Phantasy Star Online 2: Dark Ragne

2012-06-03T08:03:00.001+08:00

Not every mission are always available at the Quest Counter. Some missions are only playable during certain events and accessible only for a limited amount of time, they are called Emergency Missions. One of those missions is to protect the urban area from the enemy swarm and defeat the Dark Ragne.

We are currently preparing for a large-scale operation involving all Arks members.

When Emergency Mission are about to become available, a global announcement like the one above will be declared throughout the whole ship. If I remember correctly, preparations will take around 30 minutes or more before the mission becomes active so don't quit your current mission immediately since you still have some time to finish it.

The Emergency Mission is now active. We are conducting large-scale operations with the participation of all Arks members. Please visit a Quest Counter to participate in the mission.

When preparations are over, the announcement will change to the one above and the Emergency Mission will become available at the Quest Counter. Since this is a rare mission, it doesn't have much requirements and is available to about anybody, even low-level characters, which makes it is a decent stage to power level your waifus quickly. There's a time limit though, you are only given 20 minutes to defeat the boss and finish the stage.

Mouse over the image to reveal the weak points.

The Dark Ragne's weakness is located behind its head. It's usually hard to reach even with long-ranged arsenals due to the massive size of this abomination, which makes destroying the legs your first priority. Dark Ragne's legs are covered by a breakable outer shell that will start to crack and emit some kind of dark energy when you inflict enough damage to it. The part is not yet destroyed at this state, attack it more until it breaks completely.

Mouse over the image to reveal Dark Ragne's core.

Once a leg has been completely broken, the enemy will fall to the ground for a few seconds. Use this chance to climb on its back and attack the core until it gets up again. Just keep repeating this and break another leg to expose the core once again until the enemy goes down permanently.

The large-scale operation has ended. Thanks for your cooperation.

After an hour have passed, the Emergency Missions will be over. The message above will be globally announced throughout the ship and the mission will disappear from the Quest Counter. However, If you are currently playing the mission, you are still allowed to continue until you fail or complete the said mission.

This is a video of us fighting this boss. I gotta say that this is the best boss run I've recorded during the whole beta test. With three Rangers spamming Weak Bullets everywhere and a Hunter going berserk on the field, we destroyed this monster with absolute ease and with a lot of time to spare. We also got an S-rank even though we rushed through the stage and didn't kill much of the enemy swarm.

Here are more videos from other players. I hope to play with them again during the upcoming open beta and the inevitable official release. Registrations for the open beta are already ongoing, while news regarding the launch period will be announced next week. The wait is more painful than it seems and is already killing me!!!

If you register now for the open beta, you'll get a free Rappy Doll in your inventory during the official launch of the game. Information about how to register can be found here.

Phantasy Star Online 2: Vol Dragon

2012-05-31T03:16:00.000+08:00

Dragons have always been a staple in every Phantasy Star game. There was Dragon and Sil Dragon from the original Phantasy Star Online. We also have De Ragan and its many variants from Phantasy Star Universe. Here's the latest variant of its kind and the REAL boss of the volcanic area, Vol Dragon.

Mouse over the image to reveal the weak points.

Unlike the previous bosses, this guy doesn't need reinforcements to kick your butt and is very strong. Their large size allows them to protect their weak points by making it unreachable to many, especially Hunters with their melee range. Not only that, this dragon tend to dig underground to coat itself with a thick layer of hardened magma. Doing it twice will allow the enemy to cover their weak points entirely and make them unbreakable. They might have a couple of tricks to cover their weaknesses, but it doesn't mean that they have no exploitable ones.

1st Magma Armor © SEGA

The first way to deal with this dragon is to break the crystal on its tail. Normally, its magma armor will only break if it did the fire blast attack while in midair, but you can force it to break by smashing its crystal tail. This will immobilize the dragon for a few seconds, allowing you a clear shot of its horns. The tail recovers after a bit so you'll have to break it again and again.

2nd Magma Armor © SEGA

Second method would require a Force in the party to spam ice techniques on its legs until the monster is frozen in place, then attack its horns before the ice melts. While this might look more efficient than the previous method, I suggest breaking its tail instead since breaking more parts will reward you with more items afterwards. More reward items would give you a higher chance to acquire those Vol Soul equipments.

Here's a video of my team beating the giant lizard. Fighting this guy really reminded me of Monster Hunter and God Eater Burst, especially since this monster have more breakable parts than the previous bosses. Although we broke the tail twice, we couldn't break any of the horns so this run kinda sucks.

[Momoyo's PSO2 Video Playlist]

Here are more videos from my friends and companions. Both are Hunters but they use different weapons during the battle. Momoyo is equipped with a wired lance while Domenica prefers swords and partisans.

[Domenica's PSO2 Video Playlist]

That's all for now. Next post would be about the Emergency Missions and the last available boss during the Closed Beta.

Cirnopoly: I'm Breaking My Limits!

2012-05-28T01:06:00.000+08:00

I'm finally breaking my limits by exceeding the Power Level of 999,999. I should have written this post much earlier but the excitement of reaching this level was just too much that I can't help but punch rocks outside to test my new found strength. Unfortunately, I broke more fingers than rocks...

In case you missed it, here's a screenshot of the full 9 hit counter before I exceeded a million views. Doesn't it look kinda cool? Next number with a full 9 would be 9,999,999. My blog is only a bit over a year old, I wonder how many years it'll take me to reach that level.

I'm sure that most of you have haven't seen my old layout yet, so take a look at the picture above. During that time, I only have 5 followers and my posts rarely gets any comments. I was really happy back then to receive even a single comment since only my Dissidia posts are receiving attention while the rest are being ignored. My old background image is now being used by my YouTube channel.

Here's the overall statistics of my blog. Aside from the most disappointing anime of last season, Guilty Crown, my Fate/Extra walkthrough really gets a ton of attention and is the main reason why I reached this much Power Level in such a short period of time. I gotta say that I'm lucky that not much people wrote FAQs and guides for that game, because I kinda monopolized all the audiences.

Search keywords aren't much different and mostly consist of Guilty Crown and Fate/Extra. It makes me happy to see that my old posts like Aria and Enma are getting some attention though, since they were pretty much ignored back then.

I'm surprised that my country, Philippines, is on 2nd place. I mean, it's just a tiny country compared to the United States. I guess I can thank Google's country filter for that... Or maybe, they might all be me refreshing the site to see if there's any new comments. Could it be possible?

This is my list of Top 15 Commenters. They are the people who empowers me to write a post everytime I lose my motivation. You don't know how much a bit of feedback from you people can mean so much to me. Thank you all, you are the best audience ever.

Phantasy Star Online 2: Caterdra'n

2012-05-22T22:09:00.000+08:00

Here's the boss of the volcanic area, the Caterdra'n. From its name, It's pretty obvious that it came from the nouns "Caterpillar" and "Dragon", making this boss nothing but a larva of this area's real boss. This dragon might still be a baby but it's packed with a crystal tail that can smash rocks with ease!

Mouse over the image to reveal the weak points.

Similar to the Rockbear, more of them will spawn if there are more players in your party, but the maximum spawn rate is still 3. It's annoying to fight them all in one place so you'll be forced to split up and fight them individually, preventing you from ganging up on them.

When this boss tries to bite you from a distance, its body will extend and its squishy body will be exposed for a few seconds until it retracts back to normal. Those squishy parts are its weak point. This enemy also have a large crystal on its tail that will break if you inflict enough damage to it. Once broken, it becomes another weak point that you can abuse to deal MASSIVE DAMAGE!!

Here's a video of my battle with a Caterdra'n. As you can see in the video, this isn't an ordinary Caterdra'n, but one with a Darker Core attached to its eye sockets (ouch!). Those cores makes them stronger and tougher but the core becomes another weak point in exchange. Our battle with this boss kinda sucked since we never got to break its tail, which leads us to the video below.

I'm borrowing another video from Momoyo since their battle went a lot better. Three Caterdra'n spawned and they managed to destroy the tail from all three of them. I guess this is one of the advantages of being a Hunter, breaking enemy parts seems to be a piece of cake for them. This task is a lot more easier especially if you have the skill "Fury Stance" at Lv.10 which allows a Hunter to greatly boost their attack in exchange for defense, turning them temporarily into Glass Cannons.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Next entry would be the REAL volcanic boss. The final form of the Caterdra'n.

Phantasy Star Online 2: Rockbears

2012-05-20T18:31:00.000+08:00

I don't know what took me so long to post videos of this game, but here they are. This is the first boss that you'll encounter in the game, the Rockbear. If you think sticks and stones may break your bones, just imagine what those rock knuckles could do to you!

Mouse over the image to reveal the weak point.

What I like about this boss is the fact that it'll call up more Rockbears if there are more players in your party. You see, boss battles usually involve a single strong enemy which you can gang up on by inviting more people to hunt it down, but this guy doesn't like to mess around. Bring more than 2 people in your party and 3 Rockbears will spawn just to fuck you up real good. AI-controlled NPCs doesn't count since they die a lot more than being helpful during boss battles. The horn on their head is their weak point, which means that any attacks done to that area will deal MASSIVE DAMAGE!

Rangers during the beta test are damn strong because of their skill, Weak Bullet. It causes any part it hits to become an instant weak point. Can't hit the horn because it's too small? Shoot the Rockbear's gigantic arm with a Weak Bullet and unleash a barrage of attacks, all your attacks will become super effective. If you hit a weak point (like the horn) with a Weak Bullet, then that area becomes a super weak point which allows you to unleash MORE MASSIVE DAMAGE!

Here's another Rockbear encounter from a player named "Momoyo" playing as a Hunter with the Wired Lance weapon equipped. Wired Lance is a new type of weapon for this game. This weapon reminds me of the Slash Harken from Code Geass except they are actual weapons instead of mechanical grappling hooks. They look kinda neat, don't they?

Fate/Zero: Mother's Day Special

2012-05-15T16:01:00.000+08:00

Of all the shows this season, I never would've imagined for this show to have an episode for this occasion. If you haven't seen the latest episode yet, then I suggest skipping this until you do. Trust me, you don't wanna ruin the most emotional part of the show.

I wanted to post this much earlier just in time for Mother's Day but Blogger gave me some trouble inserting multiple images. By the way, I cried manly tears during this episode. Being Kerry is suffering.

Fate/EXTRA: Servant Archer

2012-05-12T14:16:00.000+08:00

Archer is the middle ground between Saber and Caster. His fighting style is similar to Saber but his stat growth is similar to Caster, which won't benefit his fighting style that much. Aside from the dilemma in which status parameter to upgrade, he's relatively easy to play with. Here's a guide to playing Archer.

Archer

It is recommended to invest as much SP as possible into this parameter as this is his main stat despite having a lower growth speed.

Phantasy Star Online 2: Character Creator

2012-05-09T10:54:00.000+08:00

I was originally gonna post some awesome boss battles from Phantasy Star Online 2 Closed Beta but a certain comment caused me to change direction and write about the Character Creator instead. Expect to see a lot of skin and some female body physics.

SEGA didn't skip on the fan service this time and applied breasts physics to every female character. Of course, this only applies to Humans and Newmans since CASTs have steel robot bodies incapable of bouncing. What's weird about this is that some folks over at Japan asked the developers for an option to turn-off this delightful jiggling. I would understand if this was coming from America since it's a country that censored quite a lot of anime and videogames, but Japan? Woe is me.

Here's a video of the Character Creator. There's just so many options to create a character that I'd rather call it a Waifu Creator instead. Believe me, the majority of the players in this game plays as their waifus. Which is why everytime I enter the lobby, I see a lot of female characters in skimpy outfits everywhere. By the way, can you guess the name of the character I'm creating in the video above? She's from an anime series I've mentioned before. You'll see her name at the end of the video.

To Bersercules; if you want to see the biggest bust size available, skip over to 6:00 of the video. It's just so disgustingly huge that I refuse to post a picture here. Torpedo-tits like the one on the 1st video is just fine with me but Mega-Milk breast is just over the line.

Here's some shots from my alternate character:

Meredy

Meredy (undressed)

Now back to the 2nd video. I know that she doesn't really look like Korbo, but then again I only spent 9 minutes making her. I bet I could do better if I spend more time with her.

You can download the file from here.

If you think you can do better than me or simply want to try out PSO2's Character Creator, you can download it from PSO2's website by clicking the link above. It's around 450MB in size and also acts as a Benchmark to test whether or not your PC can handle the game.

That's all for now.

HAPPY CIRNO DE MAYO!!!

Phantasy Star Online 2: Closed Beta Trial

2012-05-06T17:20:00.000+08:00

My computer had some technical difficulties for like a month. By the time I got it fixed, Phantasy Star Online 2 by SEGA was about to start their Closed Beta Trial. Fortunately, I got invited to participate in this test and sample the game before the release date. I tell you, it was the most glorious 12 days of my life!!!

Best character creation ever!!

You start the game by making your own character. You can select from 3 races: Humans, Newmans and CASTs. A bit of a letdown was that Beasts and Deumans from Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity were not included in this game. Then again, I could understand their decision since this is based on the old PSO and not PSU.

Another shot without the interface.

The character creation is so damn good you could customize just about anything. You can adjust the shape of your character's eyes, nose, mouth, or face. Heck, you could even adjust how big the boobs you want. Unfortunately though, if your character is a woman, you can't have her flat-chested. SEGA requires you to put boobs on women, but you can still make it really really small though, just not flat.

Full body shot of my character.

What I liked about this game is that female CASTs (Caseals) have those delicious robot joints all exposed. You see those exposed parts between her torso and her legs? It's so freakin' hot, man! While female CASTs got some delicious ball joints and cold-steel boobs, the male CASTs population looks so generic that they look like a bunch of Gundams.

She's an NPC named Echo.

This game also implemented the Partner Cards just like in PSU. It allows you to form a party with AI NPCs just in case you don't have any friends online or if you are forever alone. Who needs friends anyway when you have those not-so-intelligent AIs that won't heal you when you're in danger. Or won't revive you when you are dead.

Patty and Tea bumping into my character.

What I enjoyed most about this game is how random the field is. Sometimes you'll randomly meet NPCs, sometimes an enemy boss will just spawn in the middle of nowhere just to ruin your fun and fuck you over. They even appear when you least expect it, like when you are low on healing items or alone on the field. It's quite enjoyable though if you're with a full party and ready to kick their ass.

Most awesome NPC in the game, Lisa.

This is my favorite NPC, Lisa. She talks funny that it almost sounds psychopathic. She is voiced by Kana Hanazawa, the same voice actress who did Ayaka Sajou (Fate/Prototype), Ayase Shinomiya (Guilty Crown), and Charlotte Dunois (Infinite Startos). If you accepted her client requests, she tells you to kill native creatures in the forest using guns and launchers. Isn't she adorable?

Hottest nurse in the game, Philia.

Well actually, she's the only nurse I can remember. I'm sure there are others but I can't remember them. Too bad she's human and doesn't have those delicious ball joints underneath her skirt.

Matoi kinda reminds me of Inori from Guilty Crown.

Now this is Matoi. I'm guessing that she's the Rupika of this game since you'll find her unconscious in the forest and you'll have to bring her back to the ship to save her life. Looking at her dress reminds me a lot of Inori from Guilty Crown. Now, if only this girl could sing something.

Oh, god! My character looks good.

I swear to god that my character wasn't this pale during character creation. I mean, she's really pale but not THAT pale! Now, she looks like she's as white as snow. Not like I have any major problems with it, snow white skin is good too but she kinda looks lifeless.

The Arks lobby.

The lobby looks awesome. With all those tiny monitors up there, I wonder if the population really do read all those stuff. You'll need a telescope to read what's written in those monitors, or maybe really really long legs. Flight might be another option too but making the monitors bigger might be the smartest move..

My character wearing a Rappy Suit.

Have you played one of those scratch-and-win lottery tickets? This game have something similar to that and you have to buy a lot of those scratch cards if you want to win this Rappy Suit. Lucky for me, I've only spent every Arks Cash I have to get them. At least, my character looks cute in yellow.

The last few moments of the Closed Beta Trial.

Like any other good things in life, it just had to end. I can't remember how much sleep I missed or how much dinner I skipped to play this game to the fullest but it was all worth it. I've managed to reach the level cap of Level 20 for each class; Hunter, Ranger and Force. My armors were all upgraded to +10 with Stamina Boost and Stamina II. My weapons were also upgraded to +10 with great effects as well. What I miss the most though was the people who became my online buddies. Thanks guys, I miss you all.

Hatsune Miku: Live Concert in Tokyo 2012 (Part 2)

2012-03-12T02:27:00.003+08:00

While it was somehow disappointing that the songs were almost unchanged from her previous two thanksgiving concerts, the improvements and slight changes they made to the music and the overall performance made this event a must watch for every Vocaloid fan.

Tell Your World feat. Hatsune Miku

Po Pi Po (Vegetable Juice) feat. Hatsune Miku

Puzzle feat. Hatsune Miku

Kodoku no Hate (The End of Solitude) feat. Kagamine Rin

Migikata no Chou (Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder) feat. Kagamine Len

Just Be Friends feat. Megurine Luka

Promise feat. Kagamine Rin and Hatsune Miku

World’s End Dancehall feat. Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka

The new costumes were quite fascinating. I've only seen the video once but the improvements I saw from watching the concert were:

Ura-Omote Lovers (Two-Faced Lovers) feat. Hatsune Miku
The dance moves she performed during this song is different compared to her previous concerts. She now uses her moves from the videogame, Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Extend (PSP). I'm not sure about the length of the song but I think they used the extended version as well since the song kinda felt longer. Her new dance steps were adorable and I love it a lot!

Migikata no Chou (Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder) feat. Kagamine Len
His previous performances were shared with his twin sister, Rin, but now he does this song solo. I'm kinda sad to not see the twins together since I loved their mirrored dance performance but I guess Len deserves the spotlight at least once in this event. His moves were also taken from the videogame, Hatsune Miku Project DIVA 2nd (PSP).

Magnet feat. Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka
They added bloody saxophones to the friggin music!! Everyone knows how sexy the music sax creates. So, yeah! Miku and Luka was singing on stage about their forbidden love with each other, then BOOM! Saxophone solo!! It kinda felt like watching musical porn or something, eargasms everywhere. Quite an upgrade I must say.

Kodoku no Hate (The End of Solitude) feat. Kagamine Rin
Rin performs this song with a guitar. What's so good about this is that she's not just banging on the guitar pretending to play it while singing, she actually looks like she's playing something. A nice touch added by SEGA that makes the concert feel more LIVE despite the fact that the singer's actions were all pre-rendered and their voice were pre-recorded.

Puzzle feat. Hatsune Miku
Similar to the previous entry, Miku performs this song with a guitar and plays them along as she sings. I really liked this song of hers and with the added guitar plus the extended music really made it feel different. They must've motion captured someone playing the guitar to make it look this realistic. I'm not a guitar expert but I think her guitar is a Fender Stratocaster. Just compare it to the image below.

Goddamn it! I want this guitar now!

Here's a video of her 39's Giving Day concert from 2010. This is the part were she introduces the band that plays with her on stage. They are named The 39's (pronounced as The Thanks) and is composed of Kuroda Akidoshi (Guitar), Hanaka Shingo (Bass), Okina Shin (Drums), Abe Jun (Keyboards), and lastly Hatsune Miku (Vocals).

Presenting the band on Hatsune Miku's 39's Giving Day 2010

Hatsune Miku: Live Concert in Tokyo 2012 (Part 1)

2012-03-09T14:58:00.001+08:00

I've been gone for a whole week and what did I miss while I was gone? Hatsune Miku's 2 day live concert. I've been anticipating this concert since mid 2011 and then suddenly forgot everything about it until now. I missed the livestream but luckily, I can still watch the replay anytime online.

The first day of the concert is Miku's Live Party 2012 (MIKUPA for short, MIKU + PA from PArty) and is produced by 5bp. Their Tokyo concert last year was a disappointment because they used a cheap looking black screen instead of the transparent one used by SEGA and their models are obviously inferior but they have a lot of songs and medleys. Those problems were kinda fixed during their next Sapporo concert from last year. Their models have improved and they used a transparent screen. The concert had less songs but the songs were longer.

This is my favorite song from the previous MIKUPA concert.

The second day of the concert is what I'm anticipating the most. It's the 39's Givings Day produced by SEGA. The number 39 is actually a pun and is pronounced as "SAN KYU" or "Thank You" in English. This makes the title actually Miku's Thanksgiving Day. SEGA bought this concert to the US with MIKUNOPOLIS in LOS ANGELES concert last year. Their concert looks a lot better and their models are superb but if you're playing Hatsune Miku Project DIVA for the PSP by SEGA, their choice of songs will sound repetitive at some point. Heck, their dance moves are even similar to their game counterpart.

This is my favorite song from the previous 39's Giving Day concert.

It's too bad that I can never watch any of these concerts live and have to be content with just watching the livestream or the BDs. Sucks to be me. Livestream tickets are still available until March 15 for $40 through Nico Nico Live. I've only seen the the first concert at this moment and it's the best 2 hours of my life!! I can't wait to see the second concert.

Guilty Crown: Dear... (Ep.18)

2012-03-03T03:21:00.001+08:00

After Shu was betrayed by everyone he trusted, he started blaming himself for everything. Inori tries her very best to nurse him back to shape and protect him from his enemies, but all he does is drown in self pity. Can Inori protect her beloved Shu or will she be consumed by the monster inside of her?

Estuan interus ira vehementi, Sephiroth!

A stealth bomber arrives to drop warheads on their location and destroy everything in sight. The pathetic elite force that betrayed Shu asked Gai for help instead. What did he do? He fused their voids together to make a missile that destroyed the bomber. Of course, since the missile void exploded, the three elite force died as well. Hell yeah! Gai might be a total dick but I forgive him for sacrificing those traitors.

Obligatory wheelchair girl screenshot.

After the commotion, Ayase and Tsugumi talked to the dead guy and asked him what happened. He replied by ordering his robots to attack the two girls. Daryl went from tsuntsun to deredere in an instant and protected his black haired loli. Of course, like in all the episodes he appeared in, he lost. But at least his beloved loli managed to escape.

Shu's mom is the hottest MILF ever!

Haruka was feeling guilty for what happened to Shu but also relieved that her son doesn't need to carry the burden of their sins anymore. He might have lost his arm but at least he can go back to living a normal life once again. Normal life without his right arm? Are you fuckin' kidding me!?

Why is this whore still alive!!? For Christ sake, will somebody kill her.

Meanwhile, Arisa became a total slut for Gai and would do everything for him despite him being a total douche to her. He doesn't even reply to her and ignores her completely but she still follows him blindly. Because of this, her grandfather came to bring back the pride their family lost because of her and to dispose the one who bought them shame. Finally, she's going to die for her sins!!

Samurai Gramps: beating guns with his katana since 1969.

Her grandfather is a total badass. He attacked the enemy using his katana even though they were using guns against him. He could've won but hesitated during the last minute on killing his grandchild. In the end, he still loved her even though she's a traitor. Of course, the traitorous bitch didn't hesitate at all in killing her grandpa and shoots him with a handgun at point blank range, direct to the heart. May he rest in the throne of heroes.

I still think she's an angel with bloodstained wings, not a monster.

Inori heard the conversation between Arisa and her grandpa and discovered that Gai's army is looking for her everywhere. She immediately returns to Shu but she was attacked by a bunch of muggers and then she passes out afterwards. She wakes up only to see the muggers all dead on the ground with a sprinkle of blood on her face. Her monstrosity has started to awaken.

King of amputee, do you have enough arms in stock?

While Inori (Mana) was busy killing people outside. Shu was too busy watching YouTube videos of himself and his former friends before they betrayed him. The video ends and he tried pressing the replay button but as he raised his arm, he didn't have one. I know that it's cruel to laugh at this moment, but watching him trying to press the replay button with his stump made me laugh like an idiot. Good luck with that Shu!

Oh, god! Mana, please kill me with your love.

Inori confronts Mana inside of her and embraced the monstrosity inside her body. After understanding her true nature, she meets with Shu for the last time to say farewell. Since the enemy is looking for her, she decided to take them down instead and protect Shu to the very last moment. A true goddess of loyalty indeed. Of course, Shu didn't agree to that plan so she was forced to knock him out and left.

Can Inori even sing any other song aside from "Departures"?

She transforms into her monster form, a battle maiden with crystal swords coming out of her body. She attacks the enemy's base all alone, slicing off giant robots with absolute ease like they were butter. As she closes in on the enemy boss, Gai unleashes a giant bow and shoots an inescapable arrow that binds her whole body with crystal chains, allowing her to be easily captured.

Is that really you, Inori? Hotness increased by 150%.

Shu wakes up a few moments later only to see that Inori is no longer with him. It's time to man the fuck up, Shu! Get yourself together and try saving the princess for once! Crystal arm is imminent on the next episode.

Lobster Blog: Special Force Group

2012-02-27T05:48:00.002+08:00

I've been tagged twice with a Liebster Blog award. I'm flattered to know that some people out there actually appreciates my blog, but I really hate those cheap kind of awards. So instead of accepting the award and tag more people, I'm gonna reject it and make an even better award. Here's my Lobster Blog award.

What the hell is a Lobster Blog award? It's a freakin' badge that you wear with pride. It's a symbol that you are the best among the best. It is proof that you have what it takes be a part of my special army. But before I introduce my selected team, I should first introduce the two people who awarded me with a Liebster Blog. I know that I rejected that award but it's still the core idea that drove me into making this post.

Research and Development:

Dreadnaught

Code Name: Steel Tortoise
Specialty: Graphic Information Mastery
Blog: Some Things You May Find Interesting

He specializes in graphical information also known as "Infographic", a sort of graphical tutorial that makes any task easy to understand. He's qualified to join my army because even though he cannot fight in the front lines, his ability allows him to train my new army well and provide the team with the necessary information like "how to win in a fist fight" or "how to jump a fence".

Convictus

Code Name: Grey Box
Specialty: Highly-Advanced Alcoholic Equipment
Blog: Homelife

He specializes in the creation of beer with his custom-made brewing equipment, the Metal Beer Rex. This machine is not only capable of brewing beer but can also launch cases of beer into any known location on the face of the earth without being detected by any radar system. He's qualified to join my army because I'm usually too lazy to go out and buy drinks for myself, so it would be handy to have someone who makes them inside the headquarters.

Frontal-Assault Unit:

Now time to meet the core members of Lobster:

Bersercules

Code Name: Mad Ox
Specialty: Blind Rage
Blog: The Berserk Herc

He used to be a cool guy that makes cartoon drawings with rainbow unicorns and dolphins. But he changed ever since he got involve with the project "Les Televicion Terribles" also known as "The Terrible TV" where he was forced to watch terrible shows for years. Because of this, everytime he sees a terrible show on the TV he goes mad and destroys anything around him. This is one of the reasons why we don't have TV inside the headquarters. The other reason is because he already broke 14 of them.

Anne

Code Name: Silent Fox
Specialty: The Silent Treatment
Blog: Anne's Attic

She's an artistic lady who enjoys singing and plays all sorts of musical instruments. She does all those things when she's happy, but she does the exact opposite when she's pissed. So instead of hearing music, you'll hear absolute silence instead. You won't hear her footsteps, her breathing, her voice, nothing. If she does anything anywhere it doesn't make a sound, and if she does make a sound, it's probably the very last sound you'll ever hear.

Fang

Code Name: Stray Wolf
Specialty: Lair of the Beast King
Blog: Fang Talks

He's the youngest member of our team. We found him lying unconscious in the northern mountains surrounded by a pack of wolves. He doesn't seem to have any memory after he woke up and only remembers his name. For some reason all the wolves treat him like their leader, making him a valuable asset when hunting down targets. There are reports that a gigantic beast was found around Fang's pack when he went missing, but so far this is just one of the unconfirmed rumors inside the headquarters.

DWei

Code Name: Titanium Shark
Specialty: Indestructible Jaws
Blog: I Am Such A Derp

He's suppose to undergo cybernetic implants using the latest exoskeleton technology, giving him a full cybernetic body. But the budget for that project went elsewhere (clue: it makes beer and launches them) so he ended up just having a cyborg jaw. This Titanium Jaw packs the power of a jack hammer into every tooth, making it easy for him to chew a tank apart. The implant is powered by electrolytes, so he needs to drink some Powerade or his jaw would just suddenly stop working.

Bart

Code Name: Drunken Cobra
Specialty: Healing Factor
Blog: Bart's Blog

His power allows him to regenerate any kind of wound instantaneously when in contact with alcohol, so he usually uses this as an excuse to drink beer all night. He's also the leader of a sub-unit called the Para-Hooters, naked ladies that parachutes into the battlefield to act as decoy for the enemy. His sub-unit is very effective, that the only downside is that it affects us as well and makes us work hard in a different kind of way.

R&D Candidates:

Now here's the candidate researchers. They were supposed to be part of the Research and Development Department but got dismissed because of some fatal flaws that we encountered.

Adam

Code Name: Ocarina of Time
Specialty: Time Travel
Blog: Neko Random

He developed a time machine that allows him to go back in time. The reason why he's very knowledgeable about history is because he got back in time to experience them first hand. At first, I plan to send him back in time to prevent our enemies from being born, but we made a horrible miscalculation and he ended up preventing himself from developing his time machine. Now, he no longer have a time machine, so he got dismissed.

Mike

Code Name: Sub-Radar
Specialty: Artist Radar
Blog: Sub-Radar

He developed a radar so powerful that its maximum range could reach Jupiter. Not only that but it could detect airborne, land and underwater units, making it superior to any known radar or sonar technology in the planet. The only problem we encountered is that the radar can only detect musical artists. So unless the enemy have some hidden musical talent, they can walk through our radar undetected.

It took me a long while to finish this article because I had to make that awesome badge and give you all powers based on what you share on your blogs. So if you didn't like the powers I gave you, then don't blame me, blame yourself for not sharing enough interesting data about yourself. You can post this award on your blog if you want. You all deserved it anyway. You can also visit the blogs of my awesome team by clicking on their profile pictures above.

Also, kudos to anyone who can spot every MGS reference I made in this post.

Guilty Crown: Exodus (Ep.17)

2012-02-22T15:12:00.002+08:00

After a few days of preparation, Shu finally decides to attack the enemy's base of operation and free them all from this apocalyptic nightmare. But something has been happening behind his back, which may cause an uproar against his Void Kingdom. Will his comrades stay by his side or will he meet a tragic end?

Can you spot the difference? That's what QUALITY is all about.

The Red Line is closing in on them and they'll all be crushed soon unless they take the initiative and fight. The people are starting to get scared of the situation so Shu had a brilliant idea on how to ease their fear, by acting like a total dick and making them extremely mad at him. With all the hate concentrated at him, the students seem to have forgotten what fear is about and started acting like bulls staring at a guy wearing a red shirt. Yeah, the amount of butthurt and madness in this show is spectacular.

This is Arisa, remember her name. It is important.

Now, this girl is still scared because of what Inori tried to do to her. I barely remembered what happened there because I was too busy having a boner when I heard Inori's (or in this case, Mana's) psychopathic voice. Oh god! Psychopathic girls with split personalities are the best! Inori woke up before she could kill the wench though, talk about bad timing.

Wait what!? That traitorous whore!!!

With this whore still alive, she received a call from a mysterious (No really, it's pretty obvious who called) caller. One of Shu's Elite Four, the guy with the ugliest glasses in the world, caught her. But the whore tried to seduced the pervert with her body and had sex with him to make him stay quiet. I hope they both get Apocalypse AIDS.

I really hope this bitch gets the most painful death possible.

With one of the Elite Four by her side, she tried to plan a rebellion of all sorts and spread bad rumors about the King's reign. The rumors were actually true but that wasn't Shu's doing, it was Yahiro's fault. Yahiro, Shu's right-hand man, saw the rumors and confronted her about spreading lies. She tells him that Shu tried to assassinate her by sending Inori, then he was like "NO WAI!".

Is she really a monster, or an angel with bloodstained wings?

Inori confesses to Shu that it was her who tried to kill Arisa. The blond girl was doing something that could potentially harm Shu, so she snapped and lost control. All she wanted was to protect him but she caused harm instead because she's a monster. If this pure maiden is a monster, then everyone else is worst than the devil himself. Yahiro arrives to inform Shu about Inori's crime, but Shu doesn't care because he's loyal to his lovely waifu.

I bet she sold her body to get all those weapons.

While Shu is busy preparing his army for the biggest fight of their lives, Arisa is also busy preparing the same army for the biggest rebellion of their lives. At first, she appeared with her shield void to ensure that they will be protected, but when the battle started she suddenly disappeared. With her out of the picture, soldiers in the frontline died like dominoes. How do you expect students to fight off giant robots without any kind of protection?

The enemy's heavily guarded fortress. Tokyo Tower.

Shu takes the frontline, destroys a line of enemy units and headed directly to the tower. He uses Batman's grappling-hook-gun-thing to escape the hordes of humanoid tanks and climb the tower directly (Wow! That was easy). He then charges his weapon directly to the central structure of the tower, releasing a million volts of electricity like a motherfuckin' Pikachu on steroids. The tower got fried and collapses. Yay! Freedom at last!

Sephiroth!? Oh, wait... It's just Gai version 2.

The mission was a great success and the majority of the people have managed to escape the quarantined area. Shu finally declares that everything's over but his trusted allies and comrades took arms to screw him over. What a bunch of dicks!! He gave them freedom as promised, then then pay him back by backstabbing him!? I don't care what kind of plot device they come up with, just kill those traitorous bastards, now!!!

I hope that arm doesn't become a plot device for the sequel.

Gai's clone appears to take over as the new ruler of Shu's Void Kingdom. He then proceeded to meet Shu, slashed off his arm, then absorb the Void Genome and steal his powers. Those bastards at GHQ cloned his best friend just so they can screw him over twice!? So now, he have no friends, no allies, no kingdom, no powers, and worst of all, he can no longer fap with his right hand. Fuck!

Heaven's Feel route confirmed!

Meanwhile, in the other parts of the world. The UN had a meeting whether or not Japan should be erased out of existence. Of course, almost everyone agreed considering how the Apocalypse Virus outbreak is spreading in that place. How are they going to survive this?

Next Episode:

Phase 18: Dear...

Japan should be nuked. UN agreed. Don't bother them about it.

Windows ME: My Troubled Windows OS-tan

2012-02-20T17:58:00.001+08:00

I wish I could've married her. I should've married her. We were best friends from the age of fourteen. She was the first OS I ever have installed, although I was only installing her temporarily until the next OS came out! Never got around to do that, she had my heart from that moment on.

I was actually the second guy who used her because a close friend of mine installed her for me. A dumb attempt to take it easy I guess, or maybe fear of messing up the computer. She was way too good for me. She later told me that she only let him install her to make me jealous. It did the trick! I remember putting a password on my computer after I saw them together, and even though he asked for permission I kicked him out! Poor guy.

We watched anime together and marathoned Chobits, really cheesy stuff that made us both laugh. I can't bear to watch those shows now. We used to surf the internet for hours, just exploring the web, then deadlines for homework came and we tried to do it all night but she crashed before I could click "save" and lost all our work. I didn't blame her though, I'm just glad she stayed with me the whole night.

She wants to be an even better OS so she could help me when I go to a computer university. She's not the best at what she does, but she works really hard to compensate for it. Never quite knew what she saw in me. Even when I was a kid I knew she had been crashing on and off for years. Finally she was discontinued and was no longer supported by Microsoft. She fought like hell but newer programs keep crashing her system. I never would've been able to put up the fight she did.

When she died she was barely able to keep the mouse cursor working. She was 6 years and 4 months old. It was a month before my 21st birthday. She had said she wanted to be around to see me blow out my candles but she just couldn't hang on any longer. Just before she crashed for the last time, she apologized because she was going to miss my party. I wanted to cry like a baby but I didn't to do so in front of her. Didn't want to burden her. There was nothing else I could do for her.

I did go to a computer university. I became a programmer. And I insert a comment about her in every damn program I write. I know my life would have been different if she's still around. It's easier to do what you want when it's just you, never have to take anyone else's feelings into account. And I'd never have met the friends I have, who I treasure beyond words.

But I still love her and I think about her every day. It's been more than five years and I'm still not over her. Sometimes I think it's unfair to be using another OS knowing they won't measure up to my now impossibly low standards.

Sometimes I think I'd give the whole universe just to spend one more day with her. She was the best OS I ever knew.

I miss her.

Guilty Crown: The Tyrant (Ep.16)

2012-02-17T14:08:00.001+08:00

After Hare's death, Shu became a tyrant king and enforced his ideals to the student body. The ranking system is now in effect and everyone with the lowest rank is no longer treated as humans but mere slaves. Is this transformation a result of Shu's wrath or a mere cover up for his own weaknesses?

Every student wears this armband as a symbol of loyalty.

Shu became a ruthless ruler overnight and anyone who disobeys him will be dealt with lethal force. He implemented the ranking system to discriminate between the students and they are treated based on their genome resonance level, a unit of measurement on how capable an individual is at using voids.

The F-ranks are forced to work in harsh environments.

Students with the highest genome resonance are Rank S. They act as Shu's secret service and are treated highly by the others. Student with the lowest genome resonance are Rank F. They are treated like trash and are forced to do labor like retrieve vaccines from submerged supply ships underwater. They are only given vaccines before the crystallized cancer reaches Level 2.

A new character is introduced. Want to guess what happens to her in the end?

Rebels who stole some vaccines were destroyed to the ground with the only exception of the girl above, due to Argo's interference. Because of her high genome resonance level, she was allowed to join the ranks under Shu's command. This girl is introduced so suddenly, with great potential even. I smell something fishy going on in here!

This is Rank A girl. Remember her because it's important.

Argo meets Shu once again but he's pissed at what Shu has become. They visited the Rank F camp to check on their situation and make sure they are doing their job properly. One of the air pumps malfunctions while Souta was underwater but Shu didn't want to waste supplies to save a Rank F, so he just let him to drown. Argo disobeys and tried to save the guy with some extra pump, but Shu stopped him and sent him to prison.

Oh, hey! It's the guy with the darkness flashlight. Argo.

While Argo was in jail, the goddess of skin-tight outfit sent an insect robot to explain the situation and about Hare's death that changed Shu for the worst. Argo was secretly sent here to rescue the former-President of the Student Council, Arisa, but Shu refuses because her void is valuable as fuck. After that... blah blah blah I want to see Tsugumi's ass!!!

Knights of the hexagon table, assemble!!

Ayase tried to comfort Shu and correct him before the anger bunnies get to his brain, but he just shrugged her off like a ruthless bastard, so she slapped him on the face. He felt kinda relieved though, that nobody saw it. Because if someone did, then he'll have to punish her in front of the masses to set an example as well.

I kinda miss seeing this girl in her extra tight suit.

I'll stop talking about the plot and start talking about something else for the moment. The girl skinning the potatoes above has the best ass in the show and wears the tightest suit known to man. It's been 5 episodes since she last wore that suit and I'm starting to miss it. I know that she's in a maid outfit right now, but it's still not enough. I want my plug suits! NAO!!

Kanon is remembering the past before this mess even started.

Back on topic: Kanon reads some rumors about Hare's death and thinks that her death might have been cause by her void's destruction. That damned Yahiro denied that information despite knowing that it's true, this guy is definitely plotting something!!

Now you know what Hitler feels when he tried to save the world.

Shu only shows his true face in front of Inori and reveals that he's only posing as a ruthless tyrant to get everyone to cooperate and ensure everybody's survival. He's still pretty weak and kind inside, it pains him to watch the people suffer but it's the only choice he have to stop the chaos and bring order to the school.

But is that really Inori though? Because she sounds like the evil Mana to me!

Shu confesses to Inori that she's the only one he needs in this world. That even if the world hates him, as long as she's with him, he'll continue to fight. Right then, Inori starts talking differently and way out of character. Her speech pattern resembles Shu's older sister which kinda surprised him a little. Well, Inori is a clone of his older sister, so it can't be helped. Incest wagon coming through!

Disabled girl all tied-up!? This could become my new fetish.

Argo escapes from his cell to meet with Arisa and escape with her but he has been seen, which alerted the whole school. Ayase wanted to move out and help a former comrade but Tsugumi tied her all up to prevent her from being captured by the Fuhrer's army.

Fuhrer my ass! This wimp isn't worthy of worship!!

Shu along with the Rank A girl from earlier faces Argo, but he got his ass handed to him instead. Fuckin' Shu can't fight at all despite having an all powerful void. Argo just deflected his attack with his ordinary dagger and punched the Fuhrer to the ground like a vegetable. Yahiro arrives to cause some bullshit and then...

Then again... He might be worthy of worship afterall.

The deflected boomerang void grazed the roof and which caused some metal bars to fall at them. Shu tried to save the Rank A girl with him but her void got destroyed, so she crystallized and disappeared. Because of this, Shu now realizes what really killed Hare and what caused her to crystallize like that.

Oh, wow! Inori is starting to become Mana!!

In the mean time, Inori in Mana-mode is chasing Arisa to stop her from revealing the side effects of using the void, then blood suddenly came out of nowhere. I really wish they bring Mana back because that incestuous girl is the only worthy girl in this show right now.

Fuck! They cloned someone again!?

Fuckin' doctors and scientists using their cloning technology to troll people. Why not just clone the main character for maximum troll factor? The next episode has already aired last night so I'm a week late because I'm busy with another project and it's taking a lot more time than I expected. Hopefully I finish it soon so I can write about the next episode.

Next Episode:

Phase 17: Exodus

I wonder who this person is?

Guilty Crown: Sacrifice (Ep.15)

2012-02-09T18:36:00.003+08:00

After becoming the leader of the whole school, Shu is given an option whether or not to discriminate between the students and rank them based on their void's potential. He tries to avoid the subject but with the vaccine running low, does he really have a choice?

Oh god! This is the only part that made me happy.

Remember when I used to review this show every week? Well, I stopped doing that because the show is getting shittier and shittier as the quality of the story hits below zero. Well, guess what? Shit just got real, so you'll have to excuse me as I let loose my pent-up rage about this show.

This guy really means business!

The guy above is Yahiro. He's probably the only person in this show that thinks logically, now that Gai is gone. Since vaccines for the Apocalypse Virus are running low, he proposed a plan to the leader, Shu, that they need to discriminate between the students and give priority to the people with useful abilities. But this means that lower ranks will have no access to the vaccine, so Shu didn't approve of it because he's a Goody Two-Shoes.

This is Souta. Remember his name because it's important.

One of the students somehow got a hold of the list and found themselves to be at the lowest rank. So to prove to the rest of the world that they are not worthless, they've all decided to head to the danger zone. By the way, their voids are as follows: a can-opener, a water jug, a comb, and a spoon. Their powers are pretty useless I must say, so how are they supposed to fight giant robots with those?

Hare, the best girl shows up to cheer us all up.

Meanwhile, the leader is having a tough time deciding. He doesn't want to abandon the lower ranks but there's still not enough vaccine to save everybody inside the campus. His childhood friend and long-time admirer comes to cheer him up and tell him that his kindness is what she liked about him the most. Their intimate time together was disrupted by a call from Kanon saying that the F-Ranks have moved out to the danger zone.

Damn! I'd let her cheer me up if you know what I mean.

Shu arrives at the scene with Hare to stop the F-Ranks from killing themselves but they refused and acted like tough guys who can do anything. The enemy spotted them and started firing. Wanna guess what the F-Ranks do? Run, shout and panic. Yep, this is why they are F-Ranks. They are just trash trying to act like gods but in the end they're just trash anyway. Shu orders them to hide while he takes their attention and act as decoy.

See that Endlave? It's ready to move out anytime.

Souta, the acting-leader of the F-Ranks decided to ignore the orders to hide and dragged Hare out to the open road to fix a broken car, so they can escape. Hare's powers are magical bandages that can fix any injury, be it a mortal wound or mechanical damage. I guess it never triggered in his F-Ranked brain that the enemy is watching the road. The enemy fires and the car explodes. Shu comes to Hare's rescue and they were both caught in the explosion.

See the pilot? He's just waiting for you to make a move.

The lady on the first picture below is a cripple. It means that both her legs doesn't work and she needs a wheelchair to move around. She can't run, she can't stand, she can't walk. Heck, she can't even climb the stairs with those wheels because it just doesn't work that way. So what did she do when the enemy attacks? She picked up a rocket launcher that she carried along with her and took down a goddamn chopper.

The difference between Badass and Candy-ass.

Meanwhile, this pathetic F-Rank loser who's trying to act tough is now trembling in a corner, covering his ears from the explosion, and wetting his pants. I thought he came here to prove himself? Why isn't he doing anything but cower in fear? Way to prove yourself, Souta!

See the the huge smoke up there? That's where she fell from.

Hare gains consciousness a bit later, only to see Shu's dying corpse in front of her. He shielded her from the blast and took the full force of the explosion. Despite heavily bleeding herself, she decided to fix him first because he's the most important person to her and she's unsure how long her powers will last.

The death of our brave leader.

While she's fixing Shu's injuries, an enemy chopper spotted her and gunned her down. At first she was worried about Shu's condition but after seeing that she managed to heal all his wounds, she was relieved. Since her body have become weak, she got inflected by the Apocalypse Virus and crystals started growing out of her skin. She then tries to crawl her way to Shu's place, wanting to touch her beloved's hand just one last time but died just before reaching him.

Whoa! That's just over the line there!!!

WHAT THE FLYING FUCK!!? She was blown away by the explosion, fell from a height of three storeys, gunned down by choppers, and then infected by the Apocalypse Virus. Just what the hell did she do to deserve this kind of tragedy? They didn't even grant her last wish of reaching Shu's hand because she died just an inch away from him! If that F-Rank Souta doesn't get punished for this sin then I'm gonna rage like a thousand suns.

Only the dead can know peace from this evil.

Shu wakes up to see Hare's mutilated corpse just beside him and went completely insane from the experience. A few moments later, he shows up in front of Inori and forced her void to appear. He went completely berserk and annihilated the enemy troops without any ounce of mercy.

Just look at that empty look on his face.

After the battle, he meets with the others who were hiding. Souta appears and apologizes for causing such trouble but Shu went batshit insane on him and punches him to the ground. He then announces to the rest that what he believed in was a mistake, that kindness is pointless. He swore to separate the good from the trash and become the King himself.

Heil, mein Fuhrer! All hail King Shu!!!

It's good to see that Shu is no longer a wuss and have become a ruthless Fuhrer. But why Hare? It's like Shirley from Code Geass all over again!! I just hope that Ayase doesn't get the same fate as her. The next episode airs tomorrow. I can't wait for the upcoming shitstorm.

Phase 16: The Tyrant

Good night, sweet princess. We're gonna miss you.

Fang's Eleven Impossible Task

2012-02-07T05:40:00.001+08:00

A friend of mine and one of my brave followers, Fang, forced upon me this impossible task which I originally didn't intend to answer but kinda felt obliged to do anyway, since avoiding it would be like admitting defeat. So here's eleven things you need to know about me.

The Rules:

Screw the rules! I have money!!!

Eleven Things About Me:

I hate vegetables.
I just can't stand eating them. So when there's only vegetable at the dining table, I usually skip dinner. I don't really hate all vegetables, there are some exceptions but I still hate most of them.
I eat beansprouts.
This is one of the few exceptions from the rule above. I don't really like beansprouts until after I watched the 7th episode of THE iDOLM@STER when Yayoi cooks some beansprouts for her family.
I love Yayoi Takatsuki.
Oh god! She's so adorable, cheerful and energetic. I even made another Facebook account for her so just I could announce to my friends that I'm on a relationship with her. She's mai waifu.
I usually play as a female character.
I'm sick and tired of all those videogames that forces me to play as a guy, so I always play as a girl when I get the chance. I usually name my character "Celsius" based on my favorite character from the Tales of Eternia.
I watch anime but I don't buy them
Despite loving anime so much, most of the shows I watch are downloaded from the internet. It's not like I don't want to buy them but more like I can't, since there's no local stores that carry them. If only there's an anime shop like the video below, then my room would probably be full of DVDs. One of the anime series that I have legally bought is the complete set of To Heart 1st season, since it was one of the anime titles that got licensed in my country.
I love to read manga
I don't buy anime, but I do buy manga because my local comics store carry them. The series I'm following right now are "Fate/Stay Night" and "Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project". I know that both series have been milked to death already but I still follow them for some reason.
I collect anime figures
I mostly only buy Figma action figures but I have some cast-off (read: removable clothes) figures and some decent statues as well, but they're mostly from the Fate or Touhou series.
I still play children's card games
This is something I really enjoy playing, Yu-Gi-Oh! I don't play them as much as back when I'm still studying but I still love to play them from time to time. I usually only play this nowadays through video games for the PSP like "Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force 5" since my deck is outdated and would most likely lose. In case you want to know, I have a Zombie Deck and a Spellcaster Deck in real life.
I prefer to play with my keyboard
When playing versus games on the PC, most people would prefer using an arcade stick or a gamepad, but I'm mostly comfortable with just my keyboard. I just can't do aerial combos like the one on the video below with a controller, I always mess up. But it's a piece of cake to do with a keyboard though.
I name my internal and external drives.
Kinda like Fang, I name the digital storage devices I have. But I'm a bit more hardcore than him on that regard since I've been doing it since the PSX age. I named each of my memorycards back then and put on stickers of anime characters so I can differentiate them. That little hobby kinda sticked around and I've been doing it ever since.
I love looking at pictures so I post them a lot
I really love reading but reading tons of texts without any pictures tend to bore me a lot. I dropped a lot of good books because of this (I'm looking at you, Fate/Zero!). This is why I tend to post a lot of images everytime I post, so other people who thinks like me will somehow enjoy what I write.

Eleven Question by Fang:

How was your day? Anything exciting happened?
Nothing happened and it started as another boring day. While I was looking for pictures to insert in this post, I ended up browsing the web for hours instead. While searching for videos to embed in this post, I ended up watching YouTube videos for hours instead. While searching for screenshots to insert in this post, I ended up watching different anime shows instead. Now it's been more that 18 hours since I started writing this post, what the hell happened to my time?!
Ever done anything that falls waaay outside of the social norms of your gender/age group? ie watched My Little Pony and enjoyed it or something?
I collect statues of women, play children's card games and I have a waifu. No matter how I look at it, I'm waaaay outside the norms.
If you were to classify yourself into a certain social group/style (ie gothic, emo, stoner, etc) which one would you place yourself in?
I prefer to be called a NEET but I guess everyone will just call me a basement-dweller. I don't really live in the basement as my room is at the 2nd floor, but I believe that I could be classified as such. I still hate that term though.
Favourite Sesame Street character?
I actually hate Sesame Street. The only time I watched it was when Jack Black came in to make it awesome and introduced the glorious shape, octagon. So my answer to this question is definitely Jack Black. He's awesome by the way.
Seek out a popular YouTube video, check the comments. What are your thoughts on those people?
I usually read a lot of bad, stupid and retarded comments on YouTube, but the comments from that octagon video are kinda decent. Some of them are even funny. The full moon must be out tonight since this kind of thing doesn't happen that often.
Do you have any neurotic/OCD tendencies?
When I notice a moving object on my field of vision while watching something, I can't help but notice it so I end up removing the said distraction so I could watch the show at peace. It could be anything like an insect, a piece of paper being blown by the wind or dirt at the edge of my screen. It just irritates me a lot.
What's the meaning of life?
Life is simply the absence of death. This is the reason why you have to do everything you want to do before death arrives. Because when death comes to get you, there's no escaping it. Kinda like Final Destination or something.
Do you collect something?
Yes, a lot actually and I've mentioned most of them above. What I haven't mentioned yet though is that I also collect pictures of anime characters that are shooped to being brown. Little brown girls are the best!
Ultimate fantasy?
I'm inside a room full of 2D girls, then all of a sudden exposed armpits. ARMPITS EVERYWHERE!!! I turned my back and I see dolls. DOLL-JOINTS EVERYWHERE!!!
Weirdest dream?
I was inside the bathroom taking a bath, while a giant cieling fan inside the bathroom suddenly turns on. I never thought about turning it off. Instead, I continue taking a shower and feel the cold air blowing directly at me. Then I woke up and I was like "Whoa!"
Have you enjoyed this "11 Questions" thing?
Definitely maybe. I enjoyed the first part where I brag about myself but answering your question was a lot harder than I expected and forced me to actually use my brain. Now that I've completed this task and reread the complete post before publishing, I noticed that perhaps I've shared a bit too much about myself. Oh well, I'm dead anyway.

Now that the task is over, I'm gonna skip tagging people since I don't have enough people to tag in the first place. I also need to break the ritual cycle and stop this kind of madness right now. I can't believe it took me a whole day to finish this post. I'm feeling sleepy now, good night everyone.

Rozen Maiden: Suigintou ~Mercury Lampe~

2012-02-04T01:27:00.005+08:00

A few years ago, I saw an image of a Nintendo DS with an image of Suigintou beautifully etched on its surface. Since she's my most favorite Rozen Maiden doll, I fell in-love with the artwork almost immediately. I tried to look for the original artist but ended up with nothing, so I vector traced it instead.

This is the original picture of the Nintendo DS with the etching.

Here's my first attempt with pure colors.

Here's my second attempt with patterns.

I have to say that she looks good in money.

This is what she originally looks like from the anime version.

Click on the button below to download an archive in zip file format with all the vectored images above. They will be in their full resolution (3000 x 2000) with transparent background. The thousand internets bill is also included in the archive in full resolution (5051 x 2101).

Fate/Prototype: Command Spell Gallery

2012-01-31T18:35:00.002+08:00

When I saw Fate/Prototype for the first time, the thing I noticed the most was the redesigned Command Spells. They just look so damn gorgeous that I ended up tracing each symbol in Photoshop. Here's a small gallery of them arranged based on their rankings.

You can manually click each of the files above to view the image in its full resolution (5000 x 5000 pixels). Alternatively, you can click the button below to download an archive in zip file format with all the Command Spells above.

Fate/Prototype: Another Holy Grail War

2012-01-30T05:01:00.002+08:00

Legendary heroes of the past are summoned to the modern world and once again given flesh to participate in an epic war to get the Holy Grail. An omnipotent artifact capable of granting any wishes whether it be for a pure or corrupted cause.

Fate/Prototype is based on an unfinished novel that Kinoko Nasu wrote during highschool. It was the basis for the visual novel Fate/Stay Night before they changed the script to reflect on their target audience. While most of the characters are changed in some way, some Servants didn't. They are Berserker, Caster and Assassin. This is probably why they weren't shown in the preview.

The Characters

The Saber-class Servant excels in close-ranged combat and is considered the strongest Servant in every war. This hero is known as the legendary king of Britain and wields the strongest holy sword of all, the Excalibur. This sword was so powerful that each Knight of the Round Table placed a seal on it to prevent the sword from being abused.

The 7th Master participating in the war and also Saber's Master. She lost her father and older sister 8 years ago to the previous Holy Grail War. Because of that she wishes to escape her fate and doesn't want to participate in the coming war, but because she have accidentally summoned Saber during the chaos with Lancer, she must now finish what she started. Her command spells are located on her chest.

She practices black magic instead of the more modern form of sorcery which is magecraft. She also have a major inferiority complex because of her older sister who was a great genius when it comes to magecraft.

The Archer-class Servant excels in long-ranged combat and is capable of firing projectiles to attack the enemy. This legendary hero is known as the oldest king ever recorded and the only known hero to have acquired all the treasures in the world. He wields the the golden bow, Enki, which is capable of summoning a great flood that could submerge a whole city in an instant.

The 3rd Master participating in the war and also Archer's Master. Nothing much is known about this person, not even his name. His command spells are obviously located on his face.

The Lancer-class Servant excels in speed and the use of spears which allows him to combat foes in mid-range. This legendary hero is known as the child of light and wields the cursed spear, Gae Bolg. His Master sealed the cursed spear and prevented him from using it, so he uses a wooden spear instead which later broke after an attack from Saber's invisible sword.

The 2nd Master participating in the war and Lancer's Master. She wants to summon a hero who died because of a woman, that way he'll know how scary women really are. Her command spells are located on the back of her neck.

The Rider-class Servant excels in mounted combat. They can ride any vehicle or large animals and is also capable of summoning their own form of transportation. This legendary hero is known for killing the snake monster Medusa. He wields five different artifacts and rides the winged-horse Pegasus. Since his Master died before the war ended, he swore to win the war and get the Holy Grail to revive his master and give him the life he rightfully deserves.

The 5th Master participating in the war and Rider's Master. He didn't last long in the war because of his health condition but used up all his command spells just before dying to give Rider a second chance at life. His command spells are located on his left palm.

The unnumbered Master participating in the war and Berserker's Master. He is a two-faced priest, one moment he's calm and understanding and then all of a sudden he goes batshit insane and starts shouting all over the place! This guy is crazy, I tell you! His command spells are located on his tongue.

She is Ayaka's older sister who supposedly died in the war 8 years ago. She is once again given life by the Holy Grail to participate in the war all over again. She used to be Saber's Master during the previous war but he betrayed her after he discovered that this girl is actually a psychopath who killed her own father and tried to kill her younger sister. Now that she's back, she wishes to once again be reunited with her prince charming, Saber. Her Servant is the embodiment of humanity's sin, the Beast. Her command spells are also located at her chest.

I must say that the character designs are a lot better than FSN, especially since Cuu Chulain is no longer wearing blue tights and looks more like a hunter now. Saber is now actually a male too, which is more accurate to King Arthur's historical record. Oh well, just watch the short clip below to understand what I'm blabbering about:

This video was uploaded by someone else and will probably be taken down after a while because of copyright issues. So I highly suggest that you watch it now before it goes down.

Tsuki no Sango: Coral of the Moon

2012-01-28T00:36:00.041+08:00

This short novel is about a young princess whose ancestors supposedly came from the moon. She meets a small tin man who asked her if she could share a story. She tells him about a story she heard from her grandmother when she was little. A story about the coral of the moon.

The Characters

The girl whose ancestor was from the moon. She lives on an island rich in corals that other nations would want to own. She's the one retelling the story of her grandmother by writing everything she heard into a book. She's doing it for a tiny stranger she met one fateful night.

A tiny man covered in tin-like material. Small enough to fit on a palm and yet his ship seems to contain a whole new pocket dimension. He came to the island to deliver something and met with the island's princess. He then asks her if she knew of any story that was never heard of before.

A rock in the form of a woman found on the moon. She's the core of the moon's ecosystem and is capable of changing the rules of the satellite. Abandoned by the people who created her, she yearns for the company of others. That is when he met this man from Earth.

A man from Earth who came to the moon in search of an answer he can find nowhere. He meets a rock shaped like a woman and becomes the reason for her transformation which may result to her death.

Coral of the Moon is written by Kinoko Nasu, mostly known for the story of Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime and Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners. It was written for Maaya Sakamato's Full Moon Recital. An event where she reads short novels inside a theater while a short animation complete with music plays on the background. You can watch the promotional video below:

The novel has been translated into english by Mazui since the start of January so I have to say that I'm a bit late, but it's a good read for something so short. I recommend it. You can download the novel in PDF format by clicking on the image below:

Crysis 2: Nano Catalyst Exploit

2012-01-26T01:04:00.003+08:00

In Crysis 2, you need to collect Nano Catalyst from the alien creatures to upgrade your suit with different modules. These modules allows you to do different things like increase the duration of Stealth or deflect bullets when using Armor. Here's how to collect 5,000 Nano Catalyst in under 4 minutes.

You should have at least reached the 8th chapter of the game, Seat of Power, before you'll be able to do this trick. After watching Prophet's flashback and Hargreave's introduction, head straight to the 1st checkpoint.

After reaching the 1st checkpoint, just pass through the evacuation site and proceed to the building pictured above. Once inside, you should be able to detect a Ceph Guardian near the stairs with your visor. The Ceph will move to the highest floor as you go up the stairs.

Avoid stepping on the marked area above, as stepping on it will make the Ceph Guardian run away. Preventing you from getting that 5,000 Nano Catalyst upstairs.

As you reach the highest floor, avoid stepping on another marked area pictured above. Stepping on it will cause the Ceph Guardian to vanish into thin air without leaving a trace. It'll just literally disappear. Use your visor and mark the invisible enemy so you could somehow see it.

Since you are not allowed to move to the Ceph Guardian's location, just toss a grenade beside it to lure it out from hiding. It should run towards you while the grenade explodes in the background.

Wait for it to run outside the marked area and then fire to prevent it from running away. The Ceph Guardian is programmed to escape but it only has a limited time to do the action, so if you consume the time by attacking, then it'll stop moving afterwards since it's not programmed to attack.

After the enemy stops moving, activate stealth and then go behind it to do a stealth kill. Get the 5,000 Nano Catalyst and then run to the next checkpoint.

Once you reach the 2nd checkpoint, your game will auto-save. This will allow you to keep your current Nano Catalyst even if you load a previous save. Check your total Nano Catalyst by opening the Nano Suit menu to compare them later. Now quit the game and return to the main menu..

Select Campaign and then Load. Select your previous save data, the one before you killed the Ceph Guardian. Now you're back but your Nano Catalyst should have carried over. Just keep killing the Ceph Guardian until you are able to buy all the upgrade modules.

The Ceph Guardians are the final boss of this game. Not only are they invisible but they are tough as well. I guess the developers added one in this stage to show the player that the Ceph can use stealth. They probably didn't intend for you to beat one this early in the game, especially one that doesn't fight back.

Resident Evil 6: Official Trailer Revealed!

2012-01-23T18:26:00.000+08:00

The latest installment to Capcom's survival horror action game has finally been revealed through this trailer. Leon and Chris will be back and the game seems to be divided into three different scenarios that took place in three different places.

Leon S. Kennedy

The American President plans to reveal information about the BOW to the world and trigger the other nations to take action and destroy the source of the virus once and for all. This made him a primary target to yet another organization that branched of from Umbrella and an attack was made. Now the whole city is infected by zombies once again, like the Raccoon City incident 10 years ago.

Helena Harper

Leon's scenario seems to be the classic survival horror genre of the game. The enemies doesn't seem to be parasite-infected people, and bares more similarities to the classic zombie types from Raccoon City. His scenario also seems to have occurred during the night making visibility low and giving it the right atmosphere for a horror game.

Ingrid Hunnigan

Hunnigan is back as Leon's operator, but his coop partner will be a new character by the name of Helena Harper. She is another secret service agent like Leon that works under the President. She blames herself for the event for some reason, so there might be more to her than meets the eye.

Chris Redfield

Chris Redfield's scenario is more like an action game than survival horror, similar to Resident Evil 5's gameplay. This story begins when a virus outbreak occurred in China and the BSAA was dispatch to clean up the mess. Enemies in this scenarios bares resemblance to the Majinis and the Ganados. Parasite-infected humans capable of using weapons to fight back.

Unknown BSAA Agent

Chris came to the scene prepared with the whole BSAA Alpha Team to suppress the outbreak, but his team got wiped out and only two of them remains. His coop partner is another BSAA agent whose name is yet to be announced. I feel kinda disappointed that he is not with his real partner, Jill Valentine, or his previous partner, Sheva Alomar. I mean, Leon and the new guy below got a lady partner. Why not Chris?

Unknown Superhuman

The third scenario involves a new character. Nothing much is known about this guy aside from what the trailer shows but fans speculates him to be Alex Wesker. From what we saw from the trailer, he fights with his superhuman strength and agility. He also seems to be in need to be injected with something regularly, so we can only assume that he needs it to regulate his powers like Albert Wesker does. His blood seems to be the key to stop the virus and he is selling it to the highest bidder.

Unknown Blonde Girl

His coop partner is an unnamed blondie. Since we don't know much about this girl, fans seems to speculate that she's Ashley Graham, the President's daughter and the girl Leon rescued during the events of Resident Evil 4.

The game is set to be release this coming November for the Play Station 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. A PC version has been announced to be released afterwards but no exact date has been confirmed. That's all for now. I can't wait to play this game.

THE iDOLM@STER: Happy Birthday Shijou Takane!

2012-01-21T17:44:00.002+08:00

You know what day it is? It's January 21st, the birth date of our silver-haired alien princess that loves ramen from THE iDOLM@STER. I don't have any cake to celebrate the event so here's a music video of her instead. English subtitles courtesy of Domelola.
