PrideUBC’s Outweek 2012 starts next week, on Monday February 6, and continues until Wednesday February 15.

Come down to the Student Union Building all week next week for activities celebrating all things queer! Join us for workshops, discussion panels, film nights and storytime sessions – all leading up to the Queer Prom Bash on Friday February 10!

Monday, February 13th is the First Annual World Radio Day. World Radio Day “seeks [to] raise awareness about the importance of radio, facilitate access to information through radio and enhance networking among broadcasters. Radio has to be recognized as a low cost medium, specifically suited to reach remote communities and vulnerable people: the illiterate, the disabled, women, youth and the poor, while offering a platform to intervene in the public debate, irrespective of people’s educational level.”

Be sure to tune in to CiTR on February 13 for special programming!
