		<title>Mayor Jim Suttle's 2013 Neighborhood Grant Applications Now Available</title>

		<summary type="html">&lt;p&gt;The Mayor announced today the 2013 Neighborhood Grants Program. Mayor Jim Suttle has made $80,000 available for the 2013 Mayor’s Neighborhood Grants with a focus on neighborhood improvements, including:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt; Any project creatively designed to improve the
neighborhood’s quality of life, safety, environmental impact, and
livability&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Examples include: Community Gardens, Citizen Patrol
Equipment, Neighborhood Patrol Signage, Tree Purchasing/Planting, Energy
 Efficient Lighting, Benches, Picnic Tables, Play Ground
Equipment&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Neighborhood associations need to complete the 2013 Neighborhood Grant application listed below. Only neighborhood associations registered with the City of Omaha are eligible to receive grant funding (application packet includes Neighborhood Association Directory Application on pages 12 and 13). There is a $5,000 limit per neighborhood association.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;All applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013&lt;/strong&gt;. All neighborhood associations are encouraged to submit applications by email to &lt;a href="mailto:neighborhoodgrants@ci.omaha.ne.us?subject=Mayor%27s%202013%20Neighborhood%20Grant" title="title"&gt;neighborhoodgrants@ci.omaha.ne.us&lt;/a&gt;. Hand delivered or mailed applications will still be accepted but must be in to the Mayor’s Office by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013.
