MURPHY (February 28, 2011) Starting on March 1 and continuing throughout the month of March, City of Murphy crews will be conducting a city-wide audit of the residential and commercial water measuring system, randomly testing the reliability of some meters and updating the City's database of the measurement devices, according to Customer Services Manager Candy McQuiston.
The review is designed to be part of the City staff's analysis of how the City's Utility Fund plays a role in the annual budgeting process, which begins later this spring. The audit is expected to help clarify the Fund's part in the process.
