Spring Challenge part 4

I'm really sorry it took me so long to post this pictures, but I was busy with my trip to Zagreb some picnics and I was kinda lazy too =).

For this part of the challenge I had to make bugs, and here I decided to go with caterpillar, I'm not sure if I like it, but I know it is probably not the worst nail art you've seen =). I used pink and green colour, because it was the only color combination left.

I used:

Essence I like and pink flamingo

I must admit that it looked much better when I was imagined it =)

Spring challenge part 3

HI!!!!

For today I have prepared a manicure from awesome spring challenge. Because I thought I know all the challenges right, I didn't check the instructions before making the manicure, and I made a "little" fail. I forgot to include dots =(.

I'm really sorry about that, but by the time I realised that, my nails were already coloured with another polish, so I wasn't able to change it. Because I didn't want to be without dots I cheated a bit and added them with a program, but only on one picture, so you can see my real manicure =).

For this manicure I used:

Essence: My Yellow Fellow and I like from Blossoms LE and Back to paradise from Return to the Paradise LE

I also used BM04

I'm a bit late with my second manicure, but I've had a hectic week and I didn't manage to make it on the assigned date.

I also didn't have time to plan this manicure so it turned out to be the way I didn't want, but I'm still sharing it, because it is not a complete disaster too =).

BarryM: Indigo, Berry IC Cobalt blue and Bright purple

I do like it, but I just hate that I wasn't able to connect my ring finger to all of the other nails =(.

Maybe my next manicure will be better =)

Spring challenge part 1

LOVE & LIFE

After a lot of thinking I decided that I'll start with pink and orange colour combination, and I think it turned out just perfect =). I never thought that this 2 colours would look so good together =). Mateja, thank you for challenging me!

I'm not sure if you can see what this represents because I'm a pretty bad drawer.

The black thingy was supposed to be a tree ( tree of life) so this represents LIFE in my manicure, and as you can see this is a special tree of life, because it grows hearts (LOVE) that are carried away to all of the other nails by orange sponged wind =).

I know, sometimes I get carried away too much =).

I wish the pictures would turn out better, but they didn't and because I bumped my nails into something I couldn't take better pictures =(.

The last day of B&W Challenge

Hi!

It's time to post the last manicure from black and white challenge =)

This time I had to make black and white manicure of my choice.

All the way through the challenge I wanted to make white base with black Victorian style pattern, but sadly I never had enough time ( or maybe I just didn't take enough) to complete my wish. This was a perfect opportunity, but again I failed. Because I got my new Bundle Monster IP about a week or two ago it was just easier for me to use one of the images from my new 25 IP. I chose one from BM222, but I also failed to stamp it perfectly. Which leads us to the fact that I had to start stamping more often again =). And this clearly won't be a problem since I had 25 NEW IP =)

For this manicure I used:

Konad special white polish

BM 222

I also challenged myself to use each one of my plates at least once and I hope I'll make it happen =)

Hi!

For this part of B&W challenge I had to do marble manicure with black and white. I cheated a bit here, because I also used silver colour *blush*.

I used:

White polish from BeautyUK Urban girl set

Essence: Fatal

Magnetic: Shimmering Silver

Here is what I got:

I should also explain how my nails grew so much over night =). I made a little mistake and made marbling before sponging, but in between a nail broke, so I had to shorten them all. On day 10 you will see my shorter nails again =)

A while ago Mateja from Purple Glitters wrote this post. She noticed that with water marble there is always something special about the RING FINGER =). I guess I'm one of the rare exceptions, because I think my ring finger turned out to be the worst =).

Tomorrow I'l try to post the last manicure for this challenge. And than I'll finally complete this challenge =)

Black and white challenge day 6

Sorry for not posting for a while. I'm really busy with my college and I was a bit uninspired so this two things are probably the main reason why I haven't posted for a while.

For day 6 in our challenge I had to make a manicure with coloured base and white on it. I tried to do something in white and blue, but it was a complete fail, and than I removed it and made quite satisfying manicure, but I was able to ruin it before I took pictures, and later my grandmother got sick...... Anyway I was able to recreate this manicure a while ago, but I wasn't able to publish it yet.

Colour base with black- Challenge No. 5

Hi!

It's time for the 5th manicure in our B&W challenge!

For today I didn't have time to prepare something special, so I'll post one manicure from my old files =).

After looking at this pictures I think I could post this one also as the first manicure in our challenge since it looks like black and white, but actually it isn't. It is a light silver base with loads of multicoloured glitter.

I got this polish in a swap with lovely Amanda from The nail polish enthusiast. She is really one of the sweetest persons I know =).

(this picture was intentionaly left a bit smaller, because I'm really ashamed of that cuticle sticking out of my nail. I should really be ashamed of myself, how I lowered the quality on this blog)

I also added stamping. And because I discovered that I constantly use the same images and some weren't even once on my nails I decided to give design from M51 plate a try. I must admit that it doesn't look all that bad on the nails. I actually liked it, and because of this I decided that I'll make sure that I'll use all of my designs from konad image plates at least once =)).

I do hope I won't regret my decision =).

Hi!

Today is the fourth day of our challenge. I prepared something I usually wouldn't wear,but now that I have it on my nails I must say that I don't hate it as much as I would, but I still don't like it, and I think it will leave my nails pretty soon =).

Here are the items I used:

Black base with some colour AKA day 3 =)

Hi! Hello!

Today I'm feeling quite energised, despite having another very busy day, not to mention all the things that happened to me today, but I could manage to save enough energy to write a decent post after a verrrrrrrrry loooong time =).

Because I passed some of my exams I decided to give myself an award for the effort. And what is the best award for a nail polish freak? Everything else but nail polish =)))). I'm just kidding, of course an expensive polish or maybe a new IP. And because I was a goood girl I bought myself my FIRST NfuOh nail polish! They tend to be quite expense here, but I got it with a little discount, because Aranka from Zapikonai was kind enough to offer me a discount although they were planning to launch their discount a day later! And she was also prepared to change my order in case if I change my mind, and of course I did =). I ordered 2 for me and one for my friend ( it is a late birthday gift, but I wasn't able to give it to her yet, I do hope she'll love it).

Anyway I had to use my brand new NfuOh 54 ASAP! and Black with some colour on was just perfect opportunity for me =).

This is what I was wearing today:

IT is 2 coats of Essence fatal and 1 coat of NfuOh 54

I couldn't stop looking at my nails, and also all of my friends noticed it =).

Sadly I broke my nails today and while I was studying I was a bit too nervous, and this manicure will soon ( too soon) have to say goodbye, but I promised myself that it won't be the last of it =)

Some of you probably asked yourselves why I'm not holding bottle in my hands since it is really special. I borrowed this polish to my friend before I was able to take picture with the bottle in my hand, but I know that next time it will be on the picture.

Because I have loads of old pictures to show you, here is another manicure I did with black base( essence fatal) and CG Millenium, about a year ago. Like it?

B&W Challenge Day 2

Hi!

How are you?

Today is the second day of our Black and white challenge. I was really excited to try something new here, but it turned out to be a complete fail =(. I'm really sorry you have to see this manicure. It is definitely the worst I'we done or seen anywhere on the web, but because I'm in a big time crisis, I couldn't make another one, so prepare for the horror!

I used Essence Fatal as a base and Essence white hype over the scotch tape. As you can see on my thumb( first picture) it was quite a messy experience. Sometimes I'm really clumsy =). Now I seriously hope, that I will make a decent manicure for day 3 of the challenge, because so far I showed you only crap =(.

P.S. Please ignore my short pinkie nail, I broke it, but I didn't have my nail file in my capital residence so I had to wait to get home, but than I realised I forgot ti bring black nail polish with me, an because I didn't have black, I just had to upgrade unequally long nails. I

B&W Challenge Day 1

Hi!

It all started when Mateja from Purple glitters mentioned that she would like to challenge herself with a challenge, only a week and a half later she put it in act, and I'm really happy that I'm taking part in this wonderful challenge

As much as I love this challenge, everything went wrong with the first manicure, so now I have a few crappy photos.

I think I should explain myself a bit =). Firstly I almost went nuts when I had to put 4 coats of base polish on my nails ( Beauty UK: Frozen kingdom), because of that I got bubbles( I think that they are pretty obvious), next day at college I was working with orange derivate from formaldehyde and organic solvents ( this explains orange spots on my nails) and I also cheated a bit, because this white base contains gold shimmer.

Non of them was taken in the sun light, because with my college schedule I wasn't able to get a daylight picture =(

I'm baaaaaaack with a challenge invitation!!!!

Hi!

I'm back from my very long "holidays". Here are the reasons I was gone: I was lacking inspiration and motivation, I had big issues with one of my exams and I didn't allow myself to write a blog, and there wasn't a lot of free time in my life. I still don't have a lot of free time, but I still hope I'll have time to post at least twice a week. I hope I don't lose my inspiration too soon again =).

Anyway, I won't be talking on and on about why I was gone. Here is what I'm wearing today:

It is Catrice: Heavy Metallic, awesome purple that didn't allow me to capture all of her glorious purple metallic look, because on almost all of the pictures it looks tooooooooo blue.

As you probably noticed there was a lot of bubbling going on on my nails, but I didn't figure out yet what is causing it.

I don't have any top coat on.

The next pictures was taken in direct sunlight, here the color is much more realistic, but it is still not perfect

What do you think, is it pretty enough that bubbling can be ignored?

I also started making nail polish rings

I really liked the way this polish looks on me, so I had to make one ring with this nail polish. What do you think of it? I loooove it =).

Please excuse my poor dry skin, but I haven't find a way how tu cure my poor skin yet.

Depend polishes in SLO!

Hi girls? How have you been?

Today I'm not going to be very long, because I'm in serious lack of time =).

The first thing I'm going to show you my recent hauls:

You can see that we have now Depend available in SLO. I just had to pick 2 colours =).

Also a while ago I made a purchase in one Turkish internet store and I'm planning to review the customer services and polishes, but I'm also planning to show you 2 swaps that I haven't showed you the pictures yet =).

To make my decision easier please let me know what would you like to see next(besides my manicures).

Also because I realised that I don't like crackle effect with black polishes, I decided I'm going to give a lila crackle a chance, and since they only cost 2,1€, I just had to try it out. Because the pink part of the duo nail polish looked perfect after 2 days, I decided I'm going to applay this crackle to it.

Here are the pictures of what I ended up with:

It was one of the rear crackle manicures I liked =)

Maybe I'll buy some crackles now since I liked this one, but I already know that I'm going to rush into buying the crackle effect polishes and I won't be happy with them in the end.

It lasted 4 days on my nails almost without tip wear, but today I was so nervous(I had to learn) that I just "eat the polish off". Mmmmmm, that was delicious=(.

Dusty nails

Hi!

we all know that H&M sometimes serves us with nail polishes. Because I was in the search for summer nail polishes I went H&M, but I found something completely different there. I found duo nail polish, and because I fell in love with the color combination, and because I didn't own any duo nail polishes I decided I'm going to take it home with me. I just had to apply it yesterday. And because these two colours look perfect together I tried to do some plaid design on my nails, but I completely failed.

These are both practically one coaters! Application is average in general, but great for a pastel polish. They dried really fast, and are really good for stamping. I definitely had to buy a back up =).

Price: 2,95€

Did I mentioned that I love this grey colour? I'm not a fan of grey, and this is probably the first grey I like =).

Something really, really old!

This is probably one of the oldest pictures I have to show you. It is about 4 months old. OMG! This really reminds me on how long have I been absent.

It was taken before this manicure and it is a part Essence Blossoms LE. Because of this LE I became crazy over pastel polishes( which I hated before) and now I LOVE them =).

2 coats of Essence Bloom a loom stamped with Essence Purple Magic. I'd write the number of the plate, but I forgot the number, and I'm not in the mood to look it up =(.

rHi! SURPRISE!

I know I promised that I'm going to stay for a while in my last post (also I'm really sorry I linked the Slovenian store ličila.si with a wrong link, I really don't know what I was thinking, but I fixed it now), but I didn't, so today I give you no promises, but a quick explanation. I had a lot on my mind, because I was feeling like I'm the worst person on the world because of my addiction, also something was really wrong with my exams and in my personal life. There is ALWAYS something and I haet that. I wish I had at least 2 peaceful months, but I guess everybody wants that not only me =). I could go on and on, explaining everything in details, but I won't because I don't want you to be reading things about my messy life.

I can only tell you what made me come back. It was you! I missed you all, your lovely blogs, comments, nails: everything =). I said to myself: Dolores, you have 655 readers on line, do you really want to throw that away? Of course the answer was yes( sorry, I meant no *silly*).

I do have loads of material, so I don't know how often will I post, but if I post more than once a day, I do hope you won't accuse me of spamming =).

In the next posts you can expect, some serious konad stamping manicures, swaps, birthday gifts and maybe even nail care article which will also be in Slovenian language =)

I also decided since, blogging was taking me a lot of time, that I won't write a lot, but only a brief description of my manicures =).

So now I can finally go on to my manicure. This was the manicure I wanted to show you next, but this next turned out to be a whole month. For this manicure I used purple nail polish from beautyUK urban girl set, konad black and koand plate m71. This pattern was on my WL for ages and when I got is as a preset I alsmost cried out of joy( let's keep the details until the next post).

I'm really sorry I disappeared again, but I had a crazy mess in my private life and the mean role in this drama goes to my faculty. I really could tell you ALL about it, but I think that nobody would even read this part of my post, so I'll spare you with the boredom this time =).

Before I disappeared I promised you all the pictures from nail polishes from beautyuk urban girl set, and because I don't know what will happen tomorrow( you never know I might disappear again), I'm just going to show you all the pictures together =).

My first french manicure

Hi!

As promised I'm going to show you my very first french manicure today, but before I show you the pictures of my manicure I have to tell you something else =).

A bit more than a week ago I got a lovely gift from Maja and Gregor, the owners of Slovenian internet store ličila.si. It was a complete shock, but I don't mind being surprised like that.

This is the set I'm talking about:

A set of 6 polishes( you can see some pretty pastels hidden in the box) from beautyuk called urban girl.

I wore every single polish from this set, and I must say that they really surprised me in a positive way. They apply like a butter, the colors are gorgeous, the wear time is awesome, the price is really affordable and if I compare the price with the quality, they are ridiculously cheap =). And I must say that I was the most surprised with the white one, because it applied really easy and it was opaque in 2 coats, and we all know that this is pure heaven for a white polish. The only bad thing about this set is, that they come in set, so you can't decide which ones to buy and sadly they don't have names.

All my Slovenian readers can buy this set(and a lot more) on their web page(licila.si).

Because they are so kind I think that they would also love to assist all the girls that aren't from Slovenia, so all of you who don't have access to the things they sell, feel free to send them an e-mail.

Now off to my first french manicure.

I've always hated classical french manicure, that dreadful white tip always made me sick. I did give it a try many times, but I never got to the point that I'd say that this is it, I like it. But than I finally realised, that I could try adding a little extra on the white tip, to make it a bit more acceptable. And this is what I did this time, and I must say that I'm quite satisfied with the result.

I used scotch tape to make the white line( of course I had to use the white polish from urban girl set) and konad m44 and Lacura cyclam for the stamping on the tip.

This is what I got:

Of course I had to add one of my necklace to the picture, but they looked so good together =).

But I had to experiment with it a bit, so I added Del Sol Foxy and butterflies from konad m78.

For all of you who don't know that already: Del Sol polishes change colors if they are in direct sunlight! =)
