Have "Doubt"

Don't miss the opening weekend performances of the Charleston Community Theater production of "Doubt" at Tarble Arts this weekend. Set in the Bronx in 1964 at the St. Nicholas Church School, Doubt casts the school's beloved priest, Fr. Flynn, against the school's rigid principal, Sr. Aloysius. When Sr. Aloysius comes to believe that Fr. Flynn may have acted inappropriately towards the school's first African-American student, she sets out to destroy his career, believing herself to be on a "holy mission." Only at the end of the play, when the consequences of her actions are fully realized, does Sr. Aloysius come to realize her "doubts." The Tarble Arts Gallery is located at South 9th St. in Charleston on the campus of EIU. "Doubt" dates are Jan. 20-22 and 26-28. For more information call 581-2787 or www.charelstoncommunitytheatre.org.
