Greetings and Happy New Year! The Colorado GLBT Bar Association is excited to announce that our new website is finally live! We’ve been working with Kim Stone of Blank Slate Interactive and are very happy with the way it turned out.

NEW FEATURES

Our overall intention was to improve our members’ experience online and attract new members, so take a look at some of the new features.

• Social Media. We now have a presence on Facebook and LinkedIn! If you’re on Facebook, be sure to “Like” us on our fan page here. If you’re on LinkedIn, add us to your network here.

• News & Events. We spiffed up the way we publicize our numerous social events. Not only can you see a list of upcoming events you can see details of past events, along with photos taken at the event! Check it out.

• Online Membership Management. You can now login to update your contact information or pay your dues online.

• Members-Only Content. One of the benefits of being a member is getting exclusive information like job postings before everyone else. You’ll be able to access members-only content like job postings by logging in on the home page (see the lower right section of the page) or on the sidebar of any other pages.

NEED TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD?

If you don’t have your password (or don’t know it), you’ll need to reset it. It’s takes very little time at all if you follow these instructions:

Step 1 – Go here and enter the email address associated with your account

Step 2 – Check your email inbox. Look for an email titled “RE: Your membership login info.” Click the link in that email.

Step 3 – You’ll be taken to a login page on your browser. Keep this open because you’ll soon enter your username and a temporary password (you’ll receive in a separate email shortly).

Step 4 – Check your inbox again. Look for an email titled “[Colorado GLBT Bar Association] Your new password.” This will contain your new temporary password.

Step 5 – Go back to your login page. Enter your username and the temporary password. This will take you to your profile page. You’ll be prompted to change your temporary password to one that’s easier to remember.

Step 6 – And while you’re in your profile, make sure your other information is correct and up-to-date.

HAVE YOU PAID YOUR DUES FOR 2011?

If you’ve already paid your dues for 2011, great! If not, you can now do so online now. It’s fully secure and you don’t need to have a PayPal account. If you need to renew your membership for 2011, go here. Just follow the prompts to pay online.

One of the upgrades we weren’t able to make during this site revamp was to integrate a new and improved discussion forum. For now, discussions and questions will still be routed through the same ListServe.
