David, I see it's been some time since you posted without a response --- just wondering if you found anything that has helped. My sister has hep-c and cannot take traditional drugs due to allergy. Was hopeful about the vc. Any news?

Looking for any information on nutritionally assisting my body fight off this dreadful virus (Hepatitis C). I am at a complete loss as to how I contracted it since I have never been an intravenous drug user. I am hoping to defeat this virus somehow and hopefully nutritionally.

I have been struggling with my husbands nasty feet. Our doctor even prescribed monistat 7 to kill the fungus. I am so in love with this CC oil. I tried some of it on his feet, he taught it was another one of those homeopathetic things that i bought at the Health food store. He was in shock how the oil worked. The next day his feet didn't even itch. I keep on applying it every night to completely kill what ever he has. Thank you very much Tropical Traditions.

My husband doesn't like the coconut oil in his foods. He says its overwhelming, but he doesn't mind it in the fruit milk shakes I make him in the mornings. I Use the Very Vanilla soy milk with frozen whole strawberry's which its great and 2 Tbsp of CC oil and he loves it. So far it's killed his craving to eat junk food and I personally am looking forward to a thinner healthier husband.

I melt it into liquid form, I put it on my coffe maker in the a.m. take a tablespoon of it. So much better than taking it as a solid.

Rhonda,
Wow, that is awesome. I also used to tried the whole eating only fruits and veggies thing with little success. Now with the coco oil, I am seeing a very slow release though. I had about 15 pounds total to lose and now have 6 more. Is is still working for you?

I recently started the coconut oil internal and then on my skin. I noticed right away that I began little whiteheads on my face. Does this mean I am bringing out the toxins or does it mean I am using too much or need to back off putting this on my face?

I am sleeping better but have more fatigue which I think is probably the dye off reaction.

I use it all the time now 2 or 3 times a day but always in a morning and at night. Just a thin smear. Let it soak in. Apply a little foundation on lips then the lipstick sits beautifully on it. During day I just reapply lipstick as and when.

Re: new to coconut oil [Forum: Weight Loss]

Why are you keeping the coconut oil in the refridgerator? Coconut oil is a saturated fat, it does not go rancid like polyunsaturated oils, therefore it does not need to be in the fridge.

I use it to cook with, I put it on potatoes, and use it anywhere that oil can be used. This is so much tastier then just eating it staight from the spoon.

No, it is not fattening because it has a positive effect on the metabolism. It does contain calories, just as all foods and oils do.

new to coconut oil [Forum: Weight Loss]

Hello to all of you
I have just found out about coconut oil, and yesterday (Saturday) was my first day - I keep the tub in my fridge, and have a tablespoon in the morning - quickly followed by a spoonful of low fat yogurt as I like the taste, but the thought of putting a lump of fat into my mouth makes me gag!

I hope this helps me get back to my normal weight, as I have an under active thyroid, but I take medication for that, it was the weight gain that bothered me most, as I kept to a good diet and exercise daily but just could not understand why the weight gain! Problem solved with medication and now Coconut oil (hopefully)
If anyone out there can suggest any other way of taking the oil please let me know, is coconut milk fattening? I am thrilled to have found this forum, and hopefully can contribute to help others. Heres to my first couple of pounds off!! Will let you know, bye for now.

When your thrush is gone, and you feel full of life and energy, the candida will be gone then. I would still continue to use coconut oil for maintanence, to prevent its return. Also, continue to avoid refined sugar even after you stop the anti candida diet. You will know when you are well.

Coconut butter for skin and hair after tanning [Forum: Skin Health]

Cold Pressed coconut oil is superior to any other oil or commercially sold processed product for hair and skin moisturizing, with the possible exception to natural, unprocessed shea butter. Being a blond with fair skin and living in the far norther latitudes, I can burn very easily in the sun. Recently, I conducted a little experiment while on holidays in the tropics. After applying a sunscreen with an SPF factor of 12, I spent approximately 4 hours in the sun. Afterwards, I always showered using Moroccan cold pressed hamman black soap, let it sit on my skin for five minutes, rinsed, followed by a scrubbing with a hamman glove to remove dead skin. Then I applied coconut oil to my entire body, including hair (every third day). The results were more than amazing ! My tan was the best I have had in my entire life and even after returning from the tropics, I apply coconut oil after a shower to retain the tan and suppleness. Sold on coconut oil.
