This workshop is open to all students from Grades 4 upwards with limited places available in both the Intermediate (Grade 4 to Int F) Level and the Advanced (Inter/Adv)Level.
Wim Broeckx has had a long and successful professional dancing career at the Royal Ballet of Flanders, followed by the London Festival Ballet (now English National Ballet) and then the Dutch National Ballet, where he rose to the rank of Principal Dancer. After finishing his dance career he became Assistant Artistic Director to this company. Wim Broeckx went on to become the Artistic Director of The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague for many years as well as appointed the Artistic Director of the prestigious Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland.  Now living in Australia, Wim is much sought after Guest Teacher, teaching regularly for the Full Time Academy of the Tanya Pearson Academy as well as for Queensland Ballet and other schools and workshops nationally and internationally.

Daniel Baker has had a rich and diverse professional dancing career – commencing his professional career with the Miami City Ballet before joining the San Francisco Ballet Company. His career moved into the television and commercial dance arena, performing as a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance and regular Acting work on TV. In 2014 Daniel joined the Twyla Tharp Dance Company where he remained for many years before retiring in 2018, returning to Australia this year.

Cameron has been training full time at The Tanya Pearson Academy since the start of 2016 under Artistic Director Lucinda Dunn and full time teaching faculty. It has been his number 1 goal since joining the Academy to remain dancing professionally in Australia, passing up opportunities to study  overseas and trusting in the training he was receiving at the Academy to pursue this goal.

In 2017 Cameron embraced the opportunity to perform as an extra with the Australian Ballet in their 2017 Sydney season of The Story of Clara. Company and was then offered the opportunity to perform as The Prince in their recent touring season of “StoryTime – A Sleeping Beauty”.

Some of Cameron’s recent highlights whilst being at the Tanya Pearson Academy include winning the 2017  Cecchetti International Ballet Competition in Florence, being Runner Up Winner of the 2017 Sydney Eisteddfod Senior Ballet Scholarship, being overall winner of the 2017 Alana Haines Competition in NZ. In September 2017 Cameron also performed Le Corsaire Pas de Deux at the Sydney City Youth Ballet’s season of TOGETHER LIVE.

In addition two of our Academy part time students – Mia Atkinson and Lucelle Davis will be performing in ALICE as “hedgehogs”. What a tremendous experience for all.
