A volta dos filmes 3D aos cinemas está correspondendo às expectativas dos estúdios. Prova disso é que a oferta de lançamentos no formato já apresentou alta para 2012 em relação ao ano passado. De acordo com o boletim FILME B, além dos quatro filmes 3D que já entraram em cartaz em janeiro no país, mais 36 estão programados até o fim de dezembro. A soma já supera o total de 38 filmes 3D lançados

A temporada de blockbusters de 2011 tem mais uma baixa com “Transformers: O Lado Oculto da Lua”. Novamente dirigido por Michael Bay, que fez os dois filmes anteriores da franquia, o filme aposta mais uma vez em complexos efeitos especiais, muitas explosões, destruição e barulho.

“Kung Fu Panda” tenta ocupar o espaço deixado pelo ogro Shrek como grande franquia da DreamWorks Animation. Os dois personagens se parecem em vários aspectos: são grandes, gordos e desengonçados. Mas pelo menos em dois aspectos o urso panda Po ganha do monstro verde dos contos de fada: ele é mais carismático e suas histórias, pelo menos até agora, estão bem mais divertidas.

Geralmente, personagens de comédias românticas passam por uma mudança ao longo do filme, até mesmo pelo bem do efeito da redenção. Em “Qualquer Gato Vira-Lata”, não: ao final do filme, os protagonistas permanecem da mesma forma como os conhecemos no início da história. É irônico, uma vez que os personagens se propõem a mudar depois de passarem por decepções amorosas.
