Budget and Levy Training is nearly here

This is a reminder that this year's Budget and Levy Training will be starting next week. There are two sessions:

8:30 - noon for taxing districts and counties
1:30 to 4:00 for county clerks

Bring a pen or pencil and calculator as there are working problems to do during the session. And since we can't control temperatures in our facilities, we suggest you dress in layers.

New Web page lists free income tax help sites by county

BOISE, IDAHO — Feb. 9, 2012 — Senior citizens and low-income taxpayers of any age can find free income tax return preparation sites by going to a new Web page, according to the Idaho State Tax Commission. The sites, sponsored by either the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP) Foundation, are listed together by county. (Read more)
