Professor Honored With Aldo Leopold Memorial Award

The Wildlife Society's highest honor, the Aldo Leopold Memorial Award, has been awarded to Kenneth P. Burnham, professor emeritus from the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to wildlife conservation.

Grant Enhances Study of Rett Syndrome at CSU

Anna Kalashnikova, a postdoctoral fellow, has been awarded a grant to research the workings of MeCP2, a protein implicated in Rett syndrome. Children with the condition are robbed of speech and motor skills, and have significant health problems.

A Top Producer of Peace Corps Volunteers

Colorado State ranks No. 6 on the 2012 top Peace Corps volunteer-producing colleges and universities in the graduate school category and No. 13 in the undergraduate large school category. CSU is the only university in Colorado ranked in both lists.
