What's Inside My Chanel?

I love "What's in my purse" posts!

It's a little like peeking behind the closed curtain haha.

I keep all of my things organized in these 3 organizers. I use to use wallets but my Chanel's don't really accommodate a wallet because the purse is more compact in size (and maybe it's also because I also tote everything and the kitchen sink hahaha!)

My little gold Chanel card holder holds all of my debit/credit/gift cards and anything else and it keeps it all organized and compact!

In my Louis Vuitton I keep all of my many many beauty things. Hair ties, hair clips, bobby pins, a mini container of lotion, Bath & Body works antibac, black eyelash glue (have you ever been out when half of your false eyelash is coming off. IT'S HORRIBLE ahahahahaha.)

Lots of lip stuff hahaha I can't live without lipstick options. I swear by Revlon and NYX black lipsticks! I know it might be excessive to carry a minimum of 4 lipsticks and 2 lip glosses (the lipglosses are Georgio Arman & E.L.F.) with me everywhere but I tend to find when I bring less every time I'm out I'm always looking for that particular lipstick I left at home ARGH! hahahaha.

In my Marc by Marc Jacobs pouch I keep a little money pouch that I put cash and change in, Chanel foundation compact, a little pill container I got in Amsterdam that I store Tylenol & Advil, a little container of La Mer moisturizing gel that I lovveee especially when I'm traveling the airplane is a killer on my face! And my keys & my pink mace hahahaha! Yes I am the ultimate girly girl even my mace is pink ahahaha.

I love keeping everything in separate containers because it's easier to sort through and find things but even more when I'm switching purses it's easy to take out these 3 "compartments" and plop them into a different bag and I'm off! :)

Randomness + Mini summer shoe haul!

Been living out of my suitcase the last couple of months bouncing between Germany, Maryland and Texas! I've found that having the right travel accessories is essential to making travel easy and seamless. I like brightly colored travel accessories to keep my "necessities" (The Hubs and I differ on what are consider necessities bahahaha!)

I posted a posted a photo on FB and tweeted my travel cases but upon request I took some photos of the inside so you can see what I travel with.

In the pink floral case that I got at F21 I have extra false eye lashes and makeup brushes. In the Tory Burch/Target/Neiman Marcus collab lunchbox bag I store all of my makeup "essentials" hahaha.

Generally when it's just a short trip I usually only pack like 2 to 4 sets of lashes and I just shove all the lashes and makeup brushes in the same TB bag but since I knew I'd be on the road for a few months bouncing between so many different locations I stocked up on a whole bunch of lashes at Ulta and Target so I'm keeping them separate in the pink case.

As you can see the TB/NM/Target box fits A LOT!! If you can still find the TB lunchboxes at your local Target or Neiman's you should definitely snag one they are awesome as a travel makeup bag because it opens up and sits flat on the bathroom sink (I hate the makeup bags where everything is shoved in together and the zipper is on the top of the bag and you have to take EVERYTHING out just to find something!). The inside of the bag can easily be wiped down with a Lysol or Clorox wipe if you're a germaphobe like me haha.

It opens up to a multi-compartment jewelry case!! I love it so much! It packs really flat (I shove it in between my clothes to keep in protected) and when it opens up I can see everything clearly so it makes getting ready a breeze and makes packing up easy too :) I'm pretty sure F21 still has these I saw them in F21 just last week!

I just discovered these Special K cracker chips at Target. Omg love hahahaha. They taste sort of like healthy Pringles. I was sort of scared they would taste like rice crackers.. I know a lot of people that are trying to eat healthier or watching their weight are big fans of Popchips but they taste too rice cracker-y to me.. I prefer the taste of these a lot more.

OMG this was freakin' good it had real pumpkin pie & huge graham cracker chunks blended with their crazy delicious custard ice cream. This was the mini size as you can see I photographed it next to the tiny salt shaker.

BTW I was all proud that I had so much "restraint" and got the mini sized well when I got home and looked up the calories on this bad boy it was 500 calories. -___- #FML!

Le sigh but it was delicious and worth it hahahaha.

Hubs lovessss pizza.

I mean lives for it.. his last meal on earth would be pizza.

Grimaldi's is a pizza chain out of Brooklyn so I figured it had to be good!

They specialize in New York style thin crust pizza cooked in a coal fired brick oven.

Well it was DELICIOUS!!!

We're traditionalists we got a pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza.

I generally hate crust.. and find it to be a total waste of one's calories and stomach space so you know a pizza is good when I can't stop eating even the crust hahaha!

Even their Caesar was crazy delicious.. I seriously wanted to order another one.. nom nom nom! I love a good Caesar dressing where you can taste the anchovies!! hehehehe!

To walk off dinner we walked around and fell upon a Louis Vuitton store ahahahahahaha.

The Vernis line is probably my absolute favorite LV collection. And the pink and chartreuse green colors are such a cute combination. I'm thinking a pink patent LV bag w/ a green patent wallet inside?? Are you listening Hubby ahahahah JK. sorta. :p

This Mother's Day (weekend.. yes it stretched into a weekend celebration!) was really special for me.. I don't think I've been able to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom in over a decade yes a DECADE because I was living all over the US and recently in a completely different continent!

Alexander Wang Rockie in Acid w/ shiny gold hardware!!!

A lot of you maybe familiar with the ever popular Alexander Wang Rocco which has been out for a few years already.

I have always loved the Rocco but whenever I tried it on I always felt like it was just a tad too big and "baggy" for my tastes since I was so used to carrying very structured Chanel flaps.

Well apparently I wasn't the only one that felt this way because they recently birthed the "Rockie" for those of us that loved the Rocco but just wanted it in a smaller version :)

The bag measures 8" x 10" x 7" and weighs just under 3lbs.

I was really concerned about the weight because of the studs on the bottom of the bag.. and while I haven't used "her" yet but I actually find it to be lighter then my Chanel jumbos!

Whenever I'm out with my mom and I have my hands full or something she offers to hold my Chanel bag she never fails to mention how heavy my jumbos are heh.....

So excited because I've been wanting a more "throw around" bag for awhile.. I use my Chanel jumbo's on the daily but I often find them to be difficult to use because of how structured they are... they are really limiting in what can be carried in them.

Whereas the Rockie is a lot softer and smooshy and the bag can expand a bit to fit all your odds and ends :)

On this side of the bag if you see the middle part sticks out a little bit and that is because.....

It has two secret zippered compartments which you can store things like a card holder, cash, train tickets ect!

I tested using the bag around the house and the one particular design detail that I absolutely adore with is the bowling bag style zipper - it is preciously why I find this bag SOOOO darn cute. However it is admittedly a bit difficult to open if you're standing up like at a cash register waiting to pay or something. So you can just stash some of your cards and cash in the side zippered pockets.

The bag handle drop measures 4" and the remove able "crossbody" strap measures 19"

I put the word "crossbody" in quotes because while it may be crossbody for some people it doesn't really wear crossbody comfortably on me and I'm not even that tall HAHA. I'm 5'5 and it rests a little bit past my waistline.. so it's at a really awkward height. But if you're carrying groceries in.. have your hands full ect. then it can definitely be "crossbody" in a pinch.

I also wanted to mention the Rockie in Acid comes in TWO different versions.

The version I have is a smooth leather w/ gold hardware and studs and is a few inches smaller in size then the other version. Also the color is more of a muted lime green.

Whereas the other version of the Rockie in Acid is actually a much brighter neon yellow and is made out of pebbled leather, has nickel colored hardware and studs, is a few inches bigger then my version and is slighter more expensive. You can view my version here and the other version here.

I also found this comparison photo online of them side by side which you can view here.

I wanted to explain that there are two versions to this bag because funny enough I didn't realize there were two versions and for months I would randomly go into Neimans/Saks/Nordie's to go look at the bag and they NEVER had both versions so whenever I would see the smooth muted lime green versions w/ shiny gold studs I was literally salivating.. and then I would go some where else and I would see the pebbled neon yellow version w/ dark nickel hardware and couldn't figure out why I didn't LOVE it as much as I did the LAST time I saw it.

BAHAHAHAHAHA.

And then after doing a bunch of research online I finally realized there were TWO VERSIONS.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

Basically a fancy way of saying "setting powder" hahaha

My mom got a $25 dollar GC to Neiman Marcus and very generously gave it to me!

WOOT!

Which I used it to purchase part of this... I've been eyeing this for a loooong while but couldn't justify the purchase because it is sooo pricey. But after purchasing it (and yes while I paid for half of it with a GC) there's SOOOOO SO much product I actually think even full price this plastic tub (the container is HUGE!) will last me a looooooooong long time! Definitely worth it!

It comes with a cute little "Chanel" powder puff but I don't use it I use a giant kabuki brush and do a light dusting over my face after I put on my foundation. It makes my skin look sooooo so good! Gives it just that little bit of extra coverage and makes my skin look sooo smooth I use to use the MUFU HD and this by far is soooooooooooo so much better! There's 4 colors and I got the 2nd lightest out of 4 - Translucent 2.

Also during the day time when I'm in a rush or not wanting to do a "full face" of makeup I use BB Cream and do a light dusting of this product and it gives that perfect fresh faced no makeup/makeup look!

Which is fairly unusual for me as I NEVER wear white!! Mostly because I'm a total klutz and I will undoubtedly without fail get whatever it that I am wearing that is white in color dirty. And only the white part.. not the black part or any other color part JUST the white part. muhaha. What gives?! bahahaha!

I can't help feel a bit like a 80's mod girl a bit in today's outfit post hehe.. maybe my tee shirt?? Or perhaps my necklace?? or a combination :p haha.

I went in to buy my FAVORITE piece of chocolate from them. I only buy chocolate from Godiva ONCE a year because my favorite piece of chocolate from them is a seasonal piece and is only available during spring around Easter and that is the Almond Butter chocolate egg. OMG EFFIN' GOOD.

Dude Godiva is really generous these days.. I paid $2 bucks for all of the chocolate above! They gave me 3 free pieces!!! WHHHHAAAT! hahahaha

My Favorite DC Museum - National History Museum!

Took The Hubs to my absolute favorite museum in Washington DC - The National History Museum!

Dinosaurs Galore!

This is totally dorky but see the dinosaur on the right with the long tall neck and the long tail? It's called a Diplodocus and it's my absolute favorite dinosaur in the whole world AHAHAHAHA.

Why? I don't know but I've liked it ever since I was a small child and I still love them.. they just look so graceful and elegant HAHAHA :p

This diamond necklace was a "push present" French Emperor Napoleon gave his from wife the Empress Marie Louise muhahah to commemorate the birth of their first son!

It appears my love affair with camo does not seem to be waning in the slightest. muhahaha. I was a little concerned that I would only be able to wear camo in the fall but I think it still looks cute during spring (and hopefully summer too hehe) with shorts or skirts!

MIU MIU BLUSH REVEAL!

I SWEAAAAAAAAAAAAAR this is my LAST Miu Miu reveal! (at least that's what the Hubs hopes bahahaha!). I'm sorry I can't help it I think I'm addicted to Miu Miu shoes.. they just make the cutest, feminine, whimsical shoes ever!!

But these were sooo so cute and they were 40% off and in my size.. and they were calling my name.. and I swear I'll get a lot of wear out of them and

I know I've been on a serious wedge kick lately. I'm obsessed!!

You may remember the reveal I did last year w/ these Miu Miu wedges. When I first got them in the mail I couldn't stop wearing those they were so comfortable and when I found these I almost had a heart attack. I mean blush pink and gold sparkles?! How could I not?! muhahaha

LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! <3 <3 <3

These are slightly different then the black Miu Miu wedges these have T-strap design.

But the back is my favorite part they have two straps of gold glitter on the back they look SOOO cute hooked on to the back of your feet!

They are made out of suede and have glitter on the straps. One thing I really love about Miu Miu is the attention to detail. If you will notice there's no glitter near the buckle area of the strap because obviously buckling and unbuckling will cause the glitter to shed so instead they actually coated that particular area with a type of gold metallic paint.

They are the same height as the black ones they measure 4 and 3/4 inches w/ a 1 and 1/2 inch platform.

And have I mentioned that I love them?? bahaha.

I love that it's a blush nude color because they really help to give the illusion of a more elongated leg.

I have to admit I'm a tad petrified about wearing them out because of the fact that it's a blush color and it's in suede!! It'll be like a magnet for rain and dirt and mud ARGH! hahaha but they were to pretty to pass up!

I'll just wear them only in an indoor mall or something. bahahahahaha

I'm warning you I think you'll be seeing these A LOT in my spring and summer OOTD's!!! :) muahahaha!!

I have a couple of pairs of leather leggings that I love and wear quite frequently but I've been on the hunt for a pair of leather pants that would wear more like trousers versus being skintight like leggings. And I think I've found it with this pair from F21! I must admit I'm totally guilty of living in leggings... it started with regular cotton leggings, then moved on to jean leggings.. than leather leggings ARGH. Totes guilty of passing off leggings as pants! But I really love the trouser feel to these leather pants! Even though I love my leather leggings I find that the leather pants seem to give the outfit a bit more structure that often gets lost with leggings.

With the monochromatic black look I felt like was a perfect excuse to pull out my sparkly A. McQueen's! I really don't get to wear these as much as I'd like.. it really can be difficult to pair sparkly shoes with everyday clothes haha.

Mini Chanel reveal time!

I have a very small collection of Chanel costume jewelry just 2 pieces (now 3 :)!

The first one is the Chanel pearl necklace you see in the above picture that The Hubs purchased for me during our first trip to Paris for our 1st wedding anniversary.

The 2nd I revealed here a vintage gold Chanel piece that the Hubs surprised me with recently.

I actually don't really believe in buying designer costume jewelry because it is quite pricey (now don't get me wrong I LOVE costume jewelry I just don't really believe in spending a lot of money on it because I feel if you're going to spend a lot of money then it's better to invest in fine jewelry! Habit of nature because I use to work at Tiffany & Co. so I can't help but think that way :p)

But I had been searching for a very particular piece of Chanel costume jewelry for a loooong time. Something that Chanel is well known for. I've searched for it in just about every Chanel store I've visited in the US, throughout Europe and even Asia! I've actually tried on about a dozen different ones but I just couldn't find one that I was in LOVE LOVE with.

Well I finally found it! WOOT!! :)

Crystal CC Brooch!!

I love it!!

I've tried on SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SOO many Chanel pins!!

I think it's just so classic and chic pinned on just about anything a blazer, wool winter coat, a dress shirt and even a simple tee-shirt!

I especially love it pinned on my Chanel pearl necklace.. it's kinda of neat because it sort of blends into my pearl Chanel CC necklace so it looks like it's one giant necklace w/ the tiny pearl CC's and the one giant over sized crystal CC's!

They've made Chanel "CC" pins in a bajillion different styles.. and I've tried on so many different ones from flower motif ones to pearl encrusted ones.. and they just weren't "me".

Well as all of you know I just adore "bling" anything hahahaha.

If it sparkles I love it.. I'm like a bird hahaha!

The Sacramento Kings are owned by Adrienne Maloof from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so you know I spent the majority of the game scanning the court side seats vs. actually paying attention to the basketball game. Priorities right? :p Didn't spot her sadly booo ::SAD FACE::

I thought this was so neat you can eat dinner at the bar and it opens up right to the court so you can have a nice dinner while watching the game!
