&lt;p&gt;This just goes to show that you can pretty much turn anything into beauty. And- it really only matters what&amp;#8217;s on the inside (like the fact this breakfast was delicious even though it looks a little bit chaotic &lt;img src='http://fitfoodiefinds.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /&gt;  )&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I used &lt;a href="http://anytimehealth.com/blog/395193-recipe-vanilla-french-toast-bake"&gt;this recipe from Anytime Health&lt;/a&gt;, but cut it in half to make a single serving. I also used berries instead of banana. For a gluten free version- just use gluten free bread!&lt;/p&gt;

As I walked through the front door, I saw something a little bit out of the ordinary. A baseball bat and a smashed scale.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I felt instant empowerment. I&amp;#8217;ve talked body image and eating disorder a couple times on the blog and for me, the number on the scale is very triggering. This is why I don&amp;#8217;t even bother weighing myself anymore because IT DOESN&amp;#8217;T MATTER. It&amp;#8217;s just a number.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Scales don&amp;#8217;t tell you if you&amp;#8217;re healthy, they don&amp;#8217;t tell you if you&amp;#8217;re skinny, or fit, or overweight. Things like body type, height  bmi, body fat/muscle ratio, etc. all need to be considered. 125 pounds on one person can look very different on another.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: center;"&gt;Just thought I would share this amazing gesture by the Anytime Fitness Hastings club in hopes that it will move you as much as it did for me!&lt;br /&gt;

This past weekend was a fun one. Saturday we went canoeing all day (see yesterdays post) and had a birthday BBQ for Blake. While it was really fun&amp;#8230;I ate a lot&amp;#8230;and not the best food. I ate a LOT of dessert and drank 2 days in a row (which I haven&amp;#8217;t done in years)!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m excited to get back to a normal eating routine this week.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;One of the yummy (and actually healthier) drinks I made for Blake&amp;#8217;s party was a DIY Sangria.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;I&amp;#8217;m usually a white wine drinker, but I&amp;#8217;ve bene trying to rotate between red because of all the &lt;a href="http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/red-wine/HB00089"&gt;health benefits&lt;/a&gt; it provides!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;Sangria is actually a lot easier to make than you would think. I don&amp;#8217;t think there is a right or wrong recipe&amp;#8230;but I really enjoyed the one I came up with!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;Sangria&lt;/h1&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ingredients&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 bottle red wine&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 cups orange juice&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 cups cranberry juice&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 cans sparkling water&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 oranges, sliced&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 lime, sliced&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 lemon, sliced&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ice&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Method&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Mix all ingredients, but the sparkling water and ice and let sit for about an hour. Before serving, add in sparkling water and ice.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I feel like I have the hardest time choosing the right size for myself. I chose correctly 2 out of the 4! The Pants and the Zip Up I ordered both in size Small and they fit great. I had to go up a size in the bra and tank from a small to the medium. My &amp;#8220;girls&amp;#8221; make purchasing tops an issue.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;LJ&amp;#8217;s motto is &lt;a href="http://www.lornajane.com/our-philosophy/"&gt;Move, Nourish, Believe&lt;/a&gt;&amp;#8230;that is where the Believe comes from on the butt of the pants. The pants are great. They are made with a high quality fabric making them stretchy, but not too stretchy. When it comes to yoga/workout pants, I am usually a cookie cutter black pant kind of girl. It was nice to step out of my comfort zone and get some cute ones!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The bra and the tank both came with pads inside, but I took those out right away (they were removable). I am a 34C cup, and will do anything to make them look smaller. I love that both the bra and tank have interesting backs. You could get some pretty stellar tan lines &lt;img src='http://fitfoodiefinds.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Last, but not least- the infamous blue zip up that I never want to take off. I seriously love that thing. I have a long torso- so it&amp;#8217;s nice to actually have an article of clothing that fits! The color just makes me happy and I LOVE the fit. It is very flattering. If I had to choose 1 out of the 4 pieces that I got- it would be the zip up&amp;#8230;hands down!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;To start his day off right, I made him his favorite breakfast. Peanut Butter Banana Pancakes. He LOVES buttermilk pancakes, but I secretly made them healthier by adding half whole wheat flour. He didn&amp;#8217;t even know.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The pancake mix I used was Trader Joes Butter Milk Pancake Mix, so I followed the directions on the back, but subbed half the flour for whole wheat. I also used milk instead of water.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tomorrow we are having a birthday BBQ for Blake, so that should be really fun! It&amp;#8217;s suppose to be in the 80&amp;#8242;s. We are just going to grill and have a bunch of people over. Sunday, I was invited to&lt;a href="http://www.minnesotamonthly.com/media/Minnesota-Monthly/Events-Pics-Calendars/Minnesota-Monthly-GrillFest/GrillFest-About-Us/"&gt; Grill Fest&lt;/a&gt;, an event put on in the Twin Cities by Minnesota Monthly, and sponsored by Gold n&amp;#8217; Plump Chicken. We also have a grad party (Happy Graduation Ashley!!!) Sounds like the perfect Birthday weekend to me!&lt;/p&gt;
