<p>I will also lift my arms while bouncing them back and forth at the same time bouncing my whole body again avoiding lifting my feet from the ground. By keeping your feet firmly planted on the floor you get the full impact of the bouncing. The benefits are numerous. You increase your oxygen uptake, you may experience more mental clarity, more energy and increase in your metabolism. The bounce and shake also assists our  lymphatic system to cleanse and clear out impurities and supporting healthy circulation. <p>I recommend starting with 5 minutes twice a day in the morning and evening. Work up in 5 minute increments to eventually 20 minutes twice a day. I can feel tightness in my muscles, especially in the back of my legs, and I may be setting myself up for a future injury. I'm not sure why we knowingly do things, or in this case don't do things, that could lead to possible injury and decreased performance. The fact is that if you will just work to increase your flexibility with a good stretching program it will be easier to maintain that level of flexibility in the future.

<p>In a recent trial study (Rancour, J., Holmes, C., &amp; Ciprani D., 2009) they tested 2 groups of subjects. Both subject groups were put on a stretching routine for 4 weeks and both groups significantly improved their hip flexibilty. After 4 weeks however one group did not continue to stretch while the other group did a 2-3 day/week maintenance stretching program.</p>
<p>They found that after another 4 weeks the non stretching group lost much of their flexibility gains.</p>
<p>The 2nd group however that did continue on a reduced 2-3 day/ week stretching routine was able to not only maintain their flexibilty but it actually continued to increase slightly.</p>
<p>The lessons that we can take away from this study is that it confirms our knowledge that regular stretching does lead to increases in flexibility. Even more importantly though is knowing that once you have increased your flexibility with a regular stretching routine you should be able to maintain your gains with a reduced frequency maintenance plan. This is great news since most of us are pressed for time in our daily lives. I personally will be following a good stretching routine for the next month and afterward I&#8217;ll follow through by continuing to stretch or participate in yoga 2-3 days/week.</p>

<p>Even in the most pristine parts of the world people&#8217;s whose blood is tested will often have over 200 toxic trace chemicals. You will never find Candida without some level of heavy metal poisoning. Specially troublesome is mercury poisoning. The toxins within our blood create an overly acidic environment which is perfect for candida to multiply and proliferate. Also, candida may multiply in response to the presence of heavy metals in attempt to protect the body initially. However if left to progress over time, a harmless yeast turns into a candida infection which can lead to other serious health conditions.</p>
<p>The challenge once the yeast become a multi-celled organism, it then has the ability to drill holes through your gut and release into your blood stream creating havoc where ever the candida spreads which leads to leaky gut syndrone.  Once in your blood stream candida can take up residence anywhere and everywhere within your body. At this stage candida infection becomes systemic.  Serious health conditions can arise when the candida infection spreads to the organs of the body.</p>
<p>It is imperative that you recognize when you may have a candida infection and take the appropriate steps. The symptoms can be many and varied. itching, poor digestion, gas, foggy head, forgetful, memory loss, depression, food allergies, leg cramps, panic attacks, hair falling out, skin conditions, super sensitive to chemicals, sugar cravings, tired much of time, are just a few of the symptoms you can experience when candida is present.</p>
<p>There are key components that need to be addressed to clear a candida infection. You must look to the underlining causes. Stress, poor diet, heavy metals, mold exposure, toxic chemical exposure are some of the common conditions that create an environment for candida to proliferate. Check your pH if you are too acidic your internal environment is perfect for candida take hold.</p>
<p>Also, a long standing candida issue will take longer to address to really clear from your system. A simple rule of thumb to check to see if you may have a candida infection is to do the spit test first thing in the morning. Upon rising have a clear glass of water at your night stand. Spit into the glass of water prior to drinking any water. If white streamers form within the first 5 minutes in the water you have a more severe level of candida infection. The faster those white opaque streamers form in the water the more severe your infection. If it takes 20 minutes or longer the infection is present however not as likely to be as severe.</p>
<p>Of course listen to your body and check to see if you have a number of the common candida symptoms and I do advise you find a great holistic practitioner that can have blood work done to check the severity of your candida.</p>
<p>Your first line of defense is to eat an alkaline and healthy diet. The rule of thumb with an candida diet is stick with leafy green vegetables, lean meat, brown rice and steer clear of simple carbohydrates like bread, pasta, sugar, desserts etc. Eat whole foods and heavy on the green vegetables. Juicing leafy greens is an excellent way to support an alkaline pH balance.</p>
<p>In future articles on turning the tide on Candida, I&#8217;ll recommend some excellent products that address candida directly and support a healthy flora in the gut.</p>

Doing can be quite satisfying because you feel good about what you are accomplishing and our accomplishments can contribute to our feelings of increased self esteem. I know I love the feeling of crossing things off my to do list. However it is worth checking in from time to time to see what lies behind our doings. Are we motivated out of fear or out of a pure place of joy? I find when I have to fill every possible moment with what I deem as productive behavior that is a sure way to burn out.

It is important to pay attention to chronic busyness. Are you afraid that if you stop, smell the roses and just rest a bit that your life may fall apart? I know there have been times in my life that I felt I had to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. Of course this was self imposed. <p>Given we are human beings not human doings what if we give being a chance in our lives? I have heard the phrase that to relax is to know God. When we stop and truly relax we become more in touch with ourselves. We start to truly tune in and turn inward. I have proved it over and over in my life that when I take time to mediate each day, I am happier and my life has more grace. I reach my goals with ease often faster and certainly with less stress.</p>
<p>When it comes to our health is comes as no surprise that stress is one of the biggest contributors to disease. When we are stressed our bodies produce a whole host of chemicals that can damage our immune response and our ability to heal and stay healthy. Sometimes it is the seemingly small things that we do on a daily basis that can have the greatest impact on our well being.</p>
<p>A great piece of advice I read recently that whenever we experience stress in our lives to simply stop for a moment and take three deep breaths. Immediately we are transported to the present moment. Being aware of our bodies and breathing slowly and deeply allow us to take our attention off the pass and the future. We get more oxygen into our blood streams and we feel better. Something as simple as our breath can have a profound impact on our lives.</p>

<p>What makes this an even a more devastating story is that those most at risk to being vulnerable to the toxins in vaccines are on the front lines to be the first to receive these highly questionable vaccines are pregnant women and children. Of course lets not leave out our military folk who put their lives on the line to protect our way of life are also first in line for questionable vaccines.</p>
<p>I remember the last time I went in for a series of vaccines prior to going out of the country and looking back on that experience is when I went through a slow but steady decline in my health for a period of years. <p>Your body needs water to regulate body temperature and to provide the means for nutrients to travel to all your organs. Water also transports oxygen to your cells, removes waste, and protects your joints and organs. So it only makes sense that drinking adequate water supports optimal health.</p>
<p>How much water do we need?  A good estimate is half your body weight.  That gives you the number of ounces of water per day that you need to drink.  If you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink at least 80 ounces of water per day.</p>
<p>An easy way to track that you are drinking the proper amount of water each day is to start with a container that holds two liters of water as a base line. Remember your total weight, exercise levels and climate all play factors. Keep water handy by having a container of water with you at all times, in the car when you travel, at work and of course at home. I find just keeping a glass of water with me in my home office and of course a full glass of water on my bed stand prior to retiring. Living in Arizona requires drinking more water due to our dry climate.</p>
