Clever Nest now has an Etsy Shop!

I am so excited about a new endeavor! My brand new Etsy shop has been open for just about 3 weeks now, and I would love for you to check it out!

I've wanted to open an Etsy shop for about awhile now, but I wasn't sure what I would make or sell. I'm still learning, but I am loving my little collection of handmade wood crafts, signs, jewelry, and wooden dolls! They fit my personality with plenty of bright colors and glitter!

Easter Bunny Craft: no don't do it :)

Happy April Fools! Yes, making literal dust bunnies out of vacuum fuzz is not cool, or festive, or sanitary. I can't fool most of you any more, but there was a bit of fun to be had over on Pinterest this morning.

Kate and Kierra were very disturbed (and for good reason!)

Then the moment Kate senses something is up :)

And the repins. I congratulate those that categorized my bunny under "What Were They Thinking?", and "Humor".

But it also made it onto "Easter", and "For the Kiddies". Don't do it Kristen!! For the good of humanity, reconsider!

I had a good laugh, and I hope you did too! Thanks for being such good sports :) and as always, say NO to resurrected vacuum cleaner fuzz creatures, lol.

Super Cute! Easter Bunny Craft {recycled materials)

Happy Easter week!

I can't believe it's upon us already. I've been absent from the blog lately, mostly due to chasing around after these crazy munchkins all day long! :). They definitely keep me busy, but I managed to squeeze in a super cute Easter craft this week, while they were napping! And I'm excited to share it with you!

This little guy came to me when I was thinking of how I would spruce up my Easter/Spring tablescape. I didn't have time to make a run to the craft store, so I used things I already had on hand. Nothing beats free supplies!

What's fluffy, and free, and exists in copious amounts? In my vacuum??

I scored big time, since I hadn't emptied my vacuum in awhile (yay procrastination!). Plenty of fluff to spare! I might make more of these little guys later to make into a whole bunny family.

I formed the fluff into a general bunny shape. I only had to pick out a few tell-tale chunks that this was from my living room floor, hehe ;) shhhh!

I tried out some large google eyes, and it was cute! But they were a bit too big for his face.

Small eyes= much cuter!!

Last minute inspiration: I added a real life baby carrot to give it some flair. With a little bit (more like a lot) of hair spray it held together perfectly! I can't wait to use him on my Easter tablescape. He will fit right in with the other decor.

P.S. I also took a stab at dryer lint as a possible medium (which was coincidentally the exact same color as the vacuum fluff... teal much Alyssa??) It worked ok, but didn't have the same dimension as the vacuum stuff.

Glad I went the vacuum route instead!
