Job Summary:

The Home Health Chaplain/Staff Chaplain will provide pastoral ministry in a manner which exemplifies the philosophy, mission and values of the pastoral care department at Baptist Health South Florida, acting as worship and sacramental leader, counselor, advocate-mediator, educator, and spiritual guide. The Home Health Chaplain/Staff Chaplain will maintain his/her relationship with the endorsing religious denomination current and in good standing at all times while employed at Baptist Health South Florida. The Home Health Chaplain/Staff Chaplain will assist the Director of Pastoral Care in the implementation of all programming, policies and procedures, as outlined by the Departments Policies and Procedures Manual. As the religious representative before the Hospital and related communities, the staff chaplain will be held accountable to the highest level of professional ethics and moral conduct.

Physician Practice Claims Specialist, Revenue Management, MFT, 8:30am-5:00pm

Responsible for working daily task list from NextGen Practice Solutions of assigned pre billing edit rejected claims and unpaid denied claims through identifying, documenting and following up on problematic issues that prevented the successful and timely transmission of accurate/clean claims by a third party support partner as well as following up on denied claims by governmental and other third-party payers as assigned in the work queue. Position is responsible for identifying and resolving invalid or missing claim data by communicating with the physician office practices, NextGen billing support personnel and/or other Baptist Health South Florida departments to secure and correct the data which prevents or compromises the accurate transmission of the claim to the payer. Knowledge of the appeals process in researching denied claims to resolve discrepancies and correct claim data for re-billing by NextGen. Coding compliance expertise and a through understanding of ICD-9, CPT-4 and associated modifiers is utilized to successfully resolve claim issues. Complies with payer filing deadlines by utilizing all available resources to resolve held claims. Assures all known regulatory, contractual, compliance, and Baptist Health South Florida guidelines are adhered to with regards to claim billing processes. Utilizes available system resources to resolve claim issues when appropriate, reports any system issues to Physician Practice Support management, assists other Billing/Claim Specialists with claims resolution and other special projects, as assigned.

Clinical Informatics Assistant, Clinical Informatics, Per Diem, Varies

Facilitates all clinical informatics initiatives aimed to improve the care and performance of Baptist Health South Florida patient population, families, and hospital staff. Assists in coordinating and communicating the use of technology in the direct provision of nursing and ancillary care, managing and delivering educational experiences and supporting evidenced based care and nursing research. Serves as a bridge between the hospital staff, Clinical Informatics, and Baptist Health South Florida IT to collect and communicate feedback, daily issues, and educational needs of the end users.

Agency Collector, Kendall Credit and Business Services, MFT, 8am-4:30pm

Responsible for contacting consumers in order to negotiate payment arrangements on aged or high balance medical bad debt, while following federal, state, client and collection guidelines and laws. Schedule includes two days from 8am to 5pm, two late nights from 9am-8pm, Fridays and Saturdays will alternate from 8am to 12 noon.

Position supports physician practices claims and billing teams,. Must be a professional, detail oriented team player and practice Baptist Health’s vision and mission of quality and patient service excellence.

Lead Patient Financial Representative, BOS Registration, MFT, 9:30A-6:00P

This position demonstrates exemplary teamwork, service, and overall knowledge of the BHSF revenue cycle from a patient access perspective. This position is for those individuals who will serve as a preceptor for new hires. Demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with others including patients, families, employees, medical staff, volunteers and community members to maximize communication and productivity. Interacts and works cooperatively with patients and ancillary departments to assure patient satisfaction. This position may require deployment of legal ethical and compliance related documents that must be presented and thoroughly explained to the patient at the time of registration. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining knowledge and deployment of practices used within the department as well as throughout the hospital to address patient questions or concerns. Serves as a registration resource and takes on leadership role in the absence of a Manager/Supervisor.

Call Center Ambassador (Scheduling/Physician Liaison) , Centralized Scheduling – BHE, MFT, 8:00A-4:30P

This position exists to serve as a liaison to the call center staff and the BH outpatient, imaging areas, and physicians offices. The Scheduling Liaison will bridge BH outpatient, imaging customers and the Imaging Access Call Center to ensure thorough and consistent communication of new services and protocols. This individual will work to ensure all aspects of scheduling are communicated to customers and staff alike. This position will service physician offices primarily located in Broward county.
