Josh & Jennifer initially contacted me to travel to Washington DC for their wedding this coming October, which in itself is a great honor and experience. But the surprising email that I got a month later was a proposal to go to Iceland for Engagement Photos, Josh wanted to know if I would be willing to do that. OF COURSE!!!!! was my answer.  I had second thoughts about traveling there during the winter, but check these out! A big big thanks to Josh & Jennifer for having me along on their adventure to Iceland!

Mike & Amanda were married at one of my favorite locations, Perkins Chapel on the SMU campus. They followed up their ceremony with drinks and snacks with their wedding party at Barcadia on N. Henderson Ave, the location of one of their first dates. Their reception was held at The Room on Main where Mike surprised Amanda with a performance by the famous Bob Schneider, an incredible musician based in Austin.

For my first ever session in College Station I asked Texas A&M Alum’s Macie & Joe to show me around to their favorite places. We explored campus, went to the famous Century Tree, and finished our session in Downtown Bryan, TX. Here are a few of their favorites:

When discussing our options for engagement photo locations, Hailee knew she wanted an outdoor location since she was raised in the country and loved the outdoors. After discussing a few ideas around Dallas, the usual suspects, Hailee came up with the idea to use her Grandmothers ranch as the backdrop. It was a genius decision. Hailee invited me out to Lipan, TX (west of Fort Worth) to her family’s land and I was blown away from the second I pulled up. I loved every minute of it, we discovered so many amazing locations on ranch, I was in heaven. Thanks to Hailee and John for being amazing subjects and providing me a great location! I had so much fun working with you both!

Lanie and Brent’s wedding day started in a beautiful suite at the Gaylord Texan hotel in Grapevine, where the bride and bridesmaids spent time together getting ready. For the wedding ceremony and reception we headed around the corner to Cowboys Golf Club, this is where the adventure began. While they day started out party cloudy, the weather quickly deteriorated. Thankfully Lanie had decided to do a first look, so we were able to get most of the portraits done before the wedding ceremony. Not two minutes into the ceremony did the rain start coming down, the minister quickly jumped to the vows as the sky opened up and the rain came down. These photos tell the rest of the story. Thank you Lanie and Brent for having me on your wedding day!! It was blast, rain and shine!!

Let me tell you why I love Luz & Frist, first Luz found these awesome authentic Parasols and brought them to our session, they both have a quiet elegance about them, they dress impeccably, and finally they are trusting me to shoot their wedding in South Texas next year. They made a special trip up to Dallas to meet with me and knock out this amazing engagement session. I can’t wait to see you both again next year!

I can’t say enough about these two. I had such a great time working with them on their engagement photos. Neither Jessica or Mark live in Dallas, so we actually met for the first time just before their session. We immediately hit it off and I could tell this session would be a blast. They brought a ton of energy and creativity to their session and it ended up being quite entertaining for me, lol. I cannot wait for their wedding next year, it will no doubt be an amazing day full of fun and laughs. Thanks y’all!

Melanie & Sean are lucky folks. Shortly after I shot their bike themed engagement portraits last year, they were in a hit and run accident while on their bikes in Deep Ellum in Dallas. This story was made all the more poignant to me when on their wedding day Sean’s gift to Melanie was a RoadID which is used to provide identification and medical information to first responders. It wast just about the most meaningful wedding day gift I have ever seen.

We headed to one of my favorite locations for Jovan and Billy’s Engagement Photos, the Winspear Opera House and the surrounding area in the AT&T Performing Arts Center. We ended up walking the entire Arts District and then we headed to White Rock Lake for some photos as the sun set. Enjoy some of Jovan’s favorites:

Thomas & Christine are both TCU graduates, so they wanted to be sure and include the Texas Christian University Campus as a backdrop for their engagement photos. We explored the campus together and found some great locations. Afterwards we headed to downtown Fort Worth, to the Water Gardens for a few more photos. Here are a few of Christine’s Favorites.
