New in: make-up

essence 'get big lashes' mascara, NYX eyeshadow palette in 'Bohemian Rhapsody', Manhattan lipstick #54V

I recently made some purchases in the make-up department and the products turned out to be amazing, so I wanted to share these with you. The mascara is, hands down, really cheap, but it works really well. It creates a lot of volume! Love!
The NYX palette is said to be a very good dupe to the famous 'Naked' palette. I can't judge that, but it surely is a very good product. I'm using it almost every day.
I was looking for a really dark red lipstick and this one was the only one that matched the colour I had in mind (it's darker in reality than it is in the photo). And it's really good. You'll see me wearing it pretty soon.

We finally got to take some pictures in the snow. It already got a lot warmer, though, compared to the arctic temperatures we had some days ago. Now I'm gonna have to do some serious studying. I f***ed up yesterday's exam pretty badly, so that better not happen again.

DIY: leopard shorts

Why is it that whenever I have exams coming up I get loads of ideas for DIYs? In my defence I have to say that this one really didn't take long. I just cut out the leopard fabric and stuck it onto the shorts with loads of glue.
How do you like my new shorts?
Oh, and wish me luck for today! I'm writing my first exam (of a total six, ugh).

How nice is it that the coat has a 'C' on the back? No, I did not have it custom made because my name begins with a C, the brand is called 'Criminal', hence the C. It's still a nice coincidence! I've actually had that coat for a really long time now, so it looks a little worn out already, but I still love it and it's definitely one of the warmest I own. Comes in handy with the freezing weather we're facing here right now.

I've got a whole day of massive studying ahead of me. Exams start monday, and, let's just say - there's a lot of info I'd still like to stuff into my brain until then. Somehow. So I'll leave you with a little beauty tip for today.

I acutally got the 'Blush by Marc Jacobs' perfume as a cute little tester and it smells pretty good. At first I thought it smelled like a clean hotel room, but as it develops it's a nice mix of fresh and sweet. It's a very subtle perfume, not too attention-drawing, really nice.

The Smashbox high definition foundation, powder and concealer are perfect! I got the lightest colour and it still is a little too dark for my skin, but that doesn't show as much since this make-up provides perfect coverage. Love it!

Remember when I told you about the scarf I was knitting? Well, it's finally done now. After many evenings watching the german edition of "I'm a celebrity - get me outta here" (it's a guilty pleasure and I admit it!) I ultimately succeeded. I love this superlong, chunky, warm scarf. It has its flaws, but it's perfect! haha

First of all: excuse my face, I was playing around with my make-up...
I allowed myself to take a break from the frustration of studying to try on the new dress my mum bought, then decided she didn't want and gave to me. I love the leather details!
I actually spent an hour doing my make-up. I was just looking for something to do other than studying, I guess. I have that one hard law exam in two weeks and if I don't pass it, they'll basically kick me out. I have a feeling that is going to happen. So whilst one part of me is already trying to make up a plan B, the other half is strictly believing in "if you're making a plan B you've already given up". Oh, God, just please let me pass!

I guess I have a thing for eye-catching pants. I'm really loving the silver-pants trend, I actually bought these before I knew it was a trend. It was one of last year's lucky sale purchases. I do however find it tough to combine them with a top, so it always becomes this floppy sweater instead of something fancy. I like how it dresses down the pants, but I still think there has to be a better combination. Next ime, I guess. How do you like the outfit?

Tried another manicure yet again after spending two full days without any nailpolish on (clear coat doesn't count, does it?). I see the beauty of natural nails, but I can't help but to feel naked without nailpolish. So I put on some nude polish and a tad of silver. How do you like it?

Yummy Sunday: Chocolate Brownies recipe

I thought it'd be fun to open a new sort of section on the blog, so today I'm starting with the "Yummy Sunday" series. I will share recipes, food inspiration etc. with you, not every Sunday though (as my kitchen skills aren't endless). But I'll collect anything food related and then post it in a "Yummy Sunday" post. How does that sound to you guys?

For today, I'll start with a simple chocolate brownies recipe I found on the internet and tried on friday night. I also made a little video about it - hope you like!

Ingredients:
- 120g chocolate (60% cocoa)
- 230g butter
- 480g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 140g flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

How to:
1. Melt the butter in a pot (low heat) and then add all the sugar and the eggs.
2. Take another pot and melt the chocolate in it (on low heat, too). Then add the chocolate to the mixture in the other pot.
3. Mix the flour, salt and baking powder, then pour into the mixture and stir well.
4. Pour the dough into a baking pan (I didn't have a rectangular one, so I took a cake pan), heat the oven to 180°C and let the brownies bake for maximum 30 minutes (they must not get dry!).

Here's what you're looking at:

1. We're having a non-white winter here, but last Friday there was a little snowstorm.
Lucky me - I was at home and thus able to capture the moment
2. Exams are coming up and time is passing too fast once again. I hate studying,
but what has to be done... Somehow using a pink highlighter motivates me. And also, I like to watch
movies while studying. I know, not advisable, but I can't study in complete silence - it actually makes me nervous.
3. My skin got so bad lately, so I needed a facial. Done!
4. And last but not least: did some good sale shopping. You have seen most of
the items in outfit posts already (or will see them soon, anyways).

I know, my life is that exciting at the moment.

I got this jumper in the men's section while sale shopping. It was reduced from €35 to €3 - talk about a bargain!! I love the colour, anything in that type of blue instantly catches my eye. So, naturally, I had to bring this one home with me. I don't mind it being a little big on me (it's a men's size M), think it makes the whole look with the leggings and the shirt. How do you guys like it?
