The show is a rain or shine event and starts at 8 PM. There’s an 8 ticket limit per household. General admission lawn seats are $35.00; Rear Pavilion and Reserved Pavilion seats are $85.00 each. Live Nation Four Pack lawn admission is $24.75 for each ticket, if purchased in advance.

It appears that some pleasant weather is in store with highs expected in the mid 70’s today, so it’s perfect for a get together.

Eastlake and the Lake County Captains are hosting a 4th of July celebration at Classic Park beginning at 7 PM.

No matter what you decide to do today, we hope it’s a good one!

Generation Landslide and the Rock-n-Roll / Country band Guns for Hirewill will be on hand to entertain at the free event. The gates open at 7 PM and there is no cost for parking. Food and drink will not be allowed into the stadium, but concessions will be available.

Captains General Manager Kevin Brodzinski said:

“We are excited to be partnering with the administration of the City of Eastlake to bring the city-sponsored fireworks show to Classic Park in 2008. We believe the venue lends itself to this type of event and think the residents will enjoy the extra long show to celebrate Independence Day.”

The City of Eastlake and the Captains are both contributing financially to make this event happen.

The fireworks are scheduled to start at around 10:00 PM.

Classic Park is located at 35300 Vine Street; Eastlake, Ohio.

The Cleveland Orchestra Star Spangled Spectacular takes place tomorrow (July 2, 2008) at Public Square. The Cleveland Orchestra will be giving a free concert at 9 PM with other free events starting at 4 PM.

Weather permitting, there will be a fireworks display at 10:30 PM.

The Star Spangled Spectacular not only celebrates Independence Day, it celebrates 200 years of Cuyahoga County.

The orchestra will be conducted by Giancarlo Guerrero and will feature soprano Indra Thomas. nearby streets will be closed, so you might want to consider using the Rapid to avoid parking problems.

The Vatican Splendors exhibit is being displayed at the Western Reserve Historical Society, 10825 East Blvd; Cleveland, OH 44106.

Visitors will see artifacts from St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums and the Swiss Guard as well as Michelangelo items and works by Bernini, Giotto, and others. There will be approximately 200 items on display.

Exhibit hours are Monday-Wednesday, 10 AM - 9 PM with last admission at 7 p.m.; Thursday-Sunday 10 AM - 6 PM with last admission at 5 p.m.

Vatican Splendors runs through September 7, 2008 and tickets cost $20.00 each. They can be purchased at the Western Reserve Historical Society box office and at Ticketmaster outlets.

The Reggaefest is presented by Packy Malley and takes place August 8, 9 & 10, 2008 at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville, Ohio. (45 miles east of Cleveland.) Nelson Ledges has 200 primitive campsites available for those that wish to camp. They also have a swimming quarry and 2 fishing lakes.

Featured artists include Shinehead, Marty Dread, Beres Hammond, Deighton, The Ark Band, Carlos Jones & Plus, Newleaf and Charlemagne.

Discount Drug Mart is offering “Anyday” tickets for $36.25. This is the same price that Giant Eagle is selling them for. Regular adult admission to the amusement park is $42.95.
