Book Event on Haiti

FAU's English Department is currently working on archiving all past issues of Coastlines since its inception in 1970. This includes all previous incarnations of the magazine--titles such as Driftwood, Madala, and Good Food.

Art with a Heart

FAU artist Rishona Cann has been named Northwest Medical Center's first "emerging artist." See her work, acrylic on five-foot canvas portraits of Michael Jackson, Leonardo Da Vinci and others, on the Parkland hospital's walls, through July. Her original heart design has been selected as the official logo for the hospital's new open heart program. Rishona, a 2008 studio art graduate, is now working on her teaching certificate. Congrats, Rishona!

Gift of the Sea

Robert Corrao, FAU ’09 art grad, has donated a seascape mural to Boca Raton Community Hospital's Lynn Cancer Institute. Robert and his wife/business partner Amy Schubert worked on the painting at the hospital, so waiting patients and families could watch the work unfold. Robert is also a Coastlines 2010 visual arts contributor. Congratulations!
