Paramount Pictures has released six new first-look images (which you can check out below) for the forthcoming film Heart of the Beast. The film will be in theaters on September 25, 2025!
SYNOPSIS: After a harrowing plane crash, Special Forces officer James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his combat dog, Odin, find themselves stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness. Together, they are forced into a brutal fight for survival against the elements. From acclaimed filmmaker David Ayer, Heart of the Beast is an intense adventure thriller that explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest battle yet.

Paramount Pictures enjoyed a $55.0 million debut for its reboot of the “Scary Movie” franchise appropriately titled Scary Movie. This proved more than enough to best the debut of Masters of the Universe which took in $29.3 million for Amazon MGM Studios over the weekend. Meanwhile, last weekend’s top film, Backrooms found itself pushed down to third where it added $25.9 million to lift its two-week total to $135.1 million for A24. Similarly, Focus Features found its Obsession down two spots in fourth place where it brought in $25.6 million to bring its four-week total to $152.1 million. The final debut of the weekend belonged to The Amazing Digital Circus: The last Act, which made $11.6 million over the weekend, giving the film a fifth-place finish.
ABOUT THE FILM
In its first weekend of release, the A24 picture Backrooms managed to bring in $81.5 million while claiming the top spot of the box-office weekend top ten. This proved more than enough to best second-place finisher Obsession which held its ground from last weekend with $26.4 million, bringing the film’s three-week total to $104.8 million for Focus Features. Meanwhile, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu dropped to third place where it took in only $25.0 million – $57 million less than it brought in last weekend – to bring its two-week total to $137.4 million. Lionsgate saw Michael fall to fourth place as it pulled in $11.7 million to give the film a six-week total of $339.9 million. Sony Pictures Releasing enjoyed a fifth-place debut for The Breadwinner with $7.5 million.
In its first weekend of release, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu took control of the box-office weekend top ten, finishing in first place while bringing in a total of $82.0 million for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Meanwhile, Focus Features enjoyed a jump for Obsession as the film leapt from third to second place where it took in $22.4 million for the studio, lifting its two-week total to $52.8 million. After reclaiming first place week ago, Lionsgate’s Michael dropped to fourth place where it made $20.0 million for the studio to lift the film’s five-week total to $314.2 million. Falling three spots to a fifth place finish this weekend, The Devil Wears Prada 2 brought in $12.6 million for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, giving the film an overall total of $196.1 million over its first four weeks in release. Holding steady in fifth place, The Sheep Detectives took in $9.0 million to bring the film’s three-week total to $43.5 for Amazon MGM Studios.
