I still have some work to do but I am so happy with how it is turning out and I can't wait to continue working on it and making it more and more my home! I hope ya'll enjoy :)

It is no secret how much I love jewelry, and finding a place to get great quality jewelry at an affordable price is hard to find.. until I found Benevolent Jewels. They have some of the most beautiful pieces of jewelry at such a reasonable cost I can get all the latest trends without breaking the bank. Not to mention every three months they partner with a new organization to give 20% of their proceeds during those months to that organization! If there jewels weren't beautiful enough the amount that they give back makes me that much more excited to purchase my jewelry from them!

I was so excited to get this necklace in the mail from the wonderful team at Benevolent Jewels and knew it would be a perfect piece for the spring and for Valentine's Day! I don't know about you but once Christmas and New Years are over my head immediately goes into Valentine's Day mode and this piece is perfect to add a touch of pink to any outfit!

I hope you will all take a look at their website to see their beautiful jewelry!

{Menswear Monday}

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 27 Jan 2014 14:38:00 +0000

Whats not to love about a classic button up/pullover combo on a guy! It is seriously annoying how handsome my amazing boyfriend is! I always feel a bit of jealousy after I take these photos because he takes great photos so effortlessly. Like usual this one is head to toe Jcrew!!

Wow, until linking what was in this outfit I didn't realize it contained all JCrew! Hello my name is Lauren and I have a problem (the first step is admitting it right??). Today is the last day of my three ways post on how to wear your white jeans in the winter! Pairing them with a classic chambray shirt is probably the easiest and most versatile look for your white jeans.

{Menswear Monday} Shades of Navy

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 20 Jan 2014 13:29:00 +0000

This in a nutshell captures my boyfriend perfectly! Itsn't he a cutie!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! It was nice to just relax and unwind from the week plus the Broncos are going to the superbowl!!!! I am originally from Colorado so I am beyond thrilled that they are heading New Jersey to (destroy) play the seahawks!

This is a typical Church/date night outfit for Garrett. I found these dress shoes for him at Aldo for his birthday and instantly knew he would get lots of wear out of them! Paired with dark jeans and a jcrew washed shirt you can see how to pair all of your navy into one outfit!! Just like for girls coral and navy are a great combination for guys too!

Have a great week!

{Three Ways to Wear } White Jeans in the Winter

Sweater {Jcrew Factory, Love this one} Vest {Jcrew Factory, Navy version} Jeans {Jcrew, Here} Flats {Jcrew Factory, Love these} Purse {Longchampe, Here } Necklace {Purple Peridot, Here}

I love this outfit! I mean who doesn't love mixing a comfy sweater with the coveted Jcrew vest! Pairing it with my white jeans makes it an easy way to wear your white jeans in the winter while still being warm and toasty for those brisk nights we get in Charlotte!

I am also really obsessed with this Purple Peridot necklace lately. I find myself wearing it almost daily because of its clear backing you can pretty much wear it with any colored outfit, plus it is a great layering piece when you want a chunkier look to dress up a basic outfit!

I hope you all are having a fabulous week!! Thanks for reading!

{Three Ways To Wear} White Jeans in the Winter

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 14 Jan 2014 15:25:00 +0000

I am a firm believer that you can wear white any day of the year! If Jenna Lyons says you can then you can! This week and next I will be showing you how to style your white jeans into the winter! Pairing a buffalo plaid flannel and cheetah print heels made this outfit easy to transition from day to night! I also think it is important to add a pop of color to a basic outfit. And yes at 24 years old pink is still my favorite color!

{Menswear} Monday

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 13 Jan 2014 14:15:00 +0000

Todays Menswear Monday features a much more casual look from my handsome man! Again I would like to mention how jealous I am of how effortlessly he can put an outfit together and rock it without much thought at all! I snagged this heavy weight flannel shirt for him while I was home for Christmas at Jcrew Factory for only $15! It was such a bargain and I might just have to steal it back for a post one day for myself!!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are ready for a great week ahead!

{Beanie} Love

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 08 Jan 2014 13:36:00 +0000

The much colder temps here in North Carolina have had me wearing all the winter accessories I own and this beanie is one of my favorites! Who doesn't love a good neon pink hat to make a basic outfit pop?!

Not to mention this necklace is quickly becoming a staple piece in my collection! You can pretty much wear it with just about any outfit and it easily layers with multiple necklaces! I still find it hard to believe that it is Christmas Eve!! Where has this year gone?! The holidays are the perfect time to pull out sequins. Pairing them with Christmas plaid seems only appropriate for Christmas Eve Service at church. I love the contrast of the plaid and polka dots to really make the sequins pop! Not to mention I snagged these gold Jcrew wedges that I have been lusting over at the Lynchburg Clearance store back in November for under $50!! Talk about a steal.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas spent with your family and friends!! I am so thankful for each and every one of you :)

{Menswear} Monday

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 23 Dec 2013 19:36:00 +0000

Todays Menswear Monday post is styling for a Christmas Eve church service or dinner! Garrett wanted to show how this outfit can be done two different ways either with a basic pair of chinos or dark jeans. What I love about this look is it contains items that every guy should own, a good pair of dark jeans, navy chinos, a nice cardigan, a jcrew button down and a great pair of dress shoes.

I can't believe Christmas is only two day away! I made the trip home to Pennsylvania for the holidays and am so excited to spend time with my family! There will be lots of cookie baking, gift wrapping and last minute shopping being done while I am home! I hope each and everyone of you has a very Merry Christmas!

Holiday Party Blog Collab {Little Blonde Book}

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 18 Dec 2013 13:34:00 +0000

Today I am teaming up with Taylor from Little Blonde Book to show our holiday party styles! If you haven't checked out her adorable self then you are seriously missing out! She is quickly becoming one of my favorite bloggers with a serious eye for fashion!

I am heading home to Pennsylvania for Christmas so my outfit had to be fun yet practical for the cold I am about to be in! If you have followed my blog at all in the past then you know how much I love to mix patterns and textures to see what works! This is a perfect example of making a summer dress transition into winter with a touch of plaid! I love this Jcrew shirt for its ability to work with so many different looks and the plaid plays great with the holidays! I am always a sucker for sequins and when better of a time to bring them out then during the holidays! Mix the two together and you get one great combination. Paired with black tights and heels and you are ready to party!

{Menswear} Monday

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 16 Dec 2013 13:56:00 +0000

I have decided to start doing a weekly post on menswear! My handsome boyfriend dresses better then me most days so why not have him show some guys out there how it is done! He can make just about anything look great from a t-shirt to a tux. I envy his ability to pair classic and edgy items together to make it his own.

I am so excited to start this weekly post and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! I have always found guys who take pride in what they wear a very attractive quality. As much thought as I put into what I wear it is nice to see guys who notice and do the same!

Have a great monday!!

Holiday Gift Guide: All Things Gold

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 10 Dec 2013 14:42:00 +0000

Like most of the female population I cannot get enough gold right now! Whether it is home decor, clothing, accessories or beauty products I find myself drawn to anything and everything that is gold. I think around half of the items on my christmas wish list contain some aspect of gold in it!

{Piper Jane}

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 05 Dec 2013 13:25:00 +0000

Shirt {Jcrew, on sale!}

Vest {Jcrew, in some stores}

Jeans {Banana Republic, here}

Shoes {Jcrew Factory, here}

Purse {Michael Kors, gift}

I would like you all to meet this sweet little girl, Piper! She is my boyfriends adorable puppy that I absolutely adore! She is the sweetest pup in the world and can turn your terrible day right around as soon as she sees you, thanks to an adorable little wiggle that she has!

As you can see the vest is upon us again! I can not get enough of it. The weather in Charlotte has been like a roller coaster and this vest seems to be the most appropriate piece to wear through it all! I am always a sucker for a good black and white combo and this Jcrew shirt was the perfect choice for that as well as a little pattern mixing fun!

Holiday Gift Guide: {The Guy in your life}

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 04 Dec 2013 13:32:00 +0000

I have decided to start my Holiday gift guide series! Today post is all about guys! The possibilities are really endless when you need a good gift for the guy in your life. Whether you like to give clothes, accessories, personalized items or funny things I had a hard time shrinking this list!

Polka Dots & Leather

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 25 Nov 2013 14:47:00 +0000

Dress {Forever 21}

Jacket {Tj Maxx, in stores}

Booties {JustFab, Here}

Necklace {Groopdealz}

Maybe it is just me but I have been loving swing dresses these days! They pair perfectly with a jacket, or dressed up with tights. With Thanksgiving this week this dress is perfect to mask all of the turkey and mashed potatoes I plan to inhale! It gives me enough room to move and not feel like I cant indulge in that extra piece of pie (holiday meals don't count, right?!).

I hope you are all having a fabulous start to your holiday week! Let the christmas music start playing and decorating begin!

One Shirt {Three Ways}

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 14 Nov 2013 12:39:00 +0000

For my last post featuring this Joe Fresh blouse I went for something much more casual. I fell in love with this lips sweatshirt at Forever 21 and knew I wanted to pair it with a white button down during the fall. As I have said to many times this week, this shirt made the perfect combo. The polka dots added a needed pattern to the outfit and was the perfect weight for the rather warm day we had in Charlotte!

Jeans {Jcrew, Here}

One Shirt {Three Ways}

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 12 Nov 2013 13:35:00 +0000

For day 2 of my three part series featuring this Joe Fresh blouse I went with something dressier. I always love a good excuse to wear a skirt and heels and once again this blouse pairs perfectly with it. I found this skirt in NYC at Necessary Clothing and loved the leather detailing on the bottom, plus the bordeaux color screams fall!

During my visit to NYC last month I was finally able to go to Joe Fresh. I was super excited to see some of their fabulous clothes after seeing them on many of my favorite canadian bloggers! I instantly fell in love with the polka dot blouse seen in todays post! If you know me then you understand my obsession, yes obsession with polka dots. It is one of my clothing weaknesses and this blouse was love at first sight! Because it is quickly becoming a staple piece in my closet for this fall I decided to do a fun three ways to wear pose featuring this shirt!

This is a very typical date night out outfit! My all time favorite black jeans, this amazing faux leather jacket and black heels. If you are on the hunt for a nice but inexpensive faux leather jacket then look no further then Forever 21! This jacket comes in 5 different colors and is perfect for the cooler fall temps. I will take one in every color please!
