Fabric Headbands !!

2012-06-28T15:11:00.001-07:00

Okay once again I got on a little "kick!" This time it was with Fabric Headbands/Wraps! I seriously love these because they don't hurt your head and they are just a little different then your everyday headband! They make great photo props too! And even though I have them on my daughter for pics, they look great on Adults too! Here's my latest collection:

These were so fun to embellish with flowers, leaves, buttons and beads! And I've got to give my little girl some credit, she sat through 100 pics of these things! Especially, considering she isn't a "girly" girl, at all! Hope you like them!

Baby Shoes

2012-04-17T16:26:00.000-07:00

So I get on these little "kicks" of making a BUNCH of certain things. Have to change it up every week or so, (can you say "attention deficit")! Anyway, I have ALWAYS wanted to make those adorable fabric baby shoes. I see them all over Etsy and on Blogs and just had to try them. I found my inspiration from a few different tutorials/patterns here, here, and here. And then came up with my own renditions. Here are a few:

These take a bit of practice, at least they did for me, to get them the way you want. And I seem to have trouble sewing around curves, so had to give these a few tries, but they are great fun. Now, if I only had a baby to put them on! :( Give 'em a try!

Easter Peasant Dress

2012-03-29T07:52:00.000-07:00

It's been a while since my last post. I was recently asked to make a few peasant dresses and forgot how fun these are to make. I thought this would make the perfect Easter dress for a little one!

I love the little sash that ties around the dress. It's fun to embellish with fabric flowers.

These dresses are great because they don't require any zippers or buttons!

The pattern for this dress is no longer available, but I got it from a seller on Etsy and there are many other great Peasant dress patterns on there!

Of course, I had to make a matching hair accessory!

A Baby Headband and Fabric Head Wrap

2012-02-23T10:42:00.048-08:00

My Sister-in-Law had a baby a few weeks ago. They named her Mila, (what an adorable name don't you think?) and so I just had to make her a few headbands. Love how the flower turned out on this one. The headband is made out of a knit fabric and the flower was some fabric I found in the Walmart bins. It looks like a soft stretchy tulle.

Also made a few of these fabric head wraps this week. These are so fun to make. I love putting different fabrics together and seeing how they will turn out. These look great when you just want to wrap something around the head and go! Too bad Hallie won't wear anything I make cuz she looks so darn cute in them. You can mix up all different types on fabric flowers and leaves on these. So fun to embellish!

New Headbands

So I made up a few headbands for my friend the other day in pink/brown colors. Here is what is left over after she chose what she wanted. Get your own ideas or look for the ones I made in our Etsy shop! Also check out other headbands on my "headband pages" on the side.
