The past two weeks have been insanely busy for the CodeStock team. Between speaking with excellent sponsors, accepting a flurry of speaking submissions, & preparing for the CodeStock socials, we have to say that this is going to be an excellent year. With that being said, we have news - both good and bad (well, not too bad).

The Good News

This year, we have had the best turn out for speaker submissions since 2010! We are thrilled to see so many people wanting to support the community & willing to contribute to the conference. Here's the damage:

Over 100 different speakers submitted sessions.

Over 201 sessions submitted. If we were running a single track, that would be 8 DAYS worth of back to back sessions, 24 hours per day!

Over 33 incomplete speaker data profiles!! We will be tracking you all down soon.

In addition to the large turn out, we are probably seeing the most diversity of sessions we have seen to date. To name a few:

A myriad of html, css, & javaScript frameworks: Knockout, Ember, Angular, jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, BluePrint, TypeScript, Node.js, LESS, Sass, Compass, Durandal.

All manner of database access: Mongo DB, Raven DB, Azure Tables, SQL Server, XML (yeah, I know), Entity Framework, Lucene, Elasticsearch, OData.

The languages, layers, & application frameworks that we love so much (and sometimes not so much): C#, F#, Ruby, Java, Erlang, MonoTouch, XNA, Webforms, MVC, XAML, REST, WCF.

A plethora of platforms, including mobile & desktop: Android, iOS, Windows, RaspberryPI.

Great conversations around concepts & practices: Agile, Scrum, Entrepreneur, Project Management, Marketing, Business Ownership, TDD, BDD, Spaghetti.

Finally, some topics that are a bit unique: Biometrics, Kickstarter, Blender, Authorship.

Needless to say there is a ton of knowledge to soak in! The great part is that, as an early-bird registrant, you have the ability to determine what sessions are selected and help us choose the best ways to sort & arrange the sequence of sessions. This brings us the other point...

The (somewhat) Bad News

Due to the volume of submissions & our current process of upgrading a few pieces of our site, we are going to be delaying the Early Bird registration for a couple of days. Originally, we planned to have everything in place by April 2nd, but we want to make sure that everything is in place to make the registration, voting, & and overall CodeStock experience as awesome as possible.

Looking forward to the event!

The CodeStock Team
