Today we are in Wilmington at Wesley Memorial, the third event. Link to http://www.21stcenturysheep.com/ for links, research data and many other resources. Right now he is talking to the group about at-risk teens and opportunities for them to become victimized by predators who would seek to validate them through grooming for exploitation. Another topic in the second session was cyberbullying, today's version of the bully in the school yard.

http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/ is another site that gives clear examples of ways our children and youth may be targeted online.

Today's group is very engaging, and some of the group are well-informed on the topics of the day. Keeping up with the technology is nearly impossible, which makes a workshop like this one so much more important as we interact in ministry settings in this century.

Shepherding 21st Century Sheep: Cyberspace, Cyberministry and Cybersafety

EVENT LOCATIONS AND DATES

September 20th—White Plains UMC, Cary (convenient to the Burlington, Raleigh, Durham Districts)

September 27th—Wesley Memorial UMC, Wilmington (convenient to the Goldsboro, Wilmington, New Bern Districts)

November 15th—Edenton UMC, Edenton (convenient to the Elizabeth City, Rocky Mount, Greenville Districts)

We encourage you to attend the event that is the most convenient for your schedule and/or location

Registration will be from 9:15—9:30 at each location.
