"Being Easily Offended" is a Powerful Weapon in a Multicultural Society

ORTHODOX MUSLIMS are waging jihad by being easily offended. The reason it works is because non-Muslims in the free world just want "everyone to get along." But a certain percentage of devout, orthodox Muslims don't care about getting along. They only want to advance the goal of Islam, which is the global establishment of Sharia.

This leaves us in a situation similar to an indulgent parent dealing with a spoiled brat who throws a tantrum if they don't get exactly what they want. The problem is not so much with the child as with the weak, blind parent who doesn't see what's going on and only sees the best in the child. The spoiled brat can and will take full advantage of the parent's blindness and goodwill.

I came across a blog the other day called Things Offensive to Islam. That's all the blog covers. The list of things Muslims have expressed offense about is virtually endless. In the subtitle of the blog, it says, "Brazilian dancers, St. Valentine's Day, Jews, Christians, homosexuals, Baha'is, Ahmadiyahs, Sufis, Hindus, Sikhs, Ex-Muslims, crosses, Star of Davids, Bibles, Torahs, the Veda, Buddha statues, Hindu statues, teddy bears named Mohammed, churches, church bells, temples, synagogues, white socks, uncovered women, women, music, non-halal meat, prawns, things containing pork fat, pork enzymes, pork scratchings, piggy banks and things containing alcohol, ie. perfume, face cream, disinfectant, etc."

In a similar vein, The Amboy Times has a huge linked list of things that offend Muslims and the preamble makes a great point:

The intent of the list is to illustrate the futility of the multicultural approach to Islam. Sharia law demands submission not only from Muslims, but from non-Muslims as well. This makes respectful coexistence nearly impossible with Muslims in Infidel lands. The examples below serve as reminder that submitting to one complaint or another only emboldens Muslims to seek to further their ultimate goal of establishing sharia.

The West needs to come to grips with this fact and start standing up for our God-given rights of free speech, free expression and freedom of religion, lest we surrender those rights to a theocratic movement bent on removing our Constitutional freedoms that we hold dear. In this case, our tolerance will lead to intolerance.

All three lists illustrate the same point: The usual methods we use to interact fairly with others will not work with someone who is not trying to "live and let live." People in pluralistic, multicultural societies do not like to offend others. That's how we got to be pluralistic, multicultural societies in the first place. It is a strong shared value.

But at least one ideology does not share that value. What should we do when dealing with the believers in such an ideology? We should use the basic principle of "tit for tat." In other words, always begin with tolerance and cooperation, and then be exactly as tolerant and cooperative as they are from that point on.

Orthodox Muslims Warned Against Becoming Heterodox

10:61 Whatever business you are in, or whatever you read from the Koran, or whatever you do, We will be witnesses over you. Not the weight of an atom on earth or in heaven is concealed from the Lord. But the least and the greatest of these things are recorded clearly in the book [the book of life’s deeds].

10:62 The friends of Allah will have no fear, nor shall they be put to grief. Those who believe and fear Allah will receive good tidings in this life, and in the next. There is no changing the words of Allah. This is the great triumph. And do not let their [the Meccans] speech grieve you for all power belongs to Allah. He is the hearer and the knower.

10:66 Surely, whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. What do they follow who worship others beside Allah? They follow only guesses, and they are but liars. He has appointed the night so you can rest, and the day to make things visible. These are signs for those who hear.

45:14 Tell the believers to forgive those who do not hope for the days of Allah. It is up to Him to reward men according to their actions. Whoever does good, does so for their own soul, and whoever does wrong, does so against themselves. In the end, you will be brought back to your Lord.

How Non-Muslims Have Been Disarmed

IF EVERYONE in the free world had read the Quran already, almost all of us would be united against orthodox Islam, as the Parable for Our Time attests (once the passengers on board Flight 93 had a clue about the true intentions of the hijackers, they immediately acted to defend themselves and their fellow Americans).

Orthodox Muslims do not want us to unite against them. They don't want to arouse our defenses. So they routinely employ methods to disarm us. These are the methods they use:

1. They present Islam as a multiculturalist paradise. For example, they depict Muslims, Jews, and Christians all getting along in Andalus (Muslim-occupied Spain). They have insinuated this point of view into PBS television programs, history textbooks in American schools, and elsewhere.

In their depiction, they make sure they give special attention to two prominent Jews who were in positions of authority during that time (in Sharia law, non-Muslims cannot be in a position of authority over Muslims).

The historians neglect to point out that the following year, those two Jews were assassinated by Muslims for having the effrontery to be in positions of authority, or that Sharia law was immediately reasserted, followed by a brutal pogrom that left 5000 Jews dead.

The result of the successful infiltration of public television and textbook editing is that when non-Muslims are told about the efforts of orthodox Muslims to Islamize the world, many of them think, "what's the big deal? Life under Islam would be a multiculturalist paradise." They have been disarmed just as effectively as the frightened passengers of the planes that plowed into the Twin Towers when they were told they were merely being held for ransom.

2. They try to make Westerners feel guilty, and they exploit already-existing guilt. Orthodox Muslims say things like: Your troops in Arabia defile our sacred land, the Western world attacked us unprovoked during the Crusades, you support Israel so you're responsible for the deaths of innocent Palistinian children, your "people" have been historically cruel to other minorities — slaves and Native Americans, for example.

They use whatever they can because people who feel guilty are less willing to defend themselves and more likely to try to appease (to make ammends for perceived sins).

3. They cry racism, bigotry, hate-speech, Islamophobia, even if it doesn't make any sense. For example, if an Islamic supremacist makes this public statement: "We must kill the Jews and drive them into the sea," it doesn't seem to bother any outspoken Muslims. But if a non-Muslim quotes a Muslim saying that, the non-Muslim is accused of racism, bigotry, hate-speech, or Islamophobia.

It doesn't make any sense, but it works. An accusation of racism is taken very seriously in the media and by the public in general.

Orthodox Muslims know very well if we can't talk to each other about a threat, we can't very well defend ourselves against it. So these accusations are effective ways to silence (and thus disarm) most people who would publicly criticize orthodox Islam.

4. They try to move so slowly it is unnoticeable. I once read a book by a cavalry soldier who was posted out on the Great Plains in the early 1800s when the Apaches still had the upper hand. He said he was out on the prairie camping with a small contingent, and he was on guard duty for the night. Despite his vigilance, Apache warriors were able to get within several feet of their camp without being noticed, when they suddenly attacked.

How did they do it? They disguised themselves as bushes, and they had extreme patience. They moved so slowly it was unnoticeable. Every time he turned his head, whoever was behind him moved up just a couple of inches.

Orthodox Muslims are using the same technique with their stealth jihad and waging jihad by gaining concessions. Each concession seems like such a small accommodation, we go along with it, and yet the concessions are adding up.

5. They evoke pity. As I have described in great detail before, the most effective way to disarm good-hearted people is to elicit pity, and orthodox Muslims do this constantly, portraying themselves as the downtrodden, the persecuted, the abused. It's so effective, some have even faked "hate-crimes" to evoke pity.

The antidote to all these methods is to read the Quran. When enough people in the free world have done so, these methods will be seen for what they are and they will lose their power to influence. And as the people aboard Flight 93 demonstrated, we will be united against them, we will fight back, and the third jihad will be defeated.

Your mission, then, is to get everyone you know to read the Quran. Let's roll.

To Criticize Islam is a Great Evil

65:8 How many cities have turned away from the command of their Lord and His messengers! Therefore, We judged them severely and punished them with a harsh punishment. They tasted the evil consequences of their own behavior, and the consequences of their behavior were ruinous.

65:10 Allah has prepared a severe punishment for them. Those who are wise fear Allah for He has sent down a reminder: a Messenger who gives you clear signs from Allah so that he may bring those who believe and do good works out of the darkness and into the light. Those who believe in Allah and do good works, Allah will lead into the Gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will live forever. Allah has given them rich provisions.

33:57 Truly, those who speak evil of Allah and His Messenger will have Allah’s curse upon them in this world and the world to come. He has prepared a torturous punishment for them. And those who speak evil of believing men and women, when they have done nothing to deserve it, will carry the guilt and a clear sin.

58:5 Those who oppose Allah and His Messenger will be laid low, just as those who came before them. And now that We have sent down clear signs, the unbelievers will receive a humiliating punishment. On the day Allah raises all of them to life, He will tell them of what they did. Allah has recorded it even though they do not remember it, and Allah witnesses all things.

22:3 Among the people there are those who [Abu Jahl], in ignorance, argue about Allah and follow every rebellious devil. It is decreed that whoever takes him as a friend will be led astray, and they will be led to the torment of the Fire.

22:7 And undoubtedly the hour will come when Allah will raise all of those who are in the grave to life. And among the people there are some who argue about Allah without knowledge, guidance, or the illuminating scriptures. They turn away in contempt and lead others away from Allah’s path. They will be disgraced in this world, and on the resurrection day they will be made to taste the torment of the Fire. And We will say to them, “This is what your misdeeds have earned you, for Allah is not unfair to His servants.”

22:11 And there are some who say they serve Allah, yet they stand on the periphery of faith. If they are blessed with good fortune, they are satisfied with it, but when trials come upon them, they turn away in infidelity giving up this world and the world to come. That is a clear loss. They call upon gods that can neither harm them nor help them. This is a grievous sin. They call upon him who would rather harm them than help them. Truly evil is both the master and the friend.

22:14 But Allah will lead those who believe and do good works into Gardens watered by flowing rivers. Allah completes all that He plans.

22:15 If anyone thinks that Allah will not make His Messenger victorious in this world and the world to come, let them tie a rope to the ceiling of his house and hang himself with it. Then let him see if that course of action remedies his anger. We have sent down the Koran containing clear signs. Allah guides whom He pleases.

22:19 These two, the believers and the unbelievers, argue with each other about their Lord, but for the unbelievers, clothing of Fire has been made for them. Boiling water will be poured on their heads. It will scald their insides and their skin as well. They will be beaten with iron rods. Every time they, in their torment, attempt to escape from the Fire, they will be dragged back into it, and they will be told, “Taste the torture of the burning.”

22:23 But Allah will lead those who believe and do good works into the Gardens, beneath which are flowing rivers. They will be adorned with gold bracelets and pearls and clothed in silk garments. They were guided by the righteous words. They were guided to the glorious path.

22:25 But the unbelievers who lead others away from Allah’s path and keep them from entering the Holy Mosque [the Kabah], which We have given to all mankind—both natives and visitors, and those who sinfully seek to profane it — We will make them taste a painful punishment.

Provoke Until You Get a Response

IN THE EXCELLENT epic movie, Gandhi, a reporter is talking to Gandhi just as he was beginning his famous Salt March to the sea. The reporter asks Gandhi what he will do if the British don't respond. Gandhi said that the purpose of a campaign is to provoke a response, and if there is no response, to continue to provoke until you get a response or until they change the law.

I was just thinking about that as I was listening to Robert Spencer talk about how ridiculous it is when orthodox Muslims push for the right to have a woman's driver's license picture taken in a burka, with only her eyes showing. This has apparently been tried here in the United States in more than one state.

Another example is the taxi cab drivers in Minnesota refusing to drive someone carrying liquor.

These protests seem petty and even stupid on the face of them. Why go to all that trouble over something so small? But it allows Muslims to provoke responses from non-Muslims. The chance of gaining something is good, and the chance of losing something is very small.

First of all, the move could provoke an overreaction by someone — racist remarks, for example, or some kind of hostile response (or even violence), which would allow the orthodox Muslims to portray themselves as the abused victim, as the persecuted ones, as the oppressed minority. If this portrayal is successful, it gives them leverage in negotiations and public opinion.

Mohammad often portrayed himself and his followers as the persecuted, oppressed people, and Muslims are following his example today (as they are told to do repeatedly in the Quran). This position as the "persecuted ones" justifies hostilities against the persecutors.

Provoking a response, even with something petty, also allows the Muslims involved to make statements in the media. Any kind of event like this is newsworthy. And most journalists want to cover both sides of a grievance, so it allows Muslims a public forum. They can influence the minds of the gullible and gain sympathy.

And finally, and perhaps most importantly, if the Muslims in question can successfully portray themselves as "the injured party," they can elicit pity (at least from the non-Muslims who haven't yet read the Quran), and pity disarms good people better than anything.

Whenever you're in a negotiation, if you can appear to be harmed by your opponent, you can often gain a concession from them out of pity, and orthodox Muslims exploit this. They try to make their opponents feel guilty or look bad in the press, and to make things right (or at least to look better), non-Muslims will often concede something to the Muslims. But as you can see, the Muslims didn't give anything. They've gained a free concession. They stired up a little trouble and gained a concession.

And each concession is one inch closer to Sharia law. Each concession is Sharia law. Provoking a response is well worth the time for an orthodox Muslim whose prime directive is to strive to subjugate the world to Sharia law.

These attempts to provoke a response don't seem so stupid now. Sneaky and underhanded maybe. But not stupid.

Using Facebook as a Citizen Warrior

PLEASE JOIN groups on Facebook — groups working to defeat the third jihad. In other words, join groups that promote awareness of FGM, Geert Wilders, honor killing, Islamic teachings, etc. Why is this a good idea?

First of all, the increased numbers on their fan base give them greater legitimacy and authority. If someone comes to the page and there are only three fans, that has a different psychological impact (and less persuasive value) than a million fans would. So just "liking" the page does some good.

In addition to that, your Facebook friends and family can see what you "liked" and it can introduce them — in a very low-key, unconfrontational way — to causes they may never have heard about.

Not only that, "liking" these Facebook pages makes using Facebook more productive and satisfying, because a lot of the anti-jihad pages post some pretty good stuff. Here are some links to Facebook pages I recommend:

This will do two things: Prevent your loved ones from worrying that you've gone off the deep end (if they see you suddenly join twenty counterjihad pages). And it gives your Facebook friends more of an opportunity to see these pages — twenty opportunities rather than one.

Your First Impulse Was Correct

YOU AWAKENED from your slumber. You somehow became aware of the unsettling brilliance of Islam. Your first impulse was to share your enlightenment with others. More often than not, you were shot down, intensely and with more anger than you expected. You discovered, perhaps, that this topic is not like other kinds of topics — people are both ignorant and self-righteous about what they "know" about Islam and terrorism.

It's quite a shock.

Now you are reluctant to share what you've learned about Islam. It's too upsetting. But you are still awakened and you want to do something about it. You feel motivated. Every news item you read motivates you even more. The situation is getting more and more urgent. Something must be done. But what?

We have created a page full of answers at WhatYouCanDoAboutIslam.com, but I think it's important to point out that your first impulse was the correct one. Your response, however, was mistaken.

Your first impulse was that others must know about this. That is correct. If enough non-Muslims knew about a few basic principles of Islam, the problem is essentially solved. New legislation would be easily passed. We would have enough support for the right kind of military and legal actions. Islam's relentless encroachment would be stopped in its tracks.

Your first impulse was correct, but your subsequent response was mistaken. You tried to educate your fellow citizens and ran into a brick wall of resistance. Your response to this hostile reaction was to find some other way to express your intense motivation. But rather than finding something else to do, you should keep doing what you want to do, but learn to do it differently. Get better at it.

We must learn better ways to respond when people throw hostile arguments back at us. When you can successfully respond to their counter-arguments, you will stay calmer, the conversation will be less upsetting, and you may very well change their minds. That's what we need.

Study the Answers to Objections. Really study them. And study the Frequently Asked Questions. Download lectures from YouTube, put them on your iPod and listen to each one ten times. Study the principles of influence and practice them. Get the book How to Win Friends and Influence People on CD or as a digital download and listen to it ten times.

Prepare yourself in earnest, keep sharing what you know about Islam, and constantly improve your ability to get through to people. Let's get really good at this. Your first impulse was correct: This is the most important thing that needs to be done.

"You Can Justify Anything if You Quote it Out of Context"

THIS IS ANOTHER installment in our series, Answers to Objections. Some day in the near future (if it hasn't happened already), you'll be telling someone what's in the Quran, and they'll respond with something like this: "Well, the Bible has a lot of violent passages too, and people can pretty much read these holy books however they want to read them."

In other words, it's not what is written in those books; the problem is that some people are looking to justify violence and they will pick and choose passages to help their justifications.

The person you're talking with will probably think her or his comment will end your line of reasoning, because for someone who doesn't know much about Islam or the Quran, the comment seems like a legitimate objection.

This is a perfect opportunity to explain a little about the differences between other religious doctrines and Islamic doctrines. Not only is the content different, the way it was written is different too. So here's one possible way to answer:

"The Quran is different in several important ways from any other religious book. Do you know how it was written?"

The person probably don't even know that much, and I think it's important to establish — in this subtle and unoffensive way — just how much your listener doesn't know about Islam. It helps to create a frame of mind conducive to listening to new information.

So when the person says, "No, I don't know how it was written," you can continue:

"The entire Quran was written by one man, Mohammad, over the course of his lifetime. It took him 23 years to write it. Actually he didn't write it, he recited it because he was illiterate. It isn't full of metaphors or obscure stories. It isn't a collection of things written over many years by many different authors like some other religious books. It is mostly graphic descriptions of hell and Paradise, and direct instructions on how a Muslim should behave, dictated to Mohammad directly from Allah (through an angel).

"In other words, you can't really justify anything with it. You may be able to do that with some other religious books, but the Quran says very clearly and directly what a Muslim must do to avoid hell and make it to Paradise. By the way, do you already know about the principle of abrogation?"

The person you're talking to will probably shake his or her head. So you can explain it:

"Well, since the different chapters, or suras, came as revelations periodically over Mohammad's lifetime, and since his circumstances changed so much, the nature of the revelations changed too. So there are conflicting passages in the Quran.

This will catch your listener's interest.

"Some passages encourage Muslims to be tolerant toward other religions, and some passages encourage Muslims to be intolerant and even violent to unbelievers.

"But, oddly enough, the Quran itself has some passages explaining what to do with its own contradictions. The passages say when two passages in the Quran conflict with each other, the one that came later is better than the one that came earlier. This is the principle of abrogation. Unfortunately, all the intolerant and violent passages came later, and they supercede the earlier peaceful and tolerant passages."

And at this point, I would probably try to persuade the person to read the Quran themselves. (Read more about that approach here: Push Them to Read the Quran.)

Honor Killing Awareness Campaign

THE GROUP, Stop Islamization of America, has come up with an ingenious campaign. They are putting ads on Chicago taxis — ads to help young Muslim girls in fear of being murdered in an "honor killing." Clearly printed at the bottom of the ad is the web address: LeaveIslamSafely.com.

This is brilliant. It is a public service ad, doing something anybody would have a hard time publicly arguing against — helping young girls in fear of their lives. And at the same time, the ad cleverly associates this problem — a problem most people are unaware of — with Islam. The faces on the ads are real Muslim women who have been victims of honor-related brutality.

It's brilliant and it's also kind. It will probably save the lives of young heterodox Muslim girls.

The project is the brainchild of Pamela Geller of AtlasShrugs.com and Robert Spencer of JihadWatch.org.

And the timing of this campaign is fortuitous. An attempted honor killing of a famous person is in the news. As Geller says, "Last week, a beautiful young Muslim actress, Harry Potter star Afshan Azad, was badly beaten, but thankfully escaped death when her father and brother attempted to honor murder her. She was dating a non-Muslim."

"It is important to note that 'both [Azad’s] parents were born and educated in the U.K.' They were not unassimilated immigrants, which the media and the apologists always associate with honor killings in the West." Police say 17,000 women are victims every year in the UK alone.

New Video: Three Things About Islam

A GROUP CALLING themselves "White Roses" created a video to inform non-Muslims about Islam. It's called Three Things About Islam. You can view it on YouTube or click here to see it on Citizen Warrior.

White Roses is headquartered in Sweden. Their first version is in English, and they're now working on two more versions in German and Swedish. We'll let you know when they're done.

The name "White Roses" is based on a student resistance group "Die weiße Rose" in Nazi Germany. The group became known for an anonymous leaflet campaign, from June 1942 until February 1943, which called for active opposition to Adolf Hitler's regime.

A spokeswoman for White Roses told me, "We see a parallel here concerning the protection of free speech. As you posted today, freedom of speech is getting more and more limited. The intention in choosing this name is to make a point that there will be groups opposing the doctrine of the state and speaking their mind."

We've given White Roses the Citizen Warrior Hero Award because they are doing exactly what needs to be done — what we should all be doing: Sharing with non-Muslims key information about Islam, making it interesting and easy to hear, keeping it non-partisan, focusing on Sharia and not on Muslims, keeping it clean and not staining it with racism or hatred, and in this case, putting it in a form that is easily shareable by others.

I've posted the video on a new site I'm building. The purpose of the new site is to help us reach people who might be put off by anything that smacks of Islam-bashing. I suggest you use that site to share the video with those friends and family who don't yet know much about Islam: Three Things About Islam Video.

Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff Versus Sharia

A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT has been filed against Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff for "hate speech" under Austrian law. She gave a presentation about Islam in Austria, teaching some of the same basic things about Islam we teach here. But a magazine planted someone in her class to observe (and to make a formal accusation with the police) leading to the charges brought against her. Then the magazine published a story about her "hate school.

Sabaditsch-Wolff knows a lot about Islam. She's the daughter of a retired diplomat who spent parts of her childhood in Iran during the Khomeini Revolution. Later, she spent some time in Iraq and was employed at the Austrian embassies in Libya and Kuwait. In 1990, she and other Austrians were held hostage during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.

Sabaditsch-Wolff represents the Citizens' Movement Pax Europa on an international level, and she's the ACT! for America chapter leader for Vienna.

Yet she was formally charged with "inciting hatred against a religious group," and in Austria (given what happened during WWII) they take this charge seriously.

One reason for the investigation is her use of something from Citizen Warrior — excerpts from the article, Why I Am Worried About Islam But Not Christianity. In particular, this part:

Some Christians have political goals, just as some dog fanciers have political goals.
But Islam is different in an important way: Muslims have a religious duty to work for political goals — it is a form of devotion and worship — and Muslims don't get to choose what goals they should strive for; the goals have been decreed by Allah. Mohammad was against living in monasteries or living a contemplative life. Muslims do not meditate. The way to show devotion to Allah is to fight for Islam. Literally (and politically).

As far as I know, no Christians have expressed any desire to kill me. And it would have no doctrinal support from the New Testament if they had.
Many Jihadis have openly expressed the desire to kill all Americans, including me, and many Americans have already been killed by them. And they have plenty of doctrinal support from the Qur'an to justify this killing.

A Christian can leave Christianity any time they want.
The penalty for leaving Islam is death.

When Christians kill, it can only be in spite of Christian teachings.
When a Jihadi kills, it is likely because of Islamic teachings, and they will tell you so openly and proudly.

Sabaditsch-Wolff has been giving her seminars for awhile, and one Austrian web site sent someone to attend her seminar. In their report, they wrote:

In 95% of her three-hour lecture on Islam, the Koran, and sharia, seminar leader Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff cites Muslims from around the world, or directly from the Koran. She holds back with her own interpretations — even without an undercover agent present! Among those attending we noticed no traces of aggression — they were more horrified by what they heard. During a break, the mood was relaxed, but with no signs of xenophobia or the like!

Sabaditsch-Wolff is going to fight these charges, and she is gaining worldwide support. She's a symbol and focus of support, not unlike Geert Wilders, because she's a forerunner in the fight we all face — the battle to protect our freedoms in Western societies against Muslim pressure to insert Sharia standards into Western policies.

To give you a better feel for what kind of woman Sabaditsch-Wolff is, and to really feel her strength, intelligence, and clear-headed reasonableness, read the following excerpts from an interview with Sabaditsch-Wolff by Austria's equivalent to Time Magazine. Her answers are worth studying.

Early on, the interviewer asked if she really saw the need for trying to preserve Europe and its democratic and secular values.

Sabaditsch-Wolff said: There are powerful groups who are working towards the Islamization of Europe. That is a fact. What can we gain from closing our eyes and ignoring this? Even Libyan leader Muammar Ghadafi says: "There are signs that Allah will grant victory to Islam in Europe without swords, without guns, without conquest. We don't need terrorists, we don't need homicide bombers. The 50+ million Muslims [in Europe] will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades." A head of state confirms what our politicians deny. What else has to happen until we finally get it?

Interviewer: You are accused of making the following statements, among others: "Muslims rape children because of their religion", or "Mohammed enjoyed contact with children." Why the polemics?

Sabaditsch-Wolff: This is a clever strategy. You and all the others who are now crying wolf are locked in a choice of words. As a result you are able to maneuver yourselves away from the main point. It is a fact that Mohammed married a six-year-old at the age of 56. To this day men in Islamic countries view this as legitimizing marriage to a minor, thereby causing rape and life-long trauma. This is the problem we need to address, and not how to circumscribe this bitter reality.

Interviewer: Are you afraid that these customs will become part of Europe?

Sabaditsch-Wolff: There are groups who have this goal. In every Islamic system you find that human rights of young girls are in grave danger. Look at Saudi Arabia. Look at the former socialist South Yemen. When Khomeini came to power he lowered the minimum age for girls to get married to nine years.

Interviewer: You are being accused of Islamophobia. Does this bother you?

Sabaditsch-Wolff: A phobia is an irrational fear. My worries are not irrational, but justified. One of these days our politicians will have to recognize this fact. People like me are not right-wing xenophobes.

Interviewer: But what are you?

Sabaditsch-Wolff: We are people defending the principles of freedom and equality in a secular society. I criticize political Islam and its political manifestations. No democratic country can take this right away from anyone.

Interviewer: In what way are you qualified to hold these seminars?

Sabaditsch-Wolff: I have an M.A. in Diplomatic and Strategic Studies. I spent part of my childhood in Islamic countries, worked and lived there. I have personally experienced life in Islamic societies and I see evidence of a trend towards the Islamization of Europe.

Interviewer: Will you continue with your seminars?

Sabaditsch-Wolff: Yes. There are requests coming in from all over Austria. I will continue to defend my right to freedom of speech. I will not be gagged.

Practicing Muslims Warned Against Making Friends With Non-Muslims

4:144 Believers! Do not take unbelievers as friends over fellow believers. Would you give Allah a clear reason to punish you?

60:1 Oh, you who believe, do not take My enemy and yours for friends by showing them kindness. They reject the truth that has come to you. They drive out the messengers and yourselves because you believe in Allah, your Lord. What Should We Call the Two Kinds of Muslims?

WHEN WE SPEAK about Muslims, I think most of us try to make the distinction between those Muslims who follow core Islamic teachings on the one hand, and those who call themselves Muslims but who ignore a great deal of the basic principles of Islam.

I've often had to clarify myself when someone takes offense at something I say by making this distinction: "I'm criticising Islamic doctrine. If someone doesn't follow the doctrine, then I am not criticising them."

I have tried various words and phrases to make this distinction in my speech, so instead of saying "Muslims believe X," for example, I will say, "Islamic supremacists believe X." It bypasses one of my listener's most obvious objection to what I'm saying.

Others are doing this too, and I see "true believers" being called Jihadis, Jihadists, Islamists, militant Muslims, Mujahedeen, Islamofascists, fundamentalists, extremists, insurgents, and the ridiculously meaningless term, "radical Muslims" (which is almost as bad as the phrase "war on terror"). I just read an article by Mohamed Akram and he used the phrase "observant Muslim." I thought that was pretty good. But I think two of the best are Brigitte Gabriel's phrase, "practicing Muslims" and Vijay Kumar's "literal Muslims." Actually, Kumar uses the term "literal Islam," but I like that word "literal." Bill Warner's use of the phrase "political Islam" is good too.

This topic is newsworthy these days as Obama's administration has tried to avoid using any language in their national security organizations that might imply a religious motivation to Muslims who kill non-Muslims in the name of Islam. Their newly-released National Security Strategy came up with a term we can add to our list. The report referred to practicing Muslims by using the clumsy and misleading term, "al-Qaeda and its terrorist affiliates."

The nomenclature for Muslims who don't really follow the teachings is sparse. "Moderate Muslims?" That's pretty much worthless. How about "mainstream Muslims?" That's a meaningless phrase unless you don't know anything about Islam, at which time it becomes mistakenly meaningful. Some have used the oxymoronic term, "secular Muslims." Of course, Muslims themselves use the term "apostates."

I've experimented with a couple of names for this category of Muslims. For instance, JRMs (Jihad Rejecting Muslims) isn't bad. But my favorite is MINOs (Muslim in Name Only). The MINOs themselves might not like it, but it's clear enough for our purposes.

My vote is "practicing Muslims" for the devout ones and MINOs for the non-devout. What do you think? "You Should Really Talk to a Muslim"

THIS IS ANOTHER installment in our series, Answers to Objections. This objection seems sensible if you haven't had time to think about it, but it is meaningless — unless, of course, you've just made the blunder of overgeneralizing (saying something like, "All Muslims treat their women badly") — in which case, you should immediately correct yourself by talking about Islamic doctrine rather than talking about "Muslims."

But assuming you are making no such blunders, here is a possible answer to this objection:

"I have talked to Muslims. And I've met some very nice Muslims. They are either ignoring some of the basic, mainstream Islamic teachings (read more about that) or they are using taqiyya (read more about taqiyya here), which is the Islamic principle of "religious deception" or deception for the sake of Islam.

"But hopefully, they were simply genuinely nice people who are ignoring some of their religious principles. You see, if a Muslim is truly a friend to me (a non-Muslim), he or she is violating an important doctrine of Islam: A Muslim is forbidden to befriend a non-Muslim. I'm not making this up. It's in the Quran and it's stated very clearly. (See Quran quotes about this.)

"But either way, it doesn't change the fact that the doctrine of Islam is hazardous to non-Muslims and we should learn about it. Sixty-one percent of the Quran is about how Muslims are supposed to deal with non-Muslims. Millions of Muslims around the world are devout believers in that doctrine.

"What I'm advocating is simple public knowledge about these facts. It's amazing how little most people know about Islam, especially given how much these teachings impact current events. Anyway, please stop believing what other people tell you, including me, and just read the Quran yourself."

A Video on Taqiyya

WHEN I CHOSE the top three things a non-Muslim should know about Islam (in this article), one of them was taqiyya, which means lying or deceiving non-Muslims in the service of Islam.

The following is a good video on taqiyya. It's a concept about which all of us should become well-versed because the skillful use of taqiyya is one of the primary reasons so many non-Muslims are not only ignorant about Islam, but self-righteously so. Muslims Are Not the Problem

I OFTEN HEAR from people who are focused on winning arguments with Muslims, or somehow convincing Muslims they're wrong, or trying to make them feel bad for being Muslims, or just hating people they think look Muslim. Their focus is all on Muslims.

But Muslims in name only (MINOs or JRMs) are not the problem, and Muslims who actually follow Mohammad's example are not the problem either.

The problem is us.

The problem is too many non-Muslims either don't have a clue about the third jihad, or have a clue but can't believe it, or they are non-Muslims who know what's going on but think there's nothing they can do to stop it (the demoralized).

With the know-how you have right now, you can turn all three of those around. (The fourth category I didn't mention are those few who know all about it, but don't really care. They are a small percentage and they cannot be reached.)

But the vast majority of people in the free world are in the three categories above and they can all be influenced. They can all be swayed. Learn more about how to reach each here: clueless, don't believe it, demoralized.

Anyway, that is our problem: The lack of understanding of the situation by non-Muslims. And that can be handled by us. It's our problem. We need not — and should not — expect Muslims to do anything.

The Islamic supremacists can be stopped by us if enough of us know what's going on. Trying to make them wrong or get them to change or ridiculing them or doing anything about them (or to them) is the wrong thing to focus on.

There are hundreds of millions of non-Muslims in the free world who need to be enlightened. Once enough of us are enlightened, we'll be able to wield enough influence to get more articles and programs critical of Islam published in mainstream sources. That will bring even more people into the inner circle. At that point, we'll have enough people to vote in politicians who know what's going on and are willing to do something about it (knowing they'll have the support of enough of the population).

We will continue to gain influence and new recruits as this understanding spreads. The majority of Muslims may or may not see the writing on the wall and may or may not do something about it, but it doesn't matter. If we take care of what we need to take care of, we don't need to care what they do, and that's the right attitude to have.

We do not need to make them see the error of their ways — it's a waste of our time. We have one task that needs to be done: The education of our fellow non-Muslims. You, personally, have only one primary task: The education of the people within your sphere of influence. And once they understand, it's time to get them out there influencing the people within their sphere of influence. Let's get crackin!

An Example For All of Us

LAST WEEK, someone wrote to me saying the links on Islam 101 don't work. I wrote him back and told him to try right-clicking on a link and opening it in a new window. When he wrote back saying that worked, I asked him what got him interested in this subject. I thought his response was inspiring. He wrote:

"I am now a US citizen, but I am originally a Hindu from India. Islam has slaughtered over 80 million Hindus in India. I do not want that to happen to my new home — the United States.

"I greatly admire your site. I have taken up many of your suggestions. I bought multiple copies of several books and DVDs that expose the true nature of Islam and began circulating those among friends. I have now met another individual here in my home town (a regular American, born and brought up in the United States) who shares my concern.

"We are building a library of books and DVDs to educate people about the threat of Islam. Every Saturday, we screen a movie for people and we have a discussion following the movie. This is in its initial stages, and we hope to expand it.

"We may soon have a local chapter of Act for America in our town.

"Thank you for all your efforts — your web site is an incomparable resource for all who are worried about Islam's designs on America and the world. I wish you every success."

Concessions to Islam are the Establishment of Sharia Law

BILL WARNER of Political Islam comes up with brilliant insights as a matter of course. His latest book, Sharia Law for Non-Muslims, is an unassuming little volume of 48 pages. And yet, in the first chapter, he made me see something I've never realized before, and it blew me away. Here it is:

Every accomodation non-Muslims make for Muslims moves our culture, our beliefs, and our legal systems one step closer to Sharia law.

The concession itself is the establishment of Sharia law.

Let's look at an example. Around the world, Muslims react strongly when anyone criticizes Islam. Why? In Sharia law, it is forbidden to criticize either Islam or Mohammad. This is a precept of Sharia law.

Forbidding the criticism of any religion is certainly not a precept of a free society or of Western civilization. This means: To whatever degree Islamic supremacists succeed in silencing our criticisms of Islam, to that degree they have imposed Sharia law on non-Muslims.

Do you know what this means? When the U.S. government stops using words that even imply that Islam might have something to do with terrorism (out of their fear of offending Muslims), what has happened? Islamic supremacists have successfully imposed Sharia law on the U.S. government! This has already happened. Read about it here and here and here.

The primary directive of Islam is not to convert everybody, but to bring everybody on Earth under the rule of Sharia law, whether they like it or not. Ridiculous, right? How could it possibly happen? And yet, it is already happening right under our noses. Here are some examples of the Western world allowing Sharia law to be applied in their own countries:

1. The UN passed a resolution banning criticism of Islam.
2. In Britain, female Muslim medical staff don't have to follow legal rules of cleanliness.
3. Also in Britain, Muslim women can no longer get a divorce like other women in Britain.
4. Penn Jillette (of Penn and Teller) will not criticize Islam out of fear.
5. A blogger in Malaysia was arrested for insulting Islam.
6. Muslims get segregated toilets in Australia so they don't have to go to the bathroom where non-Muslims go to the bathroom.
7. Germany and Belgium offer welfare benefits to Muslim polygamists' various wives.
8. Scotland allows Sharia courts to operate within their borders.
9. Russia allows Sharia courts to operate, even though it is against their Constitution.
10. In Canada, public swimming pools are closed to non-Muslims so Muslim women can swim away from the defiling eyes of non-Muslims.

The examples of Sharia law being implemented in free countries can go on and on (read more here). The push for accomodations and concessions is unceasing. And if Muslims are pushing for it, you can bet it is Sharia law.

Muslims may not be able to defeat us in war to establish Sharia by force, but they can incrementally gain one concession after the other until we are following Sharia law by our own choice.

A READER just sent me a copy of a note she sent to Facebook about the removal of the Geert Wilders' Facebook page. She sent her email to: abuse@facebook.com (update: this email address may no longer work; please see comments on this post for the lastest information). I think we should all do something similar. As soon as I post this, I'm going to do it too. Here is what she wrote:

I just found out that FaceBook took down Geert Wilders' page. That's wrong. That's against freedom of speech. He's a well respected member of the Holland's third largest political party. He's fighting for freedom and everything we hold dear. How could you possibly take his page off FaceBook?

I can only presume you have submitted to the complaints of Muslims and you are afraid to take a stand against them. You guys need to step up to the plate and behave like men, not scared little boys.

If you value democracy and your right to speak our mind, even if the truth offends Islam, then you simply must take a stand for freedom of speech. His is not hate speech. He simply speaks the truth about what Islam is doing to his homeland of Holland and the rest of Europe. As he has said more than once: America is the world's last great hope. Please show him he's right.

"But There Are Peaceful Passages in the Qur'an Too"

THIS IS ANOTHER in our series, Answers to Objections. This one is easy because the Islamic world already has a well-established answer to the question. Every reader of the Qur'an, since the time it was written, has noticed conflicting messages. And they've had the question, "When two passages from the Qur'an conflict, which one should I follow?"

The Qur'an itself answers the question. It says if two passages conflict, the passage revealed later is better than the one revealed earlier. The policy is known as abrogation. Learn more about abrogation here.

Since the order in which the chapters of the Qur'an were written was carefully recorded, each instance of a conflicting passage is easily settled. The bad news is: The peaceful passages were some of the first written, and the intolerant, violent passages were almost all written later.

So the short answer is, "Yes, there are peaceful passages in the Qur'an. But they have all been abrogated."
