Hosu by Patricia Urquiola was featured in the Home section of the New York Times following a successful debut at NeoCon 2012. "Hosu as this happy chair is called, is intended for any easygoing workplace, home offices included. It evolved from research suggesting that wherever people commune with their hand-held digital devices, they like to lounge close to the floor and even sprawl a bit."

Coalesse premieres in Europe

Coalesse exhibited in Europe for the first time this week at the Steelcase in-house event Bavarian Days in Rosenheim, Germany. Coalesse launched in the USA back in 2008, and we’re excited to bring a selection of our portfolio to Europe: SW_1 tables and seating; Hosu; Free Stand; PowerPod; Millbrae and Visalia seating ranges; and CG_1 and Sebastopol occasional table collections. All European portfolio products are manufactured in Europe, but share the same worldwide philosophy of supreme craftsmanship and crossover design. Over the course of two days, hundreds of people had the chance to experience our products and our philosophy. President Frank Merlotti and VP Marketing Karin Gintz presented our story and shared our new brand video, viewable here. We’ll be following up with launches scheduled in France, England, Spain and other European countries through the rest of 2012.
