Keep in mind that the insurance also covers battery replacement. The batteries in these things have a rather short shelf life.

I'll look into the other apps. That is meant for a future post

Welcome to the Borg -- you have been assimilated. I love my iPhone and I too am a PC user. Thanks for the info on the insurance. I think I'll forgo as $150 to insure $399 is not such a great deal.

One of my fav apps is the ToDo by Appigo as it syncs over the air with www.toodledo.com -- great for managing tasks.

Also get Pandora -- a must have app, great commercial free music geared to the music you like

SimplyMedia -- allows you to play all your music from your computer without having to load them on your iphone.

Palringo for chat. Get the facebook app if you have facebook.

I hope 3.0 is a huge improvement. 2.1 is not good in a lot of ways, so lets hope they get it right with 3.0.
