Alex Pandian gets trimmed - Why?

Alex Pandian, Karthi's recent film was released globe-wide on January 12th 2013 (yesterday). The original running time of the film was 164 Minutes.

The Team of "Alex Pandian" had watched the film in theaters with the audience and after doing that they've decided that the film is too lengthy and now they have decided to trim about 15 Minutes of the film. One of the main cut offs would be the song Naalu Pakkam.

The film stars Karthi, Santhanam and Anushka as the heroine.

Hansraj Saxena who used to be the former chief of Sun Picture's had recently produced his first film 'Charulatha' starring Priya Mani in dual roles now he is currently busy producing his next venture which is titled 'Shivani'.

The film, 'Shivani' falls under the category 'Horror/Thriller' which is being produced under the Sax Pictures Banner. Saxena has now brought together 10 young heroes from Tamil Cinema for a song sequence for his upcoming flick 'Shivani'.

The video song features some of the top rising stars from the Tamil Film Industry such as, Nandha, Sathya, Shanthanoo.B and Bharath. The Video for the song has already been shot at a night club in Chennai.

The promotion of the film will kick start soon and H.Saxena has already started to think about new strategies to push the film to being a big hit.

An impending film of Ajith is to be directed by Siva who had directed Siruthai with Karthi and Tamannah. The flick with Ajith will kick start as soon as Ajith is done shooting with Vishnuvardhan.

If reports are to be believed then Devi Sri Prasad will be composing a peppy number as Ajith's Introduction song for the film at a studio in Chennai on the 2nd of December. The film will be produced by Vijaya Productions and Anushka Shetty has been roped in to play the female lead (heroine).

In Vijay's recent flick 'Thuppakki', Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal had crossed swords with Vijay. With Thuppakki running successfully worldwide, Vijay has already started his next film. The title of the film is untitled. When Director Vijay was looking for a suitable person to take on the Villain role against Ilayathalapathi, Amala Paul who will be pairing up with Vijay suggested that Rajeev Pillai from Mollywood would be perfect for the role.

Amala Paul and Rajeev Pillai are good friends, they have been thick friends ever since back in the days when they used to model. The Vijay-Vijay flick has already been launched a few days ago. G V Prakash Kumar will be scoring the music for the film. Cinematography will be done by Nirav Shah.

Two directors have been arrested

A complaint has been filed against two directors, director Kicha who have done films like Bhavani and Maasi and director PV Prasad who did a movie with Nakul titled 'Kadhalil Vizhunthaen' has been arrested by the Chennai police in a cheating case.

Producer Tamil Kumaran who we might all know from serials such as Annamalai, Kolangal and Chithi has filed a case against those two directors. The producer has alleged that the two directors have cheated him with nearly 65 lakhs. They promised that they will make a movie with the producers son, Vishwa but failed to keep their word. Arjun's upcoming film 'Maasi' has been delayed due to this issue since Kicha is the director of this film.

Dhanush's Film To Be Auctioned

If reports from Kollywood are to be believed then the film '3' will be auctioned, and the producers are expecting 70 crores for the film. As we may all know that the song from this film had gone viral, 'Why This Kolaveri Di' which was sung by the hero of the film, Dhanush. The audience have high expectations for this movie due to the song being a phenomenal hit which has almost 47 million views on youtube.

The film is produced by Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja. The music for this film has been scored by Anirudh Ravichander. '3' is being directed by Dhanush's wife, Aishwarya Rajinikanth who is also the daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth. Shruti Haasan who is the daughter of Kamal Haasan will be doing the female lead role in this film.

Hansika, Dream Girl Of 2011

Hansika Motwani who's debut film was 'Mappillai' acting along side Dhanush, is now on cloud nine, she has been voted as the Tamil Cinema's 'Dream Girl' by a Tamil Association located in Singapore.

She has also done two other films, 'Engeyum Kaadhal' with Jayam Ravi and 'Velayudham' with Vijay. She is currently working on a film titled 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' which is in Post-Production, and the other film she is working on is 'Vettai Mannan' which is currently being filmed at the moment.

Hansika had started her career off acting in Hindi serials, the first Hindi serial she acted in was, 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' which was aired in the year 1999. She has acted in more than four serials, seven to be exact. In 2007 Hansika had won Filmfare Best Female Debut (South) for the Telugu film 'Desamuduru'.

While talking to the press, Hansika said that she is thankful to her fans who think that she is fit for a dream girl. She also promised that she will work hard and live up to everyones expectations.

After she finished with Vettai Mannan opposite STR she will be Suriya's heroine in the film Singam 2. There are talks that she will also be acting opposite Vishal under Sundar C's direction.

The sons of veteran actor Sivakumar, Karthi and Surya will release the audio of the film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi along with the trailer of the film on March 5th together. OK OK Aka Oru Kal Oru Kannadi is a romantic - comedy film which is directed by M Rajesh, who also penned the story as well.

The film is named after a song from Rajesh's first movie - Siva Manasula Sakthi which had Jeeva doing the main role. OK OK would be Udhayanidhi Stalin's first movie as a hero. The music has been scored by Harris Jayaraj.

The heroine of the film is Hansika Motwani, Santhanam is playing an important role in the movie. Three stars will be doing a guest appearance role in the film, they are actress Sneha, actor Arya and actor-singer Andrea Jeremiah.

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi is being produced by Red Giant movies. The shooting of the film has finished and post-production works are in the final stages. The film is to be released in summer.

Anjali plays sister-in-law

One man's trash is another man's treasure, well that's the case when it comes to films, when heroines/heroes reject a film, the film goes to some other actor or actress. Those who refuse to act in the film think the film won't be a big hit so they reject the offer to act in the specific film, but the film goes beyond everyone's expectations and wins huge at the box office after it's released. That's when they regret not taking the offer to act in that film which they refused to act in.

Director Srikanth Addala is looking for a female lead to act in his upcoming film 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu'. (wow can the title get any longer?) The director had asked many heroines to act in the film as Mahesh Baby's sister-in-law but they all refused the offer and didn't want to play a sister-in-law role. One of the heroines who've refused the offer is Trisha, but when Anjali was approached by the director, she said that she agrees to do the film because the role was very substantial.

Anjali will play Venkatesh's pair in the film. (Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu) Which is a Telugu film being directed by Srikanth Addala and Produced by Dil Raju.

You know how they say don't judge a book by it's cover, well don't judge a movie by how much the budget is, many low budget films have done very well at the box office, all you need is a good director, actors who can really act! and a good story.

Pooja in Bala's film again?

Director Bala who is one of the top directors in Kollywood is now planning on getting actress Pooja to do a role in 'Eriyum Thanal'.

Bala is about to do a test shoot with Pooja and if everything goes as he wishes he will soon announce Pooja as the heroine of 'Eriyum Thanal'.

'Eriyum Thanal' has Atharva as the hero and Vedhika as a female lead in the film.

Music for the film is being scored by G. V. Prakash Kumar.

Sources say that this film is mainly based on a Malayalam Novel, they are also planning on releasing the film on June 6th 2012.

Dhanush has been confirmed

It is well known that Arya had walked out of a film which was to be directed by Saravanan, who's recent movie was Engeyum Eppothum. There were talks that Dhanush or Telugu actor Ram could be signed up for this movie.

Now Dhanush has been confirmed for the film and he has agreed to play the lead role. The shooting for this film will kick start soon. Tirupathi Brothers, Lingusamy's production house will produce the film.

They are also planning on releasing this film in Telugu as well, but it's not clear if Dhanush would do the lead role in Telugu.

Saguni in Poland

Saguni is an upcoming tamil film which has Karthi and Pranitha in the lead roles. The film is being produced under Dream Warrior Pictures studio and directed by Shankar Dayal. Saguni also has Roja, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Mumtaj, Santhanam, Nassar and Salim Ghouse in supporting roles. The shooting for Saguni had started in April of 2011 and will be released for Tamil New Year (April 14th 2012).

Recently the director of the film, Shankar Dayal has talked to the media and he had mentioned, that two songs from the film have been shot in Poland. The song 'Vellai Bambaram' which has been sung by Baba Sehgal, Priya Himesh and penned by Vivega has been shot at the wonderful architectural buildings in Poland. The second song, 'Manasellam Mazhaiye' which has been penned by NA Muthukumar and sung by Sonu Nigam, Saindhavi and shot at picturesque location in Poland.

The song 'Kandha Kaara Vadai' has been penned by Paramu and sung by Shankar Mahadevan. The fourth song is titled, ' Pottadhu Pathalai Maapillai , lyrics by Annamalai and sung by Velmurugan. The 5th and final song in Saguni has been sung by Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, lyrics written by Na. Muthukumar. The director also mentioned that the audio launch of Saguni will take place soon.
