Mac Haul - Iris Apfel, Naturally and a few others

       Today I wanted to share with you some of the things I have picked up recently from some Mac Collections. As we all know it Mac comes out with a collection like ever other week and It's so hard to keep up and a killer for my wallet. The first two collections that came out after Christmas were Daphne Guinness and Tour De Fabulous. Although both these collections had some really pretty things I only picked up one item per collection. I bought the Cremesheen Glass in Narcissus from Daphne Guinness which is a beautiful dark plummy color and I don't have anything similar to it in my collection. I also only picked up the lipglass Tour De Fabulous from the other collection. Out of the 11 lipglasses this was the most unique to me. It's a peachy/coral color. I wanted a few other colors but didn't need them since I had similar ones already.

       The Next two Collections were the big ones for me. Let's start with Iris Apfel..at first I didn't even look twice at this collection and before I knew it all the lipsticks sold out within the day the collection came online. I was pretty Shocked and thought I would be okay to go to my local counter to pick up a few items. The day they came out to my counter I called them up in the evening to put a few things on hold and to only find out that all the lipsticks were sold out :( I was really upset with my self for not getting the things I wanted when I had the chance and the following day I called around a few stores and was able to get 2 lipsticks and 1 eyeshadow. I got Party Parrot l/s, Flamingo l/s and Robin's Egg e/s. But I still wanted the lipstick Pink Pigeon and I called about 8 mac counters but they were all out and I gave up hope on ever getting it. I'm happy with the two I did get because they are gorgeous and Very Vibrant. The texture is amazing as well and they are new matte finish. These two have become my new bright favourites. Then I went to my counter to check out the Naturally collection. This collection is the complete opposite of Iris Apfel and is similar to collections like Blonde, Red and Brunette and N collection. It has really soft neutral lipsticks and glosses . It also has a few mineralize eyeshadows but nothing stood out to me enough to pick up. I ended up with one lipstick 2 glosses 1 blush and 1 mineralize skinfinish. I was most excited for the blush I got from this collection because the color is just amazing. It's a Warm Apricot and I own a lot of peachy/corally colors but nothing like this. I haven't worn this blush yet but I can't wait to try it on. I was also excited for the #286 e/s brush in this collection. This brush was in one of the Holiday Brush sets and I got to try it when I bought that and loved it so much that I picked up 2 of them since it's limited edition.

       Lastly I picked up a few eyeshadows that are being discontinued and I figured I shall back them up now since who knows when they will come back again :( some of the goodbyes are actually really nice colors that I already owned and use quite often so this had to happen. These purchases were completely not planned but I went into panic mode and had to pick them up. Hope you like my haul and let me know if you picked up anything from any of the collections. Fotd: Naked2

I have had my Naked2 palette for awhile now. I ordered it they day Urban Decay announced it on twitter and was lucky enough to get it the first time before it kept getting sold out. When I received it I was very excited to play with it but then it just sat on my table for days. I would look at it and then put it away but never actually used it. I was also going to write up a full review of the Naked 2 palette and compare it to the original naked palette. But every blog and site and YT vid had a review on it so I decided never to post it. It's an awesome palette with some beautiful neutral colors the texture of the eyeshadows is really nice as well. If you have the original then I'm not sure if you really need the Naked2 but I have really enjoyed mine a lot.

So enough with the rambling let's get back to the Fotd. Tonight I went out for dinner and I knew I wanted to use my Naked2 and I also knew I wanted to use colors that I had not used before. I came up with this look were I used YDK, Snakebite ( which I think is my favorite color in the palette) and a little bit of Busted at the outer corners. I paired this look up with a pink shimmery gloss because I really wasn't feeling a lipstick. I hope you guys enjoy this look. Revlon Lip Butters

Revlon lip butters I mean who hasn't heard about them ? Everyone and there grandma is talking about this product lol. Some love it and some are not a big fan. Me on the other hand have fallen in love with this product. So when I first heard about the lip butters I wasn't too sure what to think and I was on a hunt to get them but were unable to find them anywhere. I got lucky about three weeks ago when I went to Ulta near my house. I was so excited to see a huge display of Revlon Lip Butters. My mom had never seen me get so excited over a drugstore product before and after I told her all about the lip butters she even ended picking up a few.

I have been using them for about three weeks now and I have a total of 6 of them . I'm not a big drugstore makeup person (not that there is anything wrong with drugstore products but I never get a break from Mac or Sephora) but I have become addicted to these babies. They are super creamy and moisturizing and give my lips that dew look without looking overly shiny. A lot of people have been saying that they are not really moisturizing instead they are drying to the lip but I haven't had that problem yet. I have noticed my self re applying them more often then I do my regular lipsticks but that's probably because they are a balm like lipstick with medium amount of pigmentation and are sort of like a linted lip balm. They last about 2-3 hours on my lips.

I'm very impressed with the quality of them and they are turning up all over the place and are easier to find now. Most of the Pharmacy's have Revlon products on sale where you can buy one and get one half off. This is a perfect time to try them out if you were interested in the Lip Butters they retail for $7.49. Out of the 6 that I have Tutti Frutti has to be my number one favourite and then Cherry Tart.

A Day In the City

Last Wednesday I went into the city with my mom. We had to go to the Indian Consulate for some paper work. So I figured we make it into a fun day in the city. It was super cold and windy but we still had a great time. We walked down 5th avenue looking at window displays and all the holiday decorations. NYC is such a magical place during the holiday time and it's absolutely beautiful. We grabbed lunch at TAO (love this place) and had some lychee martinis yumm. After lunch we just browsed through some stores and I ended up buying some things at the Forever 21 on 5th ave. After we walked to Time Square and I went to Inglot. I had been meaning to go there for awhile since I wanted to check out there rainbow shadows. I ended up with a few things but the one thing that I was most excited about was there Duraline. I'm so happy I finally picked this up. Awhile back I had bought Inglot's gel eyeliner's and all mine cracked down the middle. But with Duraline which is like a mixing medium I can bring my dead liners back to Life :). The first thing I did when I came home was play with my gel liners and duraline and was amazed at how fluently the liners glided on my eyes. You can also mix duraline with pigments and shadows to make your own liners. I'm excited to play around with this more and come up with some fun looks. So I just wanted to share my goodies and some pics with you all. The window displays at Bergdorf Goodman are world famous and I was lucky enough to see them this year. They were so BEAUTIFUL!! My pictures don't do them any justice it's just something you have to see in person. Back In November when I went crazy shopping around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I placed an order with American Apparel. I always wanted to try there Nail Polish and since they had 30% off I figured why not buy some now lol. I ended up picking up two colors also bought some leggings and a infinity scarf. Hey all just wanted to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year!!!!

Hope you all had an amazing New Year's Eve and that you celebrated with your family and loved ones. I hope 2012 will bring you the best of luck and that all your wishes and dreams come true this year :) Also wanted to Thank everyone for being part of my little beauty world online :) I can't believe that 2011 is over. It went by super fast but I'm looking forward to 2012 and I have a feeling it will be a great year. I don't really make New Year's Resolution's because by the end of February they are usually broken but I do want to try and post on here more often and do what makes me happy and smile. This week I was on vacation from work and I promised my self to do more Fotds to post on the blog but luckily I had some major issues with my right eye and the skin around the eye was red and irritated the whole week :( Therefore I couldn't do much and was really bored and annoyed. Yesterday was my Dad's Birthday and we were originally going to have family over and have dinner at home but last minute plans got changed and we ended up going out to my uncle's restaurant. We had so much fun and ate like crazy. I had bought a hot pink sweater from Forever 21 a while ago that I was dying to wear and last night was the perfect night to wear it. Dark and Glittery

I cut my nails short for the winter and have been obsessing over deep dark blue shades. I came across this color from Illamasqua called Phallic. Let me tell you about this blue I have seen many blue polishes but this one to me is unique. My pictures don't do it justice and you really have to see the polish in person. It's a dark blue with a blue/purple duocrome glitter. The glitter is not chunky at all it's more like sparkle/shimmer. It's beautiful and I think my favorite for the winter. I did my nails with this polish for the week. It's beautiful on its own but I wanted to add a little pizazz to my nails so I added Milani -Gem to my ringer finger. This is another great fun polish and perfect for the holidays or for anytime you want to add a little something extra to your manicure. It's also a great dupe for Deborah Lippmann Birthday cake. So if you don't want to spend major $$ and get a similar or almost the same look then I suggest you pick up Milani- Gem. What is your favorite polish for the season? Last night I had to go to my aunt's for my cousin's Birthday and of course my mom tells me last minute. So I only had a few minutes to get ready. New Obession-Glitter/Colored eyeliner

I have been obsessed with glitter/colored eyeliners lately. They are so much fun and perfect for any holiday look. Even if you do a smoky or neutral eye you can jazz it up with some glitter or a colored eyeliner. You can really make your eyes pop with just some liner without over doing it. It's also a great way to do something different then your typical black eyeliner. You can complete a look with just a hint of color and since glitter is really big this season now is the perfect time to play around with it. I use a bright colored liner even when I'm on the go and need something quick. I prefer liquid liner for a crisp clean look and just a line across the top lid and some mascara and I'm ready to go. Gel liner's are fun too but I usually pair them up with similar color's that I have on my lid to really enhance the look. Colored eyeliner's can also be worn as a base for an eyeshadow to make it stay on longer and to make the eyeshadow more vibrant. The glitter one's can be layered on top of the eyeshadow if you don't want to do a simple line.

Some of my favorite colored liners are from Makeup Forever and Glitter ones are from Mac although I recently bought a glitter eyeliner from Too faced that I'm absolutely in love with and need to go buy them all. Unfortunately the glitter eyeliners I have from Mac are not available anymore but they really need to bring them back. You can try checking out some CCO's because they still might carry them. Also I love the Urban Decay Liquid Liner but in my opinion they dry out too fast. I have only had mine for a few months and the consistency of it has changed already and it has become very thick. I prefer Makeup Forever Aqua Liners over the Mac Liquid Liners because they are more pigmented and stay on all day long. Mac Fluidline is something I use almost everyday. I think it's the best gel formula out there and stays put all day. My favorite brush to use with the fluidline is Mac #211 it makes the liner go on with ease and even a beginner can put on liner perfectly with this brush.

About three weeks ago I saw a lot of my fellow twitter folks talk about Giorgio Armani having a 30% off sale with free shipping and I knew this would be a perfect time for me to try out some of there products. I did a little research to find out what are some of there must have products and ended up on Temptalia's website.Where she gave there Instense eyeshadows a great review. So obviously I ended up ordering a few of them. I was super excited for the sale since it was my first time buying Armani cosmetics. I also picked up a lipstick which is super fun. The lipstick has a magnetic cap so it's a lot of fun to play with and the texture is so creamy the lipstick just glides on. The eye shadows are to die for they are such high quality and super pigmented on top of that they don't budge and stay on all day. I got the eyeshadow in number #1, #2, #3 and #6. The lipstick shade I picked up was Rouge D'armani in #600. I'm really happy with the quality of my Armani products and I definitely want to pick up more of the eyeshadows and also want to try the Eyes to kill Mascara as I have heard some great things about it. These products are on the higher price range but then again you get what you pay for and personally I think these are some of the best eyeshadows I have ever used. Black Friday at the Outlet's

Okay I know I'm a bit late but I just wanted to post some of the things I got on Black Friday this year. The stuff featured in this post is the actual stuff I got on black Friday. I did buy a lot of different things online but will make a separate post for that.

So this year I decided to leave the family dinner early and hit the Riverhead Outlet for some crazy black Friday deals. I have gone black Friday shopping before in the past but never had I gone to the outlet's. Just the experience alone was something I was looking forward too and boy let me tell you that it was a insane one at that. The store's opened at 10 pm and me and my friend's got there around 11:30 pm thinking it wasn't too late but we were soo wrong. There wasn't even any parking in the main lot and we had to go around the outlet's and park in the back were there was a race track lol. From there they had coach buses picking people up and dropping them off at the outlets. It was something I had never experienced before.

The first store I had my eye on was Michael Kors because I heard they have some amazing deals..which they did. Everything in the was 20% off :) so of course I ended up getting two bags haha. After I was done with MK I didn' really care were we went. My friend's went to a few different stores to do there Christmas shopping and I just went along with them. Then I ended up going to 2Bebe were I bought 4 shirts and a watch. After we went to Dooney & Bourke were everything was 50% off YESS 50% I thought this was an amazing deal and I ended up making my first Dooney & Bourke purchase. Then we went to Coach which also had great deals but nothing really excited me.

The last stop was Juicy Couture and I love there velour sets because they are super comfortable and keep me warm in the winter time. I bought a light grey set since I don't own a grey one. Also liked the jewelery they had and ended up buying a cute little necklace with matching earrings. I ended up coming home at 7 am and had to go into work at 9 am which was not fun at all :( but at least I got some awesome deals. Hope you all had a good Black Friday and got some fun/exciting deals like I did.

So this mother's day all my cousins decided to cook up a feast for our mom's and we threw them a BBQ. It was soo much fun and we all had a blast. We played Bingo and Badminton. I made some red velvet cupcakes and a Indian dish. I think all the mom's were very happy and we plan on doing the same next year :). Since it was nice out I wore my Kurti that I bought from India and used my new products from the new M.A.C collection. Hope you all like it <3

Last month I took a trip to India and as you all might know it's always super hot there. Right before I was headed to Delhi I received this amazing product that was perfect and exactly what I needed for my trip. It's called Uplight from Make Up For Ever. Uplight is a collection of creamy luminizing face gels that you can mix into your foundation for an allover glow, or just apply on their own to highlight the cheek bones, brow bone or really anywhere you want. It's a multipurpose product that can be used on your cheek's, lips and even lids for a natural glow and it's very lightweight.

Uplight is available in 8 different shades and three finishes which are dewy, pearly and sparkling.The dewy and pearly finishes are formulated with Make Up For Ever Star Powder for an iridescent effect on the skin, while the sparkling finish contains Make Up For Ever Diamond Powder for a soft shimmer. Make Up For Ever once again has launched another brand new product called Lab Shine Lipgloss. These Lipglosses come in three difeerent finishes. Star Finish, Diamond Finish and Metal Finish. Each is unique on it's own. There are a total of 36 Lipglosses in this collection priced at $18 each. These Lipglosses contain Cameline oil which add's mositure to your lips and let's be honest we can all use some mositure in this nasty cold weather. The glosses are non-sticky and have a fruity scent to them. I can't put my finger on what fruit it exactly smells like but the scent is not over pwoering and it kind of taste good as well. The glosses come in a glass tube with a brush applicator which gives them a very sleek look. In love with - Across the Universe

Ok so I know I might be a little late with this one but where the heck has this nail polish been all my life. I have always wanted to try the Deborah Lippmann Nail polishes because I have heard such great things about them and now I finally got a change to get my hands on one. I picked the ever popular Across The Universe. This color is so unique and nothing like anything I have in my collection. It's a dark navy blue and it's a jelly based with little glitter that ranges from blue, green and teal. It's absolute gorgeousness and reflects some of my favorite colors. The glitter doesn't hide under the polish like some others do it actually shows up :). I know this polish is a bit pricey at $18 but if your a nail polish addict and have some extra $$ to spend then go get this color and you will not regret it. One coat is a bit sheer so you need at least 2 to 3 coats depending on how you want the polish to show up. I have three coats on in the pictures. I'm really excited about this nail polish and looking forward to trying other shades from Deborah Lippman Collection.

within three of their top locations.”

The new MAKE UP FOR EVER Boutique & Studios, ranging in size from approximately 600-750 square
feet, have been designed to be reminiscent of a “backstage” environment, complete with studio makeup
stations and lighting. In addition to having separate entrances, each one will contain more than 1,200
product skus including iconic professional-only items and special effects products, making them the only
retail locations outside of the MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Flagship New York City Studio to offer this. The
Boutique & Studio will be staffed by dedicated MAKE UP FOR EVER employees who have been trained by
educators from the prestigious MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy in Paris to provide knowledgeable

* Studio – a series of fun, interactive and personalized one-on-one or group make up lessons

8ty8 Beauty Nailpolish Haul

I'm one of the luck ones that actually has access to the store of one of the famous websites aka 8ty8beauty.com ,which is a website that sells nail polishes at whole sale prices. So about a month ago I finally decided to go the store and do a little nail polish hauling. If you are a nail polish lover like me then this is definitely the site/store for you ..It was like being in nail polish heaven. They had some of the top nail polish brands like Essie, OPI, China Glaze, Color Club and Orly. I went in with a list of the polishes I wanted but was overwhelmed once I got there and my list went out the window. Majority of my haul is China Glaze but I did buy two Essie polishes and one polish from Color Club. Most of the China Glaze polishes that I wanted were from a collection that was out for a limited time but I was lucky enough to find a few of them at the store. I also grabbed the last "OMG" polish from China Glaze OMG collection which is really hard to find in stored or online. What I also like about this company is that they are always one of the first ones to get all the new collections from the brands listed above. They carry everything you can possibly find in a nail salon at really discounted prices. I was very pleased with my purchase and ended up buying 16 nail polishes. My experience at the store was very memorable and the employees were very nice & helpful. Even though the store is a bit out of my way to get to I will still go back for any future nail polish purchases.
