Colligo Engage Console Update

The Colligo Engage Console has been updated today with some minor enhancements and bug fixes.

One exciting new feature now allows the ability to prevent the sending of invitation emails when a user is created, and resend them later from the users list.

User Activity Dashboard added to the Colligo Engage Console

We're excited to announce the availability of a new user activity dashboard on the Colligo Engage console. Available immediately on www.colligoapp.com it provides a powerful quick visual for administrator's to assess activity with Colligo Engage clients over the last 1, 7, or 30 days. The dashboard allows filtering by group, activity type and device increasing visibility to the usage of Colligo Engage client applications.

A brief Q&A on the new dashboard is below.

Q: How long does it take for activities to reach the dashboard?

The user activity dashboard will show updates hourly

Q: How are activities grouped on the dashboard?

Sync-> Activities for the start of a list/library sync and individual file download activities

Edit -> Any edit, upload, check-in, checkout, discard check out, and upload activities

Read -> Any file reads or items viewed using Engage clients that log the read activity

Sharing -> Any activity for emailing a file via attachment or link using Engage clients

Q: Does one activity on the dashboard correspond to a single action on a single file?

Not necessarily - the action of downloading, viewing, reading, editing and upload all generate activities so a single user action contributes multiple activities has displayed on the dashboard.

Easily manage groups in the Colligo Engage Console

We're excited to announce the Colligo Engage Console has been updated to add the ability to create and manage additional groups. No update of the Engage applications is required and the feature is live within the console for all organizations.

Yosemite has been in beta, even public, for months. This issue with Briefcase existed in ALL beta releases of Yosemite.

Bad customer service and development q/a that Briefcase is not supported on Yosemite zero-day.

Too bad this was posted only yesterday... I upgraded to Yosemite and not Briefcase does not work. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, as I don't want to reinstall Maverick

Support Alert - OS X Yosemite Support

On October 16 Apple announced the general availability of Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. The current version of Briefcase for Mac 1.0.18 (SP1) has a critical known issue with Yosemite where Finder will restart multiple times until the app is disabled. We're working on a fix for the next release planned in the coming weeks and will announce availability here.

We are also excited to announce our new cloud-based service - Colligo Engage Console. Functionality previously available within Colligo Administrator 1.x is now available in the Colligo Engage Console, and we are announcing end-of-sale for Colligo Administrator. Colligo will be in touch with Administrator customers to discuss your transition to the Colligo Engage Console. For customers who wish to remain using our existing product versions, including Colligo Administrator, they will continue to be supported for 2 years (October 2016).

How we've protected our support center against the Heartbleed Issue

Overview

A vulnerability has been recently disclosed in OpenSSL that could result in remote attackers being able to obtain sensitive data from the process address space of a vulnerable OpenSSL server or client.

The issue has been assigned the following CVE identifier and is also known as the Heartbleed vulnerability:

What we've done to protect customers using our support site:

The software Colligo uses to track support requests and manage our software is Zendesk. On April 8th, in response to the Heartbleed issue, Zendesk posted the following:

What You Should Do to Protect Your Zendesk

Although Zendesk has no evidence that any customers’ accounts have been affected by Heartbleed, as a precaution and best practice, we strongly recommend that you regenerate your Zendesk hosted SSL certificate and reset all user passwords. (Really, you should reset your passwords for all online services that you use!)

If you are using an SSL certificate with your Zendesk, it is critical that you upload a new certificate. The best practice is to use a named certificate (support.YourSite.com) with your Zendesk. If you are currently using a wildcard certificate, it will continue to function, but a wildcard certificate is inherently less secure than a named one, and will significantly increase your security risk.

Remember: uploading a new SSL Certificate with a newly generated security key is the only way to ensure that your Zendesk cannot be accessed with a compromised security key.

We have immediately responded to this issue by updating the SSL certificate used for our support site. We are now using a new SSL Certificate with a newly generated security key. Colligo recommends you change your Zendesk login password for an added level of security. You can change your password while logged in by clicking your name in the top right hand corner. This will take you to your profile where you can click Actions > Change Password.
