There are several Letterboxd reviews comparing it to a cheap/weak Inception/Matrix wannabe. They may all be correct, but I loved the audacity and the look of it. Of making that unexpected one eighty halfway through a brainless disaster/apocalyptic movie and transforming it into a complex distopian heavy sci-fi, full of tech ideas and philosophical concepts, even if I couldn't fully understand half of them. And yes, I did fell in love with Kim Da-mi.

Eu podia falar do acting desta malta toda, especialmente do miúdo do "Diário de um Banana" que se transformou num verdadeiro banana, podia falar dos efeitos especiais medonhos, podia falar das promoções descaradas à Amazon - no final, é a Amazon que acaba por salvar o planeta e tudo -, podia falar da salganhada narrativa que mistura sal (família), açúcar (conspiração política) e beterraba (hackers) na mesma receita, podia falar de tudo e mais alguma coisa. Mas o que me irritou mesmo à séria nesta brincadeira é a falta de noção de tempos, da passagem do tempo, do encadeamento das acções e das respectivas reacções. É tudo instantâneo, qual episódio impossível de "24", onde entre o lançamento da bomba, a explosão, a chegada da ambulância, o tratamento dos feridos, a contagem dos mortos e a edição da filmagem do canal de notícias para a reportagem bastassem apenas dois segundos. E, claro, apenas mais um segundo para uma conclusão óbvia do Cubo de Gelo. Depois do tão afamado "oscar bait", finalmente um filme escrito, realizado e montado a pensar na criação de um novo termo cinéfilo: o "razzie bait". Vai ser uma razia.

Unlike what the majority says, it is, for me, the weakest entry in Kieslowski’s overvalued trilogy. It starts really well but it ends up relying more on conceptual symmetry around fate and destiny than on the raw exploration of grief that defines Blue or the sharp moral tension of White. Red often prioritizes intellectual closure and meta-textual unity over dramatic urgency, making it feel more like a summative thesis than a fully lived emotional experience. And so, for the first time in the whole trilogy, I felt bored midway through it.

Caso para dizer que a montanha pariu um rato. Percebe-se a ideia, percebe-se o conceito, percebe-se a crítica escondida aos dias que correm, aos gurus tecnológicos que tudo (des)controlam. Mas fica assim mesmo, escondido, sem chama, sem brilho, sem nunca explodir para o absurdo total, para a sátira sem vergonha, para os diálogos sensacionais - e não apenas sensacionalistas. Os complexos divinos, as caricaturas, tudo, tudo ao de leve, sem nunca aprofundar, sem nunca fazer rir ou, no extremo oposto, causar qualquer tipo de indignação. Tão relevante e divertido como uma palestra do Elon Musk sobre redes sociais.

Even the mighty Brendan Gleeson was afraid that Trump's petulant behavior would damage his career if he portrayed him in this. And so, he refused to do any interviews or press during the release of it. Great acting by both Gleeson and Daniels. As for what history will recall in fifty years, Trump did not create polarization, but he sure intensified and weaponized it. Politics became tribal and loyalty to the orange meathead mattered more than expertise or professionalism. This story is a good example of it. Trump and his Trumpets are above the law and, sadly, I bet American politics will never fully return to the pre-2016 tone.

O rei da montanha, o pirata filósofo, o defensor da classe, o amigo das crianças. Ficam melhor servidos com o artigo da bicycling.com sobre o mesmo do que com esta hora e meia de documentário, mas ainda assim é visualização obrigatória para qualquer adepto do desporto de duas rodas como eu. Vilão ou vítima de um sistema corrupto, Pantani subiu como poucos, caiu como muitos; o preço da glória numa época "negra" da UCI.
