Wal-Mart Revised Price Matching Policy

2011-04-29T17:45:00.003-04:00

A HUGE thanks to Sarah for finding this great update from Wal-Mart and sharing it with us all! It appears that Wal-Mart has updated their Ad Match Policy and I am loving these changes! Wal-Mart will no longer require you to bring in the actual ad to get the price matched. These changes are much more clear, concise, and thorough so check out the entire policy here and make sure you print it and include it with their coupon policy :)

Our Ad Match Guarantee

We’re committed to providing low prices every day. On everything. So if you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we’ll match it. Right at the register.

We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*

Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
- Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)
Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified price at a specific retailer
- Example: $2.99
Preferred shopping card advertised prices for specific item
- that are in a printed ad and require a competitor's shopping card for the discount to apply
For fresh produce and meat items
- when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)

*The following are guidelines and limitations:

We will match any local competitor's advertised price.
We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad.
Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)

We DO NOT match the price in the following types of competitor ads:

Items that require a separate purchase to get the ad price
- example: "Buy [item A] to get [item B] for $C"
Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get free product
- example: "Buy both [items A & B] to get [item C] for free"
Items that require a purchase to get a competitors' gift card
- example: "Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card
Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given
Going out of business or closeout prices
Percentage off
- example: "All mascara, 40% off"
Competitors' private label price promotions

We do not honor:

Ads when the actual price for items cannot be determined.
Internet pricing
Misprinted ad prices of other retailers
Competitor ads from outside of the store's local trade territory

Support a GREAT Cause!

2011-04-25T21:57:00.003-04:00

As many of you know I am a BIG fan of Isaiah House Recovery Center that is located in Willisburg, KY. They are a Christian based drug recovery center for men and they are doing God's work. I have a family member there right now and I can tell you that they are changing lives and showing these men the love that is only found in Jesus Christ. They recently had a graduation for several of the men who went through Celebrate Recovery. This was a wonderful experience as they had lunch for all of the families, had 2 of the men share their testimonies, awarded certificates, and presented each of the graduates with Study Bibles. They will have another graduating class here in the next few weeks and they are in need of sponsors for the bibles. The Isaiah House is not federally funded and they rely solely on individuals and churches to help them operate. If they were ever to accept federal money then they would be forced to allow church and God to be "optional." I can tell you that God is not "optional" when you are dealing with recovery and drug addiction. God is the ONLY option for these men who struggle to recover from an addiction that rules their lives. My mom (Pam Kendall) and I have put together a fund raiser to help the Isaiah House purchase Study Bibles for all of the upcoming Celebrate Recovery graduates. I have put together this prize package pictured above and it includes:

Swiffer Sweeper

Swiffer Sweeper Pads

Lysol Neutra Air

Air Wick Freshmatic

Windex

Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets

Palmolive Dish Soap

Soft Scrub Total

Gain Fabric Sheets

Dial Hand Sanitizer

Febreze Set and Refresh

Spic and Span Bathroom Wipes

We are selling chances to win this prize pack at $1.00 a chance. This prize package is valued at around $50.00! If you would like to support a great cause and win a chance to win this pack then you are in luck!! Please mail your check for as many chances you would like ($1.00 each) made payable to: Isaiah House Recovery Center to this address:

Pam Kendall

1326 Gose Pike

Danville, KY 40422

For each chance that you purchase mom and I will enter your name into the drawing that many times. All checks must be received by May 9, 2010 to participate. On behalf of the Isaiah House and the upcoming Celebrate Recovery Graduates I would like to say a huge Thank You!! So much better than coupons :)

2011-04-24T00:50:00.006-04:00

Normally on Sunday mornings you would expect to find a long list of all of the coupons you could find in each of our 3 local papers. This morning there are no coupon inserts in any of the papers due to the Easter holiday. What I have to offer you this morning is SOO much better than coupon inserts, freebies, and even overages...this morning I offer you the hope and the salvation that comes through our RISEN Savior...Jesus Christ. Coupon friends Easter is so much more than candy, bunnies, and eggs. Our God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross to save us from all the evil and dirty sins of this world. He suffered and died on the cross so that we could have everlasting life and be forgiven of our sins. The great news is that this is not the end of the story! Death could not hold Jesus down, he overwhelmed the grave, and our God REINS! There is hope, forgiveness, love, grace, mercy, and eternal life that is only found through Jesus Christ. I leave you with the words of my favorite song this morning as you celebrate the resurrection of our savior and the hope that comes through his death:

Glorious Day

By: Casting Crowns

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises
One day when sin was as black as could be
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin
Dwelt among men, my example is He
Word became flesh and the light shined among us
His glory revealed

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now He’s ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming
One day the skies with His glories will shine
Wonderful day, my Beloved One, bringing
My Savior, Jesus, is mine

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

Happy Easter Everyone!
