Inside, it looks like a spaceship. There is a digital instrument cluster in the middle of the dash, which displays the speed in exact figures (rather than gauging a needle on a dial). Some drivers don't like this, but for what's it's worth, we're fans. It is produced in both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive, although in many markets such as the United Kingdom and Australia, only all-wheel drive is offered.
Introduced in Japan in 1996, the CR-V was Honda's first in-house designed SUV and was originally intended to be a niche vehicle only. Honda was hesitant to market the vehicle, since many felt the car did not have potential to sell alongside the Honda Passport and to take over the role of Honda's entry-level SUV.
In the United States, the Honda CR-V became the number-one selling SUV in the US for 2007, a title previously held for fifteen years (1991–2006) by the Ford Explorer. To meet the high demand, Honda shifted some Civic production from East Liberty, Ohio to Alliston Plant #2, Ontario (where some Pilot, Ridgeline, and Odyssey production was located until production was consolidated at Honda's Lincoln, Alabama facility) to free up space for additional CR-V production. Currently, the East Liberty plant is building 400+ CR-Vs a day for the Canadian and US markets. US market CR-V models are imported primarily from Sayama, Saitama, Japan and El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico in increasing numbers.

Smart Car, is it really smart?

Smart Car, originally uploaded by erglantz.

The biggest concern of Americans with Smart Cars is safety. We tend to drive fast and freely. And since these cars are very small, how could they fair in a crash rating system? Are there adequate safety devices in the car like seat belts and airbags?
Smart Cars can be regarded as smart because they are relatively nifty and thrifty. You don't have to worry about high gasoline costs because this car doesn't consume twice as much as your gas guzzler. It isn't much of a headache as far as maintenance is concerned. This car is very basic in form, shape, and essence.

VW Golf RGTi photoshoot

Dancing Cars, originally uploaded by Photography Moments.

This two of sport version VW Golf dancing in the street. Sure this is what I call hotrod! Not to mention the smile on its owners face.

The Z06 is a superb track car, and the ZR1 is really pushing the Corvette envelope hard to the limit. But unlike the Z06, which is all about track performance, the ZR1 retains more civility thanks to Magnetic Ride control that gives varying degrees of damping—allowing the car to switch from comfort to sport with the push of a button.

To keep all that power in check for easy drive and handling, are some massive brake rotors sourced from Brembo. In fact, they are nearly the same rotors used on a Bugatti Veyron and barely fit inside the 19-in. front wheels. The rear brake rotors fit comfortably in the 20-in. wheels and are the same as those used on the front of a Ferrari Enzo.

The ZR1 is a 600 plus horsepower super Corvette, with production is limited to just 2000 units a year. A limited edition for the collector! It will likely cost in the neighborhood of price $100,000. The car’s platform is the already stellar Z06 Corvette that features an aluminum chassis and 505 horsepower from a 7.0-liter small-block V-8. The ZR1 takes the next step and uses forced induction by means of a new Eaton 4-lobe supercharger mounted on a revised 6.2-liter V-8. Horsepower isn’t known yet, but claimed to be well above 600.

10 Tips for long distance driving

Long distance driving should be a fun experience. The quality of the drive should be better than the quantity of arriving at your destination quickly, but exhausted. The safety is the first priority than the speed. These are the 10 valuable tips on your next trip for a long distance drive with car, so you can arrive safely to the next destination.

Check your car dashboard indicators, especially for the fuel level and the temperature. Make sure every indicator and switches work normal.

Open the engine hood and check every part of equipment inside the engine cabin, especially for the radiator lubricant, brake fluid, battery and the engine lubricant level. Make sure all of them in the high or normal level.

Check up all of the tires pressure, also the tire’s thickness (don’t forget to check the extra tire that you will bring with also). Replace the broken tires immediately. Sometimes it is better to lower the tire pressure a little, because hard tires are not comfort for a long distance drive.

Remove all of the unimportant things from your car cabin. It can reduce your car weight, and can reduce the fuel consumption of the car.

Do not use cruise control. Long distance driving can have a hypnotic and fatiguing effect. Cruise control emphasizes and enhances that effect.

Don't eat heavy food during the trip. You are going to be sitting and stationary for several hours at a time. Fast food in your stomach will give you a bloated and heavy feeling. coffee or hot chocolate is always a safe bet for long distance driving.

If you get tired, stop and get rest in a safe place. Fatigue can overtake you quickly, especially if you only watch the road in front of you instead of taking in the scenery while you drive.

Listen to fast, upbeat Music. First , paint fumes is toxic, and flammable. So, ensure the place where you are painting should not be attached to your house. In order to paint your own motorcycle you will need to have at least two paint guns.
You will also need an air compressor, air hose and a regulator with a water trap. The first paint gun is for the primer and the second is for the base coat and clear coats. Check up the motorcycle's fuel and oil tanks before you begin painting. Make sure they are pressure tested and free of leaks. Start by sandblasting the metal parts on your motorcycle to remove the old paint. If you don't have sandblaster, use sandpaper to sand them.
Wipe down the parts with a non oil-based degreaser before begin painting. Apply filler to the low spots. Mix it in small batches. It hardens quickly. Make sure to apply it as smoothly as possible. Sand it with 80 grit sandpaper after dries, then check for any nicks or low spots. Fill and repeat the sanding process.
Apply two coats of epoxy primer. After it dries, use a spray bomb of black paint and spray it over the surface very lightly. This will make any defects in your fill work show. Use a light finishing putty to repair these trouble spots. Apply it in even coats, then use a foam sanding block wrapped in 80 grit sandpaper to smooth it, followed by 120 grit then 400 grit.
Now apply the last coat of primer. Once it is dry, use 400 grit sandpaper to roughen to surface a little so that the base coat will stick better. Apply a coat of epoxy sealer before applying the base coat. This will provide a better surface and help prevent bubbles. Make sure to read all of the instructions for the paint and allow the correct about of time between coats.

Sporty in a sexy lavish setting: Mitsubishi Car Concept-RA

Mitsubishi has just released the new version of new sport car concept, RA. In its colour, design, features and philosophy, the Boxster RS 60 Spyder brings back Porsche's motorsport era of the ‘60s: After countless class wins, the Porsche Type 718 RS 60 Spyder was able to take on and beat its competitors also in the larger engine categories, scoring its first overall victory in 1960 in one of the most prestigious long-distance races for the Manufacturers' World Championship in the important US market, Hans Herrmann/Olivier Gendebien winning the 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida.
Paintwork in GT silver metallic is further accentuated by its contrast to the natural leather interior in Carrera red and the roof also finished in red. As an alternative there is also the choice of dark grey natural leather in conjunction with a black roof.he design of the instrument clusters finished at the front in GT silver metallic is equally sporting and dynamic. With the binnacle otherwise positioned above the instrument cluster being dropped on this special model, the large central rev counter and the two circular dials at the outside add a unique and purist touch, presenting the exceptional flair of a racing car also in the cockpit.
Reflecting its model designation, the new Boxster RS 60 Spyder is limited to a Special Edition of 1,960 units proudly bearing a silver-coloured placard on the lid of the glove compartment.Market launch of the new Porsche Boxster RS 60 Spyder is starting worldwide in March 2008. Typically, this would be one of the first pieces that would need to be upgraded, but not with the Race Spec. Chassis. The GT2 RS chassis has an all new and well thought out layout. With a blue anodized 6061 aluminum chassis on bottom and a composite upper deck, all the component locations have been optimized. The new, narrow layout helps move all the weight to the chassis centerline and maximize handling. news from rc-car.com

The New Knight Rider KITT car version

Three versions of the car will be used in the show, all modeled around a 400 kW Mustang – complete with ‘reverse Eleanor’ grey stripes on black bodywork colour scheme. The National Broadcasting Company (NBC of America) has unveiled the new car for Michael Knight in the Knight Rider television show – a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR will star as the new Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT). The main attraction of the original KITT was the enduring character of his Artificial Intelligence, who’s primary programming was detailed to preserve human life at all costs, especially that of Michael Knight (played by David Hasselhoff).
