I Can't Stand..

Today's Promt: Rant about something. Get up on your soapbox and tell us how you really feel. (a pet peeve, a current event, a controversial topic, something your husband or roommate or neighbor or boss does that really ticks you off)

Let's do this!

Here is a list of things that bother me...

1. I can't stand complainers (people who complain). I don't like to hear people whine and complain and just live their life looking at everything in a negative way.

God is so good! You have life! There is ALWAYS someone out there who has it WAY worse than you! Be thankful for what you have and focus on that.

2. I can't stand people who think they're always right. Prideful people who can't accept when their wrong or make mistakes.

You are not perfect! We all make mistakes! We all need more of God. God cannot work in you if you don't accept you need him. No one is better than anyone. Pride is one of the main things that keeps people from accepting Christ. Prideful people have a hard time accepting they're wrong therefore they feel they don't need forgiveness and they don't need Christ.

3. I can't stand racist people. People making other feel less because of their race.

Christ didn't die for a specific race. He loves everyone the same. Racist people are also prideful people. People who feel better than others. You cannot proclaim to love Christ and be racist.

4. I don't understand how some parents just don't disicpline their children. Sure no one has a right to tell you how to parent your child but when that child goes around hitting other children for no reason and you don't tell them ANYTHING, then something is wrong!

This actually saddens me. If you love your children you will discipline them just like God disciplines us. If you don't there will be consequenses when those children become adults. Troubled adults almost always have a sad childhood. Either they werent disciplined or they were abused.

5. I can't stand people who abuse goverment help. (I won't even go into details you already know what I mean)

6. I can't stand drama. I don't like it. I don't want to be a part of it.

Obviously I am not perfect! The list above are just things that have been heavy on my heart for the past couple of weeks and I'm so glad that this was today's prompt so I have a chance to blog about them.

Big Fat Fail

So the whole blogging everyday in May thing....yeah I FAILED! I haven't blogged once this week and the whole reason why I'm even blogging today is just to let everyone know I haven't fogotten my blog! I've just been too busy this week. I know people always say "this week went by so fast" you hear it so often that it sometimes gets annoying but well SERIOUSLY this week went by way too fast! I mean it's already Friday! So I'm sorry I let you down but well that's how things go when you're a mom. Unexpected things happen and well the blog is and will remain my hobby and this week I just didn't have time for it. This photo of Sarah is not the best... I tried doing a mini shoot this week and she was just not feeling it so that's the only picture I have to show you all. I'll try again next week! (both blogging everyday and another mini shoot) Hope you all have a lovely weekend friends! Enjoy it with your family! Time is PRECIOUS! :)

My advice: Try Chick fil a's new salads! This is the Cobb salad and it's my NEW FAVORITE! I got it without bacon because I don't eat pork but it's SO DELICIOUS! The lime avocado ranch is the best! We seriously go to Chick fil a at least once a week! I get their e-mail updates and I like em on facebook and when I saw that they were going to sell new salads I was so excited! I LOVE salads and I LOVE chick fil a! PERFECT COMBO! So my advice may not be deep and life changing but I hope it at least made you smile...or hungry! LOL*Chick fil a DID NOT pay me or sponsor this post, This salad was seriously so good I had to share!

What I'm Afraid Of

Today's prompt:The thing(s) you're most afraid of

One thing you should know about me is I'm pretty paranoid. My sister and I used to watch shows like 48hrs where they solve murders and such. I'm pretty sure that's why I'm so paranoid. I observe people and my surroundings when I'm out. Always keeping a watchful eye for those "creepers". I plan exit strategies in my head "just in case." I guess that's a good thing but I do it because the thing I'm most of afraid of is someone hurting my family. Someone taking my kids! When I heard about the shooting in Sandy Hook I was terrified! I mean you would think your kids are safe at school but then some creep just goes in and takes innocent lives!
I realize I CAN'T control everything. I realize I CAN'T keep my kids safe at all times but there is one person who can! I pray each and every single day before I drop my son off at school. I pray for my son's safety, for my husband at work and for us (Sarah, Levi & I) at home. I pray God is with us wherever we go. I may sometimes do it in a rush when we are running late but I will NOT leave the house without praying. Why? Because I TRUST God! Because I KNOW he listens and I KNOW only he can keep us safe no matter where we are. So even though I'm human and I worry and I am afraid, when I leave those worries and fears to my Father, I know I can rest assured he is watching over us and I am at peace.

I found out about Jenni's (Story of My Life) Blog Everyday in May Challenge on Friday and since I don't blog on weekends I decided to start today. What an awesome idea! I will try to do this Mon-Fri since I'm away from my computer Sat-Sun. Let's start off with today's prompt...
If you couldn't answer with your job, how would you answer the question, 'what do you do'?

I'm pretty blessed. Just last night my husband said "it must be nice" and I answered "what must be nice?" and he said "to be able to stay home and enjoy your kids." It is nice! I sometimes get so overwhelmed, stressed out and complain. Being a stay at home mom is not easy. It is actually a HUGE responsibily. One I sometimes take lightly and don't appreciate. I realize being a stay at home mom is not an option for some. I need to stop complaining and need to be more appreciative. Especially of my husband for being so supportive! I'm feeling very thankful today. Thank you Lord for your blessings. I love what I do and I do what I love.

I know I shouldn't complain because some of you have it way worse with inches of snow outside of your homes but here in TX we were already wearing shorts and sandals and then we get a cold front! I had to bust out my scarf yesterday! My daughter + baby have been sick for the past couple of months off and on due to these sudden cold fronts. I am sick of em! So let's bring a little Sunshine + Spring into our homes by printing this printable, framing it and putting it up so that at least the inside of our homes look a little more Spring-ish than outside!

If this picture doesn't make you smile, then something is wrong with you. (kidding! sort of...) Levi is such a happy boy. Even when he's sick and stuffy he manages to smile. When I'm stressing out and I feel overwhelmed just seeing this baby smile makes it all better...

I developed an umbilical hernia after having Sarah (4 years ago) but I didn't notice until this last pregnancy. My OB recommended surgery but I had decided to wait it out because that would mean I wouldn't be able to carry Levi for 2-4 weeks after surgery. Well in the past I have gotten REALLY bad stomach pains + bloating after eating and then laying down sometimes. To the point that I bend over and cannot walk. I know that this is not normal and it would usually go away after about 2 mins or so but now this pain has been more frequent. It didn't hit me until this weekend that it could be related to my hernia. I have noticed my hernia feel bigger but I didn't think much of it. Well this weekend I got the horrible pain again! I finally decided to make an appointment which is tomorrow to schedule my surgery. I'm not gonna lie, I'm scared. I've never had surgery before. I'm nervous but most of all sad that I won't be able to breastfeed my son or carry him for a couple weeks.
His smile makes me happy. It helps me feel better. His smile brightens my day... even when all I want to do is worry, stress out and cry. I just look at his smile and I can't help but smile back.

Shopping on Instagram

I just recently found out that you can shop on instagram. How? Well people open up an instagram account and post stuff they are selling. There are TONS of moms who sell their kid's outgrown clothing. So I started following a bunch of shops and made my very first IG purchase this past week. It's something for Sarah (shocker!).
Since I need money to ~~support my shopping addiction~~ buy the kids summer clothing, I thought I would open up my own instagram shop and start selling all of the clothing my kids outgrow. I just sold all of Sarah's summer dresses from last year on Ebay(they were so hard to let go of!). I like Ebay to shop.. not so much to sell so I thought I woud give instagram a shot. I do still have a couple of Sarah's stuff left and a bunch of things Levi already outgrew. Most of Joshua's clothes I am saving for Levi so there won't be much of his stuff on there but you will find lots of baby boy clothing and girls too. I also have my entire maternity wardrobe that I would like to sell so you will see lots of cute maternity stuff.

Kids Fashion: Zara

I am obsessed with Zara. If I had the money (if I were rich) I would go crazy buying things for the kids. Yup the kids. I don't know why but I ALWAYS end up shopping for them. Even when they don't need clothes (which at the moment they do) I always end up finding cute stuff for them and I'd much rather buy them something than myself. Plus when I shop for myself I like to take my time. I like to try things on. I like to do the whole -bend down and make sure nothing shows- test and all. So as I am a momma of three now it's nearly impossible to go shopping for myself. I end up one big hot sweaty mess by then end of the shopping trip and end up depressed because "nothing fit me". So I'd much rather shop for my littles because everything looks cute on them! Here are some outfits I put together using clothing from Zara for each of my three kiddos. I WISH I could buy it all!

For those of you who don't know... Joshua aka Josh (he wants us to call him Josh) is my little big boy. He's turning SEVEN this year! (WHAT?!)

Sarah is my princess! She's my little girly girl. Loves pink, glitter and polka dots. She just turned FOUR last Saturday.

Levi is my baby. He's only three months now but wearing SIX month clothing. He's my little chunky monkey.

So I totalled up everything pictured above and it came out to: $656.70 Tha'ts without tax....I love you Zara but I can't afford you!Now I know that H&M has some similar styles for much cheaper and I am DYING to go but I'd rather not at the moment because we would probably go broke and end up with no money for groceries (seriously!). That and my husband wouldn't speak to me for a week lol. So I will patiently wait until I save up some money to get some super cute stuff for the kiddos for this summer.
Speaking of clothing.... I am thinking about opening up an Instagram shop to sell my kids outgrown clothing and ALL of my maternity stuff too. Would ya'll be interested? If so I'll post more info on another post...

The Land Of Nod Sheets Review

A couple weeks ago I wrote THIS POST to update ya'll on the golden polka dotted sheets I had purchased from Land of Nod for the shared nursery. Well The Land of Nod replied to that blog post...

Their customer service is seriously AWESOME! A couple weeks after this comment was left, I received these goodies in the mail...

I'm so happy The Land of Nod gave me a second chance to try out their products because I seriously was very dissapointed with the other sheets and thought they would all be the same. If you read my other post then you remember the other sheets faded after a couple washes and not only that they were also super thin + stiff. So honestly I didn't expect these new sheets to be any different.

Well I finally got to washing these sheets last week and they did not fade. They're color is just as bright as before washing so that's a plus. These sheets are also nicer than the other ones. They're not thin and stiff but not super soft either. So... Would I buy from The Land of Nod again? Probably. Why? The Land of Nod has the cutest bedding designs I've seen for kids and I did LOTS of browsing around looking for just the right bedding for the shared nursery. Although I'm not one to splurge I immediatley fell in LOVE with their bedding and I saved up just to buy both the crib bedding and the sheets for Sarah's bed. The Land of Nod is one of the only places I found where you can get matching bedding for both a crib + bed. Perfect for shared nurseries! So if you are looking for some cute bedding for your kiddos or if you're decorating a shared nursery I recommend you look through The Land of Nod's bedding.

Thank you Land of Nod for allowing me to give your products a second chance! I am VERY happy with my new sheets!

Sarah's fourth birthday

My little princess turned four on Saturday. I took these pictures Saturday morning (the day of her birthday) before heading to church. Instead of a party this year we let her choose a place where she wanted to go eat and pick out a toy she's been wanting. Sarah chose Cracker Barrel because she loves pancakes and a leap pad. She had a great birthday weekend! She was all smiles...

Sarah has such a sweet personality. She will smile and get all excited over the littlest of things. She loves to dress up and the cutest thing of all is after getting dressed she likes to go show her daddy so that he can tell her "Que Bonita" (How Pretty in spanish). I am so thankful for my daughter! Although she has her moments (being dramatic is a girl thing) she is overall sweet + caring. I love my mini me and I love that she calls me her "best friend." Happy Birthday Princess! May God give you MANY more years and may you ALWAYS remain in his ways.

My Little Drooler

Levi turned three months on Sunday and I haven't had the time to do a picture update with his stats and all just yet but I REALLY wanted to share these pictures with you. My little boy is officially drooling. I had forgotten how much babies drool! I had purchased these super cute bibs from one of my favorite etsy shops: Kribbe when I was pregnant with Levi and we busted them out recently because he soaks up whatever cute outfit he's wearing with drool. No worries though because these bibs are just as cute, if not cuter...

I seem to have forgotten everything! So my question is when do babies start teething? When did your kiddos get their first tooth? I can't seem to remember but I keep thinking three months is a little too soon?Linking Up..

Why I'm Not Offering Sponsorship Anymore

You guys probably didn't even notice until now but my sponsor section over on my sidebar sort of dissapeared. There's a couple reasons but mostly it comes down to....
"Ain't Nobody Got Time For That!"
LOL that's my favorite phrase at the moment (Thanks Youtube!). I tell it to my husband all the time and surprisingly he laughs everytime but I suspect it's getting old... Anyways I just don't have time to keep up with it, promote it and what not and frankly I suck at it. I wish I was awesome at promoting my sponsors you know on facebook and twitter and all of that but I'm not. I never even got the hang of twitter! Don't even get me started on that. So for now I am not offering any sponsorship spaces on my sidebar. Things may change in the future and I might be willing to try sponsorship once again but for now I'm taking a break. That's another reason why I haven't re-opened my etsy shop. I don't want to overwhelm myself with blog stuff because I do have an infant to take care of and you all know how fast babies grow!
Also I finally joined Bloglovin, I still have to add a little button for it up on my sidebar but if you want to follow me through bloglovin you can do so here. I can't believe it took me so long to join, It's so much easier to keep up with my favorite blogs rather than google reader. I already downloaded the app on my phone and transferred over my google reader blogs... all 601 of them! SERIOUSLY!

I found this super cute vintage dress last week at a children's consignment store and immediatley fell in love. It's the perfect spring dress. Sarah didn't like it at first because it's mostly blue and she's all into pink, sparkles and tutus at the moment but once I put the necklace on she loved it...

Even when she's in the picture taking mood I like bribe my child just to keep her happy and willing to take more pictures (don't judge, you know you do it too!) These last three pictures was taken after I said "Smile...remember you're getting a prize!"...

My Disappointment with Land of Nod

Yes those golden dotted sheets are gorgeous! They're perfect.....wrong! I was so excited to purchase these sheets from Land of Nod. I saved up to buy these and the crib sheet for Levi's crib to finish the shared nursery makeover only to find the sheets were a complete disapointment! After just two washes the dots faded significatly and not only that they were SUPER stiff and thin. I have a pair of sheets I bought for my daughter for $15 at Ross and those sheets are 100% better than these. I took a picture to show how badly the sheets faded. The only thing I didn't wash was the top sheet. I washed the pillow case & the fitted sheet...

I did end up getting my money back and returning the sheets but I felt I needed to write this post because a lot of people have been asking me where I got these and I only felt it fair to warn you that these $80 sheets are not worth it! Sure they're cute but why would you pay $80 for disposable sheets? I had written a review on their page before washing them and I tried to go back and write another but they never published it so if you've been thinking about getting these DON'T! I wish you could all feel how stiff and thin these sheets are!

I really wanted to LOVE Land of Nod. Their stuff online is SUPER CUTE! This was my very first purchase from them but after this experience I don't think I will be shopping there anymore.

I'm starting something new. I love looking through "What I Wore" posts but sadly I don't put a lot of effort into what I wear (It's kinda hard when you're a mom of three). I love dressing my mini me so I thought I'd do a "What Sarah Wore" series. I will post what she wears once in a while. There won't be a definite day, just whenever my little model is feeling nice enough to let me photograph her! lol She loves dressing up but she doesn't always love taking pictures. She hates standing still.

Being A Martha

A couple weeks ago I gave a bible study at our monthly women's bible study on Martha. Who is Martha you ask? Well Martha is Mary's sister, both of them along with their brother Lazarus (whom Christ resurrected) were good friends of Jesus. I have A LOT in common with Martha. I am what you would call a Type A personality kind of person. I am a list maker, I like to plan ahead and I don't like when things are out of order. You might even say I'm a bit OCD which is a whole other blog post that I want to write up and share soon. Here is the passage I focused on when studying about Martha... As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Luke 10:38-42

Yes I am a Martha! I worry too much about EVERYTHING. I overanalyze things and I stress out easily. I wish I could be more like Mary. Being a Martha isn't BAD necesarily the bad thing is when our chores and to-do lists become a priority over our relationship with our family and more importantly with our God. This is something I struggle with. Especially after having Levi, it is SO HARD to see my home disorganized, dirty dishes in the sink, piles of laundry and I don't have time to tackle it all. I have to remind myself that I'll ALWAYS have dishes to clean, clothes to wash and a house to clean but I won't have a baby for too long. I want to enjoy him as much as I can but the Martha inside of me won't let me sometimes. (Yeah that sounds a little crazy! lol) As I was studying this I felt convicted. How many of us have put our blogs first over family time? I know I have!
When I began designing blogs it was hard. Not the work itself but the time, the time I spent working was taking time away from my kiddos and I was stressing out BAD. Until my husband suggested I start a waiting list. Now I work with less people, I DO NOT work weekends or afternoons so that I can spend that time with my family. I work when I have time so I'm not on the computer all day. I am TRULY thankful for my customers because they have ALL been very understanding when things come up such as when my newborn son was in the hospital a couple weeks ago with a fever.
Finding a balance isn't easy but it's a must! If we don't have a balance between being a Martha and being a Mary we will either stress out too much or just not care at all. It's something I struggle with everyday. Tell me... do you identify yourself with Martha? or are you more of a Mary?

Levi - Two Months

Levi turned two months yesterday but because of the giveaway, I wasn't able to share this post until today. Levi is growing so fast! He gained two pounds in a month and also grew an inch. He's a happy boy! He started cooing and smiling these past couple of weeks and I love it! I love that he's starting to recognize his big brother and sister. He starts smiling and cooing when they get near him. It's the cutest thing! Levi is a pretty easy kiddo except when he's hungry! He will start grunting and within a matter of seconds he'll be screaming. He sleeps on the swing at night because he got used to it and I'm not to proud about that but momma needs her sleep! Mornings he sleeps in his bouncer and at night he will sleep in the swing and eventually he'll end up in my bed from about 3am till morning time. We started tummy time this week and here is a picture of him during tummy time...

His hair just keeps growing and growing so I'm thinking baby boy will need a haircut soon or they will be confusing him for a girl like they did with his big brother Josh! lol

GIVEAWAY RULES & DETAILS:

1. You must write a blog post in order to enter the giveaway and link it to the link party tomorrow. You can write about why your blog needs a makeover. Include graphics, color palettes and anything else that reflects your taste and what you would like your blog to look like.

2. Your blog must be on Blogger. (I currently do not work with Wordpress blogs)

3. By entering your blog into the giveaway you agree to let me go into your blog and install a design of my choice. Your blog post will give me a guide as to what you like and I will do my best to stick to it but the end result will be a complete surprise.

4. Prizes are non transferable.

5. Grand Prize winner will receive a complete blog makeover ($160 value) and 2 runner up winners will each receive $50 in credit towards any design work.

6. Your blog post must include the giveaway button that I will have up tomorrow

7. You must be a follower of Cinsarah via GFC or Facebook or both.
