FULL FACE Makeup Forever Color Correction TRANSFORMATION

Highlighting Contouring &Color Correcting w/ Makeup Forever's NEW Conceal correct & Sculpt Palette

As always I'm starting out with my Makeup Forever primer ( http://bit.ly/1Sr666e) to make my face match and to help my makeup last longer

next I'm going into the new Makeup Forever conceal and sculpt palette ( http://bit.ly/24p5SnF)

with the deep orange and I'm using this to correct any blue to gray tone or brown blemishes in my face...

Next I am mixing the yellow and deep orange together to create a medium toned peach concealer

that can be used for correction and highlighting my under eye and around my mouth area if you choose

to you can stick with the deep orange color for this step but I wanted a more highlighted appearance...

Making sure to blended in very well is a very important step

next I'm going in with Makeup Forever HD and color number 178 ( http://bit.ly/1Rm43BL) and I'm blending a thin layer all over my face...

Now I am taking the deepest color in the palette and using it to contour the hollows of

my cheeks. I'm using it around my forehead to create shadow and around my jaw line to lessen it.

I am also contouring down my nose now I am going in with the warm golden tone

to use that as a highlight for my t-zone and around my mouth area...

to blend is out I will you be using a beauty blending sponge as well as a fan brush ( http://bit.ly/1mXteyJ) for precision...

now I am going in with the second deepest tone available from the pallets I have,

and I'm using that to blend out my contour this will help everything to look natural

and give my face a multi-dimensional contour and highlight finish

Using the fan brush really helps to blend out the edges and make sure that everything fits nicely from one color to the other without any harsh lines

I am outgoing and with the highlight color from the Makeup Forever palette and I'm going in the high point of my face and adding subtle points of light...

to set my makeup I'm going in with Makeup Forever HD powder ( http://bit.ly/1PZMCFR) on my Smashbox fan brush ( http://bit.ly/1mXteyJ)

and I'm lightly dusting it over the areas that I want to set

I have used mist and fix (http://bit.ly/1T2HmDy) as well to help the process set and last longer

now I'm going in with Makeup Forever 2 and 1 Pro sculpt lip pen and creating a soft color base

colors 10 11 & 50

following this color I will go in with the next shade lightest to create dimension in the center of my lip.

the final steps are for me to add the product from other end of the pen, which adds

dimension in the final color.. I love these to create beautiful ombre lips... and I'm even going in a little bit and overdrawing my lip line ...

and I am blending it all throughout my t-zone to create a natural highlight

and I'm using this on a Smashbox fan brush to create a soft natural contour...

to reverse highlight my contour I'm using my (face toned) Makeup Forever in 178

creating a defined edge under my contour...

Now I am going in with some Makeup Forever 185 ( http://bit.ly/1Rm43BL) and contouring my nose

and blending it out with an NYX brush http://bit.ly/1Qijyg0 as well as my Beautyblender (http://bit.ly/21bjbZT)

I'm using my Naked flushed palette (http://bit.ly/1QuJzT0) from Urban Decay today to highlight

I am using the brightest highlight tone on The high point of my face around my mouth and nose...

And blending it out with a beauty blending sponge (http://bit.ly/21bjbZT) helps it to look more natural

I am using NYX blush in double dare (http://bit.ly/1NsQ8UO) blush on the apples of my cheeks

and I'm using a little bit more than usual to give this a really bright springy look

I am also using it in my eye area.. top and bottom and in the crease blended all the way out with a dark brown eyeshadow.

I used dermablend powder on my Beauty Blender (http://bit.ly/21bjbZT) to set all over.

on my lips I am using Anastasia Beverly Hills lip gloss (http://bit.ly/1QiS1on) Neon Orange & Melon

and I used some dark brown cream liner to line my lips and then used a little bit more of a dark brown Brow liner...

Building a freelance makeup artist kit is somewhat of an art.

The way I like to decide how to build a kit is based on what type of makeup I'll be doing, for whom for what and what purpose the makeup will serve; is it a fashion show? Is it a photo shoot? Is it for the prom or a wedding? Each particular type of makeup style calls for different ingredients products and kit needs.

I start building my kit from the face, starting from what products I need first, to last. I start with cleansers toners moisturizers and primer then I move on to color corrector, concealer, foundation blush, bronzer, highlighter and finishing spray.

The easiest way to break this down is into skin types. Dry oily and combination of course there is a normal skin type but usually normal skin types can fall into one of these categories as well...

Another way I'd like to decide how to build my kit is based on the skin tones of people I will be doing, ages as well as their makeup needs. If will I be doing makeup on teenagers with oily skin and acne or middle aged women with more dry your skin types or 30 somethings with combination skin. I also like to decide whether or not my kit will need to be an on-the-go kit or will I be staying on set....

Some other factors to take into consideration is Air brush/waterproof and special effects makeup as well as makeup for body and non facial features....

The best products you can have in your freelance makeup artist kit will be multi purpose products products that can be used in a pallet, great for ALL skin types... as well as products that do not necessarily have to come from the makeup profession; the reason I stress this is because it will save you time and money and space regarding your makeup kit....

I recommend buying a lot of your items from places such as dollar stores and wholesale purchase areas because you will be able to save money on items such as pallets (which can be found in art stores) q-tips, sponges, baby wipes & makeup storage (which can be found in dollar stores).

Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Review + Demo

I'm a little tardy to the party when it comes to the Marc Jacobs Genius Gel.
Better late than never! I showed up in just enough time to have a piece of cake
some watered down jungle juice and a dance with my friend's creepy uncle.

LOL

I digress. Now that I am hip to this foundation I am QUITE fond.

The first color I purchased coco deep 86 was a good match for the perimeter of my face
but not for the center. So I mixed in some Lancome teint miracle in 500w. They play
VERY well together and made for a nice pairing, but I didn't feel I was really experiencing
the full potential of the Marc Jacobs.

I went back to Sephora and purchased cocoa medium 84. I used 86 on the edges of my face and
cheekbones and 84 on the center. I would HAVE to say this is one of THE best color payoffs I have
achieved. I have had some GREAT success with other foundation Makeup forever HD #178 is AMAZING one color needed... but really pops with a contour and bronzer. Lancome my BAE... Teint Idole ultra in 540w is AMAZING. Only one color needed for the most part, but I also like to ad in a great highlighted dimensional look.

I say all that to say that I know a good foundation when I use it. This IS IT!

The wear is light and invisible. The coverage is medium yet buildable. It's a gel so it does have a rapid dry time but not as fast as many matte finish foundations. The texture is light and really lets your skin shine. It doesn't have a smell (though I've heard otherwise) and it applies like a DREAM with my "Pink-a-dot" brushes!

Jordana Complete cover 2 in 1 Concealer & Foundation

SO, if you follow me on YOUTUBE you'll know that I'm a HUGE +Lancome USA fiend. Period. Following close.. but not toooooo closely is +MakeupForever...

For drugstore I have been LOVING +L'ORÉAL PARiS (tru match) and now this Jordana.

It will be released in February 2015. YOU MUST get your hands on this. When I received it my friend Giselle swatched it... and her WHOLE jaw dropped... OMG she goes "this feels like the Estee Lauder"... which I am also a fan of as well.

So my friend +QueenGesus compared this foundation which will cost all of $2- $3.99 in Walgreens, to a $50 product.

I tried it on my hand & LOVED it . Wore it on my face the next day mixed with some moisturizer just to run some errands, and I AM ENAMORED!

THE BREAKDOWN

Texture | Soft and creamy. It's very well pigmented.

Coverage | The name says it ALL. Maximum coverage!
it's buildable and great if you suffer from hyper-pigmentation
GREAT for under eye and BOMB for highlighting and contouring.

Color Choice | I LOVE the color choices. They have a GREAT color

called "Golden honey" and if you are South Asian you will LOVE this color. It's deep, yet

still olive toned- and AMAZIIING!

Wear | It wears SO well. I would say it's best for combo skin. While it does not have a

matte finish "oily girls" can wear it too. With a GREAT primer this foundation is a STAR!

Users with dry skin will also LOVE this as an option!

Scent | No noticeable scent or reaction from this formulation.

Perks | I have heard great things about Jordana foundation before, but HONESTLY the old packaging was NOT my fave. I LOVE this new tube. The packaging got me on bored.

I feel as though it looks professional and I would be proud to use this on gigs...

Draw Backs | Ummmm ok so I know some people have an issue finding this

brand. I will say Walgreens and "the beauty supply store" are my go to places for this brand.

The Finish | In my Eddie Murphy voice "What is this Velvet" LOL it is SO soft

and smooth... it goes on HIGH END. Like a luxury moisturizer.

Conclusion | I LOVE it. LOL. It will be added into my routine. I use mahogany as a contour and Golden toffee as my base and LOVE golden caramel as a highlighter.

Rating | 5 STARS YES!

I give it 5 stars because of the price and the packaging!

I also salute this foundation because this brand continuously

grows and grows.. I like that!

Beautifully pigmented and creamy.

I am VERY excited about these +NYX Cosmetics High Voltage lipsticks.

The array of color is amazing, as to be expected with NYX..

They NEVER spare the drama.

Definitely the kings of inexpensive prestige makeup brands, in my opinion...

My favorite products from NYX have to their skin prep & finishing

products.

i.e (primers and finishing sprays)

Next favorite is for sure their lip products! I was pretty excited to get invited to their

annual after IMATS party... It was a Masquerade ball and it was beautifully

adorned with projected NYX logos and makeup

and cupcakes & a flip book booth, OH MY!

I HAD to do a quick review on the new objects of my affection...

I've had a few days to play with them here are my thoughts...

Texture | Creamy moisturizing more of a balm consistency. I find that they go on better

and stay on longer when your lips are moisturized and hydrated, yet not wet to the touch.

Color Choice | I LOVE the color choices! They have the 90's colors we all love... The un shakable HOT orange and warm purple tones that has been killing for like 4 years now and some beautifulllll

mauves... I love the nudes available as well!

A veritable rainbow of awesome lip days and nights... I can see it.. falling asleep in a 5 color purple ombre lip..

This in my future REALLY!

The wear | They wear pretty well to be as moisturizing as they are, and like most lip products

they last longer & wear a bit better with a lip liner or base.

The Scent These have a baby soft hint of vanilla. Super clean and undetectable even to

the most scent-setive of noses.

Perks | They layer well! I have created SO many ombré lips looks with these lippies it's crazy!

I love that you can have fun with so many at once!

Drawbacks | Slim to none. As to be expected some colors are more pigmented.

The reds (of corse the brown tones and the purples) reign supreme....

Conclusion | I LOVE that they have SO many warm and cool counter parts!

I love the slim packaging

& the fact that you can se the color straight away!

I love that the are virtually scent free & layer sooo well!

The Finish | Some have more of a buttery finish a few of the reds

and the dark purple finish almost like a liquid lipstick. Very smooth velvety even!

I can't WAIT for these to be available in mattes (because I know they will) ...

That is THE only thing I can really comment on.

Great Concealer for Dark skin NARS Lancome & More

Hi guys!!

Just wanted to stop by and share some of my current favorite concealers. They are high end and I will answer this response with a drug store version. When it comes to concealer and complexion makeup you have to be aware or your preferences and why they're important. Skin type, tone and texture ALL need to be taken into consideration.

Here are my coordinates

Type | Combination to oily
Tone | Warm & cool depending on area and blemish type.
Texture | My skin is fairly smooth, but I tend to have enlarged pores from time to time.

So with this information I decide to purchase

Waterproof or resistant concealers that have a mixture of tones... My skin is semi smooth so a
little shimmer is ok.. but it's also combination to oily so it's not necessary.. Meaning I could go for a matte finish If I wanted....

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in "Amande" (http://bit.ly/1HYBULX)

I am a BIG fan of this product. It is APTLY named. Creamy and radiant! It is warm in tone so I tend to use it a a highlighting concealer. It has a slight shimmer to it and is creamy.. so this would also be great for dryer skin types. The best part about it is the finish and pigmentation. It doesn't finish
too creamy or dry and a little goes a long way... It really does a beautiful job of lifting
the eye area....

Ok so if you watch my youtube videos you'll KNOW how I feel about +Lancome USA . I BEEN a fan mannnn! LOL... SO it's NO surprise that Effecernes is my bae. It's water proof which I LOVE b/c unlike the +NARS Cosmetics is gives you that beautiful MATTE dry finish us Oily girls crave! It's beauuuuutiful. Under Brown under eye around my mouth... it's a GREAT product, buuuut that's how Lancome does.

BEEN a fan! I LOVE this concealer... LOL it's a beautiful cooler tone so around my moth and in my

This is my FIRST +Dior complexion product. I have had cheek and lip products from the perfume and mascara... so trying this, was a treat! Let me say I was PLEASANTLY surprised... Well, I wasn't surprised. Dior is a high end brand synonymous with prestige... While I was not surprised by the quality... I WAS surprised by the color selection. I was very happy to have a great match. It's creamy and has really nice pigmentation. It has a very natural finish.. No shimmer it's not matte and it's a very comfortable wear.. It definitely is a great concealer for girl who NEED and really desire a very natural finish.

SO the MAC palette has to be the best value for the money... You get the best of ALL worlds..
it's creamy yet not TOO much... you can set it.. It has several shade for highlighting contouring and color correction... This is a "gateway" palette.. it mixes and matches and makes EVERYTHING work... They have a few different shade of this palette.. I am medium but also want the dark palette. The Dark palette has a GREAT orange corrector that is FABULOUS for color correction... the only reason I can't give it 5 is I'm more of a dry finish type NO SHADE this is an awesome palette! +MAC Cosmetics

Skin Needling? vs Co2 Laser BEST for skin?

If you watch my YouTube videos, you'll know I have been on a quest for my best skin ever. Well, the best I can get it. Clear, smooth, balanced and well hydrated skin is my goal, this post is about HOW I am achieving it!

The first improvements I wanted to make were to my spots of hyper pigmentation aka "The Ghosts of acne's past". SO armed with 2 weeks worth of Google research I decided to try fractional Co2 laser.

Fractional CO2 Skin Resurfacing. Fractional CO2 resurfacing can erase years from your face and dramatically improve the appearance of wrinkles and pigment, but it is not a lunchtime procedure. “In the past, traditional carbon dioxide laser treatments removed the entire surface of the skin.

If you know anything about lasers (which I did not) you'll know that they are NOT always recommended for the care of "dark skin". I had a consultation with Dr.Martin of Metro MD and her assured me that at his clinic he knew the proper temperatures to not burn my skin, which would result in more hyper pigmentation.

Services I had Preformed

PRP Facial $1200

PRP is a natural product created from your own body. A small amount of blood is drawn from you and placed in a sterile tube that is spun down in a centrifuge to separate the different components of the blood. Red and white blood cells are divided from the platelets and the plasma (the clear fluid). This plasma now contains a higher than normal number of platelets and is called platelet rich plasma, or PRP and can be re injected into areas and can repair itself.

Fractional CO2Laser Package of 3 treatments $2500

Fractional CO2 resurfacing can erase years from your face and dramatically improve the appearance of wrinkles and pigment. Tiny wounds are made and the surrounding healthy skin helps with healing, making new collagen and elastin.

3 sessions + prp = $3000

Above you can see what my face looks like during and after. Immediately after my skin is fine. on the first day for the first few hour post procedure... you skin will be sensitive. If you have a more pale complexion you will be VERY red i'm sure... The following days my skin gets flaky scabs up and peels off within a week. The process is relatively painless and after 3 days you can wear makeup.

The only down side is the recovery period, though short.. your skin does go through a Freddy Krueger like stage...

Skin Needling is a procedure that uses multiple needles less than 0.25mm in diameter, to pierce the skin and create tiny injuries deep in the skin. These dermal injuries lead to new collagen formation via the normal skin repair mechanisms.

Above you can see what my face looks like during a typical semi aggressive dermal rolling session. I used lidocaine on my face for 45 mins prior to treating, and it's painless. I LOVE the fact that I can do this at home for less than $10. I also like the fact that there is relatively NO down time. The results can be seen within the first couple of week of you rolling. The only down side it there isn't as much of an immediate gratification here.. it's time tested. The few changes I noted immediately were in the collagen production... I feel my face looks a lot smoother. My cheek and nasal labia folds definitely LOVE dermal rolling.

I will also say that Dermal rolling is not for the squeamish or fait at heart. You have to commit and press those needles INTO YOUR FACE... No Doctor's help...

Which do I prefer

If you have the money, and DON'T have the I'd say you will LOVE the 4-5 day turn around getting Laser work can provide you. Making sure you have the RIGHT doctor is key. If you have the right doctor I would say that this can and will save your face within a few pain free treatments..

If you have minor to sever imperfections but can't invest upwards of $2000 I'd say Dermal Rolling or
Skin needling is for you. You not only can control your treatment, but, you get to watch as you repair your skin. It's an AWESOME learning experience and you can use Dermal Rollers ALL over your body.

Fall has to be one of my favorite seasons and with the re- emergence makeup styles from the nineties I decided to go with this classic look taken straight from one of my favorite decades.

For the base of this look you're going to start with benefit Porefessional primer it's a skin smoothing line shrinking primer and it's one of my favorites after that I'm going to go in with Becca ever matte and I love this because my skin is oily.

This is going to be a pretty high end. I'm next going to go in with my Lancome teint Idole 24 hour Ultra in 520 warm I'm going to apply this with one of my favorite Real Techniques brushes for an even hd finish...

For the center of my face I'm going to go in with Lancome teint miracle and also some of their concealer. I'm going to combine them and staple them through the center of my face and in my eyebrow area... This really helps to give your face definition and it really helps for your cheekbones to stand out. For contouring I'm going to use fashion fair teak, its nice and dark its not sooo cool so it really goes nicely with my skin. (see image Below)

To ad a touch more highlight I used Loreal True match crayon corrector in w678

My final steps are to just go in and set everything using a few Ben Nye powders as well as my hourglass ambient light powder palette. To set my contour I use my Maybelline fit me powder in 355.

I used an anastasia of beverly hills brow powder duo in ebony to complete my natural brows. The rest of the look consists of highlight my brows with my ambient lights... & an LA Girls gel liner cat eye.

For blush I'm going to go in with Mac dirty plum and blended up my cheeks apple with a BH Cosmetics double ended makeup brush for a highlighter I will go in with NARS new order.

I chose to chow two lip looks. The first consisted of a brown lip liner and Revlon mink. The Second consisted of the same brown lip liner plus the liptar Black Dahlia from OCC Cosmetics.

My Cosmed Clinic Thermage experience

Hi Guys,

SO if you follow my Blog or Youtube channel you'll know that I love going to Mexico! It's so close to California, and so inexpensive. You can do anything from clubbing and medical procedures to working and living. I now have a few friends who work in San Diego and live in TJ and visa versa.

I have had my teeth done in TJ for an AMAZING discount at a beautiful facility by qualified doctors and nurses. So deciding to review CosMed Clinic in TJ was a no brainer. The have a beautiful facility in a prime safe location very near the US MX boarder.

The first few things about CosMed is that it's not only a Full blown surgical center complete with large scale surgery rooms, emergency rooms, pharmacies a Dental facility but they also have a recovery hotel.

They CosMed team consists of a host of plastic surgeons, general doctors and nurses dentists, dermatologists and obviously a stellar cleaning staff.. because this place was immaculate.

You will be picked up and dropped off at the border by a CosMed driver. The Driver will have a medical pass so transport will be swift and drame free! did I mention if you don't need a passport? ID and Birth Certificate of another form of photo ID if you are a US citizen...

Corset Collection + Waist training tips

I am a big fan of the vintage pass time of waist training. Maybe you want a small waist, you want your hips to look wider... maybe you like challenging yourself and your body. Maybe you have too much or too little curve. Whatever your reason for corseting there are some things you should know.

As a non pro I scoured the internets for the BEST corset training tips and answers to FAQ I could find.

Eating | I tend to eat several small meals throughout the day with or without my corset. I feel as though It helps me to maintain comfort and aids in better digestion. I also try to stay away from carbonated beverages and anything too filling or things that will make me bloat

i.e soda's, sweet juices and large helping or green veggies.

Sleeping | I tend to be able to sleep in all my corsets. I don;t feel as though this make a HUGE difference in results physically, however when I do sleep in my corset... wearing it throughout the day is a lot easier. Also, when I sleep in my corset I make certain to use it over a soft cotton garment for my comfort and sanitary purposes.

Lacing | Lacing your corset (when they have laces) for the 1st time is VERY important to your waist training results. Tightening your laces to much too fast can cause your corset bones to warp. Your corset needs a few days to a week to get used to the shape of your frame as it slowly conforms..

Results/ Efficacy | as stated in my video below, corset training is NOT a diet and should not be used to lose weight. You will retain longterm results with patience and discipline. Diet, lifestyle and consistency is key to getting ANY result. Results are NOT permanent and require constant corset use. Via experience I've learned that I personally see results with 8hr wear over the course of a few - several months.
