COFA's free Massive Open Online Course is desiged to help educators develop their online teaching skills.

Learning to Teach Online to be offered in MOOC format in 2014

Based upon the successful educational resources of the same name, the free Learning to Teach Online (LTTO) MOOC is designed to help existing educators establish or improve their own online or blended teaching practices. MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Course. The target audience is primarily teachers in higher education, K-12, community college, and vocational or private education.

The award winning Learning to Teach Online project has been selected by The University of New South Wales to be one of three new Coursera MOOCS offered in 2014! MOOCs, or Massive Open Online Courses, are free for anyone to enrol in, and provide structured weekly learning activities to help you develop an understanding of the topic area.

COFA Online Resources is launching a new series of free Open Educational Resources (OER) called The COFA 'Insights' Collection.

The COFA 'Insights' Collection brings together the voices, experience, and expertise of COFA staff and students on common themes and issues relating to the study of Art, Design, and Media Arts. These resources are designed not only to help COFA students, but are freely available to students, academics and professionals all around the world.

Simon McIntyre from COFA Online was recently invited by Apple Australia to be part of a live online seminar series entitled Teaching with iPad and iTunes U. Apple was impressed with COFA Online's use of iBooks Author and iTunes U Courses to create the Lighting Essentials learning materials.

COFA Online runs an internship program for COFA students interested in video production. Our last interns, the amazing duo of Jonathan Forage and Iman Irannejad from the School of Media Arts produced a one minute video to promote our Master of Cross-Disciplinary Art and Design program. This video has already been viewed over 13,000 times on YouTube.
