1.1 Normal Color effect of Feng Shui

After reading a lot of fengshui books , readers are curious about the colors for feng shui ,what is the effect to normal life , and what is the influences it will be .

Quite a lot of readers searching for the answer but cannot find it , as such , I will have some discussion on the colors for feng shui.

Before we talk about colors for feng shui , we should talk about the colors effect to human emotions.

There were some theorists throughout history have tried to assign colors relating to particular human emotions. They believed that seeing particular colors caused particular emotions. Whether it is true or not ,the world still do not have the final conclusion, as the latest discovery will prove the earlier theory to be wrong.

But basically , there are something which is commonly accepted , that is type of colors represent certain meaning as below:

White represent Light, Reverence, purity, snow, peace, innocence, cleanliness, simplicity, security, humility, sterility, winter, coldness, criticism, surrender, cowardice, fearfulness, unimaginative, air, fire, death (Eastern cultures), hope, Aries, Pisces (star signs), bland, empty and unfriendly(interior), January, celebration.

Black represent Absence, modernity, power, sophistication, formality, elegance, wealth, mystery, style, evil, death (Western cultures), fear, anonymity, anger, sadness, remorse, mourning, unhappiness, sex, seriousness, conventionality, rebellion, anarchism, unity, sorrow, life, rebirth(ancient Egypt), slimming quality(fashion) January.

Red represent Passion, strength, energy, fire, love, sex, excitement, speed, heat, arrogance, ambition, leadership, masculinity, power, danger, gaudiness, blood, war, anger, revolution, radicalism, socialism, communism, aggression, summer, autumn, stop, Mars (planet), respect, Aries (star sign), December, the Roman Catholic Church, martyrs, the Holy Spirit, conservatism (U.S. politics).Studies show that red can have a physical effect, increasing the rate of respiration and raising blood pressure; red also is said to make people hungry; the red ruby is the traditional 40th wedding anniversary gift. Red is also the color of the devil in modern Western culture.

Blue represent Seas, men, productive (interior) skies, peace, unity, harmony, tranquility, calmness, coolness, confidence, conservatism, water, ice, loyalty, dependability, cleanliness, technology, winter, depression, coldness, idealism, obscenity, tackiness, air, wisdom, royalty, nobility, Earth (planet), Virgo (light blue), Pisces (pale blue) and Aquarius (dark blue) (star sign), strength, steadfastness, light, friendliness, July (sky blue), February (deep blue), peace, mourning (Iran), truthfulness, love, sadness, aloofness, the Virgin Mary, liberalism (U.S. politics)In many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, believed to keep the bad spirits away.

Green represent Great intelligence, life, nature, bad spirits, spring, fertility, youth, environment, wealth, money (US), good luck, vigor, generosity, go, grass, aggression, inexperience, envy, misfortune, coldness, jealousy, disgrace (China), illness, greed, corruption (North Africa), life eternal, air, earth (classical element), sincerity, hope, Cancer (bright green, star sign), renewal, natural abundance, growth, health, August, balance, harmony, stability, calming, creative intelligence, Islam, the ordinary.During the Middle Ages, both green and yellow were used to symbolize the devil. Green is believed to be the luckiest of colors in some western countries including, Britain, Ireland, and the U.S.

Yellow represent Sunlight, joy, happiness, earth, optimism, intelligence, idealism, wealth (gold), summer, hope, air, liberalism, cowardice, illness (quarantine), hazards, dishonesty, avarice, weakness, greed, femininity, gladness, sociability, summer, friendship, Gemini, Taurus, Leo (golden yellow, star signs), April, September, deceit, hazard signs, death (Middle Ages), mourning (Egypt), courage (Japan), God (gold). Yellow ribbons were worn during times of warfare as a sign of hope as women waited for their men to return.During the Middle Ages, both green and yellow were used to symbolize the devil.

Purple represent Envy, Sensuality, bisexuality, spirituality, creativity, wealth, royalty, nobility, ceremony, mystery, wisdom, enlightenment, arrogance, flamboyance, gaudiness, mourning, profanity, exaggeration, confusion, pride, Scorpio (violet, star sign), May, November, riches, romanticism (light purple), delicacy (light purple), penance.Purple is the color of mourning for widows in Thailand, favorite color of Egypt's Cleopatra, and the purple heart - given to soldiers who have been wounded during warfare.

Brown represent Calm, boldness, depth, natural organisms, nature, richness, rusticism, stability, tradition, anachronism, fascism, boorishness, dirt, dullness, filth, heaviness, poverty, roughness, earth (classical element), October, Capricorn, Scorpio (reddish brown, star signs), down-to-earth. Brown can stimulate the appetite, wholesomeness, steadfastness, simplicity, friendliness, and dependability.

1.2 Colors function for Army purpose

Have you wonder why most of the army uniform is in green colors? No doubt there are some uniform with other type of colors.

Let take Iraq war as an example , as we all know , a big area in Iraq is desert or nearly desert , there are less green tree at these areas ,what mostly seen is rock or dry earth , the natural colors is range from yellow to brown ,it is different from Vietnam , where there are a lot of green trees , the colors is mostly green.

Assume one of your relative , a young man , was requested to join the troops for a very simple mission at Iraq may be just to carry out normal survey work or any things not involved in battlefield .During the traveling through these desert area with their uniform all in green colors , all of these young soldiers is easily targeted for any killing as there area is in yellow to brown colors , where else their uniform is in green colors , any enemy can easily seen them and take a shoot at them , they are all in high risk at that area.

The worst they may be died due to the colors of their uniform.

Take a look at another example of army uniform which is in green color , the background color also is green , as such , they are not easily targeted, these colors can save their life.

The effect of colors for feng shui , one of it we can conclude “ the using of suitable colors can save live ,opposite is leading to death.”

Please take note that we are not the consultant for the United State Of America’s army uniform. We are not talking about the political issue , about Iraq or USA ,nor we talk about the terrorist or who is wrong who is right, we are talking about the colors effect. The colors may lead to a death for the above instance.

1.3 Ninja clothing

We always watch movie or TV series of the ninjas story ,the most impress part of the ninja is their clothes , we can observed that most of their clothes are in one color ,does these colors serve certain purpose of their tasks ,it is a very direct question , and for common answer , everybody know that ,the colors of ninjas clothes are purposely chosen.

If the ninjas were to come out at night , they will wear dark colors clothes ,either black ,blue ,grey as such , they will have better concealment at night.

During winter times ,when all areas of activities had been covered by snow , they would choose the white colors clothes for better concealment in the snow.

As their task was not to be seen by people , the colors of clothing can help them to increase the percentage of concealment at the specific area.

1.4 Space shuttle

We notice that most of space shuttle external body is painted in white color.
We can come to the basic knowledge , black color absorb and emit more radiation heat than white color.
White color will reflect more of the radiation heat and light.

In the outer space ,the temperature will be less than -200°C , if expose to the direct sun light ,it will cause immediate change to the space shuttle’s temperature ,the condition is worst when the space shuttle re-enter earth atmosphere where the searing heat may come to as high of 1650°C.

So the white color tiles will help to control the temperature inside the space shuttle during orbiting ;while the black tile will rapidly release the heat during atmospheric reentry.

1.5 Bullfights

Let take another example.

Most of people know the world most famous of Spain festival , that is “ Bullfights “. A lot of people wonder why the matador waved a small red cape at the bull?

Is it the only color that will attract bull attention?
Can the matador use other colors , like green ,or blue ,or white?

Actually ,all bulls are color blind ,all bulls cannot differentiate the cape colors , it is the cape motion which get the bull’s attention.

Suppose the bull ring and the ground is brown color , and the matador wear brown color too ,the cape used also is brown color ,will there be any action catch by the bull? No one know ,but for sure there will be less actions from the bull , as it cannot detect the motions , all environment is same color that is brown color.

Take a look at the audience , all audience will have less fun and excited .In the end , for a long run ,the bullfight may not be so famous if the cape color is not red.

Without the red color cape , there is less attraction to the tourist .
Opposite of it , the color of red have increase the number of tourist and the popularity of the festival.
Suppose one of your client is sensitive about red color , and he can easily get excited when he look at things in red color , if your building color is red , will there be deeply impression to him, when he visit your company which is in red color for the external wall?

Will there be any effect to the colors for feng shui?

There will be no direct answer at this blog. But indirectly ,I shown you the correct answer already.

1.6 Color effect of Nature reptilian

Anoles are cute little lizards--about 6" long. You can handle them and they don't get very big. They are also inexpensive and they change color between green and brown (at least the ones at the pet store I used to work at did; there are many kinds and I'm not sure if all of them change colors). Although the actual reason for this ability to change color is not known ,but basically we can conclude that its change the skin color according to its mood and environment, and its natural purpose is to protect itself from being obviously noticed by other reptilian .

Thus it can get its food easier and avoid or minimize the percentage of detect by other reptilian.
Just imagine , if there is an occasion where world well known people like Actor , Brad Pitt , Will Smith
, Tom Cruise , Nicole Kidman +++, US presiden George Bush or whole ever is famous , under normal circumstances , they can automatically attracted people attention, actually they do not want to be noticed for their private live .

In order to minimize the high rate of being noticed or being spied by the reporter , they shall adjust they appearance include the colors of their cloth , as such the colors of cloth is playing a very important role for the purpose.

1.7 Colors For Feng Shui - Study Purpose

Do you love your children ? If sometime he/she is not good in his/her study , do you feel upset.
Actually not everyone is born to be genius , but a lot of people was born to have some specialty
In certain area and they will be effected by certain color.

Of course the learning process may be different , so is the learning speed, for the Chinese who has their children week in study , some Chinese parents who exposed to Feng Shui belief , will consult the Feng Shui Master for advice .Sometime they just use the certain color for room can help improve the child academy achievement.

Let consider some special parent they like their house to be painted in sharp color , e.g “ RED” ,the study room of their children was also in sharp RED color ,imagine ,that the parent is lack of knowledge for the color effect , indirectly ,it cause the child to be excited all the time when he/she is studying in the room.

This color effect will cause the child cannot concentrate on his study.
Off course he/she is week in academy achievement.
After they get the advice from the Feng Shui Master , they change the room suitable color for their children ,usually the children will improve in their study.

The reason is because the RED color will cause certain people to be excited , for a long run , it greatly affect the people behavior.

1.8 Movie Poster with RED color

There was a great movie “ Pretty Women” ,two key star were “Richard Gere and Julia Robert “
Take a look at the poster. You must have notice earlier that Julia Roberts is wearing a RED shirt ,with the Movie Title in RED color just beside her , this RED color combine with black color is so catchy , it automatically give people a warm and friendly feeling , and you feel you will like it .

Deep in your heart , you may already discovered that when we look at Richard Gere in black shirt , we will feel sorrow , peace , calm ,cool or not likely volunteer to make friend ,just waiting for someone who initially take a first step to introducing us .

When our eyes sight move to Julia Roberts , we will feel a bit excited and energize and look at her friendly smile, we will feel like a best friend to us ,and we just want to get closer to her .

I would like to say the main factor for the success of the film is off course the Actors , The Story , The Director , The Music and other.

The less important part which play a good Role will be the combination colors of the poster .

1.9 Green Color Relief Eyes Stress

I have not yet come across any scientific experiment.
Always there are some people around who claim that when our eyes is tired , we can have a look at green trees , grass, it may relief some stress due to tired ,especially for the modern life now.

Recent decade there are increasing number of people who wear glass due to some normal eyes sickness ; e.g short sighted. The main reason is look at PC or TV for a long time (with the mass production of LCD TV ,less radiation effect to the eyes , the number may decreased), where eyes are too tired and self adjusted of eyes muscles until it become short sighted.

If we look at green things for some moment , our eyes may feel better.

From Feng Shui aspect , it has been discovered that the green color will help in certain sickness. Although it was not proven with scientific experiments , but always we practice to use
green color for one of these purposes.

Is It Ghost?, What is the color of the ghost? Does the colors for Feng Shui play some factor of existence?

1.10 Red ,Blue and Green color

I personally feel that the easier way to confirm that, color effect existence is carry out the comparison by self observation, because you are the only one in the world who can tell and know exactly what your feeling is .

Only after you try it out yourself , you will be sure that what we said you will feel the same too , although there is no scientific test or evidences, but it does not mean it does not exist. Before we discuss the color comparison , just read the below.

We can say that there are a lot of things which science cannot prove till today, even though we know it exist , take a look at few examples below :-

a)Albert Einstein quotes --- imagination is more important than knowledge ,for knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand , while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand. (is it really imagination exists even without the scientific proof and evidence? ,can anyone justify its existence?)

b)there is a common understanding or wide spread saying ,people after life may not exist or become a ghost , till today , there are some photos or videos taken to show the existence of ghost , but still lack of scientific evidence to proof its existence .

Although there are no evidence to proof the existence of ghosts , there are also no evidence to proof that the ghost does not exist?

What we can conclude is that our science ability is still not reach the level of proving any spiritual energy.

Further to that , we will come to discuss about a very sensitive issue to some religious ,
Can we conclude that there is no GOD even we cannot prove where is the GOD now ? Or can anyone lead me to talk to the GOD?

(I believe there is GOD somewhere in the universal , as GOD got power not to be seen by people ,not to be disturded , and not to be justify by people Its existence, It is above the science ,so it cannot be proved ,beside that , I think GOD also set its own rules ,that under normal circumstance ,it do not need to show where it is.)

It is the same for the color, different people when they wear different colors of cloth , they may have the different feeling , some may not have the feeling at all.

Some people when they wear red color cloth , they feel like more energetic, some people when they wear blue color cloth , they feel like they have very calm emotion , so try it yourself , to observe the different color affecting you. Then you know what I say is based on something. Off course your feeling is different from mine, but the human sense will be the same that you have some feeling.

To human eyes , the three basic color are red , blue, green , with the combination , mix and match , then we see a lot of colors, not to mention the colors which is not detected by normal human eyes, if we can see the colors different , off course it can incurred the different feelings to us. The feeling incurred may come to an extent to make us happy or sad , hard working or laziness feel like always want to sleep, these effects have been observed by Feng Shui expert long ago, and that is the purpose of colors for feng shui , using colors to improve our life for happiness, harmony and success.
