Here's how to reset Canon Pixma iP4000 Printer

Position the printer off, press and hold the "Resume / Cancel", then press and hold the "Power / Power". Keys should not be removed once served until LED light turns green.
While still holding down "Power / Power", release the button Resume / Cancel ".
Then, the position of the Power button still held / pressed, press the "Resume / Cancel" 2 times, then release both buttons.
When the LED light turns green, press the "Resume / Cancel" button 4 times.
Then press the button "Power". LED light will glow green, and wait a printer will reset.
When finished, the printer back to the menu selection mode automatically
Finally press the "Power / Power" to exit service mode.

Canon MP258 Error Code and how to fix it

Canon MP258 Error code and fix:
MP258 Error code there are 2 types of codes, namely:
1. that uses the letters before P, for example P07
2. that uses the letters before E, eg E05

P Canon MP258 Error code:

P02 (Carriage error)
Solution:
1. Make sure no foreign object stuck in the roll printer.
2. Clean and check the encoder, may be exposed to splashes of ink.

P03 (Line feed error)
Cause: Timing Disk dirty / damaged.
Solution:
1. Check the timing disk sensor located to the left of the printer
2. Check and clean the board.

P05 (ASF sensor error)
Cause: The paper detection sensor Canon MP258 Error.
Solution:
Try changing one of the following parts:
• ASF / PE sensor unit.
• Motor.

P06 (Internal temperature error):

Indications:

When Canon MP258 printer is turned on will show an error P 07 in LCD panels.

How To Reset Printer Canon MP 258 is well I Proved:

The printer is turned off and plugged the power cord.
Press the button STOP / RESET and hold, then press and hold the POWER button.

If the scanner removed the scanner will not work and the indicator light blinking. If the scanner is installed and the printer can not deteck catridge then the power indicator light and the ink indicator lights up. so scaner printer for the above case is normal and no problems on the scanner

Then click the Upgrade button. Wait for the upgrade is complete, and remember my friend! DO NOT interrupt the process UPGRADE

Finally after the upgrade is complete, do the hardware reset as the previous step

Then you point the browser to the address http://192.168.1.1 again and the page will appear dd-wrt v24 standard generic like the picture below
