Hello,

2008-12-17T02:07:00.000-08:00

Hello,
My name is People, during the day I’m honorable, honest and loyal..
But during the night time, when I see the moon something happens to me, I change and I morph into something the opposite of who I am during the day..
I become deceiving, a cheat and a liar.
My name is People and I’m a hypocrite

Hello,
I’m Cat, and I live in a cocoon. I live on my own and my world is weaved by me. On the inside walls of my cocoon I have painted pictures, pretty pictures all around me of how I want my world to be. I painted my past, and I’m still painting my path to the future.
My life is a cocoon, an unfinished painting..
When I die my body will rot and decay, the only pieces of me that’ll remain in this world is the beauty I have left behind and my butterfly soul.
I’m Cat the caterpillar, I make my life and I have a butterfly soul.

Hello,
I’m Coco, the person that writes this blog, and I choose to live like a caterpillar.

Jester added this :

Hello,
My name is Pen, sometimes im in the hands' of the honerable, honest and loyal.. and sometimes im just a tool used for cheating, decieving and lying. Watch me Conquer the world, as soon as i befriend Coco, the girl who lives in a cocoon and acts just like a caterpillar.

Empty people

2008-10-07T08:20:00.000-07:00

It seems like everyone out there is empty, there's no soul through the eyes of strangers. Everyone is a clone of everyone else, they all have the same painted faces, wearing the same fancy peacock feathers.

Creations

2008-08-15T02:00:00.000-07:00

Who's that strange man staring at me from a page in my notebook?
Did I create him?

It's so strange, when you first begin to draw something, you can't make out what it is, the lines and shades have no meaning.

remember this?
the construction continues slowly..

until it reveals something.. and the unveiling begins..

It's not just lines and shades anymore.. It's a soul staring at me through the eyes of a strange man, a man without a name, a man that I've created.
I don't know him.
We're merely strangers connected by a piece of charcoal.

A post dedicated to a city that has given me so much..

2008-08-14T10:22:00.000-07:00

Like most of you know, I'm currently living in Cairo (for study purposes). I know, I know most of you now will be like "that must really suck!".. I'll be honest.. It kinda did at the very beginning. I absolutely hated it here!.. the noise, the chaos, the POLLUTION! and the list goes on and on...

BUT..

Yes there's a but!

As time passed by, the one year became two and the two became three, the egyptain saying "ely yeshrab mn mayet el neel yerga3laha" started making complete and utter sense. I was shocked at how much I missed this city when I went back home. I didn't know what I missed exactly, all I knew was that I missed it.

every bit of this city, every wall, every street, every building has a story to tell.. the history of it is so capturing, it's got me amazed.

I'd like to share with you a few bits and pieces of a city that mesmerized me with it's colorful culture, It's artistic brilliance and great historic background.

Here are a few pieces that will give you a taste of Cairo..

1) Al Kotob Khan

This is my favorite bookshop. It's got both English and Arabic books, I love the fact that there's a children's area where they can sit and read, they also have a small cafe there where you can sit, sip your coffee and enjoy a good read while being surrounded by numerous books. They also have a small collection of music, stationaries and DVD's which you can buy. It might be small, but it's definitely friendly and very cozy!
Their website: http://kotobkhan.com/

2) Omar khairat

This mans music is the soul of Egypt. He doesn't compose and play the music, he paints it. When you hear that piano being played, the oud with the violins and those Egyptian beats playing in the background, you can see the people of the Nile in your head, you see them smiling, you see their souls reflected in their eyes, you can taste the Nile and you can smell its air. His music also has that sense of sadness, the kind of sadness/suppression you see in people's eyes in everyday life, and I think the way he paints that image with his music is pure brilliance.

3) Taxi, By Khaled Al Khamissi

This book is a must read. It's about the life of taxi drivers in Cairo and what they have to go through. Thats all I'm going to say ..
4) Night boat rides

They're cheap, The weather is great, you go whenever you feel like it. They play you some cheap loud music and you can dance with a bunch of people you don't know. I've got nothing more to say about that:p you wont know it until you've experienced it :P

5) Night strolls on the Bridge (la tensoon! lazem etgashroon 7ab!)

Thats about it from me right now. I better get back to my books..
Theres more to come on the way inshalah, just as soon as I have time to post other places that must be visited..
It's a huge city with lots to see and do..
Hope you enjoyed this post..

Personality type

2008-08-11T14:18:00.000-07:00

Inspired by Kaos's blog,
Here's my personality test results...

Your Personality is the Rarest (INFJ)

Your personality type is introspective, principled, self critical, and sensitive.

Only about 2% of all people have your personality - including 3% of all women and around 1% of all men.

You are Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging.

How Rare Is Your Personality?

Now I know why people just don't get me.. *sigh*
Go ahead people try it out yourselves..
How rare is your personality?

The Hatching of an Egg

2008-06-29T13:45:00.000-07:00

It was like waiting for an egg to hatch. Lingering in the hallways of the hospital, counting every second. Hearing every sound. Everything seemed to be in slow motion. Waiting for a sign, a clue...

No, It's not what you're thinking. It wasn't bad news we were waiting for. It was good news. The birth of my baby sister.

The moment when you hear a baby's first cry, that wakening of life, that first gasp of air. It's the humans first cry of survival, It's the first battle.. That dive into the sea of life, the declaration of independence, What a GLORIOUS moment it is.

Welcome to LIFE Joudi.
It's not easy. Perhaps baby steps first, and when you get the hang of it, you can LEAP :)

Pieces of ME

2008-06-23T08:29:00.000-07:00

I came across Delicately Realistic's post, and she asked a question... the question was "do you know who you are?". Which got me thinking, who am I? And as one thought led to another, I realized something, my hands... my hands are who I am..
My hands are not pretty. They're not as feminine as I'd want them to be. But my hands define me, they say a lot about me..

My hands let me be, who I am..
And I am ....

THE ARTIST

THE BEGINNER GUITARIST

THE STUDENT

THE SISTER

THE COOK

THE CRAFTSWOMAN

THE FRIEND

THE FUTURE SURGEON

And at the end of the day when all those pieces come together..
I am..

THE BLOGGER

The question has been asked before, but I'll ask again..

Who are YOU?

So here it goes...

I will always wear: a bra (hatha aham shay! :P), undies, blusher, mascara, and some lip balm.

I will never wear: wool, it's too hot for summer.

My bad-clothes-day advice: Take a shower, it'll make you feel good about what your wearing.

I Know I look great when: I'm comfortable, happy, and smiling.

Smart travel tip: Just pack the basics (jeans and shirts, make them look interesting with simple accessories). Pack lots of underwear, shop at your destination. And always leave some space in your bag for all the souvenirs you'll buy later.

To me summer means: Sunblock, water, lemonade, watermelons, mangoes, Reading, drawing, painting, and showers showers showers :D
