L.A. singer Steve Lacy has delivered a new video for his latest single ‘the feeling’. The track itself will be featured on his forthcoming LP Oh yeah?, which is slated to land July 17th.

Directed by Matthew Castellanos, the visuals are pretty straight forward with the Lacy performing the track. However the magic in the video revolves around the cinematography and the beautiful use of low light and psychedelic projections.

The song itself is a gentle soul and pop stirring that has an air of melancholy to it, yet still blossoms as captivating ear candy.

Psychedelic French outfit SLIFT have released their new album Fantasia, which is out via Sub Pop. Along with the LP, the band have also dropped the title track as a single.

‘Fantasia’ is a masterful crafting of space rock, psychedelic, and sludge, that to call it heavy, is a total understatement. Taking steam rolling guitar riffs, weighty bass lines, cosmic keys, and slow, thunderous drumming all topped off with the vocal screams of Jean Fossat, and what you get is a total boulder crushing release that is rollin down the mountain with unstoppable force.

Tierra Whack is an emcee who is not only respected as an incredible lyricist, but her creativity is through the roof. Having released incredible music over the years, the North Philly native will drop a new project titled WHACK’S MUSEUM on June 19th. She has also shared a new video for her single ‘WAX PAPER’.

While her past videos have been bright and vibrant at times, these child.-directed visuals are actually quite dark and nocturnal. The black and white imagery captures the raw essence of Philadelphia, while night shots of Tierra rocking on the street with a crew of people. The shots are amazing, coinciding really well with the off-kilter production of the track. Of course lyrically Tierra Whack is in top form, which is no surprise. ‘WAX PAPER’ proves that high level emceeing is still alive and strong.

With summertime here, Gucci presents the Monte Carlo campaign representing the house’s new collection. Reflecting the luxury lifestyle, sun, and the overall atmosphere of the destination that’s been a hot spot for the rich for years, the visuals for the campaign brings a cheeky fun.

Various people spanning multiple age ranges lounge by the pool throughout the video whilst sporting pieces that include women’s animal printed bikinis, silk skirts, and twill shirts. The men’s collection include floral bowling shirts, sliders, and canvas linen shorts. These are appropriate uniforms for the season.

Multinational band This Is The Deep step forth with their latest single ‘Darkness and the Dawn’, taken from their upcoming album ‘Everything’, out September 9th via 5dB Records. What is said to be a concept record, the new work follows their 2021 LP The Best Is Yet To Come, Pt. I.

‘Darkness and the Dawn’ is a mountainous, roller coaster ride of psychedelic, and art pop, with a splash of baroque sounds thrown in the mix. The chorus is larger than life with the production of the song decoratively jumping through the speakers. The theatrical elements of the track feels more like listening to a score of a film. This should come as no surprise considering the band’s constant blend of music and art. An amazing offering from the collective, we can only imagine what is in store with the upcoming full-length.

Chris Stewart, better known as Black Marble, has shared news on the release of his new album Life in Small Spaces. Out August 21st via Sacred Bones, Stewart has also unveiled the lead-off single titled ‘Jim Carol New Year’.

With the title paying respects to the late New York poet and musician Jim Caroll, the track itself is a somewhat upbeat alt-pop meets left-field electronica piece that while feel good in production, is accompanied by analytical social commentary, creating a balance between the messaging and ear candy. Touching on the upcoming album, Black Marble mentioned:

“I always knew a lot of people in music struggled to make ends meet, but it surprised me to learn that the people you thought would be doing well often weren’t. For me, seeing the business from the inside like that changed how I looked at things. When I looked up to see a new artist on a billboard, I started to wonder, will I one day have to pretend to be something I’m not, in order to succeed? The life of an artist goes on after your moment ends, you know? So who do you want to be in the end and how do you want to be seen by the people that know you? I made Life In Small Spaces while thinking about that, and for me, it serves as my own ideal for living an artistic life. I’m doing it as a vocation, not some last ditch effort to escape to some other world. I made this record not only as a way of saying that, but as a way of saying it’s ok to feel that way. It’s ok for people to sacrifice some degree of creature comfort in order to live a life you believe in. And it doesn’t have to be an endless search for something just out of reach, it can be a permanent way of being and something that sustains you.”

The Internet co-founder Syd has shared some info on her forthcoming new album. Titled Beard, the LP is slated to drop on July 17th. This is the follow-up to her 2022 record Broken Hearts Club. Coinciding with the news, the L.A. native has also shared a new track featuring Blu june dubbed ‘Callin’.

‘Callin’ is a smooth and soulful r&b piece that delivers buttery, chilled production, melodic vocals, and an overall additive vibe.

Syd has also released a video for the track, although it’s technically a visualizer. Nevertheless, you can check out the track and visuals down at the bottom.

Berlin’s ANYX has announced the release of her new debut album titled Starlink. Scheduled to land August 28th, the record will pushed via La Rubia Producciones. Along with the news, ANYX has also unveiled her new single ‘Ladybirds Spine’.

‘Ladybirds Spine’ is a dark and haunting offering that features an eerie guitar loop running throughout the track whilst echoing crashes sound like an echo chamber. There are tense and dramatic sonics running through the duration of the song, making ‘Ladybirds Spine’ not only heavy but impactful.

Touching on the track, ANYX stated:

“”On the back of a Ladybird’s spine / Life seemed too much, too much for my kind.” Those opening lines came first. I wrote this song from a place where everything felt too big, too loud, too much — the pressure of visibility, of documenting your life online just to prove it’s real. I felt like I couldn’t keep up. It has been about 3 years since Kelela released her album Raven. While apparently she wasn’t going to drop music this year, the Ethiopian-American artist has unveiled that her new LP new avatar is definitely arriving in 2026. Along with the announcement, Kelela has also unveiled a new song called ‘Point Blank’.

Keeping in stride with her blend of experimental rhythms and r&b melodies, ‘Point Blank’ is a soulful yet unorthodox slice of electronica that, despite its icy sonics, vibrantly shines, making this a fantastic return from the boundary pushing artist.

Rhode Island band Downtown Boys have stepped forth with their new track ‘Sirena’, taken from their upcoming LP Public Luxury, landing June 26th on Sub Pop.

No strangers to social commentary within the messaging of the music, ‘Sirena’ is a call to action as a voice that is meant to ring out during these current shaky times in the world. The music itself is an in your face punk rock hammer that slams with force.

Regarding the song, front woman Victoria Marie mentioned:

“Sirena” brings together both earthly and divine concepts of what drives, moves, and calls us to action bigger than ourselves. Sirena is often translated from Spanish into English as “mermaid”. The idea of a sirena as a guiding body essentially bending gravity and drawing one to the liminal space, whether it is where water meets sand or where our desire for a world where we are all free meets the reality that we have a lot of work to do. We are honored to have a video by Sarah Elawad that takes sublime archival footage that beautifully bends the mundanity of the time it takes for a flower to grow or a horse to race.
