· What you can do in Borobudur Temple Area?

You can explore Borobudur Temple in the terraces temple and also can see the view hill from the temple. there are fantastic views from the temple over green fields and trees to distant hills and volcanoes, including active Merapi mountain. As you know, Borobudur consists of six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and is decorated with no less than 2.672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues of various types. The main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupas. The square base is 118 m (387 ft) long on each side, and the highest point 35 m (114 ft) above ground level. This led Beale to build a model ship based on those depictions, and that is now housed in its own dedicated space within the museum.

Borobudur is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Yogyakarta, where many day trip tours can be booked. In Yogyakarta is not all tourism place can visit by public transportation especially angkot or mini bus. But for Borobudur Temple you can visit it by public transportation. Whatever you place just go to Terminal Jombor (Bus Stop Jombor). As you know in Yogyakarta already new transportation Transjogja and this bus also have service to Jombor terminal. So you can used this transportation first with the fee 4.000 IDR. After that continue with the mini bus with the title Yogyakarta-Muntilan-Borobudur or sometimes the bus made it short Yogya-Munti-Boro. First you should out first from the shelter Transjogja, the bus area is near toilet or behind shelter Jombor Terminal. Look the old bus but that is still useful and also safety. The price around 20.000 IDR – 25.000 IDR depend on bus conductor. The way to get to Borobudur Temple is an hour journey. The reason bus will stop to up and down passengers. Don’t worry the end bus will in Borobudur Terminal.

After the bus conductor said “Terakhir, Tujuan Terakhir (The end bus, the last destination). You should turn from the bus and just find the way to out in the main street. When you already pay the ticket, you can see many trees and also nice some toilet and information center. You can take a rest or you can continue to look a famous world heritage site known for its Buddhist temple complex. Before you go to this area, officer will borrow you sarong to used in Borobudur area. The sarong also has motive Borobudur temple, when you finish look around Borobudur temple area, you can give it back when you go to outside of Borobudur temple. NOTE: Don’t forget bring an umbrella or hat when look around Borobudur Temple because in up Borobudur area the weather very hot. Plus bring a bottle water just in case if you feel thirsty when look around the Borobudur temple, because in the temple area no stall to sell food.

North Yogyakarta | Buddhist Temple

Many tourists said if you are holiday in Yogyakarta, don’t forget to visit the big Buddhist Temple. Actually Borobudur temple located at Magelang, Central Java and 40 kilometers northwest of Yogyakarta. But Borobudur Temple is famous in area Yogyakarta. HISTORY OF BOROBUDUR

This famous Buddhist temple, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, is located in central Java. It was built in three tiers: a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces, the trunk of a cone with three circular platforms and, at the top, a monumental stupa. The walls and balustrades are decorated with fine low reliefs, covering a total surface area of 2,500 m2. Around the circular platforms are 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha. On February 23, 1983 the President Republic Indonesia, Soeharto, inaugurated the completion of Borobudur temple renovation (post renovation) with an expectation that it can last to another 1000 years.

As continuation of this renovation, Indonesia government decided to build a park around the temple of 85 ha. Function of this park is silencer, to arrange and accommodate increased visitor flows to the temple. Consequently, this park is protecting and safeguarding belt of glorious Borobudur temple. In the concept of park planning, it was attempted to restore historical and spiritual atmosphere around the temple. Borobudur’s name originated from words Boro and Budur. Boro means temple or shrine from Sanskrit “Byara”. While Budur remains us of Balinese “Beduhur” which means above the hills. If you examine the temple from a distant it gives you a shape of stupa but when you get near it, two items or building styles. Upper part has the shape of main stupa and is based on there round kernels, this style represent Indian architecture style while the lower part is stepped pyramid shaped as quadrilateral with angles.

Borobudur was constructed during the golden era of the Sailendra dynasty, which held sway on Java and neighboring Sumatra. Eruptions deposited volcanic ash on the site and the lush vegetation of Java took root on the largely forgotten site. In the early 19^th century Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, British governor of Java, heard of the site and took an interest in having it excavated. While this process revealed Borobudur’s treasures it also triggered a process of decay by exposing them to the elements. Villagers liberated stones for building materials, and collectors removed Buddha heads and other treasures for private and public collections around the world. The result is that Borobudur remains today what it was 1.200 years ago—a unique treasure to rival any site in Southeast Asia.

Coban Rondo Waterfall

Coban Rondo is a beautiful water fall on the slope of Mount Panderman resort that is about 32 km to the west from Malang, and just 12 km from Batu. It is very interested to see and visit. The height of waterfall is about 80 meter and average temperature on this site is 22 degree. You can find and enjoy beautiful panorama ore peaceful impression around the waterfall. Before enjoying the waterfall, you need to walk around 50 m from the parking area. You will be welcomed be grey monkeys, and refreshing green landscape. The fresh temperature of this area attracts you to enjoy fresh air and surroundings to enjoy holidays here.

Beside having waterfall as the core of the attraction, outbound activities and camping ground are provided to accommodate visitors activities. You can sit and relax and eat grilled corns sold at the side of parking areas. Coban Rondo is located at Pandansari village Kecamatan Pujon, in the region of KPH Perum Perhutani Malang. Water debits when rainy season is 150 liters oer second and at dry seasons is 90 liters per second.

The Legend of Coban Rondo

Once upon a time there was a couple who just got married, Prince Raden Baron Kusuma and Princess Dewi Anjarwati. On their way to visit the prince’s parents, a man named Joko Lelono held them up.

He fell in love with the princess and wanted to take her. The fight couldn’t be avoided so the prince commanded his guards to take the princess to a place where the waterfall was. The princess waited for the prince at the waterfall but unfortunately both men died during the fight so the princess became a widow.

In Javanese widow is called rondo and waterfall is coban. It was then that waterfall was named Coban Rondo. It was said that one of the big rocks there was the princess’ sitting place. You can sit on it and imagine how the princess felt during the long wait for her beloved husband to come.

How to get there:

Whatever your position in Batu, just go to Terminal batu (Batu stop bus), in here you can choose bus PO Puspa Indah direction Jombang / Kediri via Pujon and ask turn at Patung Sapi (Cow Statue) and the fee around 15.000 IDR. Another alternative, you can choose Angkot BNK route Batu – Ngantang – Kasembon; This angkot red color, this angkot pass to Pujon. Duration to get to junction of Pujon need 30-45 minutes, for this angkot to Pujon just pay around 7.000 IDR (0.70 USD).

After that you can walk around 500 meter to register or pay ticket entrance to Coban Rondo waterfall. Then should walk around 4 km. Simple way, you can hire ojek Motor bike taxi driver, the price in ojek base already fix one way 20.000 IDR (2 USD) and because that place in the middle of forest. Just ask the driver ojek to pick you up. Just tell him what’s time he should pick you up and meet in parking area. 40.000 IDR (4 USD) for return to the ojek. No signal in this place, one hour is enough if just want to enjoy the waterfall.

Note: Most people suggestion to Coban Rondo better use bus Kediri via Pujon, because this bus is not ngetem (waiting passengers in some spots and not long time stop in Terminal Batu waiting passengers). Different like, angkot, stop to waiting passengers to long time. Your choice.

Short Itinerary When Holiday in Bandung

Find your time to visit Bandung or take your little time while you holiday in Indonesia to visit Bandung. Many reasons you should visit Bandung, because Bandung is the heaven of nature to enjoy your time and pleasure with the nature and beautiful adventure you will know and love it. When you visit Bandung.

Bandung is famous with the mountain and wonderful view of nature here. You will love it to adventure which place you want to visit while you go there. This is not the only local tourist but also international tourist which love to stay in Bandung long time to explore step by step the mountain, nature and also the delicious culinary here. Bandung is the best time to get fresh from the routine activity and feel peace when adventure in the “wild and beautiful nature”.

From Jakarta air port choose Damri Bus with direct station Gambir, this is station train. The cost around 55.000 IDR. Jakarta – Bandung you can ask the ticket in the locket of train ticket in Gambir Station. Then you can continue with the public transportation to find hostel or hotel at Bandung. Good place is around the Braga Street or station to make you easy find way to holiday in Bandung if you want to use public transportation there. Braga street is nice place to enjoy night culinary here.

As long as you in Bandung, you can use public transportation, rent motor bike or car as your transportation to adventure in Bandung. For the best place to stay in Badung, here a lot of hotel and hostel to stay. The cheaper till expensive you can choose as the budget to stay. Vredeburg Fortress doesn't separate with Kasultanan Jogjakarta. The born of the Kasultanan Jogjakarta begin from Giyanti agreement which is the VOC (Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie) intervention. The VOC want to divide the Mataram Kingdom become two parts, named Kasunanan Surakarta and Kasultanan Jogjakarta.

After separated, the Kasultanan Jogjakarta was led by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono I. He was built the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace soon. The quick establishment of the palace make fearful for the VOC. This condition make the VOC want to build a fortress to control the development of palace.

At first, the name of Vredeburg Fortress is Rustenberg Fortress. Rustenberg means resting place. At 1765 - 1788, this building was completed by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono I permission and the name has changed become Vredeburg. It means the reconcilement fortress. At 1760 - 1830, Vredeburg was changed function to fortification fortress. At 1830 - 1945, Vredeburg Fortress was used to the Holland and Japanese camp militaries. After 1977, the fortress was resigned by the government. Daoed Yoesoep as the Education and Culture Ministry by the permission Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX as the owner of the palace, Vredeburg Fortress as the center of information and development of National Culture at August 09^th 1980.

The building shape is a square. In four corners of fortress, you can find seloka which are function as the controlling room. The internal building was adapted with the new function as the museum. Vredeburg Fortress has many buildings collection. The collections are jagang or the ditches / gutters; bridges; walls or beteng in Javanese; gates; and the middle part of the building like a hall or barn which is function as soldiers shed.

The museum also has collections, which are real, not imitation. The collections have direct role in a historical moment, a development of history, science and technology development and the development of culture. The collections are households, clothes, kitchen equipments, weapons, manuscripts, etc. This museum also has the photo collections, miniatures, replicas, the paintings, and the many visualization and miniramas. Miniramas is the description of history moment with three dimensions display. Now, Vredeburg Fortress Museum has totally 55 miniramas which are set up on four rooms.

Let’s talking the way get to North Bandung with public transportation (angkot). Let’s start from ST Hall to Ledeng Terminal or Lembang Terminal. It depend on what do you want to see first. If you want to go to Bossca Observatory, you don’t need to stop in Terminal Ledeng, just asking a driver to turn you in Bosscha Observatory gate (gerbang Bossca). You just need pay for the transportation 8.000 IDR – 10.000 IDR. The journey from Station Hall Terminal to The Gate of Bosscha need around 45 minutes if not crowded and traffic jam. Don’t worry transportation ST Hall – Lembang easy to get and much transportation to this destination then other transportation to the Luewi Panjang. Normally, the ST Hall-Lembang will pass Bosscha Observatory; Strawberry garden; but if you won’t to visit Bosscha, just want the Tangkuban Perahu Mountain be your first place visit in North Bandung. Bosscha Observatory

Bosscha Observatory is the oldest observatory in Indonesia. The observatory is located in Lembang, West Java, approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) north Bandung. It is situated on a hilly six hectares of land and is 1.310 m (4.300 feet) above mean sea level plateau. The IAU observatory code for Bosscha is 299.

Inside Bosscha building, you can see a few large telescopes, they are: Zeiss double refractor and Schmidt telescope or Bima Sakti telescope. Plus many things you could look there. Bosscha Observatory is Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences - Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB). Bosscha Observatory is a research institute with specific programs. Equipped with various support facilities, this Observatory is a research and development center for astronomy in Indonesia.

This place is open to public only on Saturday, but for the group on Tuesday until Friday. If you just want to see the outside building that’s OK. But you can’t entrance the inside building. But the view is so wonderful. On Saturday to see this place just need pay 20.000 IDR to get entrance inside building.

This telescope is mainly used to observe visual binary stars, conduct photometric studies on eclipsing binaries, image lunar craters, observe planets (Mars, Saturn and Jupiter) and to observe comet details and other heavy bodies. The telescope has two objective lenses with a diameter of 60 cm (24 in) each and a focal length of 10.7 m (35 ft).

The Schmidt telescope (nicknamed: Bima Sakti telescope)

This telescope is used to study galactic structure, stellar spectra, asteroid studies, supernovae, and to photograph heavy bodies. The main lens diameter is 71.12 cm (28.00 in), the correcting bi-concave and convex lens is 50 cm (20 in) with a focal length of 2.5 m (8.2 ft). It is also equipped with a spectral prism with a prime angle of 6.10 degrees for stellar spectra, a wedge sensitometer and a film recorder.

The Bamberg refractor

This telescope is used to determine stellar magnitude, stellar distance, and photometric studies of eclipsing stars, solar imaging, and others. It is equipped with a photoelectric photometer a 37 cm (15 in) lens diameter and a 7 m (23 ft) meter focal length.

The Cassegrain GOTO

This was a gift from the Japanese government. This computer controlled telescope can automatically view objects from a database and this was the first digital telescope at Bosscha. The telescope is also equipped with a photometer and spectrometer-spectrograph.

The Unitron refractor

This telescope is used for observing hilal, lunar eclipse, solar eclipse and sunspot photography, and also other objects. Lens diameter is 10.2 cm (4.0 in) and a focal length of 150 cm (59 in).

Beside the wonderful tea farm, there is something hiding in the south Bandung. That is Kawah Putih. The mountains south of Bandung offer magnificent scenery, a rolling evergreen landscape of neatly cropped tea bushes. Kawah Putih is a volcanic crater that has a beautifully colored lake. Usually Turquoise, the lake has a serene atmosphere with the sun reflecting off the gemstone colored surface as the steam drifts idly by.

Another one, when you visit South Bandung, Patenggang or Situ Patengang. Situ Patengang is a natural lake located in the tea plantations Bali Ranch. Tourism is the tube cool and fresh, very far away from pollution. On the edge of the lake there are many boats which can be rented to tourists around the lake. Do you like strawberry? Want picking it by your self. This is the place you can do it. There many Strawberry Gardens in Ciwidey along the way to Kawah Putih. You can handpick your own fresh strawberries straight from the many gardens, and the best part is Picking strawberry and eat them in the good athmospare in the mountain is perfect way to do it in your holiday time.

Tips to traveling

Visiting this place is better in the morning until afternoon time, because in the afternoon the fog had come down normally. The fog is very dense there patengan visibility even be only 1-2 feet away so it will not look anything sight.

Don’t go in the rain season in Indonesia, normally rain season in Indonesia in October until December. Transition Period Rain Season and Summer Season around March-April. But because the warming global, the weather can’t be prediction but most of rain will be heavy in December. If you lucky you also can get sunny day in December too. But it is not guarantee.

We start from Bandung Hall Station, from here choose a mini bus (mikrolet) ST-Hall – Luewi Panjang, the cost around 10.000 IDR ($1 US), or whatever your position just go to Luewi Panjang Terminal (Bus Station Luewi Panjang). After you arrive in Bus Station Luewi Panjang, find elf (the ugly transportation without name) the transportation just had write Luewi Panjang – Ciwidey. People call this transportation Elf or L300. Just asking bus Ciwidey. After you get bus direction to Ciwidey, the journey need around 50-90 minutes the cost you used this Elf around 12.000 IDR. That is depend on traffic jam but if you are not traveling on weekend that is just need around 45-60 minutes only (an hour).

The transportation will go when the passengers already full. So just find the nice seat near the window. Because it good access to get fresh air and not feel so hot. In 30 minutes by this transportation you can see the wonderful view of the mountain. The feeling so hot and tired in the transportation will gone when you can see the view and your mind just focus when you will be arrive to the terminal Ciwidey.

Because this public transportation some passengers maybe will bring many stuff, the local people sometimes shopping in the city and sell stuff in their village, so will be many stuff there. So just be patient until you get the terminal ciwidey. To get to Kawah Putih area has two alternatives by Ojek or public transportation (angkot). If ojek you should ask the ojek with the pay around 30.000 IDR. The first the ojek will offer the price up but you should negotiation until 30.000 IDR, depend on your bargain. The way goes to this place around 30 minutes. The ojek will bring you near the ticket box to get you to go to Kawah Putih with the ontang-anting.

Other transportation is public transportation metromini with the yellow color with the name Situ Patenggang - Ciwidey the price around 10.000 IDR to get to gate of Kawah Putih. You just need walk around 5 minutes from the billboard Kawah Putih in the left side. Then you can see the ticket box entrance. When arrive in the box ticket. The ticket is 50.000 IDR plus ontang-anting 15.000 IDR so you can get to Kawah Putih 65.000 IDR (6.50 USD). If you can show the passport to the ticket Box you can get discount 5 percent. The employee will give you the ticket and you can go to the line and waiting Ontang-Anting full to bring you go to Kawah Putih.

Ontang-Anting will go when passengers already 13 people, if the people still not full the ontang-anting will not go (depart). If you don’t have time to wait long time, you can walk around 5 kilometers or charter the ontang-anting around 100.000 – 120.000 IDR.

Kawah Putih area is not very big, but it very special in it is the blue water, especially under hot sun and sometimes the color can change to be green. Depend on the weather in this area. The weather in the Kawah Putih can’t be prediction, sometimes the weather changes to be rain soon but suddenly just became under hot sun; sometimes hot sun became raining). But don’t worry about the weather, in this area some people offer you to rent an umbrella.

When already in Kawah Putih area, you can find the a warning board that suggest tourist to remain at Kawah Putih for merely 15 minutes, because the sulphur (sulfur) smell so strong if you near the lake of White Crater (Kawah Putih). The view is magnificently stunning. You can see the mountain around the lake, it sound like mountain become the wall to keep the lake safety. The white sands and also the rocks become white near the lake. Sometimes you can see the sulfur lake get boil and smoke. That is so magical. If you are lucky the wind flow not much to make sulfur get everywhere, so you can stand there for a long time without mask or with mask. Normally people can stay there around 30 minutes.

If got headache or problem just go to up first and breathe the fresh oxygen and then turn stairs to see the lake again. Don’t make yourself become danger because of the sulfur smell so strong. If you still need to longer see the wonderful view of Kawah Putih. Let’s explore the view and this area is not so big but You can find something different inside your mind, feel so peace.

This Becak on Java | One of Indonesian transportation

Public transportation is very important in every country. Because without public transportation will difficult to do daily activity to go to other destination. Indonesia also has public transportation. Transportation is a necessity that can’t be separated in their daily lives. That is why human daily activities could not be separated from transport, be it human itself, goods, pets, mail, and others.

Although Indonesia public transportation still far from comfortable zone but this transportation very helpful for people who don’t have own transportation to do their activity, including tourist who want to be backpacker to visit every part islands in Indonesia.

Let’s introduce you kind of public transportation in Indonesia, but not all cities or area in Indonesia has same kind transportation.

DELMAN

Delman is a traditional means of transportation on animal powered by the horse. Delman has wheels 2, 3 and 4. From the past until now delman has the same shape, although some are replacing the wheels with tires. Delman is now used as a transport environment within a short journey or a major character in the rural regional inter-village.

However, in some areas, especially the tourist area, Delman allowed to operate, by following the rules of hygiene such as urban reservoirs for horse manure. To that end, Delman are numbered as in the numbering of motor vehicles issued by the Local Government.

For Delman just has in Java area, in other place in Indonesia like Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and other island in Indonesia, That city don’t have delman as public transportation. Another name for Delman, that is Andong and Dokar, the different just for wheels.

BECAK | Becak Paddle and Becak Motor

Becak is one public transportation which still exist till this time. Becak is the three-wheel mode of transportation that generally found in Indonesia and some of Asia. Becak fit two passengers comfortably and possibly even more, depending on the size of the passenger. There is some protection from the sun and a plastic sheet that comes down over the front helps protect passengers during rainstorms.

Every city has different style of becak. Becak also has different style depend on the town/city in Indonesia, the most becak can find in Java and Sumatera. For example Becak with the driver behind passengers, find in Java, becak with the driver seating side passengers can find in Sumatera.

Becak also has two sub-kinds that is the paddle becak (becak that used the bicycle as the rudder) and Motorized becak (becak that used the motorcycle as the rudder).

OJEK

Ojek is a unique land transportation or you can call motorbike taxi. At least there are only a few state transportation and even then only in some area. Ojek is a transportation that used the motor as the vehicle and carry 1 to 2 passengers.

Ojek don’t have some specification companies or institutions that deal. Ojek does not have specification route and the cost different in each place. There is ojek transportation can find in some cities and in small areas. Speed, low cost and practical advantages of ojek.

Ojek are not protected when rain and heat. By law and protected all motorcycle passengers should wear helmets. Then ojek drivers should have a spare for you to wear. Ojek tend to congregate at t-junctions on main roads and near smaller roads that are not serviced by bus routes.

OJEK SEPEDA

Ojek sepeda is mean bike and this is rarely to seen. This transportation just has in areas of Jakarta outside Kota and Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta. Ojek Sepeda “bicycle taxis” operate much like ojek, except for shorter distances.

ANGKUTAN KOTA (Angkot)

Many name for Angkutan Kota (Angkot) public transportation in Indonesia. This transportation is small vans or mini buses that serve set routes on smaller main roads. The Angkor seat around 9 – 12 people, depending on the type and the payment depend on the distance.

Some city used direction name place or number. For example in Bandung, they used destination like ST Hall – Lembang. In Jakarta, they used number for direction. For example M44 to direction Kampung Melayu – Casablanca – Karet Tengsin. The point is every city in Indonesia has different clue for angkot. In some city such as Makassar, angkot not only offer a route to around the city. Some angkot also offer cross-town or cross-city for their route. Usually they have different color, example like blue for city route and red for cross-town, including the name angkot for every city different.

Angkot doesn’t have bus stop, it can stop everywhere depends on passenger’s destination. To stop just say kiri (key re), which means ‘left’ because in Indonesia we ride on the left side. For other way, you can knock the roof or ring the bell if they provide it in the back. This situation makes some traffic jam, moreover if angkot stop for a long time to take more passengers, which we know it as ngetem. Sometimes it takes 10 or even 30 minutes depends on how many passengers the driver wants to find. The price angkot cheaper and the price depend on short way or long way. But all the price angkot the government make the rule.

BEMO

This transportation little noisy and also used vehicle, that is name is the bemo. Which is ued for local transportation in limited areas in Jakarta. Bemo are found in and near Benhil, Tanjung Priok, Kramat Jati (some Jakarta area) and other areas outside Jakarta.

BAJAJ

Bajaj in Indonesia has color bright orange and the sound is very noisy. These traditional transportation vehicles became popular in India where they were developed with Vespa and later imported to and built in Indonesia. Similar vehicles are known as rickshaw in Africa, Tuk-Tuk in Thailand and MotoTaxi in Peru.

Bajaj seat two passengers comfortably and up to four passengers - depending on the size of the passenger of course. Their areas of operation are limited to one mayoralty in the city. On the side of the driver's doors you'll see a big circle in which the area is designated. The drivers are not allowed to go out of their area and aren't allowed onto many main roads, so routes may be a bit circuitous.

There is some protection from the rain, unless it's blowing hard. You'd think you'd have to be careful about robbery since the vehicle is so open. But it's not as common as robberies in buses.

Government around 2006 has new version of Traditional Bajaj that’s with light blue color, less noisy, less smoky and more comfortable when compare with the old one. Because Bajaj BBG use natural gas and environmentally friendly.

BIS (BUS)

There are a large number bus companies servicing routes in big city. That is like Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta and some part in Indonesia. Many of the larger buses seat around 25-40 people, that is depending on type of bus. The buses have set prices (which should be posted on the bus), some people in Java call bus with Damri bus.

Many kind buses because many private companies and it also include Metro Mini. The price for used this service also different price. Some buses have air conditioned like Mayasari and Patas AC; they are more expensive. Other bus lines are run by cooperatives like Kopaja and Kopami.

All buses have set routes and set fares, but not set schedules. If you're not sure of the fare, ask other passengers what it is. Pay to the conductor, who is usually hanging out the back door. He won't have change for big bills.

Bus passengers are often the target for robberies, street singers, and beggars on the buses and in the major bus terminals. Many bus drivers are notoriously dangerous as they race against each other to try and pick up passengers before the other buses plying the same route. Metro Mini has the worst reputation for poor drivers.

Buses do not necessarily stop at bus stops; they stop wherever they can pick up a passenger be it in the middle of the road or on a busy intersection. Buses do not necessarily come to a complete stop for passengers to get off and on. So be careful as to which foot you step off the bus with! The beginning and end points of each bus route are found on the front and back of each bus, along with a route number. If you don't know which bus to take, just ask the people at the bus stop.

TAXI

Taxi is a popular transport at this time. Almost country can find a taxi, it's just different types of vehicles, rates, system, and comfort. Cab has a different tariff system at any time, it is depending on the mileage goals. This transport is superior because the passenger can request destination anywhere the name is taken from the taximeter taxis, which is a tool that serves to determine the amount of fees to be paid by passengers based on the distance to the goal.

These vehicles are usually in the form of a sedan taxi which has above average comfort. so that passengers can indulge. Different in each country, each has a regulation concerning the working operating cab. But be careful some taxi don’t used taximeter. So ask first if they used it. Especially some taxi in Bandung, they don’t used this taximeter. So just beware, including in Jakarta when in the midnight time sometimes they won’t use taximeter. Ask first before using taxi.

KERETA API (TRAIN)

A computer train (kereta api) runs several times daily from Bogor to Jakarta. These trains are quite simply furnished and often quite dirty. Scores of passengers brave the dangers and seat themselves atop the trains to avoid paying the fares.

Trains to other major cities on Java leave Jakarta from train stations at Gambir, Tanah Abang and Senen. Different classes of service are available, with the first class or executive class being quite comfortable. Some trains are bookable in advance. Trains are a good transportation option for inter-city travel on a budget. Information on train schedules can be found on the kereta api website. The train city to city just exist in Java area only and including some part outside Java like Lampung but this destination rare.

Tugu Monument Malang

Malang is located in Indonesian National Route 23, which connects it to Gempol and Kepanjen. Malang has a large intercity bus terminal, Arjosari, located in northern Malang. The primary means of public transportation is by Microvan (most of them are Suzuki Carry) and has Blue color, but these public transports are not usually known for being comfortable, due to the fact that a many people uses them, thus, mostly leading to a cramped condition inside the angkot.

In front of Malang Mayor city hall, there is a round big garden where Tugu Monument, landmark of Malang stands. This garden is rich of beautiful and colorful flowers, the lotus flower. It was Dutch that built the city of Malang with various city plans. The local people said Alun-alun Bunder (Circle Square) and completed with fountain and pool in the middle of it. Monument Tugu garden was former garden of Governor of East Indies Jan Pietersen Zoen Coen that is surrounded by beautiful garden with lotus. There are old trembesi trees grow here.

Tugu Monument was built on August 17^th 1946 by Tugu Independence committee lead by A.G Soeroto. First stone was laying down by East Java's deputy governor Mr. Doel Arnowo, on July 21^th 1947. The construction of Tugu monument was disturbed because the Dutch colonial came to the town and collapsed on December 23^rd 1948. When we it was authority restitution era from the colonial to the Indonesia's government, Tugu construction committee develop this monument again, it was on June 9^th 1950. On May, 20^nd 1953 or in National Resurrection day the Tugu Monument was inaugurated by president Soekarno.

What time to visit? Malang Tugu Square gives different nuances and views everytime you visit it. The most fitting time to come to this square is in the morning or late afternoon when often there are a lot of people doing sports activities. For you who love adventure, the mountain becomes one of the best destinations in Indonesia you may not miss because it offers you an amazing panorama and unique culture. The viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan can also be reached on foot in about two hours. If you like to hiking, you can walk to get penanjakan 1 or penanjakan 2.

Enjoying a sunrise is the best moment when you visit Bromo Mountain. But, you have to prepare yourself since 03.00 am. to Penanjakan Hill. From the hill, you can see the mountain from above, including Semeru Mountain and Batok Mountain. As the sunrise appears the cloud hanging under the mountain. This condition creates incredible panoramas and mystical nuance. This is such a beautiful natural scenery and you will never bore to stare it. As the sun moves higher, you can get down from the hill to see a wide stretch of sand. The total area is about 15 kilometers squares and in this area, there is a place named as Pasir Berbisik (Whispering Sands).

How to get there:

You can go to Bromo Mountain from Surabaya, Malang or Yogyakarta. The transportation you can use to go to that city, if you are already in Indonesia, you can go there by flight, bus, or train. But if you choose train as your transportation to get to Bromo mountain, you can ask whatever your position to get to Probolinggo. Probolinggo is a port town, particularly for the fishing industry and is the nearest town of any size to Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park. The latter is main reason any tourists local and overseas travel comes here as there is little else of interest.

From the Probolinggo station train, you can continue to Bayu Angga bus terminal (bus stop) by angkot. The angkot which pass the Bayu Angga bus terminal the yellow color, when you out from the gate of train station just take to the right side and make sure that’s angkot pass to the terminal and tell the driver to stop you near Elf or Bison (the other transportation which this angkot just the only angkot which go to Bromo mountain or Cemoro Lawang Village. This transportation is around 4.000 IDR. For the elf or bison, the local people said about this angkot, this elf will go when the angkot full, one person just pay around 35.000 IDR – 40.000 IDR per person. The full elf (mini bus) is 12 people. This elf already operation 08.00 am until 03.00 pm, but the last elf also can be before 05.00 pm. If the elf is not full, then the driver elf will ask for the rent, you can bargain first or negotiation the price is around 450.000 IDR (the end of 2014) per elf to bring you to Bromo mountain or near Bromo mountain, depend on home stay or hotel which one you book or what you want to take. If you don’t want, you can look home stay near terminal bus, but if having a few people also who want go to the Bromo, you can shared the price together with them with the deal with them and the driver. The trip from Terminal Probolinggo to the Bromo mountain or Cemoro Lawang is around 1,5 hours. The way to get this place, you can feel the cold weather and good view.

NOTE : You should out of gate terminal probolinggo, because Elf or bison (minivan bus) which take you to Bromo always stand outside bus terminal. That is in the left if you walk out from terminal. You will see a few minivan bus which stand to take the passengers to go to Bromo Mountain. Be careful with pander which over you service to get you to Bromo, just say NO if you won’t use that service, because they will offer high price.

Every body love to holiday and get lost in the country to find the meaning of life with the travelling. Many people do adventure with many style. Start with the luxury until the backpacker class. Whatever the style the point is having time on holiday.

No Money for adventure does not mean you don't deserve to have fun in your free time, like on weekend. Let's talking about relaxing time to find the freedom day after working hard for long time. No need to go to other country if you don't have money this time to explore the world. But you should have time to relax and find new thing in around you.

Today, we will talk about picnic. This style is cheaper way to have relaxing from the office jobs. Every one love to spend time in out door with good view, talk with someone you love and care, for example your family, kids, lovely boy friend or girl friend, best friends, or relative family. That is cool to spend picnic with them. The way you spend a lot of time in out door, the way you will find the meaning of life, friendship, family, it will make you close to each other.

How to do picnic:

1. Find the nice place

Every country has a nice nature and close to your location, for example park, lake or beach. This best time to go to nice place with family or someone you love to spend weekend on picnic time.

2. Prepare Food

The most amazing on picnic is FOOD. That is right, let's go to the market and find the nice and healthy food to eat on the picnic time. Better simple food and make your tummy full. For example sandwich and snack.

3. Bring Your Nice book or Game

If you go with family that is mean contain the children, bring some game or toy with them will make you more close with the kids. This is the best time to know each after busy and crazy week days at office and no time for family. In picnic time you can play with kids, like if this is good wind you and kids can play knit.

If you go with your wife or husband and still no have children, you can bring book and read when you relax in the good view in park or lake or anything you find it cool to get picnic there.

Is a chance for people across the globe to take part in the world's biggest intervention against cardiovascular disease (CVD). If you are sick, you can’t do anything to find the way your life, to enjoy the beautiful world, nature, sea in every different places with the different magic and view as long as you can see with your own eyes.

To making adventure plan for the short time or long time, you should care your body and especially your amazing machine of heart. God already created us with the magic body which the heart can work perfectly. Our job to say Thank You, just with simple way to keep heart healty. How to keep our heart health always. #Manage Stress

Stress can make our heart work harder than usually, so try not to stress while at work or home. You can find the way to refuse stress in your life. Many ways to make stress gone, one simple enjoy your life whatever it come.

#If you drink alcohol, Drink only in moderation

Better no drink alcohol if you can. If you can’t just drink a little bit and don’t be habit to drink a lot because it is not good to your heart. Drunk will make your day worse and stressful while you already normal and the effect alcohol gone. So, why you need stressful because the alcohol. Let’s drink the healthy drink like water without taste, without color. Pure water is good for your heart and soul.

#Quit smoking

Having friends who love to smoke and making you want to do like them. Let’s move on! Don’t try it because it is not good to your life. As remind me the story from my friend. His daughter was watching one channel television which the content about effect the smoke. That make heart broken so badly if do smoking everyday and his daughter became sad. She was asking her daddy to stop SMOKING because she wants her daddy life long time and she wants to lose her beloved daddy. Then my friend bring his daughter to the beach and throw the box of cigaretes in the beach and said with the loud voice, “This day I will never ever smoke again! Because I want to live forever with my daughter”

That story is true, he said the first time so difficult but he try to his daughter and son. Then, he never smoke again. Congratulation to the people who try to stop smoking. You are the person who know to make your life healthy. No force, No judge but your decision in your own hand.

#Eat healthy and get active

How to make us get strong body and enegery, That is right with food. To make keep healthy and long life we should care about food. Eat the only healthy food. You know that so well. Many ways to eat healthy food. DO YOU LIKE CULINARY TIME? That’s good also I am. I also love to hunting food and try taste delicious food. Healthy food will make your body strong, but don’t forget to keep get active!

Food is everyone desire, try food with many style will open your taste to many adventure of culinary. Indonesia is the biggest Island with many islands around Indonesia. This time Citra Pandiangan will talk about one of traditional snack in Tanjungpinang, Riau Island, Indonesia.

Of course Tanjungpinang famous with sea food culinary, noodles which call about Mie Lendir and many culinary you can try and taste when visit Tanjungpinang. But this time, I just want to share about one snack called Batang Buruk | Let's try in English vocabulary for Buruk is mean bad, ugly, batang is mean bar. Do you want eat ugly bar snack? I guess will say NO why ugly food should be eating. It is just name because the named of this snack has history behind.

Cake Recipes

The ingredients needed to make a cake trunk bad .

Material A :

1 package dumpling skin , cut into customized shapes and rolls.

Oil for fry

material B

150 grams flour green beans ( green beans mashed or made flour first)

150 grams of milk powder

200 grams of powdered sugar ( can be adjusted to taste )

How to make a cake

• Fried dumpling skin which has been rolled up golden , remove and drain until the oil is gone.

• Put the ingredients B until well blended .

• Place dumpling skin that had been fried earlier in the former great , along with the material B mix last until blended.

• Store in a airtight . cake ready to serve.

Holiday is always good moment for everybody. If you like small town and fresh oxygen, better you go to Batu-Malang. Because this place is the cool, fresh hill town. Batu located near Malang, just need around less 1 hours to get there from Malang. Many places you can visit there, but today I want shared about alun-Alun Batu.

Alun Alun, Batu (the centre point of Batu town). A small park in the middle of Batu town, where locals regularly take walks and idle about. The newly re-worked Alun Alun is adorned with representations of pretty much all of Batu's specialties: apples, strawberries, milk-producing cows, rabbits, etc. as booths, lanterns and statues. There is also a decent-sized ferris wheel with Rp.3,000 entrance fee... and a drinking water tap.

The park is quite cool and many people there to enjoy the afternoon till the evening. You also can find the culinary there. This place is good to get relaxing and enjoy the afternoon with reading book and hunting food. There is many local people spend time in afternoon around 3 til 7 pm. Beware this Batu the public transportation just operation till 5 pm only. If you go there with the transportation local. Notice the time.

Seat in the park, looking the kids play water in the park or eating many food there because this is the central of heart Batu. I bet you will love it in Batu.

These pictures were part of my adventure in the end of 2014 and when I closed my eyes I still can feel it just a few hours I spend there. Although in the fact it was far from the month I went here. Keheningan Laut Biru Transparan di Pantai Lombok

Note : The first picture was taken in Lombok beach. I made the title if I translated in English "The silent blue transparency beach at Lombok. Why I make the title like that. Actually make caption or title on picture is more difficult then description about what you see :) Choose the good word to get good title is so difficult. I should learn it time by time in the future. I make the title because, I can see the transparency sea and this beach so rare and I am so happy I ever step my feet in this place.

Photos 2 : Antara Gunung Bromo dan Kabut

The second picture I taken when I was in Bromo Mountain, that was my first time go to this place and I was unlucky to get good sunrise because the weather was not support to get the sun. Although feel disappointed I still keep try where was sun hiding and I got this picture. The title if I translated in English "Between Bromo Mountain and Fog" Actually the first time I wanted make the title was "The Mystery of Fog at Bromo" and also "Bromo is Hiding in Fog" hahaha silly title because I am not good about make caption picture but I should make the title for the picture right?

Photos 3 : Silent Pink Beach

Still wonder about the third my picture. This located still in Lombok Island but different beach. This beach also famous and the name beach is PINK. The named with good reason, you can see the bead in the shoreline is pink.... the sand so smooth like my skin hahah. I really want to back here again one day and I wish I can spend a lot of time to explore every part this beach. The title you already know right because I make it in English. Actually I got a few ideas about the title then I choose this one. Silent Pink Beach. The alternative title I already make was The Morning Virgin Pinky Beach or "Beautiful mix color beach"

Photos 4 : Dibalik ke Indahan Kawah Putih

The fourth pictures or photo I taken when I visited Bandung. The located on Kawah Putih. The place is beautiful but just short time you can do here and not many to do. Although like that this place is so amazing and You will fall in love when visit here and the sulphur make you can't stay there long. That is I make the title of this picture "Behind the Amazing Kawah Putih", actually the first time I made the title "Silent Witness Kawah Putih" but I put many silent for the title so I decided the second the title was good one lol. Why I make the title like that because in the green or sometimes changing become blue lake, many death trees and trees still strong there although no longer alive there but the trees as the silent witness for years about this place.

I was so lucky I ever visited Batu, Malang. Actually when I college I ever went to Malang but not all places I visited it. Because I went there with the member of students in my university. This time, I went there and I like the Batu square, many people but tidy and so I was not wrong if I made the title of my last picture I registered to the contest photo about "Playing in the Batu Square" You can see many people love to spend the dusk in this place.

Most people know Jakarta as well as big city in Indonesia, do you know Surabaya also the big city in Indonesia. So Normally, people in Indonesia know, Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia and though not necessarily a popular place to travel. Honestly, in Surbaya is not much you can see. But if you like the history in Surabaya has Dutch Colonial buildings.

When I visit Surabaya I think here ha
s many attractive tourism places but I am wrong but I am not disappointed because I visit the nice museum and that also offer me to look Surabaya. That is program from Soemporna. They have a view local tours and it is free but we should register first because always full. This tours simple and at least they will bring us to the Dutch Colonial Buildings.

The guide will explain in English so no worry, You will love it and all free. You can visit The House Of Sampoerna. Little bit information about Situated in “old Surabaya”, this stately Dutch colonial style compound was built in 1858 and is now a preserved historical site.

Previously used as an orphanage managed by the Dutch, it was purchased in 1932 by Liem Seeng Tee, the founder of Sampoerna, with the intent of it being used as Sampoerna's first major cigarette production facility.

This complex consisted of a wide central auditorium, two smaller buildings in east wing and occidental and some wide barns with one floor behind central auditorium. The buildings that stay in both auditorium wings is then turned into family house, whereas big barns looks like a warehouse exploited for tobacco and clove processing, to catch, stick it and packing, printing office and finished goods processor.

Today, the compound is still functioning as a production plant for Indonesia's most prestigious cigarette, Dji Sam Soe. In commemoration of Sampoerna's 90th anniversary in 2003, the central complex has been painstakingly restored and is now open to public.

The original central auditorium is now a museum and the east side has been transformed into a unique structure containing a café, a merchandise kiosk and an arts gallery. The building on the west side remains the official family residence.

Museum

House of Sampoerna (HoS) Museum offers a truly unique experience for visitors. From the story of the founding family to closely watching a real hand roll production facility and ending up with an unforgettable experience of rolling a stick of Dji Sam Soe cigarette. You can join 3,900 women in this plant, hand-rolling cigarettes using traditional equipment. They do it at a speed of more that 325 stick per hour.

Shop Museum in HoS offer is assorted souvenirs, such as; the miniature of stick equipment traditional cigarette, package, clove, books and shirt.

Kiosk

Kiosk in House of Sampoerna ready to supply you with various goods choices such as; cup, shirt, jacket, ashtray, hat, bag, etc. This goods suited for used for you also for a souvenir.

Cafe

With Art Deco touch, free creativity glint and the history, cafe offers an experience to dine unique. Ally original tin glass and teak panel carve that aged a century with modern design is cleanness.
