Free Editable Grocery List

It’s very easy to type in your own text on this printable grocery list. Simply open up the PDF file in Adobe Reader, fill in your text in the provided fields, save, and print!

That said, you don’t have to type in your grocery items. You can customise the categories, print out, and then write your items in by hand.

I’ve included pre-filled text like produce, bakery, baking, pantry, meat, dairy, household, other. If you don’t want to use the provided headings you can change it to anything you want. Which means you can type it in another language, too.

There’s also some empty lines at the top of the grocery list if you need more space or need to make notes like meal ideas.

Supplies needed

– A printer. Here is the printer I use.
– Regular office paper.

How to use this free printable grocery list

1. Download the PDF file below.
2. Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader.
3. Type in your own text in the blue highlighted fields.
4. Go to File – Save.
5. Go to File – Print. In the print settings window, choose “Fit” under Page sizes and handling.
6. Print as many copies as you need on regular office paper. No cutting is necessary.
7. Stick it to your fridge.

What is a habit tracker?

A habit tracker is a tool that helps you track and monitor your habits so that you can gradually increase the good habits and get rid of the bad ones.

A habit tracker is usually made up of three parts:

1. A log/journal to write down when the habit was completed,
2. A chart to show progress on completion,
3. An encouraging message or quote.

Besides tracking your habits, a habit tracker will also motivate you. It’s an inexpensive way to stay motivated and achieve your goals!

Why is habit tracking so powerful?

According to James Clear, the benefits of keeping a habit tracker are:

It feels satisfying to record your success in the moment.

It creates a visual cue that can remind you to act.

It is motivating to see the progress you are making. You don’t want to break your streak.

So why should we track our habits? If we want to reach our goals, we must do small things every day, consistently. If we don’t hold ourselves accountable, we will likely fall off the wagon. That’s why a habit tracker is such a great way to stay committed to your goals.

And doesn’t it feel good to tick off your habits on a piece of paper or on an app? It gives you a sense of achievement.

How to Draw a Mandala Freehand

Creating a Mandala can be an excellent tool for meditation. You can use a mandala creator online to make things easier and faster. If you decide to do everything yourself, I will teach you the basics first. Let’s get started!

What Stands Behind a Mandala Sanskrit Word?

Mandala means “circle” in Sanskrit. In Hinduism and Buddhism, it is associated with spiritual symbols and shapes that represent the universe, organization, and connection between visible and invisible things.

Mandalas can also be found in other parts of the world. For instance, windows, floors, and walls in old Christian cathedrals and churches also feature the Mandala’s visual design.

A standard Mandala consists of a circle and a square with four “gates” that are linked with tiny shapes. It is mainly used to establish sacred spaces, enable smooth meditation, or encourage a spiritual trance.

Some specialists associate Mandalas with personal development and growth, as well as enhancing a person’s emotional state.

Drawing patterns can often be found in adult coloring books, due to their relaxing and stress-relieving qualities.

Creating Your Own Mandala

When you draw your own Mandalas, you should listen to your soul. This is where you can find answers to all your questions. And this is where you can find the right shapes, colors, and patterns to express yourself.

For instance, you can create a Mandala to specify a state of mind that you are striving for. After all, Mandalas are used as popular tools for increasing self-awareness.

The best thing about creating your own Mandala is flexibility. While expressing your sense of self and your view of reality, you can choose to use any shapes and colors. Your Mandala is your space for demonstrating your personal creativity.

Mandala Drawing Materials

Now that you know the basics, you should start with a simple beginner’s Mandala. To proceed with this, you will need a few simple things.

These include colored pencils, markers, fine liners, crayons, or paints.

Historically, Mandalas have always featured a wide range of bright colors. So, the more colors you have, the better.

Also, you will need a few sheets of white paper as you might create more than one draft.

Considering the even lines and shapes that make up a Mandala, you will definitely need something to draw nice circles and lines. Whether it be a ruler or anything else, it is up to you to decide what will work best for your design.

We will be drawing the circles in our mandala by hand, without a compass, but you can choose to use one if you want to.

Let’s Get Started Drawing Mandalas!

This is where you will learn how to create these mystic symbols with ease. Of course, there are a lot of drawing techniques involved, but we will focus on the basic one that involves the following steps:

Step 1: Draw the Lines

Whatever kind of paper format you are drawing on, you should measure it out into a square shape.

Depending on the size of your future Mandala, you will need to add the relevant amount of space for future circles and shapes.

When you have your square shape ready, you will need to put 4 lines crossing in the middle of the square.

• One vertical in the middle
• One horizontal in the middle
• One left diagonal
• One right diagonal

Step 2: Place Dots

You will place some dots on each line to draw proper circles. You should start from the center by marking the dots at equal distances on each part.

The distance between dots depends entirely on the composition you have in your head.

Step 3: Draw Circles

You will connect the dots on the lines to draw circles, one by one. If your circles don’t look perfect, you shouldn’t worry about it. After adding other elements of design and highlighting them with bright colors, all the imperfections will disappear.

Step 4: Add Some Shapes

The “most tiresome” part of learning how to draw a mandala is over! Once you have a scheme, you can start decorating it by adding new patterns.

These can be leaves, petals, half leaves, circles, and triangles. All elements can be repeated on several circles as long as the Mandala’s size allows you to do so.

Step 5: Add Some Colors

This step is all about you. Depending on your emotional state, you decide on the choice of colors for your Mandala. Whether you want to stay in a single color palette or you want to draw a colorful mess, it is up to you.

If you want to keep things minimal, without color, you can simply skip this step.

When you add colors, you should move from the center outwards. Thus, you will avoid touching the rest of the drawing. Ideally, you leave each circle dry before going to the next one. This is especially helpful with light colors.

Step 6: Make Borders Clear

Whether you colored your mandala or left it simple, you won’t want to skip this step. You should highlight the borders with a bold marker. This will make your drawing clearer by adding a striking definition.

Step 7: Finalize Your Drawing

To finalize your mandala, you can let your imagination run free. If you feel like adding more lines, dots, or some other design patterns, do so.

Take your time to go back to a circle and create some additional elements if the space seems empty to you.

As someone who creates printables for a living, I get quite a few questions regarding printing and resizing printables. Today I will be discussing getting the most out of the printables you buy or download for free.

The fantastic thing about printables is that you have the power of making them work better for you. You can resize them, print as many as you need, and in some cases even type in your own text.

With printed stationery, this is not possible. You are stuck with the size you bought and if you need more of that item, you need to buy more.

Today’s tutorial is about resizing printables. Sometimes you have downloaded a printable that you would like to print smaller or larger than it actually is.

We’ll be taking a look at the print settings window in the free version of Adobe Reader (not affiliated) on how to achieve that.

What you’ll need to resize printables

• A PDF file
• A computer
• A PDF Viewer like Adobe Reader (free)
• Some paper
• A printer

How to reduce or increase the size of a printable PDF

There are two ways you can reduce or increase the size of a printable PDF in a PDF viewer software: One method is printing on the true paper size you would like to print on (for example, you want to print an A4 printable on A5 paper, or an 8.5 x 11” printable on 4.25 x 5.5” paper).

The other method is reducing or increasing the custom scale percentage. We’ll talk about that later.

Method #1: Printing on a custom paper size

If the paper size you want to print on is available for your type of printer, this is the method you want to use. For example, if you want to print on A5 paper size, you will need true A5-sized paper.

If you want to print on 4 x 6” paper, you will need to put that exact paper size in your printer.

I’m going to be using this printable meeting agenda template in A4 size as an example today, but you can use any printable file.

Let’s say we want to print it at half the size (A5 size). Here’s what we need to do:

Step 1: download the printable PDF to your computer’s hard drive.

Step 2: open the PDF in Adobe Reader. If you don’t have Adobe Reader installed on your computer you can download it here for free. Make sure you are using the latest version.

Step 3: load your printer with the exact sized paper you need your printable to be. If you want to print on A5 paper, you will load your printer with true A5-sized paper.

Step 4: go to File – Print. The Print window will open. Click on the Page Setup button. If you don’t see that button, click on the Properties button.

Step 5: Under Paper Size, choose the paper size you want to print on today. Here I have chosen A5. Click OK.

Step 6: Now we need to tell our printer to fit the artwork to the A5 page (or whatever size you are printing on). To do that, choose “fit”. That’s it! The larger artwork should now print on a smaller (or larger) page and fit on it.

Follow the same steps to increase the size of the printable. Keep in mind that there might be image quality loss if you enlarge the image.

Method #2: Reducing or increasing custom scale percentage

If the previous method didn’t work for you, there’s another way. With this method, the printer will print a smaller (or larger) image on regular-sized paper. So there will be white areas on the paper which you will need to cut off.

Step 1: open the PDF in Adobe Reader. If you don’t have Adobe Reader installed on your computer you can download it here for free. Make sure you are using the latest version.

Step 2: load your printer with normal-size paper (A4 or US Letter).

Step 3: go to File – Print. The Print window will open. Go to Page Setup. If you don’t see that button click on the Properties button. Under Paper Size choose the paper size you want to print on today. Here I have chosen A4. Click OK.

Step 4: Now we need to tell our printer to print the large artwork smaller. Choose the “custom scale” option and input a smaller percentage than 100%. So, if you want to print the image half the size it is, you need to input 50%.

You will see a preview image on the right. Isn’t that handy? Remember, if the image printed smaller or larger than you wanted, go back and experiment with the custom scale percentage by increasing or decreasing it just a little.

Making a Printable PDF larger

Follow the same steps to increase the size of the printable. For example, if you want to print the image double the size it is now, type in 200% in the custom scale box. Keep in mind that there might be image quality loss if you enlarge the image.

What if you don’t know what scale percentage to use to resize the page? Here is a handy chart showing you what scale percentages you can use to resize planner printables and other printables.

This assumes you are printing from a US Letter sized paper (8.5 x 11″).

Method #3: Resize the PDF itself

If you want to resize the PDF file itself, there’s a handy tool called Pro PDF.com (not affiliated). It’s free to use! You can upload a PDF and choose a new size from the drop-down menu, or input a custom size.

Here is an example of how I am resizing a Letter size PDF to A5 size:
