ABC Real ltd Complete Cleaning Services

Stone tile is a beautiful and durable building material that has been used for many years all over the country. The problem is when it’s not taken care of properly, its color can be muted or altered, making it less attractive than when it was installed. With a material that can theoretically last as long as stone tile, cleaning is a task that will eventually take its toll unless you use the proper techniques.

Why Stone Tile Fading Occurs
The delicate colors of stone can definitely be altered by the improper use of cleaning chemicals, but there are other factors that can cause stone tile fading, as well. Mopping with dirty solution, using chemicals that are not designed for stone care, and large amounts of direct sunlight can each affect the color of natural minerals within the tile. This causes fading and color changes that most homeowners simply don’t want.

Chemicals used in Stone Tile Cleaning
In the stone maintenance industry, there are two main types of chemicals that are utilized: water-based and solvent-based.

Water-based chemicals are chemicals that contain water and have a pH balance. There are a variety of water-based chemicals on the market such as neutral cleaners, ammonia, and bleach. Basically, this group includes most chemicals that have a pH balance. Water-based chemicals are generally considered more environmentally-friendly than solvent-based chemicals.

Solvent-based chemicals do not contain any water and do not register a pH balance. Their ingredients are only soluble in other solvents. Some examples of solvent chemicals are paint thinners, most penetrating sealers, D-Limonene, and alcohol.

No one cleanser is right for every job. Make sure to carefully read the labels of any product you purchase to make sure that it is recommended for the type of stone that’s in your home.

Proper Stone Tile Cleaning and Care
Stone is a natural material which should be cared for with proper maintenance procedures. The hardness and absorbency of the stone will help decide which chemicals, pads, brushes, and equipment are necessary to maintain the stone.

For day-to-day stone tile cleaning, you should be okay as long as you are using a solution that is approved for the kind of tile you’re working on, and you don’t let that solution get too dirty before you replenish it. If you are moving into a new place that hasn’t been well-maintained, you might consider hiring professionals to come in and clean not just the stone, but other areas of the home, as well.

Cleaning Continuous Surface Stone and Concrete
Stone flooring can be found in both modern and classic construction. When dealing with this kind of surface, you most likely need to take into account the finish and top coating of your floor. Especially when dealing with the concrete flooring that is becoming ever more popular in new homes and condos, using a cleaning solution that is designed for this surface is very important if you want to keep your floor looking its best. Though stone tile cleaning is a fairly straightforward job, a polished and sealed continuous concrete or stone floor will often require a professional hand every once in a while to maintain and protect the surface.

For most surfaces the treatment may involve the following steps:

Pre-sealing – In some cases, to maintain surface as dry as possible

Honing – Using a laboratory-developed and filed-tested combination of abrasive compounds, cleaning agents and grease cutters, the stone surface is gently honed to remove scratches, etches, and wear marks.

Polish – After a thorough rinse following the honing process, special machinery and compounds are used to bring original shine back to treated stone surfaces.

Sealing – One or more coats of special sealant are applied and buffed, to protect against future staining.

ABC Real ltd Complete Cleaning Services

Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, but those who live in glass houses should definitely consider using window-cleaning services.

If you are sick of staring out the window in your home or office and cursing the filthy bird that did its business in a windstorm, why not call in a window cleaning professional.

Do You Need A Professional?

Window cleaning services usually benefit commercial spaces and elaborate houses. These spaces are usually covered with large, hard to reach windows that can only be cleaned by professionals.

What The Pros Do

Window cleaning services can remove any type of filth and grime from your windows whether they are at ground level or on the 52nd floor. Some window cleaning services pride themselves in multi-tasking. Often services that clean windows will also clean out gutters, paint exteriors and apply protective coating various exterior surfaces.

Window cleaning services that specialize in commercial buildings will often use a cherry picker or other power-operated platforms to lift their workers. Window cleaning services for commercial buildings will also often employ window cleaners who are specially trained to hang in harnesses while they clean, swinging from window to window.

Window Cleaning Services – What to Expect

Professional window cleaning will differ depending on whether you hire a window cleaning service to for your home, for a small business or for a large high-rise commercial building.

Step One: Get A Quote

Anyone in the market for clean windows may need to get a few quotes for window cleaning prices before they find a service that suits their budget, but once a reasonable, trusted window cleaning service is discovered it can benefit home and business owners for years to come.

Costs

In all cases a window cleaning service will visit your property to give you a cost estimate. You will then have to review the estimate and decide whether or not to accept the service. If you choose to accept the service you will likely have to sign a contract to ensure payment and the safety of the workers according to all local, state and federal laws set for window cleaning.

Hiring a Professional Cleaner For Your Home

Hiring a window cleaning service one a year can be a good idea for homeowners with two and three-story houses. A window cleaning service can safely access high-up windows with professional equipment so homeowners do not have to put themselves in danger balancing on a ladder with a rag and spray bottle.

Window Cleaning Services – What They Do

Have you ever heard the saying: Cleanliness is next to Godliness? Whether or not you agree with that statement, you will surely agree that a clean environment produces a more pleasing effect to observers than a dirty environment. There is very little good that can be said about dirtiness and this is particularly true when you’re talking about windows.

The Quick Clean: A Catch 22

There is the simple solution of simply cleaning your windows by spraying water on them. An easy answer, this tactic falls under the Catch-22 of pretty much every kind of simple answer – it creates more problems than it solves. When you clean your windows by just spraying water on to it, you have the prospect of leaving your windows with streaks. Also, your windows will not look particularly clean and your windows will give off the impression that you are cheap and are completely oblivious to how your windows should look.

Window Cleaning Services Use The Latest Technology

Additionally, window cleaning services will offer exciting new window cleaning systems such as the Reach Wash System, a cleaning system that is the safest method to cleaning windows while fulfilling its promise of delivering 100% pure water to your windows during cleaning.

Window cleaning services also employ such systems as abseiling and hydraulic lift platforms that allow window cleaners to thoroughly clean your windows, regardless of its height or location. As professionals, window cleaning services offer the safest and most extensive path for you to reach your goal of clean windows.

Window Cleaning Services – What To Ask:

If you are considering hiring a window cleaning service to remove grime from your home or office windows there are a few key things to discuss with the professionals you hire so both workers and the public remain protected.

Questions to Ask Your Window Cleaning Service Provider:

How can you prove to me that you operate within all laws and licensing agreements?

How do you deal with safety issues and do you have procedures in place for rooftop safety and fall protection?

How can you assure me that your workers are properly trained?

How can you prove to me that all of your equipment meets industry standards and is well maintained and regularly serviced?

Will you need to make use of any permanent window cleaning equipment that may be installed on my building’s rooftop?

How long will the cleaning take?

How much will it cost me?

How many people will you employ to do the job?

Is there anything I can do to make the work easier for your crew?

Find The Best Cleaner for YOU

Shop around for various window-cleaning services so that you can compare prices and procedures. You window cleaning professionals will respect that you know what you are talking about and exactly what you want when it comes time to take care of window cleaning.

Knowing the right questions to ask will ensure that you receive thorough service that is done properly with the least possibility of unexpected problems.

Window Cleaning Prices

Window cleaning prices will differ depending on the company and the building that they are dealing with. Equipment, staffing and effort all play into the cost of window cleaning and therefore any windows that are easily accessible will be less expensive to have professionally cleaned than those that are on the 63rd floor.

Usually the least expensive window cleaning services come from self-employed window cleaners and small window cleaning companies. These companies get their business from small business owners who pay the window cleaning service to periodically clean their storefront windows. These small window-cleaning outfits can usually provide lower quotes for window cleaning prices because they use few staff and little equipment. A storefront window can usually be cleaned by one window cleaner with just a bucket, scrubber, rag and squeegee.

Cleaning Prices For Residential Homes

Window cleaning prices for residential homes can differ depending on the number of windows and whether the home is two or three-stories. Some residential window cleaning services will use high-tech equipment to lift workers off the ground to reach high-up windows while others will use conventional window cleaning methods or power-washers to get the job done. The less dangerous and strenuous the job is, the less the homeowner will pay for the service.

Cleaning Prices For Commercial Space

Window cleaning prices for commercial buildings can be high, but this is to be expected. Typically cleaning a large office building requires heavy equipment like power-operated platforms or cherry pickers to elevate workers and a crew of specially trained window cleaning professionals who have been certified to clean windows at great heights. The cost of window cleaning services for commercial buildings factors in the difficulty and danger of the job as well as the number of people that need to be paid to do the job.

Tile and grout can be found more and more frequently in the kitchen as well as in the bathroom. So it's not just the bathroom where you are going to find tile and grout anymore. Since this material is finding more use throughout the rest of the home, it only stands to reason that you want to learn how to clean it—here's how.

ABC Real ltd Complete Cleaning Services

Your kitchen may have a significant portion of its area covered in tile and grout—that’s common nowadays. The tile and grout plan can look great on a kitchen floor, walls, and countertop backsplash but you do need to be aware of how to effectively and efficiently clean it. Let’s face facts here, the kitchen isn’t exactly a room that can stay clean very easily is it? Kitchens need to be cleaned on a regular basis for them to really be clean. If you want the tile and grout in your kitchen to stay clean and looking great, then you need to clean it on a regular basis and use the proper techniques.

The tile itself is super easy to clean and doesn’t take too much scrubbing. If the tile is on the floor, you just need to mop the floor with soapy water and let it air dry. When cleaning backsplash tile, you just need to use a rag instead, and make sure that you really wipe down the tile surfaces to remove any stains or mysterious substances.

A word of advice, though, as you clean your kitchen’s tile and grout—it is strongly advised that you use bleach as your cleaning agent. The reason for this is that bleach is going to help you kill and remove any germs, mold, bacteria, or other forms of general yuckiness that you may not easily see. However, if you are going to use bleach to clean then you are going to want to conduct a close inspection of the tile.

Once the tile and grout dries, if you happen to see a thin film on the tiles, then you need to rinse again. This is because as bleach dries, it can leave a powdery film that can present a serious health risk to you and your family. To prevent this health risk, while still being able to use the strength of bleach to help you clean and sanitize your floors, rinse your kitchen tile and grout as often as necessary to make sure that you have removed the bleach residue. Often this entails about two to three rinse cycles before it has been accomplished.

Cleaning your grout—the cement that holds the tiles together—is often more of a project since it takes a few more specialized tools. Begin by putting on a pair of latex gloves since you are going to be using some harsh abrasive materials, and you might just want to keep your hands nice and clean. Next, if your grout isn’t particularly dirty, you can use regular grout cleaner. However, if the grout is particularly dirty or grimy you are going to want to use a more heavy-duty grout cleaner, which can be purchased at any local department store.Once you have your cleaner, spray some of it onto the grout, and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, you are going to take a stiff brush, or a grout brush, and scrub at the grout. Something that you will need to remember is that you may need to spend a lot of time scrubbing a small particular section of grout in order to get it completely clean; don’t settle for semi-clean grout, but rather persevere until your grout is completely clean. After you’ve done the initial scrub, rinse the grout then spray hard-to-clean spots with an intense bleach cleaner and let it sit for about ten more minutes. This “bleach rinse” ensures that the mold, mildew, and bacteria are completely killed.

Finish off the job by doing one more intense scrub with the scrub brush, rinse, and you’ll be good to go! If you want to keep your grout clean and sparkling, then apply some grout sealant to protect it and do minor cleaning touch ups every now and again to make sure that the grout stays fresh and clean.

Decorating eggs is a traditional craft practiced by families and artisans around the world. Some use decorating methods handed down over generations, such as the elaborately decorated pysanky of Slavic nations or the cascarones of Mexico. Others invent new ways to embellish their eggs each year — painting them, writing on them, turning them into funny faces, or trimming them with odds and ends from around the house. Many folks, though, prefer their eggs simply dyed in a rainbow of hues. For both children and adults, it can be fascinating to see the effects of dipping the eggs into different colored dyes.

You can decorate either hard-cooked eggs or empty eggshells. Hard-cooked eggs are a bit sturdier for children to use, while empty shells are best if you’re making an egg tree or want to keep the eggs on display for a considerable time. To dye your eggs, use commercial egg dyes, food coloring or dyes you make yourself from foods and spices. According to the American Egg Board, homemade natural dyes are easy to prepare and go well with all-natural eggs.

Simply toss your choice of a handful — or two or three — of one of the materials below into a saucepan. For spices, try a spoonful or two instead. Use your own judgment about quantity. This is an art, not a science. Add about a cup of water for each handful, so the water comes at least an inch above the dyestuff. Bring to boiling, reduce the heat and simmer from 15 minutes up to an hour, until the color is the shade you want. Keep in mind that the eggs will dye a lighter shade than the dye. Remove the pan from the heat.

To achieve the following colors, try these natural dye materials:

Pinkish red — Fresh beets, cranberries, radishes or frozen raspberries

Orange — Yellow onion skins

Delicate yellow — Orange or lemon peels, carrot tops, celery seed or ground cumin

Yellow — Ground turmeric

Pale green — Spinach leaves

Green-gold — Yellow Delicious apple peels

Blue — Canned blueberries or red cabbage leaves

Beige to brown — Strong brewed coffee or black tea

Brown-gold — Dill seeds

Brown-orange — Chili powder

Gray — Purple or red grape juice or beet juice

Through cheesecloth, a coffee filter or a fine sieve, strain the dye mixture into a small bowl that’s deep enough to completely cover the eggs you want to dye. Add two to three teaspoons of white vinegar for each cup of dye liquid. With a slotted spoon or wire egg holder from a dyeing kit, lower the eggs into the hot liquid. Let the eggs stand until they reach the desired color. For emptied eggshells, stir or rotate for even coloring. With the spoon or wire egg holder, remove the eggs to a rack or drainer. Allow the eggs to dry thoroughly. Within less than two hours, refrigerate hard-cooked eggs that you intend to eat.

If you’d like a shiny finish, rub the dyed eggs with a bit of cooking oil. You can also use food-safe white glue to add natural decorations, such as beans, seeds, small pasta shapes or large pieces of spices. Be creative and experiment to express yourself in unique ways.

However you decide to color your hard-cooked eggs, follow these tips if you’d like to enjoy their high-quality protein later:

Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the eggs at every step, including cooking, cooling, dyeing and hiding.

If you won’t be coloring your eggs right after cooking them, store them in their cartons in the refrigerator.

Don’t color , hide or eat cracked eggs. And don’t eat eggs that have been out of refrigeration for more than two hours.

When coloring the eggs, use water warmer than the eggs.

Refrigerate the eggs in their cartons right after coloring and refrigerate them again after they’ve been hidden and found.

If you plan to use hard-cooked eggs as a centerpiece or other decoration and they will be out of refrigeration for many hours or several days, cook extra eggs to refrigerate for eating. Discard the eggs that have been left out as a decoration.

…On a Budget!

ABC Real ltd Holiday Decoration Service

First things first. Set a plan or a theme for your Christmas decorating. It doesn’t cost a thing to have a good plan, and when you are working with budget ideas, this is what pulls your ideas together, and makes everything you do look purposeful, and personal. Some theme ideas for Christmas? The rustic lodge Xmas, a toyland Xmas, countries around the world, Victorian, country, Santa, snowmen, old fashioned, the list goes on and on!

Make garlands out of felt scraps. Cut Xmas shapes out of felt in miniature, mini stockings, holly leaves, mittens, and string together with needle and floss or strong fishing line to hang all over the house. Remember when you string each shape, tie a knot on both sides of the shape to hold it in its place. You can add more dimension to the shapes by cutting two of each, stuffing them lightly, them sewing the two together. Glue would work also if you aren’t a sewer. Saved used dryer sheets are perfect for this kind of stuffing, or even tiny fabric scraps that are too small for other uses.

Drop a tealight candle in your cleaned out glass mayonnaise jars, tie a holiday ribbon around the neck, and you have a beautiful candle with Xmas charm. You could nestle the candle in peppermints, nuts, or even sand if you wish. Try grouping several together for a dramatic evening effect. These also make great luminaries.

Start a Christmas collection. This can be a great tradition to initiate in your home. My girls and I starting collecting Santas 3 years ago, and it’s something they look forward to, choosing our yearly Santa together. I know it will be a fond memory for them, and I plan to let each child choose a Santa to take with them when the day comes that they leave the nest and start their own home. By the way, this doesn’t have to be expensive, or even store bought. Try sewing or crafting a new decoration each year together for even more memories! Or check out your dollar store…they have some really cute ceramic holiday decorations for a buck or two. Remember, it’s the memories you’re interested in here, not a collectable based on monetary value.

If you are looking to do a toyland theme for your Christmas decorating this year, try searching out teddy bears and dolls at your local thrift stores. Wash them in a pillowcase and put them in your dryer for at least 20 minutes, then dress them up with ribbons and holiday fabrics. Group them under your tree, on mantels, and on windowsills. Stack small squares of cardboard together and wrap as a tiny present, then tuck them under a teddy’s arm, or wrap an empty box and use it as teddy’s seat by the front door.

Place a few inexpensive glass balls in a bowl and embellish with a few sprigs of greenery or some leftover ribbon. If you don’t have an extra bowl (it is the holidays, after all!) try decoupaging a box with leftover Christmas wrap, or cover with a little fabric and glue.

Take down your pictures and wrap them like a gift, then hang them back on the wall for great holiday cheer! You don’t have to do this all around the house, how about just in the entry, or maybe the dining room?

Tie greens or ornaments to the chandelier with a little Christmas ribbon, just make sure they don’t hang low enough for any candles on the table to catch them on fire.

Make your own gift tags out of leftover paper. Ok, this is not a new idea, but try punching it up a bit. Add details by layering shapes over the base paper, use paper punches and scalloped scrapbooking scissors to add style, use a gold calligraphy pen to add names. Or use the scalloped scissors to make old holiday cards into tags.

Sponge stars or other seasonal shapes on your window with paint! No, I’m not nuts. Just add a teaspoon or so of liquid dish soap to acrylic craft paint, (I like white or gold metallic) and after the holidays you should be able to wash it off with window cleaner. Use a non- scratching dish scrubber if you come across a stubborn spot.

There it is, the 10 best budget decorating ideas for Holiday decorating! Always remember the most important reason we celebrate, and the reason we take the time to make our homes warm and inviting… our loved ones! Have a wonderful holiday season!

Tile itself is relatively easy to clean. Often the surface is so smooth that dirt and grime wipe right off. To clean tile grout is, however, a different story all together.

Cleaning Tile Grout with Household Items
There are many products on the market designed specifically to clean tile grout, and each works to a varying degree. However, there are a few things you already have around the house that could do the job just as well.

Before using any cleaner at all, wipe down the wall with plain old water and let it dry. This will remove any loose dirt and debris. You can use a regular floor cleaner (like Lysol) and scrub in circles with a stiff (but not metal) bristled brush. You can also use a mixture of water and vinegar, or a paste of water and baking soda. A diluted mixture of chlorine bleach or hydrogen peroxide can be used to clean tile grout that is more heavily discolored.

Professional Grout Cleaning
People who have access to a steam cleaner might try using it to clean tile grout. This method is very effective, and is used by some professionals.

At some hardware stores and home improvement centers, you can purchase very heavy-duty products designed for commercial use. These chemicals are very strong; they should never be mixed with another cleaner, and the directions on the back should be followed exactly. Your results might be a little less than professional, even with the heavy duty cleaners, because the pros have special agitating grout brushes that you will most likely not have access to.

How to Clean Grout Like New
Some grout is so discolored that no type of cleaner, homemade or commercial, will do the job. “How to clean grout” is, in these cases, more like “how to resurface grout”. The process here is pretty straight forward, though you’ll need more than just a brush and spray bottle to resurface and clean tile grout that is severely stained.

Get some time back for yourself! Use this link to

Hire Las Vegas Professional Grout Cleaning Services

The first thing you’ll need is a grout saw. Don’t let the name fool you; a grout saw is an almost trowel like tool that’s about the size of a screwdriver. They are quite sharp, though, so be careful not to scratch the tile or yourself when using one. Scrape off the top layer of discolored grout with the grout saw, and wipe away or vacuum the excess dust.

Next you’ll need some premixed grout and a grout float, easily found at any home improvement store. Spread the grout all over the tile and cracks with the float, then wipe away all of the excess grout from the tile. This will leave a bright new layer of grout in the cracks. Use a damp sponge to further remove grout on the surface of the tiles.

Once everything dries, there will be a thin, pale film of grout left on the tile; this can be removed using a dry towel or paper towel. To keep the grout looking as good as new, apply a grout sealant once everything is completely dry.

Pressure washers are one of the handiest tools a homeowner can purchase. They can be used for everything from cleaning out your dog kennel to preparing a house for a new paint job. And if you know what to look for in purchasing one, you’ll have a great piece of all-purpose cleaning equipment at your disposal for years to come.

What Do I Need A Pressure Washer For?
The answer to that question is simple: just about everything. When most people think of pressure washers they conjure up images of professional painters dangling off ladders in order to prep flaking surfaces for a facelift. The truth is that pressure washers have a number of possible uses that encompass just about any outdoor cleaning task you can imagine. Some of the most popular everyday uses of these machines include cleaning cars, driveways and walkways, gutters and downspouts, siding, outdoor furniture, dog kennels, garage floors, lawn mowers, garden equipment, and trash cans, and other soiled receptacles. Add to these a few of the more industrial uses, such as preparing surfaces to be painted and washing hard to clean areas and equipment where grease, heavy dirt and oil buildup occurs, and it’s easy to see why keeping a pressure washer in the garage is an excellent investment over time. Remember, buying a power washer isn’t just an investment in a new toy; it’s really a cost-effective maintenance solution for the upkeep of your home, property, vehicles, tools, and a whole lot more.

How to Choose the Right Model for You
Many things need to be taken into account when choosing the right power washer, including how you plan to use it, how frequently you plan to use it, and how much money you can spend. If your washer use is limited to some spring cleaning (washing off your home’s siding, cleaning off the driveway and walks, etc.) you’ll probably be okay with a lower end, direct drive washer: the kind of washer you’ll typically find at most hardware stores. If you plan to use your washer more frequently, more than 100 hours per year, you’ll probably want to make the step up to a higher end agricultural or industrial model. Most cheaper residential models simply won’t hold up over the long run when exposed more vigorous use.

Other things to pay attention to are the GPM and (PSI) of the units you’re considering. This refers to the gallons per minute of water that are dispensed and the pressure per square inch with which the unit expels that water. Generally, the higher the GPM, and more importantly the PSI, the more powerful and effective your new pressure washer will be. The final consideration you’ll need to make is whether you want a gas or electric model. Electric washers are fine and efficient, especially if you’re fairly certain you’ll only be using your washer where outlets are accessible. However, if you plan on toting your washer around and want a more portable unit, paying a little extra for a gas run model is well worth the extra money it will cost you.

Power Washer How To’s
The main thing to remember when using a pressure washer is simply that these units, even the smaller ones, pack a punch. I’ve seen an inexperienced painter strip not only the paint off of old wood siding with an industrial grade power washer, but a sizeable portion of the wood as well. The key is start out at a good distance away from the object you’re washing, then work your way closer until you get the effect you’re looking for. Also, start with wider spray nozzles or settings and move to smaller ones only when you’re sure you need more power. Smaller nozzles and settings mean more pressure and more focused point of attack, so it’s better to play it safe and start bigger before working your way down. Once you get the hang of it, however, working with one becomes a breeze and pretty near to second nature for the operator.

Rentals and Services
Still not convinced it’s worth the investment? Don’t fret. You can still reap the benefits of these valuable machines by renting a unit from an equipment rental company or calling a painting or cleaning contractor to come do the work for you. Rental companies usually have a fleet of these beauties on hand, and it can be cost effective to rent one for a few weekends a year if your use of them is fairly limited. And if you’re not a member of the do-it-yourself crowd, there’s an army of painting, cleaning and general contractors out there who would be glad to hire out their services for a day or two to take care of your general professional pressure washing needs.

Junior just spilled his grape soda on the couch and you’re wondering why on earth you didn’t go with the multi-colored upholstery that looked enough like that spill that no one could tell that it was there. Or, perhaps, you’re realizing that your crazy aunt was right to put plastic over everything. Don’t worry. Upholstery cleaning is inexpensive and an often neglected part of general home maintenance. It is something you should be doing with regularity, in fact, not just when there is an impossible stain.

Upholstery and Your Family: Be Clean, Be Beautiful
Every day, you and your family come in from outside and go immediately to the furniture. Often, it’s snowing or raining, or your kid has come home from a sweaty soccer game or cheerleading practice, or maybe you’ve spent all day at the office surrounded by other people. Over time, germs, dirt, sweatýeverything from ticks to swine fluýwill build up on your upholstery Many people do not get their upholstery cleaned nearly enough, if at all. Basic home care should include upholstery cleaning at least once a year. It will contribute not only to the health of your home but its beauty as well.

Upholstery and Carpet Stains: Random Spills
If it isn’t time for your yearly upholstery cleaning and there is a spill, you will naturally try to clean something yourself before calling in the cleaning professionals. The best method is preemptive—always ask the carpet store or furniture maker how to best clean the product while still at the store. Often you will find that you get information that is helpful but might not have been disclosed. Armed with this, you can purchase furniture that will stay cleaner longer, last longer, and you will know how to deal with problems as they arise. This also protects you from warranty problems, because some manufacturers even have specific cleaners that you can’t use without discrediting any warranty or claim.

Professional Upholstery and Carpet Cleaning Services
Often, you will not be able to get a stain out. Your detergents and cleaning products might not have worked, but that does not mean that a professional cleaning service won’t be able to do it for you. These companies are trained to know what chemicals work for what spills and they have the proper arsenal to deal with any situation. The most important part of any home maintenance is making it easy on yourself. Most companies allow you to schedule a yearly service. This way you know that the first week of every April (or whenever you choose), you will get a call from your cleaning service wanting to schedule an appointment. It will be easy, inexpensive, and will slide into your routine with ease. Most importantly, it will add to the life of your furniture and protect you and your family from the accumulation of germs.

Finding an Upholstery Cleaning Company
If you’re lucky you can isolate your cleaning needs to the carpet, where professional cleaning is easy to accomplish. Furniture upholstery can present unique challenges, and although most professional cleaning companies handle furniture, rugs, drapes, and curtains, along with carpet cleaning, you may want to take the extra step in finding and choosing a contractor for your upholstery. And that’s precisely what ServiceMagic offers. Each and every contractor in our database is put through a rigorous ten-step screening process. We also give you access to our quality-controlled ratings and reviews so you can see what other homeowners from your area thought about their upholstery cleaning service.

The average upholstery cleaning project costs $193 and takes about four hours to complete. However, as you can imagine, not every dusty armchair or stained sectional is the same. Recently, we’ve seen $75 projects that took less than an hour, and one project that took 32 hours and cost $1,000. You’ll also be happy to know that upholstery and furniture cleaning, not exactly every homeowner’s favorite project, still has a 91.4% satisfaction rating from homeowners who choose ABC Real, Las Vegas Cleaning.
