Miu Miu, McQueen Matter

2011-11-03T11:40:00.000-07:00

I did a post on this McQueen dress a while ago, so i though i would actually ware it this time ;) the print is just so unexpectedly flattering, and with it being cotton it doesn't feel too much like evening ware.

Now, lets talk Miu Miu's, I went down to London last weekend, just for a change a scenery (+ i have this magnetic connection to Harrods) So i went shopping and as per usual i found a shoe that i perceived to be the be all and end all of shoes ! after fining out they were the last in stock is stock, not just in my size but every size. It upped the anti. So after much perturbation and contention with the economical side of my brain i bought them. The 'lean back heel' the satin on suede, the boot peep toe element... Let me know what you think :)

To finnish things of a great song.

Inspired Much

Ulyana Sergeenko's debut collection, cant go wrong with 1940's silhouette and those luxurious fabrics.

SinkingSoon

2011-10-16T06:25:00.000-07:00

Heel slipping squelching and sinking but still so comfortable in Zara heels and polo neck, jack wills jeans, vintage Japanese scarf and toping of the outfit with mimco necklace, which i must admit i am quite besotted with.

Safety Pined

2011-10-12T12:42:00.000-07:00

This dress is the perfect combination of print, sheerness and length, from Alexander Mcqueen's AW11 collection. I have recently really been enjoying the introduction of the midi length, its classy and elegant but above all it is great for those transitional months in which the wether becomes indecisive.

still waiting for a certain package from ebay, with a certain cuff inside it to arrive.

Hope Everyone is Having a Great Week :)

A Few Favorites

2011-10-08T02:58:00.000-07:00

1. Frankie Morello.

I really enjoyed this season from Morello because of corse for it playful 50's inspired looks, but also for those amazing biker shorts, i need a pair !

2. Hakaan

The shoes were the icing on top of the cake in this athletic collection, simple strappy wonders

3. Yohji Yamamoto

4. Celine = clean lines and simplicity

Posting to Say...

2011-10-04T10:23:00.000-07:00

Waring: Zara shirt and bag / Alexander Wang waistcoat / Rayban Wayfarer / Thrift toruses / Topshop flats.

Some of you probably wont know this but i have a brace which i try desperately not to show, wether that be by putting on an ugly pout or hiding behind coffee cups, i try my best.

But by tomorrow at precisely 2:10pm there will be no more of that funny behavior for me.

Yes as my Grandma would say, the trimmings are coming down and i couldn't be happier.

I have fallen head over heels for a pare of black strapie lace up Pucci shoes form SS10 however this love is tragically unrequited dew to a lack of a couple of zeros on the end of my bank balance, i might manage to add that this lack of money was dew to a splurge on a Hermes cuff that i just couldn't resist

pictures will be on there way as soon as it is delivered.

New Do !

2011-09-26T13:33:00.000-07:00

My new hair cut.

Diesel belt / DIY Shorts / Ash Boots / Vintage polo-neck.

The wether was just so beautiful i couldn't resist, it was one of those crisp almost winter evenings where the sun just manages to pierce through the clouds and create dazzling golden light.

Any way less about the wether, i have really been getting into my polo necks recently there is something really flattering about this partly shear vintage one that i keep returning to.

Pictures taken post Fashion's Night Out at Harvey Nickols. i had such a great time and met so many loverly bloggers, who shared some of the tricks of the trade with me. The show it's self was great too, so many desired pieces it's almost difficult to handle.

sorry about the shoe and bag combo again, i promise this is the last post featuring them together.

Early Realizations

2011-08-30T08:47:00.000-07:00

So today was kind of a first, i went into the city and and took pictures for this post, and you know i don't think i ever really thought before about what a fashion blog really entails. i thought i could lock my self in may room and take happy amateur snaps with my tripod and self timer but i couldn't have been more wrong.

People stop and watch you and its really quite strange and unnerving you have to create a very thick skin. and at the end of the day it all about street style and i guess being in the public eye and putting yourself out there. So expect a lot more location shots :)

And thank you to my few followers who have stuck with me while i learn and grow into blogging

Under Cover ?

2011-08-22T15:05:00.000-07:00

J Crew Jeans / All Saints trench / Topshop Waistcoat / Alexander Wang Bag / Acne Boots.

Hello Everybody !!

went to this bustling idilic park today in my new trench, waahooo i have loved trench coats since i can remember. there is something so mysterious about there under cover agent allure. so i jumped at the chance to finally buy one, convincing my self it was a key investment or something like that. Also photographed are my trusty old J Crew jeans faded in all the right places, and flaring perfectly over my uniform boots.

Go To For Comfort

2011-08-13T08:19:00.000-07:00

Just a simple outfit post today in the quaintest Georgian village ever. For some reason i really wanted to ware leather today (all i am missing is leather pants ;) but I'm thinking maybe that would have been a bit too much ?)

I have had these leather boot for what seems like forever and they are my go to shoe for comfort... i know what your thinking they are kind of really ugly but they have charmed me by there comfort and wearability and the built in socks.

Now i am going to lock myself in my art studio and finally finish the piece i have mentioned a couple of times.

Sounds of Summer

2011-08-10T03:53:00.000-07:00

This picture is amazing, cant even begin to conceive how it was done

Neon Yuumm !!

I hate to be admitting it but over in England summer is basically over my holiday consisted of visiting my two favorite city's New York and London. Right now i'm feeling deprived of a holiday where the only thing on the agenda is lounging about soaking up the sun ( or in my case burning in the sun ) so this post is for anyone else who wants to hold on to summer for a little longer :)

The Simple Things

2011-08-08T09:57:00.000-07:00

Yuummm !!

Zara skirt and jumper / Rag & Bone hat / Alexander Wang Bucket bag.

Aching feet, Scoping out the new collections, Trying to get through every flavor macaroon and failing, Running through pigeons for the shear fun of it, Getting weak at the knees over this seasons new furs, Lion King, Slowly falling into a coma when having afternoon tea, Watching the London Triathlon and then hiding in the nearest shop to escape the rain. Just a couple of things we did in london this weekend.

LOVE

2011-08-01T10:44:00.000-07:00

Valentino vest / zara skirt / Daniel boots / Rag and Bone hat / Vivienne Westwood bag.

These are a few of my favorite things...

just a quick outfit post on what i have been living in, on the occasional hot day.

only just came across love magazine and it is literally like a bible in size, which makes it imposible to cram into even my biggest bag however it is a very good read :)

hope everyone is having a great monday

off to track running for me uurrgggg !!

P.S. trying to improve the look of my blog any ideas on how to get a unique looking title ?? i tried to make my own but as you can see it looks a little shabby.

Every Day Basics // The Shear Luck

2011-07-20T08:18:00.000-07:00

Ok so my basics are...

Topshop vest / Zara scarf / All saints chinos / Acne boots / and my new addition Alexander Wang bag.

Ok so i have had probably one of the luckiest weeks so far.

first i scored an amazing Zara skirt for just £12 (which i will do a post on at a later date)

Then Aimlessly wondering through Harvey Nickols i spotted this amazing Alexander Wang Bucket bag in the reduced section i thought there had to be some sort of mistake.

so i hastily made my way over, a woman on a mission. I peered inside expecting to see the slightly out of budget £695 pound on the label, only to find it had been reduced to £240 because of a tini tiny scuff on the bottom so i got it, i was over the moon... and i still am :)

hope everyones having a great week too

.kisses.

Follow Up

2011-07-13T09:48:00.000-07:00

i am really bad with clearing up after my self in my art room, so you can expect very messy palets and and oils smeared in the ramdomest of places.

I stopped posting my art but after a loverly comment on one of my art posts by a fellow blogger, i thought why not start again and this is how this peace has taken shape over a longer period of time than expected.

and i must admit i am rather pleased with it :)

.Kisses.

postpone the shopping :L

2011-07-12T05:11:00.000-07:00

unfortunately i am going to have to stop shopping for a short while and start saving for the olympus E-PL1.

been after a good quality smaill-ish camera with interchangeable lenses for ages and this seams to be the best offer (and has some really great art filters) though any ideas or helpful advice to a complete camera novice would be more than welcome :)
