When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022, many Americans thought the battle over abortion was largely won.

Four years later, the reality is far more complicated.

In our latest episode, Craig DeRoche sits down with Clare Ath, head of government affairs for Human Coalition, one of the nation’s largest organizations where women facing unplanned pregnancies can find support, resources and alternatives to abortion.

The numbers she shares may surprise you.

Human Coalition expects to serve approximately 50,000 women this year who are actively considering abortion. Even more striking, Clare says that 78% of the women they’ve served say they would prefer to parent if their circumstances were different.

So what’s driving so many women to believe abortion is their only option?

The answer isn’t what most people think.

Craig and Clare discuss:
• The biggest need women facing unplanned pregnancies consistently identify
• Why Dobbs was a critical victory, but not the end of the fight
• Why state-level policy battles are becoming increasingly important
• New proposals that could help support parents when they need it most

Changing laws is only part of the solution. The deeper challenge is changing hearts, strengthening families and ensuring women know they are not alone.

The work of protecting life didn’t end with Dobbs, and it won’t end here. Family Policy Alliance will continue equipping you with the information and opportunities you need to make a difference through your Family Policy Council, action alerts and voter engagement.

Together, we can help build a nation where life is cherished.

Watch the full conversation today.

Dear Friend,

This week marks four years since the Supreme Court’s landmark Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade and returned abortion policy to the American people and their elected representatives.

Dobbs was a historic victory for life, but the work of protecting preborn children, supporting mothers, and advancing a culture that values every human life continues.

As we commemorate this important anniversary, pro-life leaders in the U.S. Senate are seeking unanimous consent on several measures that would protect vulnerable Americans and strengthen support for women, children and families, including:

Sen. Lankford: Conscience Protection Act, S. 1756

Sen. Blackburn: Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, S. 4329

Sen. Britt: MOMS Act, S. 1630

Sen. Budd: Promoting Human Flourishing in Foreign Assistance Act

Sen. Daines: Protecting Individuals with Down Syndrome Act, S. 205

Sen. Hyde-Smith: SAVE Moms and Babies, S. 3697

Sen. Ernst: Protect Funding for Women’s Health Care Act, S. 177

Sen. Moody: Pregnant Students Rights Act, S. 3627

Sen. Banks: Forced Abortion Prevention and Accountability Act, S. 2955

We at Family Policy Alliance stand with these senators as they seek to place abortion and the protection of women and girls squarely before the public. We are encouraged to see leaders continue advancing policies that affirm the dignity of every human life.

As these proposals are being considered on the Senate floor, would you join us in praying?

Pray for wisdom and courage for our nation’s leaders. Pray that every human life would be recognized as possessing inherent dignity and worth. Pray for mothers facing difficult circumstances, for families in need of support, and for policies that protect both women and their children.

Four years after Dobbs, we celebrate this historic victory and remain committed to the work of protecting life, supporting women and families, and advancing policies that help every person flourish.

Thank you for joining us in prayer this week and for standing with us as we work toward a nation where families thrive and life is cherished.

Strong families are the foundation of a strong nation, and faithful fathers play a vital role in building them. Through their everyday guidance, correction, sacrifice, and steadfast presence, fathers pass on the values, faith, and character that outlast them for generations.

Scripture says it plainly: “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” (Proverbs 20:7).

President Reagan once said, “All great change in America begins at the dinner table.” He was right. The most consequential work in our nation doesn’t happen in committee rooms or on campaign trails. It happens in homes, around dinner tables and in the simple moments that matter most.

At Family Policy Alliance and Foundation, we are deeply grateful for the fathers who lead their families well. Their influence doesn’t stop at their front door. It flows into their churches, their communities, and ultimately, our nation.

This Father’s Day, would you join us in praying for the fathers in your life? May God grant them wisdom, strength, and the courage to keep leading well.

Wishing you a joyful and blessed Father’s Day,

Can the government compel a faith-based ministry to disclose private donor information?

That question led to a unanimous 9-0 Supreme Court ruling in favor of a New Jersey pregnancy resource center.

While the case involves a pregnancy center, the principles at stake reach far beyond the life issue. The Court’s ruling reinforces protections for free association, donor privacy and the constitutional rights of Americans to support causes they believe in without fear of government intimidation.

In our latest Family Policy Alliance Report podcast, Craig DeRoche sits down with Gabriella McIntyre of Alliance Defending Freedom, who helped secure the victory before the nation’s highest court.

Together, they discuss:

How a request for donor records became a major First Amendment case

The support the pregnancy center received from unexpected allies

Why even Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson questioned the legal basis for New Jersey’s case

What decades-old legal precedent led to the unanimous decision

What this decision could mean for ministries, nonprofits and advocacy organizations nationwide

The ruling was decisive, but the broader fight is not over.

Watch the full conversation to hear the attorney behind the case explain what happened, why it matters and what comes next.

Dear Friend,

If you pay attention to the headlines, you may have noticed something important: Most of the progress on pro-family legislation is happening not in D.C, but in the states.

There’s a story behind that… and you’ve played a role in it.

Some would go all the way back to our Founding Fathers, who designed a system where most of the policy decisions affecting everyday life were meant to happen at the state level. And indeed, we can be thankful for that system.

Others would point to the almost-constant stalemate in Congress, and it’s true that makes for an easy bar for states to surpass.

But there’s a “secret sauce” that has been driving a long run of remarkable pro-family wins in the states.

For years, through your support, Family Policy Alliance (FPA) has hosted and served an alliance of state-based Family Policy Councils (FPCs). These organizations, many of which FPA helped launch, have been growing—now operating with nearly 400 professional staff nationwide with expertise in law, lobbying, communications, media, church relations and other key areas.

This growth in capacity and credibility has led to an unprecedented surge in pro-family policies advancing in state capitols.

You may have read about FPA’s initiatives like Help Not Harm to protect kids from gender transitions, Save Girls’ Sports, and Age Verification to protect kids from pornography. In the past six years, each of these FPA-led initiatives has become law in at least half the states – and in nearly every case, it was Family Policy Councils that did the heavy lifting to get it done.

But despite the incredible progress in many states, so much still hangs in the balance. That’s especially evident in bluer states, where we’re only beginning to see breakthroughs on some of these issues.

Thank you for your continued – or first-time – support of Family Policy Alliance as we serve these state allies across our nation. Your help makes it possible.

More than 50 years after Roe v. Wade, the March for Life continues to bring together Americans from every background to stand for the dignity and worth of every human life. In our latest episode of The Family Policy Alliance Report, Craig DeRoche sits down with March for Life President Jennie Bradley Lichter to discuss why the movement remains strong, how young people are stepping up and what comes next after Dobbs.

Craig and Jennie also discuss:

Why the pro-life movement sees itself as a continuation of the fight for human rights

The surprising role young Americans are playing in advancing the cause of life

How women have led the movement from its earliest days

Why the March for Life attracts people from diverse faiths and backgrounds

Friends,

What happens when a state tries to shield dangerous medical practices from accountability?

In our latest episode of The SoCon Report, Craig DeRoche sits down with Shawn Hyland, director of advocacy for the New Jersey Family Policy Center, to pull back the curtain on a pair of “shield law” bills moving fast through the New Jersey legislature.

These bills wouldn’t just shield certain medical providers from accountability. They would put YOU at legal risk — pastors, journalists, advocates, everyday citizens — simply for speaking out. A fourth-degree crime. Civil damages. Court fees. Just for saying the wrong thing about the wrong organization.

Craig and Shawn also discuss:
• Why New Jersey is becoming a destination state for irreversible gender procedures on minors
• How Planned Parenthood is expanding into “gender care”
• The growing backlash against late-term abortion laws in New Jersey
• Why young Christians are stepping up in surprising ways

Most importantly, they share why there’s still hope and how people of faith can make a difference before it’s too late.

If you live in New Jersey, or know someone who does, visit or share NJFPC.org to learn more and contact state legislators today.

No matter what state you live in, you can visit FamilyPolicyAlliance.com/allies to connect directly with your state Family Policy Council. We want you to get equipped and join the movement defending life, protecting children and advancing biblical values through civic engagement.

Watch the full conversation and hear what the media won’t tell you.

Dear Friends,

Over the weekend, Family Policy Alliance, alongside members of our state Family Policy Councils and Statesmen Academy® alumni, joined thousands of Americans on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for Rededicate250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving.

It was an incredible day of prayer, worship, and encouragement during America’s historic 250th year.

Hearing from leaders like Speaker Mike Johnson and President Donald Trump, alongside pastors, worship leaders, and believers from across the country, served as a powerful reminder of the importance of faith, prayer, and courageous leadership in our nation.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined in prayer, whether in Washington or from your own church, home, or community.

As we move through this important year in our nation’s history, we invite you to continue praying for America, for our leaders, and for the next generation of courageous men and women stepping forward to serve.

Your support also helps Family Policy Alliance continue equipping and training leaders through initiatives like:

School Board Academy

And our work alongside Family Policy Councils across the country

Thank you for standing with us!

Dear Supporters,

Last night, the U.S. Supreme Court extended a stay allowing the abortion drug mifepristone to continue being shipped through the mail nationwide while legal challenges continue.

At Family Policy Alliance, we are deeply disappointed by this decision.

Women deserve real medical care, not dangerous abortion drugs delivered by mail with little to no medical oversight or any in-person medical evaluations.

These mail-order abortion drugs also place vulnerable women at greater risk, including victims of coercion, abuse, and trafficking. Americans deserve to know the truth: chemical abortions are often accompanied by serious physical and emotional dangers that are conveniently minimized, underreported, or ignored altogether.

Abortion drugs like mifepristone are now the leading form of abortions in the United States, accounting for more than 60-65% of all abortions. It is past time for this tragedy to end.

Family Policy Alliance will continue working alongside pro-life organizations and our state Family Policy Councils across the country to strengthen protections for women, unborn children, and families.

Today, we invite you to stand for life with us:

Pray for women, unborn children, and families.

Learn more about our After Roe efforts to help states protect women and unborn children from dangerous mail-order abortion drugs.
