On December 15th, Champion Solutions Group, a leading IT services delivery provider, will launch Champion Cloud Services, a new division that will offer consulting services to help companies leverage cloud computing to more efficiently deliver IT services to end users. Champion Cloud Services employs a unique holistic approach that factors in the goals and objectives of the business as well as IT considerations to determine and implement the right cloud-based solution for each individual client.

Can we schedule an interview with you prior to the 12/15 to give you the full scoop?

Thanks!

I am very very late in posting the comments... I found your site just now.
I agree with your comments

"The interesting thing about cloud computing is that we’ve redefined cloud computing to include everything that we already do...."

Finally I found some one who is thinking same way. Cloud computing is just a metaphor of internet. People are saying SOA is over... Actually I think
Grid computing, SOA, cloud computing are different stage of IT progression.
Web services, SOA are redefining cloud computing.

Thanks,
Amit Nandi

I also agree!

And Decision Makers, not only IT people must grasp this!

Here is somebody who understood & predicted the www quite several decades ago:
"A mechanism of world inter-communication will be devised, embracing the whole planet, freed from national hindrances and restrictions, and functioning with marvellous swiftness and perfect regularity."
{The Unfoldment of World Civilization - World Unity the Goal}
Shoghi Effendi - Haifa, 11 March 1936

Interesting enough?

Certainly that moment in time will come!

Do power utilities make a profit?

Cloud computing providers will be tomorrow utilities, likely regulated with a reasonable profit margin.

This is the same dilemma I encounter later as acting as an internal consultant: how should I convince my internal clients that behind a certain problem, there is a people problem, and, as a consequence, the solution is to adjust people attitude towards problems.

However, I believe that people like us, i.e. consultants, should pay the proper patience in Romania, where, as you say, the level of "problem acknowledgement" is sharp. Maybe, we should learn to focus advisory on urgent solution for critical problems (in traducere libere "solutii pentru dat in branci"), hoping that early warning is a lesson learned by significant failures.

How about this?
