We have added the Wickham Market/Little Glemham Auxiliary Unit Patrol to the site.

The team used the codename of ‘Thrush’.

Admiralty 4, Bath Auxiliary Unit Patrol Added

We have just added a patrol report on the Admiralty 4 Bath Auxiliary Unit Patrol by our Devon researcher Nina Hannaford.

The OB was constructed in an exsisting structure of an ice house in Prior Park which was built c1750 and parts of it can still be explored today.

Nina’s report has some great first hand accounts of training and life in the OB.

Northumberland’s Stobswood Auxiliary Unit Patrol Added

Today we have added a report by Stephen Lewins our CIO for Northumberland.

The Stobswood patrol also known as “The Death or Glory Boys” were based near Widdrington Station and Stobswood, two mining villages in the south east of Northumberland.

Sigglesthorne SDS Out Station Update

Andy was sadly unable to enter the bunker but has provided plans and hopes to gain access soon.

We have just added the Peasenhall Patrol to our website. The report was produced by our CIO’s for Suffolk and Norfolk.

Sadly the OB was destroyed at the end of the war.

Northumberland’s Netherwhitton Auxiliary Unit Patrol Added

Stephen Lewins, our CIO for Northumberland, has sent us a report on the Netherwhitton Auxiliary Unit Patrol.

Sadly the Operational Base is no longer standing but he has managed to find out other info on the partrol.

North Cave Auxiliary Unit Patrol – Yorkshire

We have added a patrol report, images and video on Yorkshire’s North Cave Auxiliary Unit Patrol.

The layout of the OB is slightly odd and the patrol seem to have built a sink and fuel store.

Ipswich II Auxiliary Unit Patrol Added

We have just added information on the Ipswich II Auxiliary Unit patrol from Suffolk to the site.

The OB has sadly long gone. Apart from patrol leader Sgt Neville G Palmer in the centre, front row of the picture, they don’t know who is who in the photo and would be grateful to hear from anybody who can put names on the other men. The report, by our CIO’s Evelyn Simak and Adrian Pye.
