My god am i couple of years to late ? No matter this is by far one of the better films i seen in a while.Im ashamed to admit that i watched in twice in a day and that iv seen some speeches for the film a dozen times.

Starring: Hugo Weaving
              Natalie Portman
              Stephen Rea
            John Hurt

Movie is based on a comic by Alan Moore. Its set in a make belive post apocaliptic world to be more precised London. The main character called V (Hugo Weaving) if trying to liberate England from tirany and opression. Movie is well writen and it will keep u glued to your tv for the entire duration.

Hugo played his part amazingly well , u can litteraly see expresions and emotions on the mask when he is acting. He was that good.Natalie had an english accent for the film and it quiet suited her , might i ad she was quiet cute beeing bald.

The mask (Guy Fawkes) he is wearing in the movie is used by alot of groups today when they are trying to express/protest about something - Anonymous group and Occupy movement to name a few.
All in all the movie was refreshing to see and it will be on my top movies list for some time. Enjoy

What can i say im a sucker for good plots and story's , even though the script and part of the cast werent up for the job. This is supposed to be the prequel to the original Alien (1979) movie and as there Ridley Scott takes up the bat to direct the movie.

Let me just say , i know i wrote that acting was bad BUT Rapaca and Fassbender were really good . CGI and the directing were great. The story had so much potential but in my opinion it was badly writen and poorly casted ...

The movie is about a crew of humans going to a desolate planet in search for origins of man kind. They stumble upon artificial mound and they start exploring it...when they find something un expected. Without going into further details if they work on the writing the story a bit better we can have a good sequel of this movie that could link us directly to the Alien franchise ! . Give this movie a shot , if for nothing the for the very stuning visual details.

Wrath of the Titans

2012-08-13T12:31:00.000-07:00

Having watched the first movie i dont know what on earth possesed me to watch its sequel. By far the worst movie i seen this year.

U might wonder why i watched it since i hated the first one .. and il tell u. I watched it becouse i loved the original movie (1981) from witch these abominations of films spun off , and i had hope that people in charge KNEW their first fill was uter peace of s..t.That might sound harsh but its the truth. Im still quiet amazed how they even landed actors like Fiennes and Neeson . Even those lets call them ''titans'' of movies werent able make this film watchable , and i salute them for even participating in this endevour.

The story was badly writen , it was so confusing at times , the dialogues were bad , most of the times actors didnt get to act since there was so much of cgi and special effects. The climax and the ending were dissapointing aswell.I seriously could go on and on , but this film does not deserve my time spent on writing a review on this peace of art ..

End of rant , wall of text ,whining , etc etc

I cant be the only one that feels this way right ?

Total Recall

2012-08-07T12:36:00.000-07:00

Ok so im gonna do a review on a type of films i dislike the most ... REMAKES , they are always the same in the way they dissapoint in the end since everyone rememmbers the good old film it was based on .

Unlike the 1990's film in this movie we wont be seeing Mars. Here the main characther Douglas Quaid (played by Colin Farrell) seeking for a perfect vacation decided's for a mind trip with Rekall company. His procedure goes very wrong with Quaid beeing on the run from the police who are controlled by Cohaagen the films main antagonist. He then teams up with the rebel fighter ( played by Jessica Biel) to find the head of the free world rebels
and put a stop to Cohaagen.

Oh did i mention that his wife is played by Kate Beckinsale ... hawt

Safe House

Safe House is a 2012 action thriller film directed by Daniel Espinosa, starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. It was released on February 10, 2012 in North America by Universal Pictures. Filming took place in Cape Town, South Africa

.
Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington), an ex-CIA agent turned to an international criminal, acquires a file from renegade MI6 agent Alec Wade (Liam Cunningham). Attacked by the mercenary Vargas (Fares Fares), he enters an American consulate and is moved to a CIA safe house in Cape Town, South Africa.
The "housekeeper" is Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds), a low-level agent. He watches Frost's interrogation and torture by Daniel Kiefer (Robert Patrick). When Vargas and his men attack the house, he executes Kiefer, and Weston escapes with Frost captive. Weston contacts his mentor, David Barlow (Brendan Gleeson), at CIA headquarters. Catherine Linklater (Vera Farmiga), another CIA operative, intercepts the call and orders Weston to lay low and call back later.
Weston hides with Frost and calls his girlfriend Ana Moreau (Nora Arnezeder), telling her to leave the house. Linklater later tells Weston to go to Cape Town Stadium to retrieve a GPS device with the location of a nearby safe house. He retrieves the GPS at the stadium, but Frost creates a diversion and escapes by disguising himself as a policeman. Weston, detained by the police, escapes but can't catch Frost.
Weston is ordered to visit the nearest American embassy for debriefing. Instead he meets with Ana, where he reveals that he is a CIA agent and sends her away for her safety. He then locates the house of Frost's contact, Carlos Villar (Rubén Blades), where Frost is attacked by Vargas and his team, but escapes with Weston's help. They learn that Vargas is actually working for the CIA, which is seeking to retrieve the files Frost received from Wade. It is revealed that the files contain detailed information of corrupt activities by many intelligence agencies, including the CIA itself, and that Weston's own superiors may be implicated. Frost is taken to the new safe house by Weston, where Weston is attacked by the housekeeper, Keller (Joel Kinnaman). After much struggle, Weston kills Keller but is badly wounded in their fight. Frost leaves Weston who then passes out from the wounds sustained fighting Keller. Meanwhile, Linklater has arrived in South Africa with Barlow to discover who leaked the location of the first safe house, but is murdered by Barlow, who goes to the safe house and reveals that he is Vargas' employer. He confirms that the file contains incriminating evidence against him, and encourages Weston to lie about what has happened. Frost returns to rescue Weston by killing Vargas and his men but is shot by Barlow, who is then shot by Weston. The dying Frost gives Weston the file and tells him he is better than him.
Back in the U.S., Weston meets with CIA Director Harlan Whitford (Sam Shepard), who informs Weston that unflattering facts about the CIA must be removed from his report, but that he will be promoted. He asks Weston about the file's location but Weston denies having been told about it by Frost. Whitford states that whoever has those files will have many enemies. Weston leaves, then leaks the files to the Internet, incriminating personnel from many intelligence agencies, including Whitford.
Later on, Weston sees Ana across a street in Paris, France. She reads a note passed to her from him, looks up at Weston, and they both make eye contact. She slowly smiles and then he leaves.

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Times has published photos of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan posing with corpses and body parts of Taliban suicide bomber.

This, the media believe, is yet another in a series of "moral plane" blows to the authorities in Washington.
Top U.S. military and civilian officials condemned the images, referring to the soldiers' behavior as abhorrent, and deemed that it "dishonored the sacrifice of thousands of Americans serving in Afghanistan".

One of the photos published by the newspaper shows members of the 82nd Airborne Division and members of the Afghan police posing with legs torn off the body of a suicide bombers.

The newspaper said that the same platoon, a few months later, went to investigate an incident in which alleged Taliban insurgents accidentally blew themselves up. On this occasion, the soldiers were again photographed with corpses.

According to the newspaper, a total of 18 images were taken during several months in 2010 by an unnamed former member of the unit.

The person in question made the photographs available and said this was done "in order to draw the attention to the collapse of leadership and discipline in the army and the threat that poses to the soldiers".

The U.S. military has launched a criminal investigation, the Los Angeles Times reported.

However, police arrested leader of the Left Front Sergei Udaltsov and five others, organizers said.

All access to the Duma building was blocked in the early morning, with security letting through only parliament members, officials and accredited journalists.

Putin today told the Duma that he ready to cooperate with the opposition and called for an end to political conflict.

Greek police sweep illegal immigrants from streets

Source: Tanjug

ATHENS -- Greek police on Friday started detaining illegal immigrants squatting in abandoned buildings in downtown Athens.

The police have also announced that they will continue the operation on a daily basis.
The operation followed after the Greek authorities announced that they would open centers across Greece where illegal immigrants would be placed until the authorities decided whether they would be deported back to their countries of granted asylum.

“The plan is to place the illegal immigrants in ‘closed centers’”, Greek Interior Minister Michalis Chrisochoidis told Ioannina-based Sky Radio.

According to him, illegal immigration represents a big problem and “Greece cannot turn a blind eye anymore”. He added that the problem was visible every day in downtown Athens.

Chrisochoidis assessed that the exact number of illegal immigrants in the country could be as high as one million. He added that Greece had to undertake emergency measures to curb illegal immigration so the country would not be thrown out of the Schengen zone.

“The evaluation will be made in June and if we leave Schengen, it will be a huge step back,” the interior minister concluded.

Turkey says France committed genocide in Algeria

2011-12-23T23:14:00.001-08:00

Source: Tanjug

PARIS, ANKARA -- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused France of committing genocide in Algeria.

In the meantime Turkish ambassador in Paris was recalled to Ankara for consultations.
"France massacred an estimated 15 percent of the Algerian population starting from 1945. This is genocide," Erdogan said.

The ruling Republican People's Party has launched a proposal in the Turkish parliament, urging MPs to adopt a resolution based on which all those who denied France’s genocide in Algeria and Rwanda would be sanctioned.

The relations between France and Turkey reached the boiling point after the French parliament had adopted a law that envisages sanctions for denial of genocide against Armenians in 1915.

Turkish Ambassador to France Tahsin Burcuoglu left Paris this morning after the Turkish government had recalled him “for consultations”.

“We are very sad. The Franco-Turkish relations did not deserve this but the damage has already been done,” he said just before he left for Ankara.

The French law has “struck a nerve” since Turkey denies committing the genocide and claims that mass killings in 1915 were a result of WWI.

The French parliament adopted the law that envisaged fines up to EUR 45,000 and up to a year in prison for all those who deny that the genocide was committed against the Armenians.

In Paris, Foreign Minister Alain Juppe termed Turkey’s decision regrettable, and urged the country not to “overreact.”

He said that France had not considered recalling its ambassador from Turkey.

“What I wish is that our Turkish friends will not overreact to this decision by the French National Assembly,” Juppe stressed.

France recognized the 1915 killings as genocide in 2001.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian thanked France, which had "once again proved its commitment to universal human values".

Medvedev receives report on election irregularities

MOSCOW -- Russian investigative bodies have sent President Dmitry Medvedev their preliminary report on election irregularities during the recent campaign and voting.

They compiled a total of 2,091 instances of violations of election regulations, a majority in Moscow - 462.
Most complaints regarding election irregularities were submitted by the Just Russia and the Communist Party of Russia.

It has also been announced in Moscow that 53 criminal complaints were filed, and that investigators are looking into nine cases of election results forgery, five cases of ballot box stuffing, and five voter bribery reports.

The United Russia party won the elections held earlier this month taking 49 percent of the votes, but opposition parties accused the authorities of election fraud.

Opposition observers said that they saw many instances of breaches of election procedures, and posted videos on the internet.

Medvedev and Central Election Committee President Vladimir Churov, however, expressed their doubt about the authenticity of the video material made public in this way.
